Lindsay Lohan accused of a cracked-out jewelry heist… again.

wenn3160194

It’s funny – just yesterday, CB expressed surprise that Lindsay Lohan seemed to be keeping her nose clean post-rehab. I told CB that I was waiting. Patiently waiting for Lindsay’s crack drama to rear its ugly, cracked-out head. And here it is. Lindsay is accused of “stealing” some high-end jewelry! Can you believe that? It’s like Our Poor Little Crackhead doesn’t have any kind of history being a cracked-out jewel thief. Except for this. And this. And this. And this. And all of those other times. Basically, Lindsay is a celebrity grifter, and I’ve believed for some time that Lindsay is likely living on and supporting herself by her years of cracked-out thievery. This is just the latest:

Cops have asked a Los Angeles judge for a search warrant for Lindsay Lohan’s Venice Beach home because they suspect she has stolen a high end piece of jewelry, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. What’s more, RadarOnline.com has also learned that investigators told the court they have video of the 24-year-old Hollywood actress wearing the missing bling!

“Lindsay is being accused of stealing high end jewelry, including a necklace,” one law enforcement source with knowledge of the situation told RadarOnline.com. “A search warrant was requested Tuesday at the Airport Court to search Lindsay’s house for the item of jewelry in question. Lindsay has been photographed and there is video of her wearing the jewelry she is accused of stealing.”

If the jewelry is valued at $5,000 or more, the Mean Girls starlet, who is relishing her freedom after jail and rehab, could be charged with a felony.

It’s unclear if the judge signed off on the search warrant. Lohan is still on probation and is facing possible criminal charges after a violent incident with a former Betty Ford worker on December 12.

Lohan was released from the clinic in Rancho Mirage, California, on January 3, after a 90-day stint in rehab.

She served the court-imposed stint in connection with her 2007 DUI conviction, as her repeated failures to meet the terms of her probation caused her to serve two stints in rehab — and two in jail — last year.

Lohan’s next court appearance on that matter is scheduled for February 25.

[From Radar]

At first I thought the necklace in question was this heart-shaped pendant that was allegedly “given” to her by Pascal Mouwad, but I don’t think that’s it. TMZ is more specific about the crime – last week, an LA store filed a police report, claiming that the $5000 necklace was stolen, and that Blohan was on the surveillance video, wearing the necklace before it disappeared.

Anyway, before the cops got a search warrant and were able to search Lindsay’s Venice Beach crack den, “one of Lindsay’s associates” turned the necklace in to the Pacific Division of the LAPD Tuesday night. That happened last night – and the DA has to make a choice as to whether or not to press ahead with charges.

Hey, remember when Lindsay’s crack heists involved, like, $400,000 worth of jewelry? How the mighty have fallen – getting caught up in a heist that’s barely worth $5000. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

And of course she gets away with this one, too. Cue Innocent chiming in about poor, misunderstood LL in 3, 2, 1…

  2. whitedaisy says:

    Girl remains a mess.

  3. Wicked SteppMom says:

Love how she’s pointing to her nose in the top photo, as if to say “This is where my career went…”

  4. Rita says:

If California law states that if one simply returns the item one stole after being caught, then there is no crime, why are the prisons full? Justicee for all.

  5. mln76 says:

Surprise, surprise. This girl belongs in jail end of story.

  6. brin says:

Guess the LAPD cracked this case, eh?

  7. MarenGermany says:

    yeah well. bound to happen.
no matter if that is actually true or not, I´m totally convinced that Lindsay´s got no sense of other peoples property.
She herself doesnt keep track of her own, throwing things out, buying new…endless circle. So why should she give a crap about other peoples stuff?
She likes it, she takes it.
    Plus, I´m convinced she´s like
“yeah, they should be happy that I´M the one taking it.”

And than Dina files a law suit for all the publicity her daughter gives to them.

  8. skilo says:

No doubt her friend turned it in for her to head off a search warrant being served, who knows what they might have found in the crackies den.

  9. Quest says:

It was to quiet for to long. LL had to upstage Charlie and get the media to focus back to her.

“look at me” “look at me”

The girl is like a serious brain fart that needs help

  10. Innocent says:

In relation to the value of the alleged stolen item well it happened in Venice. Given that the necklace was returned then i think this incident will be classified as a “misunderstanding”

  11. devilgirl says:

    “Airport Court” WTF?

