Of course Prince William & Kate ‘authorized’ Jason Knauf’s smears on Meghan

The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge Attend the Royal Variety Performance

Just so we’re perfectly clear and all on the same page, Jason Knauf and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are ALL organizing one of the most clownish and vile smear campaigns against Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. They’ve been doing it throughout the year. William, Kate and Jason Knauf left their fingerprints all over the “Meghan is a bully” story back in early March. That was pushed in advance of the Sussexes’ Oprah interview. Then over the summer, Jason Knauf was once again used by William and Kate to attack Meghan, which is why Knauf turned over selectively edited emails and texts to the Mail on Sunday’s lawyers in their appeal of Meghan’s victorious summary judgment. Very few people on Isla de Saltines are asking the question though: “so this means that William and Kate authorized their closest aides to repeatedly and desperately assassinate Meghan’s character?” The answer is an obvious yes.

Dickie Arbiter previously did Knauf’s job, but for Queen Elizabeth II from 1988 to 2000 and was asked whether William and Kate’s approval would have been required on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat. He replied: “I would put my money on it.”

It comes after the newspaper’s editor, Ted Verity, previously said in a witness statement that they had an additional source, beyond Knauf, providing “high-grade” information.

On the chat show, royal author Duncan Larcombe added: “Lawyers from The Mail on Sunday would have approached Jason Knauf, knowing that these emails existed. That would have been the point. Most likely, Jason would have gone to William and Kate. He would not have cooperated with those lawyers without their definite knowledge.”

Knauf handed in his resignation at the Royal Foundation in May and subsequently offered new information in support of The Mail on Sunday’s case. However, he is not the newspaper’s only contact as court filings show a well-placed source tipped off the publisher that Knauf had had a change of heart.

A filing read: “It was only in July 2021 that [The Mail on Sunday] received information from a confidential source to the effect that Mr Knauf now regretted not providing a witness statement to us… [The Mail on Sunday] sought to make contact with Mr Knauf in September 2020 after being told by a source that he (Mr Knauf) had relevant evidence to give on important aspects of the case.”

In January 2020, the newspaper told the judge in the original High Court case of a “high-grade” royal source who had provided information to Ted Verity. Verity said in a witness statement: “The source had direct knowledge of the matters they told me about and which are set out below. I have absolutely no reason to think the source was being anything other than completely truthful. This was not gossip or tittle-tattle: it was what I considered to be high-grade information from a serious individual in a position of authority and responsibility who knew the implications of what they were telling me.”

[From Newsweek]

Knauf “would not have cooperated with those lawyers without their definite knowledge.” I would argue – and I have argued – that these schemes were cooked up by William and Jason entirely. Knauf ran the “bullying staff” operation for years, it was the fail-safe operation to be employed in case of emergency. Suddenly, Knauf would produce these emails he wrote accusing Meghan of looking at people and making white women cry with her existence. I would think that Knauf providing his texts and emails to the MoS’s appeal was more of a happy accident for William, Kate and Jason. They didn’t expect Meghan to win her summary judgement and they were looking for something new to do to her, to hurt her. I do believe that these are mostly Kensington Palace schemes because they’re so childish and clownish, and William is such a stunted individual. I could absolutely see him thinking that all of this was a good idea.

And water is wet. These people are just plain evil. They have no remorse for driving a woman to the brink of suicide. I hope they all get exposed as the liars they are.

Also, that pic of Kate and her manic face and wavy hands is so bad. Pretty sure that’s comedian Chris McCausland, and he’s blind. Yikes.

    • Kalana says:

Never mind remorse. They feel empowered by doing it. As far as they’re concerned, Meghan was inconveniencing them by daring to marry Harry. Bet Prince Charles thought she was rising about her station.

    • MMadison says:

Disgusting people. Mark my word it will all comeback on them. What you give you get back

    • Meg says:

so many hand gestures in all three pictures after the post lol

  2. Scorpion says:

Oh, I am glad the Keens authorised this, so that when it blows up, it will land on their doorstep.

Also they will be no reconciliation and photos or a relationship of the ‘cousins’

If I were H, I would be dunzo and the next time, I saw Willileaks, it would be on sight 👊🏾

    • Chloe says:

I wonder if it will blow up in their faces because i really have not seen the uk press push this angle as hard as the “meghan is a liar” angle.

    • ArtHistorian says:

I’m astonished that William is so blatantly attacking Meghan at this point, especially when Harry is still writing his memoir. Harry is the one with the temper, if KP keeps antagonizing him like this H might just drop some truth bombs.

On a general level, I find it so strange that KP isn’t even trying to cover their tracks when it comes to their roles in this media war against Meghan. They are not even trying to hide behind the veil of plausible deniability. It is such a bad look for anyone who isn’t drinking the “Meghan is evil”-cool aid. Outside of the echo chamber, it makes him look really petty and vindictive against a family member and it makes the entire operation at KP look like an unprofessional clown show. It is a very very bad look for a future head of state.

      • Kalana says:

Racism covers for a great deal. They’re racists and trying to appeal to racists. What’s going on in England politically matches with William’s behavior.

      • STRIPE says:

I’m not surprised at all. He’s gotten away with everything so far, why not keep going? If he’s never held accountable in any real way, he’ll keep doing what he’s doing.

      • Cessily says:

In other words the real William has shown himself..

      • Watson says:

Well, William was never known as the brightest crayon in the box. Is this really that surprising that he’d go out of his way to do this and not cover his tracks? The more that these stories leak the more Harry will retaliate though. All bets are off!

      • Eurydice says:

I’m kind of astonished it’s happening at all. I really don’t understand the point of any of these attacks now that H&M have been gone for 2 years. Meghan isn’t going to say anything against the RF and Harry will be respectful (unless pushed) – so what’s the point? W&K are boring, but acceptable to the public – this can’t make them more interesting. Knauf is on the way out, so who cares what happens to him? Why would W&K get involved in a lawsuit that has nothing to do with them? What do any of them, apart from MoS, have to gain? The only thing I can imagine is that none of this has anything to do with Meghan at all – I mean, clearly she’s the target, but she’s just a smokescreen. Well, the other possibility is that William is completely bonkers…but even that doesn’t make sense.

      • Von Barron says:

I think blatantly showing their hand on this is the point. It’s to preemptively strike at Harry. And say “yep. We did this. And you can’t do shit. “ and they think this is a form of winning.

I went to STA the year they graduated. I’m doing a lot of reflecting on how they would treat me sometimes (aristocratic people at the uni not Bill and Kathy, I never met them). I just thought they were twats and clueless and it was funny. In their tiny gene pool with their bad teeth and early balding. They despised my American-ness. They HATED truth, and they were all highly racist but all dated Indian and Arab girls in secret.

      • Nick G says:

@Von Barron gross. I would like to know more about the hating of truth, if you care to share. I think truth is the most important topic of the times right now.

      • Kalana says:

@Eurydice. William gets to bully Meghan through the press and keep the attention off his scandals.

      • Eurydice says:

@Kalana – I’m a person who loves logic so it baffles me when people behave so weirdly that it’s against their best interests. He must have a closet full of truly damaging scandals to go through this much effort.

      • Sid says:

Eurydice, it seems that whatever the tabloids have on Willileaks is earth shattering. Reporters and well connected people have been hinting at it on SM and even in print. And it must be bad enough that even the best spin doctors wouldn’t be able to spin it away if it got out. Otherwise Willileaks wouldn’t be going to these lengths to keep it quiet.

