In a rare move, Rihanna toned down the sleaze and brought the glamour at the Met Gala. Is anyone else surprised that she’s not wearing tacky, cheap Stella McCartney like she did at last year’s event? I wonder what the story is there because RiRi usually loves her oddly-shaped, ill-fitting Stella designs. Strange.
For last night’s event, Rihanna wore a Tom Ford gown in a black crocodile-like fabric that was not only backless but was probably sewn onto her, never to be removed again. That body! Rihanna was covered up, but every nook and cranny is clearly visible, and the overall effect is surprisingly tasteful. The black nails are a little bit too much, but it’s the Met, so she gets a pass this time. Rihanna’s makeup was quite simple with shades of nude for the lips and cheeks and a slightly more daring job in the eye department. She’s got such great bone structure.
Here’s the part of the dress that I like the most — the very dramatic back view. It’s sexy without being trashy and the way I wish Rihanna always dressed.

This dress would have looked fantastic paired with a slick, short, modern haircut.
Instead, the puffy birds nests she stuck all over her head take the whole look down to a cheap streetwalker level. AGAIN. This girl could not look classy, I believe now, if her life depended on it. Cheap skank all the way – she even cheapens this beautiful dress. Shame.

THAT body? Meh. Even in that terribly I’ll fitting dress Biel is wearing you can tell her body is AMAZING (and her ass is spectaular). Rihanna is too thin and has lost all of her shape. Plus her bad attitude makes it difficult for me to find ANYTHING she does attractive.

Agree, her attitude is lacking. I mentioned this in another thread, but she fancied herself the fashion “it” girl by arriving last to the red carpet. Rhianna you are popular,but I don’t think you’ve earned the right to close Met red carpet
And late to boot! You could hear the photogs on the live stream, they were pissed that she was late and making comments about how others can make it on time, but not her.

I love the sleek, shiny dress. The texture is cool and it clings in all the right places. I hate those long, black claws nails. Her hair is messy, but I think it works because the dress is hard-edged and rock and roll rather than pretty. No need for an updo.

Some gala if this talentless ho bag was allowed in. Her awful lip synching attempt at performing on SNL was trashed on many other sites – She can’t sing live, doesn’t play an instrument, all her generic dance junk is written by pros – how is she an “artist?” Combine that with an intellect of a ten yr old – this is all smoke and mirrors feeding delusional people. It is rather strange that people nit pick that she can never totally get it right. She, like us all is not perfect. Hilarious that many can’t stand the girl but can’t keep away from commenting about her. Personally, if I don’t like a celeb or story, I keep it moving. It isn’t hard.