  12. Richi says:

This chick is brainless and retarded! if she doesn’t learn her lesson while in jail or at a rehab then i really wonder if she would ever want to do so. Jeez gurl where is your dignity?????

  13. gillie says:

she should be in a cell with Big Berta and trading favors for cigarettes. She does not belong on the streets, walking free.

  14. MarenGermany says:

@innocent stealing is not the same as a “misunderstanding”.

Plus, you are right, she AGAIN wont have to stand up to her actions.

    And so the story continues…….

  15. happygirl says:

How many chances is she going to get? She must have the “Life by Charlie Sheen” handbook. No consequences. Ever. I really just don’t understand. I was hoping charges would have been pressed after the incident with the Betty Ford worker, simply because she thinks she’s above the law..but now…I’m really hoping there is some kind of consequence coming for her. And by consequence, I mean jail. I hate to say that, but I have no respect for people that get away with EVERYTHING. Crack shenanigans at it’s best.

  16. Jackson says:

Now, can they add tax onto the cost of the necklace to make it a felony? That sounds fair….

  17. xxodettexx says:

i am with everyone in voicing strong disgust with how this crackie has managed to avoid real consequences for all her crack shenanigans!

  18. mimi says:

I was just reading thru the comments on TMZ, Im c/p this response that could not have been written by anyone other than Delusional Dina. “Sam” (AKA Dina) blames the store for letting her walk out with it and threatens law suits.
Hope its okay I post this but its good for lolz.
    From TMZ comments….

The store does not have a case. If the store had knowledge of Lindsay with the property as she was exiting it is up the store to retain the item. The store will claim that they are the rightful owner of items in their store however they relinquish ownership of items to their customers.

They allowed her to leave the premises with the items therefore she is allowed to keep them, that’s the law. Even if when she is at a later time questioned by the police she does not have to surrender any items the store had given her previously.

Whatever arrangement the store made with the police to secure items that the store claims does not render Lindsay guilty of any crimes.

The store should have approached Lindsay while she was exiting the store if they believed she was stealing.

The store owner could have planted the item on Lindsay’s person and made this entire thing up for publicity.

Lindsay could win a civil suit against the store for liability and defamation.

The police could also be sued by Lindsay for wrongful detaining when they were questionning Lindsay concerning this event. They do not have the right to illegally question anyone without proof.

This would be a VERY easy case for Lindsay’s lawyers to win, the law makes it very clear on this particular subject. They let her leave the store with the item(s), they were gifting her the items.

Did they plant the items on her? Were they aware of where their property was at all times? If they were aware why did not they not do something? It sounds very fishy, there’s no telling what that store owner was up to, the police should NOT have interfered at ALL. All the police did was open themselves up for a civil suit. The officer in charge will probably lose his job.

Lindsay can sue the store, the county sheriff (or whomever), more specifically the arresting officer and of course the his superior officer.

  19. GradStudentEatingHotPockets says:

@mimi…so they’re basically saying that if I walk out of the store with something and the store doesn’t get it back before I leave…it becomes mine? Because I may quit grad school and just pick up shoplifting! No more eating hot pockets for me!!!!

  20. Jackson says:

LOL, they were ‘gifting’ her the item. Maybe that ‘anonymous poster’ should consider that the store did not just let the crackie leave with the necklace. Perhaps they didn’t know she left with it on? And, really, why on earth would anyone be ‘gifting’ this chick anything? She is hardly someone you want to represent your company.

  21. happygirl says:

@ mimi – thanks for posting! Wow. Of COURSE it’s the store’s fault. OF COURSE IT IS! Unbelievable. Infuriating. That’s all I’ve got before the cursing starts. LOL

    LMAO @ GradStudent! Haha! Right!?!

  22. Jazz says:

She probably got jealous of all the attention Teflon Chuck is getting.

  23. Quest says:

I wanna move to Cali and start a new line of business – “Lift and Return It” where we can take, sorry “borrow” jewelry get your clients to wear it and return it before you are charged.

By “law” there should be nothing wrong or illegal here…RIGHT!

