James McAvoy vs. Vincent Cassel at ‘Trance’ premiere: who would you rather?

Here are some photos from the UK premiere of Trance, which is Danny Boyle’s latest film (his first since 127 Hours). The film stars James McAvoy (yum), Rosario Dawson (who boned the director, then broke up with him just a little while ago) and Vincent Cassel (mama like), and it’s sort of a heist film, but it’s looks kind of like standard Danny Boyle-frenzy WITH a heavy dose of noir. Here’s the NSFW redband trailer – BEWARE, there are some graphic images in here:

It looks good, although Danny Boyle tends to have one or two scenes in every one of his films where I have to look away. Like, he consistently crosses some sort of gross line at least once in every film. In Trainspotting, it was the toilet scene. In Slumdog, it was the toilet scene. Huh.

Anyway, I’m including an assortment of photos of all of the main actors at the premiere. Rosario wore red Jenny Packham – it’s a beautiful gown and she looks gorgeous. The dress seems more suited to Duchess Kate or Angelina (it IS sort of sacky). James McAvoy is still rocking his ginger beard and I know a lot of you will be more focused on him, which is fine. I’m totally cool with being the only one around here with a crush on Vincent Cassel. He seems like a dog, he’s odd-looking and he’s crazy-talented. I LOVE HIM. I wouldn’t marry him but I would do dirty things to him. That being said, how many times is Cassel going to play the accented bad-guy/gangster in an English-language film?

PS… I want James and Michael Fassbender to have a Ginger Beard-Off. Who would win?!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’ll have to pick monsieur Cassel UNTIL AFTER JAMES MCAVOY SHAVES THAT AWFUL GINGER BEARD. That’ll teach him.

How is this even a question? Always McAvoy.

Although, is it me or is the beard starting to look really lopsided?

I think I would try to get with Vincent Cassel only to get a chance to chat with
    Monica Bellucci.

Vincent Cassel no question. That man would do me down and dirty so him.

Rosario looks gorgeous from the neck up. The dress is too matronly, poorly fitted.

Vincent Cassel by a country mile. He’s not handsome but he is terribly sexy. and I know I’m in the minority here, but I don’t find McEvoy attractive at all. Great actor, and seems like a nice guy, but sexy? Nope.

And maybe I’m imagining it, but Rosario and Danny Boyle look suitably awkward in this photo.

I have to say I’m a little distracted from the photos by the red band trailer, tbh (although I will say I’d choose the Mac, always and forever.)
Blimey, Danny Boyle does love to make people squirm. I feel a little weird that I laughed at Vincent Cassel talking with a bit missing from him 0_o It just looked so ridiculous!
Definitely going to see the film, although I might choose my cinema snacks with a little more care after seeing the trailer.

None of them, but I can’t stand Cassel. On contrary, I’d like to be friend with McAvoy, he seems a nice and funny man, I love his interview, like this one : http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/76226513.html

Since Vincent Cassel hasn’t looked good since Ocean’s Twelve so I’ll go with James McAvoy. He looks good with the beard.

Vincent Cassel all the way. Because yes we’v hung out a few times together, he’s incredibly smart and funny, a tad pompous but eh it comes off as sexy more than anything else.

I can see why one would think of Jolie when looking at the dress Rosario is wearing because they have similar body types (broad shoulder, large breast, and no define waist/narrow hips).

I absolutely get the Vincent Cassel thing. He is sexy and I have a thing for arrogance – like he would throw down without kissing me and then tell me he didn’t like my shoes afterwards. Not to mention his parkour in Oceans Twelve – you know that man has moves.

That said, The Mac is a forever dong so I guess my answer is: Sandwich.

Wow, I didn’t know he had a ginger beard. He somewhat looks like Tom Hardy.. Well, I still prefer James, he’s so hot and talented and classic -that’s the word that comes to mind when I think of him-.

Also Vincent Cassel is ageing pretty badly, isn’t he?

mr mcavoy is mighty hot, but good GOD, that movie looks like yet another ridicilous hollywood production with pseudoscientists, many nude scenes and even more bloody scenes. it certainly doesn’t look good.