      • Eurydice says:

@Sid – Thanks, I had heard murmurs, but it all seems so futile the further away we get from Sussexit. Now, it’s kind of live because of the lawsuit, but that will be decided one way or the other and will eventually fade. And by disgorging all the texts and emails now, what else Meghan-related does he have to give the tabloids in the future? Some animal noises about the Jubilee or the Queen’s passing? In 5 years, is he still going to be bleating about Meghan the bully? Or will he try to throw someone else under the bus, someone who won’t be so kind and quiet as are Harry and Meghan, somebody like Kate?

      • ElleE says:

@Arthistorian The Royals don’t play the corporate PR game and the majority of the
better-known BRF do not like Harry and they don’t like Meghan. Harry had known this most of his life; now that I know what I am looking for, I see a younger Harry hanging back and shifting around while his father and his brother take light hearted jabs at him. They didn’t have to do this: they chose to playfully make him a target in public, let stories about his partying leak and Harry responded by doing 2 tours in Afghanistan to get away from his family. Not one family member mentioned him or his service while he was away (that I know of) even though it would make the family look good, because they don’t like him.

What I am trying to say is: there has been ooo open dislike or rather disfavor (look at the shitty house he got for a wedding present, and then his shitty family let all of those stories run about them squandering public preservation finds when they easily could have spun it as a preservation project) of Harry forever, what would the impetus be for the BRF to start hiding that now?

( even Harry’s projects were stunted in the UK whereas his most successful, like Invictus succeeded internationally in spite of his family lack of UK support because he is a rock star on the international stage and at home, he is the drunken, half-witted spare.)

      • Christine says:

I have been plodding my way through the archives, and this one feels particularly on point.

        https://www.celebitchy.com/607641/page_six_duchess_meghan_prince_harry_are_high_maintenance_now/

This has been what KP was going for, from the beginning. I am so grossed out. Harry and Meghan were newlyweds, waiting for their first child, and KP was already sowing the seeds to take them down. I am so glad they got away.

    • Gabby says:

The perfect time for it to blow up would be right before they try to bring their EarthShotItselfInTheFoot Awards to the US. Right then, yeah.

  3. Deanne says:

I’ve never been less shocked. The toxicity of that family is grotesque.

  4. Chloe says:

Meghan and harry fans have been saying this. Of course jason wouldn’t go rogue. Have the UK morning shows mentioned this bit as well?

And i disagree. I think they were fully aware that the mail hand no legs to stand on and would loose this case. I do think however, that they were surprised that meghan had the guts to sue in the first place. But jason handing over those confidential emails and texts (selectively) had only 1 purpose: to smear her.

    • Lyds says:

I, for one, am still waiting for these “high-grade” and “important” contents that properly smear and disprove Meghan’s case. Don’t tell me they were handed over already? That can’t be all that Knauff has got, right?

  5. Becks1 says:

Of course this was done with william and kate’s knowledge/authorization/approval – whether it was their idea or Jason’s, they absolutely knew about all of this, from the bullying allegations to his witness statement, etc.

It sure sounds like William is the one who called the MoS editor, right?

they’re garbage people like I’ve been saying and I’m glad that some of these “experts” are finally admitting that W&K would definitely have known about this – even if its Arbiter and Larcombe or whoever and they’re still being way too nice and deferential to the cambridges about it.

    • Lizzie Bathory says:

They’re all but saying that William called the MoS. It feels like the RR are getting perilously close to that breaking point of feeling like they can tell the truth about William & Kate. They never would have admitted this sort of story in previous years.

If the DM’s appeal fails (& I suspect it will, meaning they’ll eventually have to pay Meghan & run an apology), I think they will be out for blood after being promised that Jason & KP would have their backs.

      • Chloe says:

I feel like they’re angry meghan sued in the first place. The way they seem to be going on about how she’s “been advised it would be unwise” to sue, seems to me like jason gave the dm reassurance that she wouldn’t take legal action. Just like he gave them reassurance that her friends wouldn’t speak to the media. I wonder if they will actually retaliate if they lose this case again, because they will even if it goes to trial.

      • Lizzie Bathory says:

Yes–I commented on another thread that they were promised Meghan would never get her own lawyers & never sue. Now Jason & KP are in debt to the ruthless tabloids. It’s a position I don’t envy, even though they got themselves there.

      • Harper says:

If we conclude William has a long-standing side piece (not Rose), I wonder if she is supportive of the trash Meghan campaign as well? Because it seems as if no one can convince Burger King to pull back where Meghan is concerned and it’s been going on for a LONG time. There seems to be no one in his inner circle telling him to slow it down. Whoever this chick on the side is, she’s not whispering sense into Burger King’s ear either.

      • Nic919 says:

I don’t think it was William. I think Wootton knew Knauf was going to produce the texts because they have been in touch for everything else.

But I don’t understand the need to help the DM with this lawsuit seeing as Charles had his own case on this issue years ago and his case is precedent here. Meghan is only doing what Charles did to protect her privacy and normally that would be an issue the BRF would support.

The vindictiveness that Knauf has proceeded with on this issue suggests something as personal for him as for William. Maybe it’s because his friend Toubati got fired, but whatever it is it seems Knauf is doing more than any other royal courtier has ever done. Even the leaks about Diana were to the press but there was no lawsuit where they were helping the media and sandbagging a member of the BRF.

I need Kevin MaGuire and Tom Bradby to reveal the thing that would be considered unforgivable and why the Sussexes actually left. They both implied that if the public found out they would understand why the Sussexes left and be sympathetic.

      • ElleE says:

@Nic1919 There is one thing we need to openly acknowledge on this site: JK fears no
reprisal from Harry and Harry is a blood prince. He never has tried to stay in Harry’s good graces and actively worked briefed against Harry’s new wife and seemingly placed the needs of staff (during the wedding and after) over the needs of the Royal family members (only H&M that we know of).

It is entirely possible that before Meghan became family, JK’s job description included marginalizing and briefing staffers against Harry routinely. Have we seen any indication otherwise? Harry was advised by KP many times not to sue for having his phone tapped and voice mails ( there was medical info accessed this was) even though others in the family had done (he filed a claim in 2019 I think).

Basically, JK is being vilified for performing his job duty of “villain”. Someone hired him for this skill set he is not going rogue here.I think you think the same, correct?

      • Donna B. says:

@Nic919 I believe you are right. Whatever Kevin MaGuire and Tom Bradby knows, needs to come out. If this monarchy wants to continue to exist, it is better that all skeletons come out, and then they can course correct for the future.

      • windyriver says:

@Nic919 – an interesting piece of trivia I’d forgotten until going through old screenshots last night. The lead FOR the DM in that suit of Charles’ was – now Justice Warby. In fact, in his previous life, he was frequently involved on the Mail’s side in big cases. No doubt he’s less than thrilled by this late maneuver of JK and the DM, but at least he shouldn’t be surprised.

As far as JK goes, I agree his actions show a personal grudge against Meghan. Could be, he wasn’t able to manipulate her as he expected – but had made promises elsewhere about what he could do. Hard to imagine Toubati wasn’t some kind of plant, and she was dumped fairly quickly for a serious infraction. Meghan (and Harry) stopped providing information to the palaces that JK could then leak to Wooten. Now we hear he wanted them to meet face to face with Scobie/Durand, but they resisted a personal meeting, and only provided information to correct misinformation already public, nothing new. They also made sure the big bucks from Meghan’s Together cookbook stayed out of the Royal Foundation, of which he was most recently CEO, which has made us here wonder what they know about possible sketchy financial dealings there.

So all in all, I wonder if the simple explanation is that JK is pissed because Meghan put a crimp in some bigger plans he had…

  6. STRIPE says:

What an absolute disgrace this family is. How sad and small they are. H&M are so much better off far far away from them living their best lives. The best revenge is living well, and they certainly are doing just that.

  7. A says:

Imagine this man as king of somewhere.