  24. tooey says:

California is soft – back when I worked in law in Alabama, stealing anything valued at more than $25 was considered a felony, I’m pretty sure. So in Cali, I can steal up to $4,999 worth of stuff and it’s still just a misdemeanor? Sweet!

  25. Jayna says:

I know she’s stolen before and gotten away with it. I think a watch and fur coat. She gets out of rehab, is broke, and this is what she does. Stealing for materialistic reasons, wanting bling she can’t afford. I officially feel she is hopeless. I expect her to relapse. There is something fishy with the whole altercation at the rehab center and coming in with people drunk, anyway. Lindsay, I hate to say it, is white trash in a lot of ways. You will never be able to class her up.

  26. Ruby Red Lips says:

@ Innocent – WTF is wrong with you??!! You’re condoning stealing???!! You’re obviously smoking the same crack pipe as Lindsay!!!!!

“They allowed her to leave the premises with the items therefore she is allowed to keep them, that’s the law.”

@ Mimi, great post 😉 & now I know that I can become a career criminal, walking out of stores with items on my being because in ‘Lohan Land’ stealing is LEGAL!!!

god, my parents raised me all wrong, they taught me to pay for stuff and earn money to pay for it by working…oh the damn fools!! ;P

  27. anoneemouse says:

Why is it that every scenario involving this girl doing something wrong ends up with the finger being pointed at someone else with threats of a lawsuit? What is wrong with our society that allows this type of person to run rampant in the streets? No hope for this girl. We all knew it long ago. Trash trash trash trash

  28. flourpot says:

@innocent Do you really believe what you say or are you Celebitchy’s greatest gossip troll? At first I thought you were just a sheltered idiot but I’m starting to think you’re just f’ing with us.

  29. Pam says:

    @Quest: LMFAO

  30. Sassy says:

@Mimi… OMG. That has to be Dina. It stinks of delusion of the highest order, so it’s got to be a Blohan who wrote it. I’m glad she cleared up the law for us. I would love a pair of diamond earrings and who knew all I had to do was leave the jewelry store without the staff knowing I have the diamond earrings and they’re MINE! And then I can sue anyone who tries to arrest me or who “defames” me by saying I have stolen them. Can’t wait to go shoplifting, er, shopping. 😉

  31. Marjalane says:

If law enforcement in CA won’t do anything to Charlie Sheen for having a briefcase full of coke, they probably don’t care that stickyfingers Lohan is ripping off jewelry stores.

  32. eja102 says:

maybe I misread the story (I do skim at times) but if they “planted ” it on her, the store, that would mean they planted it around her neck, since she was seen wearing it?

or, I really don’t care. I do though, these stories are funny.

  33. Innocent says:

    @flourpot
The store got the alleged stolen item back so i don’t think anything will happen. Everyone knows Lindsay has Shawn Chapman Holley on speed dial so it would be a lot of hassle and legal fees for the store to try and prosecute LL for the alleged crime.
The easiest and simplest thing for everyone is it being called a “misunderstanding” and no legal action being taken.

  34. Ruby Red Lips says:

    Innocent – read this, the latest from TMZ… be interested to hear your delusional crack take on this;

“Lindsay Lohan is firing back at a store owner who claims the actress stole a $2,500 necklace last month — telling friends, “It’s bulls**t … I don’t have any necklace.”

Lohan also claims the person who filed the police report against her is “nuts” — despite surveillance video that we’re told shows Lindsay wearing the piece inside the shop.

As we previously reported … the LAPD obtained a search warrant to sweep through Lindsay’s house for the item — but one of Lindsay’s associates returned the necklace to cops before the search was executed.

So far, Lohan hasn’t explained how the necklace got out of the store and into her associate’s possession.”

Love it!!! She can’t even lie properly anymore!!

  35. lilred says:

Innocent: The easiest and simplest thing for everyone is it being called a “misunderstanding” and no legal action being taken.

It seem to me that LL has had too many easy and simple solutions for her crap and not enough accountability or taking responsibility.

She should have learned long ago that stealing, lying, etc. is wrong.

  36. lin234 says:

lol The only misunderstanding there is, is that LoWhan still thinks she’s a huge star so stores should comp her for just being in there.

@mimi Def sounds like delusion to the highest order.

  37. TeeTee says:

    old sticky fingers!!

soon as I see her coming, I start closing up.

