Britian’s unreliable Sun is reporting that Victoria Beckham has nixed the idea of her family converting to the Scientology cult at Tom Cruise’s urging. They say that her husband, footballer David Beckham, is more impressionable and has been considering it after having some heart-to-heart conversations with the pint-sized actor, but that Victoria isn’t about to waste her money on anything other than fashion:

TOM CRUISE is trying to recruit the Beckhams to the Scientology cult — but Victoria has told him: “Hands off our cash”.

The Hollywood superstar is obsessed with the wacky religion and believes David would benefit from joining.

But Victoria, 32, has ruled it out — partly because members have to make large, regular cash donations. Last week David admitted he spent “hours” on the phone to Tom, 44, before quitting Real Madrid for LA Galaxy.

There’s another report that David Beckham was so distraught over leaving Madrid for LA-based soccer team Galaxy that he needed ice packs to bring down the puffiness of his eyes from constant crying. He is now said to be content with his decision and excited about the move.

Victoria has gushed that she loves the fashion in Hollywood and that she’s excited to hobnob with the stars.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are throwing a big welcome party for the Beckhams this summer. Guests are said to include Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Lopez.

David is still in Madrid playing out his contract with Real Madrid, and will join his family in the states to play for LA Galaxy starting this summer.

Posh and Becks have enrolled their oldest child, Brooklyn, seven, in the Brentwood private day school in Bel-Air, where he will start school in August.

I just published a story about Victoria Beckham claiming that she maintains her figure with Japanese food, and found these pictures of her leaving Japanese restaurant Zuma last night with her husband David. The Sun jokes that they look like the help in these outfits:

I only ask because of these photos which show Posh dressed like a French Maid and David looking very similar to a chauffeur.

Last week I tried to guess what the Real Madrid ace could have bought Victoria for Christmas that left her looking so, well, swell.

And, from these snaps, she must have been bursting to tell dinner pals GORDON and TANA RAMSAY all about David’s generous presents.

The foursome enjoyed a three-hour meal at top Japanese restaurant Zuma before leaving after midnight for a spot of clubbing at Fifty in St James’s, London.

David is also wearing a very skinny tie, so maybe we can expect that trend from the 80s to come back too. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Posh’s nipples and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

As I sit and stuff my face this holiday season and then try to work it off half-assed on the treadmill, Victoria Beckham reminds us that it’s easier to stay thin if you don’t eat that junk at all. Her friends say she doesn’t exercise and she recently told People magazine that she owes her tiny figure to eating Japanese food and maintaining a strict diet. Damn, I was hoping she at least worked her ass off for it. It’s just as hard not to pop that chocolate in your mouth, though. It’s sitting all around the house at Christmastime and is so hard to resist.

“I eat really healthy, I love Japanese food, lots of fish, any sort of fish, any sort of vegetable, lots of fruit, that kind of thing,” said Beckham, the former Posh Spice, during an appearance recently on the BBC Radio program “Gordon Ramsay’s Perfect Christmas Lunch.”

Of the speculation in the British press about her having an eating disorder, she said, “I don’t really care all that much. We live in Spain. I don’t really see a lot of the press, and I don’t really hear what’s going on. I’m just past caring.”

Still, she says, “I think there’s a big difference between someone having an eating disorder and someone who is controlled about what they eat. There’s a big difference, and every now and then of course I go out and eat what I like. But I do try to be quite disciplined in the way that I eat…”

Beckham, who also said there wouldn’t be a Spice Girls reunion, has faced questions about her appearance in the past couple of years. But friends have told PEOPLE she “eats healthily” – yet, “she doesn’t exercise at all.”

“She eats more than what people would think,” a friend insists.

Posh also said that she wasn’t too concerned about super thin models, who she called “naturally thin,” and thought the young age of some models is more of a concern.

I read a book a while ago called “The Okinawa Diet” that credits longevity in Japanese people living on the island of Okinawa to eating a diet of fish and rice, and stopping eating when they’re 80% full. There are more people aged 100 and up on the island of Okinawa than anywhere else in the world, and science has shown that calorie restriction without starvation is tied to a long life in mammals.