  8. aquarius64 says:

This is why the Sussexes aren’t coming to Christmas. The judges know this too and if they officially rule the Keenbridges and Jason released irrelevant information to harm Meghan their images outside the UK will really take a hit. Forget that US tour.

    • equality says:

My question is who is paying for that US tour? I see no benefit to the US for taxpayers to foot the bill. And what would be the benefit to the UK for W&K to see NY?

      • JT says:

Having a royal tour here in the US doesn’t even make sense anyway. Heads up, I saw on Twitter that the Express just had a story up that the Keens would be staying at H&M’s for their US tour. 🙄 I’m betting “reconciliation” is going to be a theme in the coming months, especially if Burger King and Fries start feeling the heat.

      • Becks1 says:

There’s no way the Cambridges would stay with H&M for a tour. EVERYTHING else aside (the smear campaign, the racism, William and Kate’s treatment of Meghan, the bullying allegations, this recent mess with MoS – so thats a big EVERYTHING lol) I dont think H&M would let a single KP employee anywhere near their house or their children at this point, and if they are on tour, they would have staff with them.

For a non-working trip, just a fun “lets see california” trip maybe in 5 or 10 years IF* a reconciliation happens? Yes, the Cambs might stay here. but the Sussexes aren’t letting any of their employees, who they know they absolutely cannot trust, near their home or their kids.

*Again that’s a really big IF, and I doubt the Cambridges will ever be invited to Montecito, but I’m just saying if it happens in general, it won’t be for a working trip.

      • Chloe says:

@jt; they’ve tried that angle before just to go back to the “william and kate hate meghan” angle. Remember when the middleton pr was running rampant and all of a sudden we had these stories of kate the great calling meghan and them being on good terms? They switch between those angles all the time.

  9. MY3CENTS says:

So they are publicly backing up a campaign against Meghan all while being a very much not racist family?

  10. Eurydice says:

I had to laugh when I read the article this morning – they tried to make it sound like “William had serious evidence that it was his duty to bring before the court, blah, blah, harrumph, harrumph…” I wonder if William really does understand the implications.

    • Chloe says:

Its very interesting that they are trying to make this a william vs meghan thing. He did something evil to her. Something nobody dares to mention.

      • Nic919 says:

I wasn’t inclined to put any credence to the stories of William putting the moves on Meghan, but the texts are quite meaningless and they are trying to frame Meghan as a liar. So why would Knauf and William want Meghan framed as a liar? Could it be because there may be an incident where her credibility becomes important? And if so, what is that incident?

      • Jaded says:

William was the one who made the comment about Archie’s skin colour, I’m positive. She’s been taking the high road on this one, merely alluding to it with Oprah, but I’m sure it’s only one of many insults she took from him, perhaps including some sort of sexual comment or move on her that back-fired big time. I like that the sword of Damocles is hanging over William’s head and causing all this frantic reputation bashing — what do narcissists do when they’re cornered? They lash out. He’s painted himself into this corner, as has that cockroach Jason, and one of these days, perhaps after the Queen dies, a sh*t-ton of information is going to be released.

      • Greywacke says:

Yet it wasn’t Meghan who had the conversations about Archie’s skin color. They were had with Harry. So it would make sense to make him out to be the liar.

      • notasugarhere says:

Jaded, there was more than one person having those conversations. I’d say both W&K said something.

      • aftershocks says:

^^ According to what M&H said in the Oprah interview, the conversation about possible skin color of M&H’s future offspring was had with Harry before he married Meghan. I believe the conversation was initially between Will/TOB and Harry. And then Will probably enlisted Charles to join the conversation when Harry remained intent on marrying Meghan. The conversation was brought up in the first place in order to convince Harry NOT to marry that ‘mixed-race American divorcee showgirl whose mother is black.’ It’s also possible that Will enlisted Charles to join him in ganging up on Harry in tandem. I’d love to see the chronology of the true events and the chief participants revealed.

@Notasugarhere, I seriously doubt Kate was directly involved in these conversations. Kate and her family are completely jealous of and against Meghan. But it is only William and Charles with the familial connection and stature within the firm who would have the gall and the leverage to discuss such a topic with Harry. I also believe Harry did not inform Meghan of what had been said until after they were married and she became pregnant. That’s when additional conversations were brought up to Harry about his future children likely not being given the expected titles and security protection when Charles inherits the throne.

That’s also apparently when Harry informed Meghan of the initial conversations. He did not want to lose Meghan, and so before they were married, he probably convinced himself to believe things would work out with his family and the firm. Harry certainly had seemed to reassure Meghan (as he declared in the engagement interview), “Our relationship comes first. Whatever we have to face, we’ll face it together.” No one in the firm listened, much less understood the meaning behind those words.

As we know, it was also reported/ gossiped that Will enlisted the help of Earl Spencer (Diana’s brother) to persuade Harry against marrying Meghan. Who knows, Will may have asked Earl Spencer to also employ the ‘skin color of future children’ argument. It seems that Harry is no longer on the best of terms with Earl Spencer, who did not appear in Archie’s christening photos. Diana’s sisters, Sarah and Jane, apparently have a closer relationship with Harry.

I can’t wait to see how or if Harry will explain more about what actually happened surrounding the ‘skin color’ conversations, in his memoir.

  11. equality says:

Interesting that a royal “expert” would say that out loud. Hopefully more “cracks” in the system protecting W&K will come about. I wonder if it will be open season on all of them once QE is gone.

    • L4frimaire says:

These people despise Meghan and gleefully made her life miserable and can’t seem to stop covering her and bitching about it. However, a part of me thinks that they are just disappointed or maybe underwhelmed by the in-residence royals right now. They really expected this golden age and new shining personalities once they got rid of the Sussexes, but all you see is a sour Vinci bunch, still hell-bent on revenge, petty corrupt and still f*cking lazy. Some jerk commentator from GMB was griping that Meghan put a rocket under the royal family and under the show ( with Morgan walking out) to blow it up. They refuse to understand how their own pettiness and malice wrecked the facade. They can all choke on their bile.

    • Nic919 says:

I agree it’s interesting that they are openly connecting the dots on something we have been pointing out here for a while. Knauf has been leaking on H and M for months and they would have known it was him.

  12. Cessily says:

I am praying the court throws this out and upholds the original decision.. then watch out because the Cambridge’s have made themselves fair game to the media especially here.

  13. Polo says:

We all know this but when will some investigative reporters start to dig into this fully is the question. UK media is barely touching this and so far some US media has mentioned it but not much! They way the frame this article against Meghan is also ridiculous.
I do think we’ll see more once Meghan’s case is over and it will eventually blow up in Williams face.
Nothing stays hidden forever and I think there will be enough curious eyes that someone will look into this if they haven’t started already. I could see a documentary coming

    • JT says:

I believe when Meghan wins the case for the second time, the floodgates will open and people will start discussing everything openly. When the front page apology goes up I think everyone will want to get into the nitty gritty of what went down and how everything got this far. Going by Arbiter’s take the BM is just waiting to go there with the Keens, and if the Daily Mail has to pay Meghan millions, they will want blood.

  14. ML says:

I’m not surprised that William and Kate had to approve Jason Knauf giving the emails to the Mail. What does surprise me is that Dick (well-named) Arbiter and Duncan Larcombe have said this out loud and it got printed, because that means that they’re saying that Meghan’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law actively are trying to attack her by helping a flipping tabloid paper! Which, duh, of course they are, however, it comes across differently if “royal experts” say that in print. If Meghan wins (which she should, but she’s publicly going up against her in-laws), that’s going to be interesting.

