Here are some photos from last night’s CFDA Awards (where Lady Gaga was named a “Fashion Icon”). Jessica Alba was in attendance, of course, because she doesn’t have much going on and she fancies herself a fashion girl. She jacked some color tips from Cheryl Cole for this Diane Von Furstenberg gown. Is this the new color scheme and no one told me? Bright purple and orange, co-existing together in one outfit. Good to know. In any case, considering the maternity dress doesn’t look like Pepto-Bismol vomit, I’m going to give Alba a fashion pass. Yeah, this color scheme is very “Jack Nicholson as The Joker”. But the real style fail is Alba’s hair. Very few women can really make this tightly-slicked back, “instant facelift” hairstyle work. On Alba, it looks wonky. She has such pretty hair – why not just style it around her face?
Next up: Lucy Liu, over-dressing in Monique Lhuillier. Most ladies were wearing cocktail dresses, but there were a few gowns. But basically it was just Gaga and Liu who decided to wear giant show-stopping dresses. Gaga’s excuse was that she was being named a fashion icon. Liu doesn’t have an excuse. She just decided to wear a ball gown to a cocktail party.
Here’s Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein. I love the dress… on Naomi. On someone else, it might have looked like an unfashionable sack. You have to be slender and blonde to make this sack look good, I think.
And finally, Kelly Bensimon wearing God knows what. She really has no idea how to keep it covered up. She looks like Steven Tyler.

I think she looks lovely. I’d ditch the earrings, but that’s just me. I love that color combo!!!! And I think very few can pull off that pulled back hairstyle, but her face is flawless, so she can.

The top part to Jessica’s dress is ill fitting. She looks terrible. Lucy Liu, however, looks gorgeous.

Jessica’s dress would have been a win if the top had been more fitted. She should have worn something that hugged her preggo boobies, instead she looks like someone who is a medium wearing an extra-large.

I don’t like Jessica’s dress but I do love the colours. I love Lucy Liu; where has she been, what’s she doing? Kelly Bensimon looks ridiculous. The last time I remember seeing pics of Kelly on a red carpet she was wearing an obscene one-piece swimsuit/leotard-thing with sleeves that was exposing a large portion of her vaginal lips – and now this. What is wrong with her, why would she want to wear that? That’s so inappropriate. In addition, Kelly is tall and slim but she has a very unattractive, unshapely, hard, mannish body that’s not sexy at all, but she obviously sees something else because she always wants that body out there.

I hate orange and purple together. And her hairline is SO WEIRD. Haha. I don’t think it’s a good idea to attempt that hairstyle while you’re pregnant because your face gets fuller.

Lucy overdid it but she is not inappropriate. Naomi looks gorgeous and Jessica looks very pregnant, I think her makeup is nice and I love her hair pulled back for the sleek look.

As for that piece of salmon jerky: why does she even bother putting on clothes? Just walk around in your bra and panties, FFS. (No, really, please don’t…but you catch my drift, yeah?)

It’s horrible. How she doesn’t know she looks horrible is beyond me. As for Liu’s dress, I think she over did it, but she looks absolutely stunning. Bensimon looks hella awful and I don’t really like anything but the color of Naomi’s dress.