I guess what I’m saying is that Victoria Beckham is crazy thin and that doesn’t seem healthy to me, but at least she’s eating right and is taking care of herself. If she keeps it up without starving too much she’s likely to live longer than the rest of us too.

Victoria recently joked that she can’t be in the fake Scientology movie because she can’t act and wouldn’t wear the costumes for the part. They’d probably be too big for her anyway.

It turns out that rumor that the head of Scientology accompanied Tom and Katie on their honeymoon in the Maldives was untrue, because the Scientologists denied it and we should just take them at their word. Now there’s news that Tom and Katie are going to follow up their second wedding party with yet another honeymoon. Their first honeymoon on a tugboat yacht was cut short due to bad weather. This time they’re said to be going alone to Tahiti and leaving little Suri at home.

Tom & Katie are indeed planning a second honeymoon for the two of them only … Suri will stay with the family in the US as they head to a romantic & exotic location.
Rumor has it that the couple have booked a holiday in Tahiti, at the $15000 a night Le Taha’a Private Island and Spa.
Hmm … This will definitely be a real honeymoon!

I’m not sure this is true, because they were initially said to be going to Tahiti on their honeymoon, and only a few sources are reporting that they’re planning a second honeymoon there. They were in Tahiti back in February when Katie was pregnant.

Their stateside wedding party will take place this Saturday at the malibu estate of Tom’s business partner. A group of Japanese film-makers were in for a rude awakening when they thought they could breach security at the Beckham’s Spanish estate. They were sneaking around trying to make a documentary about homes of the rich and famous when an eagle-eyed security guard confronted them with a gun. Victoria and her one year old son, Cruz, were home, but the couple’s other two children were at school and David was off training. It turned into this huge drama, and the suspicious filmmakers were carted off to the police station:

A BODYGUARD to the Beckhams pulled a GUN on three intruders in a kidnap scare at the couple’s Spanish home, the News of the World can reveal.

The armed minder dramatically confronted them seconds after they slipped through a metal gate and headed towards the £5million mansion where Posh, 32, and one-year-old son Cruz were inside.

The burly guard—who spotted the three on CCTV at a security post —sprinted across the grounds into their path, pointed his pistol at them and screamed: “Stop! Stop! Don’t move! I have a gun.”

The shocked men put up their hands and blurted out that they were Japanese journalists filming a documentary about houses of the rich and famous.

But the guard kept his weapon pointed at them, shouting: “Give me the camera! Give me the camera!” He only lowered the pistol when one of the intruders carrying a digital camcorder gingerly handed it over.

Six armed cops in marked police cars then screeched up to the house after a call from the Beckhams’ security team and took the men away.

Former England captain Becks, 31, was at Real Madrid’s training ground when the 11am drama unfolded on Tuesday. Elder sons Brooklyn, seven, and Romeo, four, were at school.

The men were only released when police were convinced their story was true. A source close to the couple said: “The guard had no idea if these men were kidnappers, robbers or crazed stalkers planning to attack Victoria.

Supposedly there was a 2002 plot to kidnap Victoria so the bodyguard was not overreating. Well, at least no one got hurt.

Victoria and David Beckham’s middle son, five year-old Romeo, suffers from the seizure disorder epilepsy, which can be triggered by the constant flash of the paparrazi’s cameras that follow the couple:

The lad, who turned four just five weeks ago, has been warned to avoid flashing lights known to cause potentially-fatal seizures.

The frightened youngster reacted violently after being photographed at Heathrow last Saturday as he returned to Britain from Madrid with Posh and brothers Brooklyn, seven, and Cruz, one.

Initially he shielded his eyes against the flashes as his mother pushed him through the terminal building in his buggy and out to a waiting car.

He then started screaming in terror and lashing out with his legs as one photographer pressed his camera inside the car and started flashing.

Only then did horrified Posh, 32, reveal the truth about brave Romeo’s dangerous condition.

She pulled her blond-headed son to her, shielded him from the lights and yelled: “Leave him alone.

“He’s got epilepsy. All that flashing will start an epileptic fit. You can’t do that!”

Kevin Smith — owner of Splash news, the agency that took the shot —said: “No picture is worth putting a child’s life in danger.

“Now that we know Romeo has epilepsy I will not be authorising any of my photographers to take flash pictures of him. I think this is absolutely the right thing to do and I hope other agencies follow suit.”