  15. ThatsNotOkay says:

Glad Arbiter finally said it out loud. Racist FFK Bullyiam asked about Archie’s skin color and wanted H&M’s kids stripped of their titles when Charles ascends, and when Harry called him out oon not only the optics but also the downright racism, Bullyiam hatched this eggheaded, half-incubated scheme to accuse Meghan of demonic, satanic behavior against fragile white button-down Kate and any other fragile white female staff conspirator in order to rile his racist brethren and call them to feeble-minded Twitterfinger arms.

These fools are so transparent and mediocre in every way. Don’t know how you all can stand funding their lifestyles and propping them up as anything other than examples of what not to be and who not to become. This is so grotesque. Time for a French Revolution in Great Britain.

    • Kalana says:

Kate’s insecurity may have egged on William, but I’m glad that it’s been stated that William was the lead aggressor. I have felt like part of the narrative is that Kate is a Lady Macbeth but no, William is racist trash all by himself.

      • Charm says:

Bullyiam does nothing in consideration of kHate. Everything he does is to feed his own ego and sense of entitlement.

      • Harper says:

Kate and CarolE started it. That will be Burger King’s defense. There is NO WAY he will take any of the blame.

      • Nic919 says:

Knauf leaking is permitted by William. Kate is irrelevant to his actions.

That said the crying story is because of her. And Carole and uncle Gary are also through her own machinations.

But yes it will all get tossed on her if William feels exposed.

      • Mrs.Krabapple says:

I don’t believe William feels anything towards Kate other than boredom. And Kate and her family can put out smears against Meghan because William doesn’t care enough about Kate to follow what she does. The only thing that would prompt William to act on behalf of Kate is if it makes HIMSELF look bad, and he fells a need to correct that image.

      • swirlmamad says:

@Mrs.Krabapple, agreed on your last point. William feels no protectiveness over his wife — he’s just looking out for himself. Just like after the Oprah interview aired, and all the stans were like “aww, he’s protecting his wife and going with her to engagements” — uh, uh. He was basically like shut your trap and let ME do the talking…he didn’t and still doesn’t trust her to portray the image he wants. He’s making sure he’s the one who comes out smelling like a rose in the end (yes, I know what I did there).

  16. Plums says:

I thought this blew up in their faces when Meghan’s lawyer demanded the full release of emails and texts that Jason had selectively curated. I guess the BP ignored that though.

    • Pix says:

Oh I have no doubt it will blow up in their faces once all the texts and emails are released. Did you see her on Ellen – that woman was floating on air. Meghan and her lawyers were like… oh yeah, want to f*k around and find out?

  17. MsIam says:

Interesting that this article mentions William AND Kate. Usually they try and keep her name out of it, lol. Well my theory is that the Mail knows they lost this appeal but they’ve been dying to get this info out there somehow, after all can’t let a good smear go to waste, can we? But it backfired because it made Charles and the rest of the family look horrible and confirms why Harry said to Oprah the relationship is “space”.

    • Eating Popcorn says:

The MoS must have some really juicy bits on William & Kate that they are willing to go to these extreme lengths against M&H.

      • Jegede says:

It’s not just on the MOS.

The MOS didn’t make William – sorry William’s ‘friends’ – go to Robert Lacey ,and call Meghan a sociopath, narcissist, and b!tch.😠

The MOS didn’t make William feed Dan Wootton & Piss Moron anti-Meghan screeds from Day 1.🥺

The MOS didn’t make William let it be known that Meghan was never to wear Diana’s jewellery – with help from Angela Kelly😐.

  18. PinkBerry says:

William, Jason, and Kate are the dumbest bunch of people ever, in the world, in history, period.

  19. mariahlee says:

It’s perplexing that outside of social media, W&K have largely managed to go blameless in H&M’s departure. To this day, I hate that Meghan affirmed that K was a good person. That was all she needed to never be held to account as she continues to co-opt elements of Meghan’s being that are most palatable to her white stan base. Both W&K have been unspeakably cruel.

    • ABritGuest says:

Maybe Meghan is type that thinks best of people & thinks Kate is a good person in a bad institution & her moves are because of that? Also Meghan was correcting that Kate made her cry & telling the truth about bad behaviour by women like Kate is often seen as an attack when it’s done by a POC so Meghan saying something positive about her was smart frankly.

This move by Jason knauf was obviously endorsed by his bosses- if it’s true he only sent the info in July then it would be to counter the Oprah interview. The move makes it even more obvious that K&W were the architects of the Meghan smear campaign & why Harry said it’s space with William. It supports that old article that William met editors to ramp up the Thomas Markle articles.

British media including the BBC have generally just been calling Knauf Meghan’s ex aide & not linking that he still works for K&W so I’m surprised the royal commentators have even spelt out their involvement this way.

    • Shelley says:

I think ,”good person,” was a set up by Meghan. If Kate was not part of the smear campaign, she could’ve called Meghan after the Oprah interview and said, “you know I wanted that story corrected but couldn’t say anything.” Kate never did that so if Meghan didn’t know then, she surely knows now that Kate is apart of the smear against her.

    • MF1 says:

I think Meghan said that because she pities Kate. She’s forgiven Kate for being a racist meangirl because she knows what POS Bill is.

      • Amy Bee says:

@MF1: I agree with you. Meghan knows the situation Kate is in. However I think Kate had enough power to get Tatler to delete the part of the article that said that Meghan made her cry and she failed to do it.

      • Becks1 says:

I think Meghan said that for three reasons:

`1) she pities Kate. Meghan sees William for who he is and Meghan is a good enough person that no matter what Kate did to her, she still has pity bc of how awful William is.

        2) Kate was not the lead in the smear campaign and Meghan knows it. She played a role, a big role, but she was not the lead. I think its clear at this point that William was heading it, so back to #1.

        3) Meghan wasn’t there in the Oprah interview to bash Kate. If she had said anything besides “she’s a good person” THAT would have become the focus, the headlines would have been about MEGHAN DESTROYING KATE and Kate would have become the victim, even more so than she already was/is. Meghan made clear the issue wasn’t what had happened at the bridesmaids fitting, it was the fact that the lie was never corrected, and she made clear that she didn’t really expect Kate to do that. Her relationship with Kate was not the focus of the interview and if she hated Kate, she would have still said she was a good person, in that context.

        That’s my take, anyway.

      • Nic919 says:

@becks I agree with your take. Meghan is savvy enough to understand the racial politics in this situation and being critical of kate would have been used as a weapon, despite kate still not saying anything about the crying story being wrong years later.

      • teecee says:

I don’t think she’s forgiven her for being a racist as much as choosing not to dwell on it , because she doesn’t have to interact or deal with Kate much anymore. IMO “she’s a good person” is a cursory comment that all WOC, especially Black women, know that they have to make in order to avoid white tears and the abuse directed at us when the white tears fall. It doesn’t always work.

      • sunny says:

Who knows but i doubt it. Why is always the onus for black/mixed-raced people to forgive racist white people? Jesus- the exhaustion. I said it after the interview and I will say it again- I think she pities Kate because her husband is awful. But she also knows there is no way in hell she could truly call out Kate’s racist behaviour without coming out looking like a villain due to weaponized white woman tears. I think she smartly called Kate a good person so she could tell some of the truth of the crying story without the audience decrying it. And if you think this is an exaggeration, ask any black woman you know how many times we frame messages softly not to upset white women. Whew.

Anyway, as to this story, William is the worst but let’s not forget Carol and Uncle Gary’s fun efforts over the years and Kate’s constant copying of Meghan. What a mess.

      • Bex says:

@MF1 I disagree. I think Meghan said that because she knows people would still vilify her for setting the record straight. It doesn’t excuse what Kate did, nor does it imply Meghan feels sorry for her. If anything, the implication is that Meghan expected her to be better than that since she’s a “good person”.