    “oh, sorry, we’re closing early”

  38. RAVE says:

    @Quest (9): LMAO

    BRAIN FART….hahaha

  39. Marie says:

Anything I say is just going to be really nasty, so I am just going to go shovel more snow. (Please do us a favor and overdose). Well shit that just slipped out, now I am going to go shovel.

  40. anoneemouse says:

I will be watching closely to see what happens with the police. If nothing happens, I am booking the first flight I can to California and going shop[lift]ing on Rodeo Drive…anyone care to join me?

  41. Franny says:

    – I hate when commenters on here go “cue (whatever) in 3,2,1… lets be a little original here…

    – her hair looks nice in that last picture

    – what can we really say that hasn’t been said before? she’s a crazy drunk who steals and lies. off to jail with you!

  42. kas says:

I’m sure Michael Lohan will be on HLN explaining (loudly) this whole thing away tonight.

They suuure didn’t want anybody going into her house. Wonder why?

  43. futureperfect says:

    Winona really got shafted.

  44. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    Hhhhhhhhhhhaahahahahahahahaa..

whew this is like deja vu

  45. Ron says:

When I worked in BH, I watched people ie Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Celebrities get busted for stealing and usually they were prosecuted, esp by one of the places I worked. The other one was more lenient and would let celebs etc off with warnings because the store didn’t want to lose it’s hip celeb status. I think in CA the threshold for it being a felony is 1,000.00 now, but realistically, the person will pay court costs and restitution. When I was working there, you got to know and recognize the regular shoplifters. Sad.

  46. Novaraen says:

Other reports say it was a 2,500 dollar necklace..(still nothing to sneeze at)…and that she had a “friend” return it.

She probably will get in ZERO trouble for this. BAH!

  47. Nanz says:

Ditto, futureperfect. I was thinking the same.

  48. munchies says:

Lidsey is not only a has been and never had, but also an addict and a classless Kleptomaniac.

  49. lucy2 says:

That’s hilarious, mimi, and clearly Dina. So by that logic, as long as someone makes it out the door before a store notices and stops them, it’s legally theirs?!?!
I think the first rule of all stores in CA should be – DO NOT LET A LOHAN “TRY ON” ANYTHING!

She really is the female Charlie.

  50. WhiteNoise says:

@Mimi – LMAO!! Thanks for posting, funniest thing I’ve read all day! Got to give it to DinaSam, she doesn’t go down without a fight!

Seriously, no wonder Lyndsay is like she is with this for a mother.

  51. julbug says:

wait until she kills someone, it’s coming

  52. Ruby Red Lips says:

TMZ has reported that Lindsay is now saying her stylist borrowed the necklace and forgot to return it!!!!

WTF!!! All lies, but she is so going to get off…again!

  53. hellen says:

Future headline: Lindz has a Dana Plato moment, robs video store at gunpoint. Later an “associate” returns the money – so everything’s okay, since it was just a “misunderstanding”!

  54. Devon says:

TMZ says that the case is going to the DA office and LL’s probation officer has been notified. I love how the necklace was returned prior to the police showing up at her house. If shed done nothing wrong, why would she return it? If she honestly thought everything was good, shed have no problem having police come to her house and take it. Most likely she has some of the bad shit at her place and doesn’t want to get busted on drug charges AGAIN.

Please oh please let her go to jail and for an extended period of time. Rehab clearly doesn’t work and being in jail for a couple of weeks doesn’t do it either. It’s stupid that they treat addicts with kit gloves. 5 times in rehab and she’s still a sticky fingered crackhead doing the crackie shuffle/hustle. She’s beyond hopeless.

  55. Kim says:

Rita – CA law does not state that at all. Once you leave the store with an unpaid for item you can be prosecuted. Even if you run right back in and say oops i didnt pay for this the store can press charges.

Shoplifting doesnt mean jail time at all. You have to steal several times over a certain amount of $ for it to result in jail time unless you have a previous record and/or are on probation, like Lindsay, who will most likely serve jail time if found guilty of this crime.

If this is true I cant believe Lindsay! Its sad how messed up she is.

  56. dj says:

Someone remind me why Winona Ryder got such a bad rap for this type of behavior (there was video footage too) a few years ago? Have the laws changed in California? Weird.