The frightening incident came soon after specialists told the couple that Romeo’s condition was more serious than first feared and that he had epilepsy.

Romeo has endured a series of frightening fits and has been rushed to hospital four times in three years.

Intially it was thought his attacks were simply febrile convulsions, common in young children running a high temperature.

But when the fits continued with no clear explanation he was tested for epilepsy, which has now been confirmed.

A close friend of Posh and Real Madrid star Becks said: “They have told friends the situation. While it’s heartbreaking, he is being brave.

“They are devastated — worried sick about Romeo. He is on medication to control the seizures but obviously things like flashing lights can trigger one at any time.

My son needs dental surgery as something happened when I was pregnant, it’s unknown exactly what, and the top four tooth buds did not calcify properly. He needs to get those four teeth taken out and maybe a bridge put in. That is why I had to take some time off last week to consult with dentists.

Anyway this is the only thing wrong with my two year-old son as far as we know and I keep telling my husband to be grateful that he has excellent health and is so smart and happy. I can’t imagine dealing with a chronic health problem with my child and my heart goes out to Victoria and David. They may be richer than most of the planet, but they still have to deal with heartbreak. Hopefully Romeo’s seizures are under control and now that the word is out his health won’t be jeopardized by flashes going off in the future.

David Beckham says that he makes sure his very thin wife, Victoria, gets nurishment. Her emaciated figure has many people speculating that she’s anorexic:

It was rumored last month that David had Victoria on a “pregnancy diet” meant to help her conceive. The famous British couple has said that they would like to add a girl to their family of three boys, but that they won’t be trying until next year.

David also said that he was behind Victoria’s decision to remove her hair extensions and sport a new bob hair do. He said that he didn’t like feeling the snarled extensions when he ran his fingers through her hair:

That’s really sweet. David seems to have been on to something, because the bob is the newest rage in celebrity hairstyles. Jessica Simpson, Kate Bosworth, and Madonna all recently changed their hairstyles to bobs.

Victoria and David Beckham spoke to London’s Mirror while promoting their new fragrance line in Italy. Victoria was quite upfront in the interview and I have a lot more respect for her after reading it. She seems like a person who struggles with her self esteem, but it sounds like she’s finding her place in the world and is getting stronger every day.

While she hasn’t met Suri yet, Victoria said she speaks to Tom Cruise on the phone often and said that he’s not strange like people say, and is “just a genuinely lovely caring person.” She called Katie Holmes “one of the most down-to-earth celebrities I’ve ever met,” and said she’s really good for Tom.

She revealed that David was upset at being dropped by England’s national team, and that he wears his heart on his sleeve. She asked if he wasn’t “one of the top 23 footballers in the country.”

David spoke of his pride in his boys’ interest and skill at football at such a young age. When asked about his favorite smells, a reference to their new perfume line, he said:

That’s so sweet! These two may preen a lot, but there’s something vulnerable and endearing about them.

David Beckham has said that his wife Victoria is indeed pregnant, as all the tabs have speculated:

In mid-August, Britain’s Daily Star said that Victoria was pregnant , but they may have been speculating. Victoria and David were open about trying for another child, and they are said to want a girl. They have three boys, Brooklyn, 6, Romeo, nearly 4, and Cruz, one and a half, all born by cesarean section. Victoria has said that if she has a girl she would like to name her “Luna.”

Update People Magazine is reporting that Beckham didn’t understand the question, and merely said “Si” when asked. Their rep says Posh isn’t pregnant:

British reality TV star Emma Ryan claims David Beckham cheated on Posh with her in 1998, back when the famous couple was engaged. Beckham acknowledges that he met the woman, but says that he didn’t cheat with her. She now claims they had an affair:

Emma just arrived on “Love Island” with her equally slutty twin, Eve, so she’s undoubtedly trying to get press coverage with this latest stunt.

It might be true that Beckham cheated with her, but it was 8 years ago, so who really cares? In the spring of 2004 it came out that he cheated with assistant Rebecca Loos, so that’s much bigger news since it happened while Posh and Becks were married.

This chick is just trying to get publicity for her gig on that British reality show, and it’s working well for her since the papers are carrying this boring old story.