But the fact SO MANY people latch onto her statement so they can go back to “poor Kate” really is something though. Kate is a menace. Maybe she recognized she was in the wrong, but SOMEONE in Kate’s camp leaked that crying story to Camilla Tominey, and Kate opted to never rectify it.

      • notasugarhere says:

To paraphrase her friend Serena, Meghan is too nice. She said that phrase about Kate because it was the nice thing to say. She also made it clear that Kate lied about the crying incident and tripled down on it over a 23-3 year period.

    • Maria says:

The “She’s a good person” was the equivalent of the Southern “bless your heart”.

Meghan saying that isn’t responsible for Kate not being taken to account. I feel like the only people who even took note of it were people who love Meghan. To anyone who hates her, that remark didn’t even register – they still say she “endangered Kate’s safety” or some nonsense by talking about her.

      • Rose says:

This – I remember pointing it out on a squaddies twitter post the morning after, thinking maybe the message was asking for a ceasefire. I only realised afterwards that there was nothing else Meghan could have said. After the Commonwealth Service and now Knauff’s involvement plausible deniability is dead. I suspect Kate has few choices and that she is likely a victim of this institution and we just don’t know to what extent however everyone has choices. Even if she was forced to go along with everything else she didn’t have to give a filthy look at the CW service. And tbh with that she made her own bed.

  20. Sofia says:

Of course they did. Royal staff (including former ones) do not speak to the media without permission let alone hand confidential communications voluntarily to them (even if it’s for a court case. Jason was NOT asked by the courts to do this. He did this out of his own choice.)

But all of this has just set a bad precedent where current and former staffers can hand communications information to papers with the permission of their bosses – even if there isn’t a court case involved.

  21. Kyliegirl says:

I think Willy has opened a pandora’s box with this regarding NDA’s. So Jason reached out in July. I wonder what was said at the statue unveiling!?! Willy is about to learn all about Karma.

    • ML says:

Good point. Kate wasn’t allowed to be a part of it?

    • Amy Bee says:

@Kyliegirl: Remember the press was hoping for a reconciliation at the statue unveiling. It didn’t happen because Harry refused to play ball. William’s failure to deliver the reconciliation could be the reason why he told Knauf that he could provide evidence to MoS.

      • Kyliegirl says:

The timing is definitely curious. Just shows was amateurs the principals and staff at KP are. Willy doesn’t get ANY coverage for his causes. Only when Kate is with him or they are talking about Diana, Harry or Meghan. He needs to feed the beast.

    • Jegede says:

I think it had more to do with payback over Harry’s memoir also revealed in July, than the statute unveiling.

William’s aim is to discredit Harry & Meghan in every format possible.
      Written or spoken.

  22. Woke says:

I’m genuinely curious why they’re being blatant about it. It feels like they believe they have some kind of upper hand on the situation and they’re getting more bold in their attacks. That’s why when people keep seeing panics in house cambridge or Windsor I’m like where ? That also make me believe they’re playing the public with the Queen’s health I think she’s fine and just had a check up. They’re using that to unofficially introduce a soft regency.

    • Cessily says:

Abusers escalate… is the simplest explanation on why they think there is no consequences for there actions. So far there has not been any consequences so they are emboldened and they think there gaslighting is running the show.. but as with most abusers they get sloppy and feel no one can touch them. Anyone who has left an abuser knows that you are in the most danger at that point. I do not see them ever reconciling, civility at events like the unveiling might even be asking to much after this.

  23. Noki says:

I think William originally wanted to put H & M in ‘their place’ and they would listen and tone down their work and appearances and general hotness. If he has a brain he must surely regret and be ashamed that this has gone as far as it has. And because of this mess the BM have evn more s**t on him and he is truly their b*** now.

  24. Amy Bee says:

It’s blindingly obvious to everyone who’s paying attention that KP is behind the smear campaign against Meghan. A female journalist even said so on one of the UK morning shows this week.

    • JT says:

I think Jeremy Vine was on TV and said Meghan was set up.

    • Lady Digby says:

Squirrels was being shouted all last week to distract from Will’s chief minion cackling about a crisis of conscience which prompted him to come to the aide of MoS. WFT?! It was a blatant hit on Meghan but I knew newspapers weren’t going to publish this angle due to fear of being sued ! So I avoided TV discussion as I naturally assumed that they would not dare touch it too. It is something that certain journalist will even acknowledge authorization from above for Jason’s back stabbing.
Yet today BBC seemed to be bewildered that Meghan on Ellen indicated that neither would be returning to work for RF?!
Are these people thick, why would either want to live amongst that nest of vipers ever again! William and Jason have shown their hands and it is such betrayal. It is betrayal Thomas ongoing stupidity and cruelty piled upon betrayal: Harry’s own brother compounding and adding misery to the original bfamily betrayal. What a mess!

      • Eurydice says:

Not sure where the BBC got the idea that H&M would be returning to work for the RF. I watched the Ellen interview and the RF weren’t mentioned at all. Nothing was said about future plans in the US, either – just that Meghan was going to cook Thanksgiving dinner.

      • Lady Digby says:

Sorry just to clarify BBC this morning discussed the interview and one presenter commented that Meghan being interviewed by Ellen suggested that they would not be returning to work for the RF?! Quite frankly astonished that anyone would imagine that either regretted their decision to live freely in America. Meghan is beautifully glowing and on great form. Why on earth exchange freedom and privacy to get kicked around by Basher and his mates on the tabloids?!

    • notasugarhere says:

KP and a certain party tat company in Berkshire. Kate and Carole are not innocent here.

  25. nancy says:

    evil.

  26. girl_ninja says:

They are both so vile. If only they put in the effort into actually working as they do into bringing Duchess Meghan down they would accomplish something other than botched Botox and yellow teeth.

Sorry for the run on sentence but f**k these to trash heaps.

  27. Rapunzel says:

So the press is connecting the dots…but meanwhile The Fail’s current headline :
“Social media explodes with memes ridiculing Meghan Markle’s ‘awful’ Ellen interview – and viewers say it shows ‘she never understood the difference between royalty and celebrity'”

    Le Sigh.

    • equality says:

Have they seen the Royal Knockout thing that Edward produced?

    • Polo says:

They are always gonna run headlines like that. That isn’t gonna change anytime soon. It’s their bread and butter…and as long as people keep clicking then theyll keep writing.

I didn’t know they even ran those headline until you posted it here. (Not attacking you) but just saying it’s easy to ignore if youre not in the UK. There’s so many other news organizations in the US that posted about Ellen that it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

  28. SexyK says:

The British media OWNS William and Kate. The British media knows all the dirt on the Cambridges and the Cambridges promised to hand Meghan to the media on a platter if they leave them alone. There’s a sense of frustration now cause Meghan’s lawyers are involved and she’s winning her case. Meghan and Harry left at the right time because I believe the royals and the media had sinister plans for them.

  29. Serena says:

Good lord, their pettiness knows no boundaries. He really cannnot stand the fact his brother made himself a family, has a smart beautiful wife, and that they’re happy. Ffs Willy, grow up.

  30. KW says:

Here’s a theory I just came up with: Knauf + Kate = crying white women. This sounds like a plot by the two of those shady bitches. Kate couldn’t stand Meghan from day 1. She’s American? She’s beautiful? She’s smart? She’s motivated? She has Harry’s devotion? Kate five questions to herself about Meghan and went off the wall. And then Meghan and Harry were the super stars of the moment. Everyone has always liked Harry better. This is William’s thorn (because he loves Roses without thorns, lol) anyhow, whispers in the palace of everyone loving Harry more has always been in William’s ear because he was supposed to be the better brother, and has become the Other Brother (lol still with that dumb proud picture of him on the cover with the Other Brother title, gong show). William also needed Harry to deal with his psychotic wife and buffer him, but was also (really gross) attracted to Meghan. And their popularity was the catalyst for William and Charles. Camilla is just a drunk who encourages this shitty behavior (re: Diana, re: The Crown) The plot was between the Cambridges and Knauff and here we are. We are very not a racist family William was trying to save face for the statue unveiling and Kate was benched in July …. when the source ran to the mail. I think it wreaks of Cambridges. I also think Queeny has sent message to Charles to cut the budget for Cambridges to punish them. They are all so passive aggressive but at least they know where it hurts the Cambridges. Pomp and circumstance and all. Like how they were benched at the Commonwealth for their shady releases of Sussex 2019/2020 info to Wootten. Charles is hopeless and can’t relate to his sons. He’s probably used one against the other their entire lives after the passing of Diana. If any reporter can’t connect the dots to all of this, then what the hell is their job? This is gross and I respect Harry and Meghan for being so calm because I would burn it to the ground. Dear William, you are very much a racist, vengeful, egotistical, insecure, ugly and stupid family. The End.

  31. ModeratelyWealthy says:

William is petty and dumb, yes, but he THINKS he is playing a long game. He has put much stock into bringing Meghan down and having Harry divorce her and come back to be his lapdog- and let´s not forget Chaz role in it- only to see Harry standing up and leave.

Not only Harry left, but called his bluff. Harry went to USA, not a commonwealth country; Harry went to Oprah, not leaked something to Scobie.

    William CANNOT go to Oprah.

The only very INTERESTING detail is that William is allowing Kate´s name to be involved and talked about …

William can have it all if he so wants, when Betty dies. He can throw KKKate under the bus, blame this whole Meghan debacle ( Megahn made KKate cry anyone?) on KKKate and then move on…

    • Rapunzel says:

I think Kate did some whipping Will into a frenzy against the Sussexes. She’s competitive and for awhile, the Keens seemed closer as they worked their joint smear campaign. I suspect the main reason their marriage has crumbled so obviously and rapidly since Sussexit is because Will is pissed Kate’s plans backfired. Hence, I think he’s setting her up to be main instigator. And she knows it. She’ll be under the bus soon…and I also suspect this explains her recent attempts at glamor- she knows she’ll be searching for husband 2 soon.

      • Jais says:

I think they were closer during the smear campaign. But I don’t know if I think Kate worked him up into a frenzy about Meghan anymore. I used to but now I wonder if Kate saw how much William was coming to despise Meghan and saw a chance to bond with her husband over their mutual hate. Kate probably saw attention from William in a way she hadn’t for a while. Perhaps, she didn’t think that after Meghan left he would drop his attention again so quickly.

      • Eating Popcorn says:

This is some serious courtly drama we expect in the middle ages, not in the 21st century. Thank goodness W & K only have access to a poison pen and not real posion!

      • notasugarhere says:

The plot to remove Meghan also meant William had to wait to divorce Kate. He resents that.

  32. Lizzie says:

This is just the type of thing to raise it’s head in a few decades when it’s coronation time for Bill. Just as Chuck will forever be doubted because of Cam, so Bill will be doubted when hindsight shows his jealous hand in bullying Meghan and Harry out of the country. Bill and Jason (who is a dead ringer for Don Jr.) can smirk all they like now but hindsight will be 20/20 and they will regret this ongoing hate campaign.

  33. Beloved says:

Bill and Cathy have deep support within the world media but particularly the British media. This is why they are so blatant with their smearing of Meghan. Don’t forget American media buried a report about Andrew and Epstein because they didn’t want to lose access to the Cambridge’s.

  34. rea says:

QE also did a lot of dirty work to other people behind the scenes. What W & K are doing is more public because they lack that instinct QE has to destroy people without the public knowing.

  35. lanne says:

I don’t think Will-di Amin realizes that he is freezing himself out of America with this behavior. If he ever sets foot on US soil, he will be asked about this. Kate will be asked about this. Neither of them has thick skin–they can’t handle tough interview questions. Like all bullies, they are cowards. No matter how many suck-up pieces they get People Magazine to write, they cannot control the US media. The late night talk show hosts and Saturday Night Live will have a field day with them. They are imprisoning themselves on their own little island with their toxicity–they may even be the source of the toxic waste spilling into the UK waterways themselves.

I think Jason Knauf strutted around like a peacock with broken tailfeathers, promising the world to both Cain and Unable and the tabloid rags: “I understand American showgirls. I’ll get Meghan to do XYZ. She won’t do A. She won’t do B. I’ll deliver C and D pronto.” But then of course, none of that happened. I’ll bet lots of folks are mad at him, perhaps even the Burger King himself. Poor Jason might find himself actually working at Burger King when all is said and done. He sure can’t deliver on his promises, and Cain will learn soon enough that the Broke-ass Peacock has cost him America.

    • Beloved says:

A lot of people are People and Hello magazine royal followers. Most people who follow European royals are either historians, fantasists or mentally ill. So the Cambridge reputation is not damaged. As long as the institution pushes Kate forward dripping in jewelry and gowns, use the kids for photo ops and Hollywood continues their deference of glorifying royalty with tv shows and movies, nothing will happen in America.

      • Haylie says:

Kate dripping in stolen jewels isn’t bolstering them here in the US as it stands now. It’s mostly indifference. They aren’t loved are cared about here.

      • Eurydice says:

The history of royals is a history of cheating, back-stabbing, deceit, madness and murder. It’s only recently that there’ve been expectations the royal family should show model behavior – and, even so, they haven’t been able to live up to that. So, I agree about the Cambridge “reputation.” But, nothing has to “happen” in America – America made it happen in 1776. Hollywood might like to base entertainment on royalty, but they don’t glorify it – mostly, they show why it’s a bad thing and why the “common folk” are better.

      • Tessa says:

Kate’s pr is limited to how she wears clothes and her hair and how “thrifty” she is nothing of substance.

      • notasugarhere says:

The Carole-led PR also involves propping Kate up against William, trying to make Kate look like mum of the year in the middle of William’s latest affair, and the backfiring Tattler expose. She isn’t innocent here.

    • RoyalBlue says:

They will bring the children to soften the blow.

    • Nic919 says:

I agree. I would also extend this to North America because Canadians weren’t raised with the BRF as an institution. Sure the queen is on the money, but the Windsors are viewed as celebrities here the same as Americans view them. After all Canada functions as a country without them even physically here and the queen is simply a symbol. Our GG is the one that provides royal assent to legislation.

And Canadians don’t view Meghan’s work ethic as a sin and most don’t care about royals or protocol. Royalists are a tiny number here and they get shut down quickly because with the racist systems first established by the British, there isn’t a lot of nostalgia for the days of stealing land from indigenous people and killing their children in residential schools.

    • aftershocks says:

“… they may even be the source of the toxic waste spilling into the UK waterways themselves… Poor Jason might find himself actually working at Burger King when all is said and done. He sure can’t deliver on his promises…”

^^^ +1 @Lanne, well-stated and lol humorous to boot. Tee hee! At the end of the day, laughter is the best medicine. And karma needs to clean up on all the lame-a’hole Windsors, grey men, and rota rats on Salty Isle!

It will go down in history the opportunity the royal firm threw away to reinvent themselves by truly accepting Meghan, understanding her genuine good intentions and respecting the power of M&H’s love and charisma. Instead, set in their wicked ways, the firm chose jealousy, hate, and cruel exploitation for profit, in cahoots with the British tabloids. And they failed to keep the raging, petty, insecure ‘other brother’ and heir in check and reined against his own malfeasance.

TOB needs reining in, and not reigning over a country as a symbolic head-of-state. Although the state of Will’s personality surely suits the stale, lackluster, and ratty former British empire.

  36. Mslove says:

William is a fool. He will forever be known for his cruel and atrocious behavior towards Harry and Meghan.

    • Kfg says:

They’re all so disgusting. This is going to blow them up. And the CBouzy report comes out at 2pm and I bet the money links those trolls to Jason Knauf. They’re going down.

  37. Matthew says:

good luck on that tour of the USA William and Kate

  38. Over it says:

I am just going to say that the high place source is no one other than William. He is absolutely 💯 the one that call up the mail on Sunday and told them that his little bitch Jason has emails to share. I hope william, Kate and Jason all rot together in hell.

    • Nic919 says:

The source who revealed that Knauf changed his mind is Wootton. They are friends from uni and he has been fed leaks from Knauf from the beginning. I don’t see William directly interacting with media in this way. Not when Knauf has been the middleman for everything else.

The original article mangles the timeline about the identity of the high placed source for the original affidavit but that’s a reference to Knauf, who at the time wasn’t confirmed as the person behind the leaks, despite many of us making the link here.

  39. Over it says:

How jealous and hateful must you be to set out to destroy your brother happiness. Harry found Meghan, he found his person and because william and Kate are so unhappy with themselves and each other, they couldn’t stand to see him happy, so they raged a hateful racist smear campaign against Meghan. Do they not care how this hate is also hateful to Harry? Because my attacking Meghan, you also attack Harry, Archie and Lili. What is it about being black or a person of color that’s so triggering for the racist hating section of white folks? Why does it so hard for these people to let us just be happy? Harry is not a palace relic, he is a human. His own man, free to love and be loved by whoever he choose. Why is this so hard for these people to understand? This might not come back to bite william or Kate, but it will to their children because evil deeds come back to you and yours 10 times worst .
I wish I could believe there Meghan would win the case but the government, the monarchy and the justice system are all in bed together so I will be shocked if they rule in her favor.
I am just happy she has peace in her life away from that family and that media and the racist section of that country

    • Kfg says:

They don’t like to see black women happy because how dare we be something they’re not. How dare their superior mediocrity be upstaged by an interiors greatness! BW are supposed to be the workhorses without praise who should bow and scrape for approval and be less. It’s bs and it’s why they’re so mad.

  40. Kerfuffles says:

I am firmly on Team Meghan and Team Harry. But I do think those texts that made it obvious that Meghan and Harry were lying about their involvement with Finding Freedom look pretty bad. I mean, it’s not THAT big a deal but it’s always awkward when someone gets busted lying, which they were. But the irony is, because the British media constantly attack them about EVERYTHING, 99.999% of it which is not valid, the actually valid point that “well, they lied about Finding Freedom” is completely drowned out and diluted.

But anyway…OF COURSE William has approved all of this bs with their former employee guy. I’m not so sure Kate has as much as I think she just goes along with whatever William decides to do because that’s what she thinks her role is. Which doesn’t make her much better than William in that regard. I’m so glad Harry and Meghan escaped this toxic vipers nest. I don’t see how William and Harry ever get past all of this. Which is tragic but William has made his choices.

    • L4frimaire says:

@Kerfuffle, I strongly disagree. Kristen Meinzer on Twitter had a good take on this, as did LaineyGossip in her column. Meghan did not want to talk with Scobie and Durand about the book, and even wanted to send out a blanket email to their friends not to talk to them. However, Knauf, in his job as the communications person, who deals with the press everyday on behalf of the Sussexes, submitted questions for them to fact check. I don’t see that as collaborating, especially since that was his job. They got the most press inquiries of any of the royals, an overwhelming amount, and they were constantly trying to respond to and counter the press inaccuracies printed about them, which Knauf in his job, didn’t really seem to doing much of, as it wasn’t in the palaces interest to correct it. Maybe they didn’t remember because as Meghan said, she saw this as part of Knauf’s day to day job , maybe they said, fine, this is correct , this isn’t, and answered written questions. That is not the same as sitting down with the authors, it is not them collaborating, it is not them lying, and it is definitely not them forfeiting their right to privacy. I think your take on this is wrong.

      • Lizzie says:

You have it correct in my view. NO need to call them Harry and Meghan liars – they asked Knauf to do his job. There are some big liars in KP however and those chickens will come home to roost when Meghan’s lawyer lays out who was behind the trumped up bullying charges.

Sorry, imho I disagree with you. It makes silly willy and mean girl waity look pathetic, and proves meghans complaints of how she was treated in the cesspool of livies. It shows how it they will go to ATTEMPT to destroy a decent woman.
I believe they will fell in this diabolical plan, face the consequences of their bs.

    • Amy Bee says:

@Kerfuffles: No, they weren’t lying. If they did collaborate on the book they would have admitted to that. KP had no problem with the book and wanted Harry and Meghan to sit down with authors, they refused. They wanted to tell their friends that not cooperate they were told not to do that. Knauf is the one who met with Omid and Carolyn and who was trying to persuade Harry and Meghan to collaborate. He told them that he was going to talk to the authors as it was part of his job. The information which he requested was just a repeat of what he already knew when Meghan started dating Harry but he wanted to make it look like Meghan was cooperating. Don’t fall for the tabloid narrative.

    • Lady Digby says:

I bet JK enjoyed pretending to look after his couple whilst gathering anything of interest to share with Big Brother and the tabs. What a snake in the grass and yet the greasy haired creep has the gall to present this betrayal as a crisis of conscience- conscience?! Well they have to present it as a change of stance but really he was the confidential source who met editor of MoS face to face in early 2019. Jason the knife should be his name!

    • Beach Dreams says:

Oh my god, they weren’t “lying” about their so-called “involvement” with FF because they truly didn’t have any beyond a few talking points about Meghan’s past that Jason pushed her to give to him to pass on. Info that she already had to give him several times since her relationship with Harry went public. Finding Freedom’s title alone wasn’t even a thing at that point and was poised to be a typical royal biography, just like the other 10 biographies that were being written at the same time. Way to fall for British media propaganda.

    • ABritGuest says:

What their spokesperson said to the Times last year when finding freedom came out was that they weren’t interviewed by the authors of finding freedom & that they were relaxed about people they knew speaking to them. Which the messages suggest is true- they didn’t sit down with the authors & their staff & some friends spoke to the authors.

Meghan already set out in a witness statement last year that she had allowed an associate to speak to the authors to confirm she had tried to contact her father to stop any further misinformation. She said she didn’t mention the letter or give it to the authors as the Fail claimed. this associate she mentioned in her witness statement was probably Jason Knauf during this briefing for FF. So a lot of what Jason released isn’t totally new information.

The main thing that came out of this to me was the coordination the palace did so the book wouldn’t be hostile, how much Meghan trusted Jason, deferred to his advice& was very polite to him, that Jason didn’t believe Thomas Markle had a heart attack, that she didn’t even want other trusted staff see the letter & how she went to lengths to keep it private but wanted to avoid embarrassing the royal family if it did get leaked.

Harry gave Jason briefing of topics he wanted covered in the book if the palace was permitting access but (and I haven’t read it but going by articles I saw) doesn’t sound like it really went there eg the press puppeteering of Thomas Markle. Even the tiara story described in Meghan’s briefing note was already in the public domain through their wedding exhibit. And also no doubt they were giving Jason briefings for royal reporters like Omid, Carolyn etc with corrections of tabloid stories daily so I doubt Harry’s message was particularly unique.

    • Nic919 says:

They didn’t lie about FF and if you read the texts, it is Jason who tells them that they should meet with Omid and Durand when at first Meghan didn’t want to interact with them at all. Meghan eventually agrees to have Knauf meet with them to correct some of the questions asked, which is what any press secretary does and would have done for a ton of media requests. That is not collaborating in the usual sense and it is exactly what every other member of the BRF has done for all their biographies. And most importantly the texts confirm that Meghan and Harry didn’t ghost write the book as so many tried to suggest. The tiara story was never properly corrected by Jason either and so if they had collaborated the book wouldn’t have said that part wrong. Jason basically meet with Omid and Carolyn and told them stuff that covered for the Cambridges. I’m sure Omid isn’t happy at what happened because most biographers tend to assume the press secretary will at least provide accurate information if not all the details.

I don’t think Kate is just an onlooker. she plays the Mean Girl and glared at Harry and Meghan. She also ignored Meghan and Archie when she was a few feet away on a polo field. She is not innocent and I think she missed being the center of attention when Meghan married Harry. From what I read of her (even before she got engaged) she seemed rather calculating. One story had her (then just friends with william) rushing across the room and claimed she was William’s girlfriend (she was not then) to see off a young woman coming on to William.

  41. L4frimaire says:

Part of me thinks this was leaked because certain people were pissed about all the headlines and, except for the UK, positive and happy buzz about Meghan’s Ellen appearance. They just wanted to get something negative out there. You watch, every time the Sussexes get news and buzz, the fossils in the UK drag up this stuff to smear them. They don’t care if some of that mud splashes back on them.

  42. Jay says:

I’m surprised that they are just straight up admitting that Knauf had to have approval – I thought William and Kate might want to create some plausible deniability, but maybe they can’t. After all, Jason still heads their foundation and appears with them at events! They’re not even trying to hide their approval and involvement.

I wonder if Arbiter was trying to emphasize Knauf’s loyalty to the Cambridges, like, he would never go rogue, he loves William, and accidentally went too far, admitting that Knauf would need his employer’s approval to leak Meghan’s texts. Whoops! Or he just genuinely doesn’t think it’s a problem for Meghan’s in-laws to feed info to the other side in her court case?

We know the British media seem to be on constant alert for Meghan to mention the royals, but the truth is, they are the ones still obsessing over her. She’s gone, y’all. Move on.

    • Christine says:

It’s just common sense, really, an A + B = C scenario, if ever there was one. Jason Knauf is still employed by Wills and Kate, still cashing paychecks. There is no way that would be the case if he didn’t have their approval.

  43. TabithaD says:

A few months back, one of the royal commentators (possibly Lacey?) said that “history will show” that W+K used “sharp elbow tactics” in getting rid of M+H. Interesting wording – it means the the press, or some of them, definitely know what happened, and that some day (maybe when TQ is gone?) it will all come out.

  44. kelleybelle says:

Arrogant, ugly, racist bastard. Not king material, never was.

  45. MaryContrary says:

It will be interesting to see once the Queen passes away if Harry’s gloves really come off against the BRF. William is incredibly short sighted.

  46. Connie says:

This is out of control. Reading the comment something just popped on my head. Did William come on to Meghan? And does William compare kate to Meghan. The Rose thing is too damn minute men cheat. It’s something else. William is stupid. They need to cancel the US tour. We’re sick of these fools.

  47. Von Barron says:

@nick G for example I dates casually (hot undergrads at that), I admitted to stuff that I did, I told unflattering or embarrassing stories and they all would feign shock or disdain or talk shit. Meanwhile I’d see Nadia sneaking out of two different guys rooms while she had a boyfriend of 6 years at home In London. That kind of thing. Just absolutely full of shit and judgmental yet 1000000 times more trashy and tasteless on the DL than I could ever dream up.

    • Slippers4life says:

I feel so validated reading your comments. I dated a British aristocratic guy in university in Canada. He had come over for school. He was fine enough among my “folk”, but when we traveled to England to meet his family, good LORD! Now, I will say, he had some lovely kind friends and there are a few I’ve met who have good intentions, but every single one, from the kinds ones to the racist horrors, seemed to hold to this belief, that they are almost like a magical different species of human blessed by God, and others, who are not from the aristocracy were not and must accept their lot in life because it’s how God intended and if you succeed and you aren’t from the aristocracy than you’re doing something immoral. They can behave in hypocritical ways because they believe they are a higher life form. It felt cultish!

  48. Tessa says:

Kate seems to go in for teeth clenching like William does in those photos.

  49. The Recluse says:

Yep, it’ll be a miracle if the monarchy survives long after Charles takes over and if it does, Wills will burn it all down out of vindictive incompetence.

    • notasugarhere says:

The natural evolution will be everyone but the UK dumping the Windsor monarch. That would happen anyway, it isn’t related to Charles. It is related to a colonial institution having lived too long. When Scotland declares independence, Charles will be left king of England, Wales, Cornwall.

  50. LaraW" says:

I am trying to imagine what the BM could have on William that is so earth shattering and terrible. On the one hand, I think it could be a series of damning things that are somehow so much worse than our wildest imagination – like how we never contemplated that Meghan had been suicidal during her pregnancy. On the other hand, I’m tempted to think it’s all stuff that’s been an open secret for years, but confirmed in a thousand stories of really off-putting, disgusting stories that show how deep the rot in his character goes. Kind of like how none of us were super shocked by the goings on at Charles’ foundation because that’s the way the royal cookie crumbles. I suppose it could be the best of both worlds.

What if William has recently begun to follow in the footsteps of his dearly beloved uncle? It seems disgustingly normalized in aristocratic circles.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

I have no problem going down the ‘what if’ road with William. It seems an obvious fact, that Harry was used in the British Media to hide William’s stories. The Whatifisms regarding Will could be quite long. What if, when William participated in the water polo tournament? in 2004, he and his team mates hit up a Cardiff brothel and he became friendly with the madame of said brothel? If you don’t want to lose your lunch, don’t look up photos – William is in a speedo. I took the hit. He and Kate were broken up summer of 2004. Headlines were pairing him up with a number of people. What if none of those stories were true and the BM was just trying to cover up something else? William might very well be King Joffrey with rage proclivities.

What if William was really in the vicinity of the Kensington Pond Gardens where 2 unsolved deaths of two women occured. The first in January 2010, but, different BM/media have put out different time tables and years. It’s very odd. The Kensington Gardens are supposed to be patrolled and no one saw anything for hours-thanks to Lady D or Lady Digby for pointing this out previously.

What if William going to Chile? or wherever it was, for his gap year, wasn’t true? What if he went to rehab? He hungout with aristos doing coke and there were stories about Charles wanting William to distance himself from those friends. Guy Pelly was one. Seeking help for an addiction isn’t a problem unless you are the future future king.

Katie Nicholl’s article Wills and the Real Girl touched on a lot of topics. Rumors of Will and a friend licking ice cream off a girl at Club H. St. Andrew’s doing anything they could to keep Will as a student. Will being interested in girls that aren’t Kate for years. The list goes on.

Harry married the woman he wanted & loved. Will didn’t have that choice because he was rejected by the high profile or aristos he yearned for. Waity Katie was his comfort zone.

Anyone saying Jason Knauf was/is just doing his job is wrong. If Jason had any integrity or intelligence, he would not have participated in the smear campaign. No one of integrity would have allowed the nasty headlines about Meghan.

  51. PrincessK says:

Well a BBC documentary is coming out tomorrow which the royals are trying to stop. It is all about the press briefing battles between Harry and William…..very interesting. Some journalists know the truth.

  52. alane says:

Meghan is just the type of woman William would despise. If I were her I might enjoy igniting his ire every now and then. He’s like a frustrated bully. Weak.
