Jersey Shore’s Ronnie punches The Situation, is there an MTV coverup?

It’s conspiracy time! While many of us (myself included) try in vain to avoid the “Jersey Shore” degenerates, we’re also begrudgingly aware of the fact that they’ll each make $100,000 per episode to make nuisances of themselves in Italy where the cast is currently filming the fourth season of the End of Western Civilization as We Know It. However, exactly what sorts of escapades shall Snooki & Pals™ perform to amuse their audience now that the Italian government has revoked their permits to film at historic spots? Well, they’ll go to clubs as per the usual routine, and they’ll beat each other up, but MTV might not want you to know that last part just yet. According to rumors, Mike Sorrentino (a.k.a. “The Situation”) has already gotten punched out by Ronnie Ortiz-Magro (a.k.a. “Ronnie”), but E! thinks that there’s an MTV coverup of this alleged incident:

In response to a report that roommates Ronnie Ortiz-Magro kicked Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s butt in a not-so-friendly brawl between Jersey Shore roommates, the network will only acknowledge that the Sitch needed medical attention last night in Italy.

Judging by the state of his face today, that part isn’t hard to believe.

“Monday evening, Mike received medical attention after an accidental injury in the house,” MTV said in a statement to E! News. “He was treated and is now at home with the rest of the cast.”

Including Ronnie, who, in case you hadn’t noticed over the course of three seasons, has a bit of a temper.

While Mike was sporting a shiner, TMZ snapped photos of Ronnie’s knicked-up knuckles. Coincedence? [sp]

If MTV’s cameras have been following the Jersey Shore kids as diligently as they have the Teen Mom action, perhaps we’ll have our answer when season four premieres.

[From E! Online]

See, with that last line, we pretty much know that this really happened, and in contrast to all of the show’s other fistfights, MTV thinks that a tease like this will probably cause more people to tune into the season four premiere because, let’s face it, everyone thinks that The Situation could stand to get his ass kicked. Still, I don’t see why MTV would cover this up unless they’re just trying to drum up more publicity because, in a previous episode, JWoww already punched The Situation, and it was no big deal at all. It seems that the whole “publicity” angle is exactly what MTV is going for, since the network sent Ronnie out to some clubs with his hand all bandaged up:

Meanwhile, The Situation was snapped looking particularly mournful (and pretty banged up) outside the cast house:

Finally, here is Ronnie with some nasty abrasions on his “punching” hand. Either MTV has sprung for some outstanding makeup FX in the upcoming season, or Ronnie’s fist really got some action. Either way, millions of prospective viewers will probably tune into the premiere just to find out. Nice work, MTV.

It is publicity, but a fight probably did happen. My friends watch and these 2 apparently go from friends to enemies all the time.

  2. hairball says:

I try not to get upset about these gross morons and Mtv’s shameful reality shows, but honestly, sometimes, it’s just too much.

To think these clowns get so much money for being gross. What a slap in the face to educated people who make a difference in the world.

  3. candy says:

The Situation had it coming. Ronnie needs to take an anger management class. He fights way too much.

  4. dread pirate cuervo says:

Roid rage. These people are disgusting. No class. No dignity. No shame.

  5. jamminatorr says:

Ronnie is an angry ‘roid freak. He is mean and violent. Not surprised. You couldn’t pay me enough money to stay in that house with those freaks.

  6. Quest says:

Like that is really news. At the end of the day everyone either had sex with each other or had a punching match, argument, you name it.

It’s one big happy family, they like to share EVERYTHING….ewww.

  7. SillyOne says:

I can honestly say I have never watched an episode or even stopped on MTV to view anything they have showing in years.

  8. MeriJaan says:

They are a disgrace to the Italian community.

  9. the original bellaluna says:

Roid rage is such an ugly thing…I’d really actually like to see Ronnie get his ass kicked. Then I might actually tune in. Otherwise, these are the most nasty, VD-syphi-AIDS infested individuals I’ve seen in a long long time.

@ MeriJaan – They are a disgrace to humanity.

  10. rissa says:

did those two mean to dress the same… (top pic)

  11. Me says:

How are these kids a disgrace to humanity? My 17 year old cousin who lives with us? Yeah now thats a god damned disgrace. These kids are just average people all of whom seem good natured at heart… just so happens they have their lives on tv and that can be made to look like anything. Im way more disgusted by the average person on the street than anyone from Jersey Shore. I think those who hate on them just like to make it seem as though theyre progressive and too intelligent to watch tv like this. Give me a break. You write a celebrity column… I know you aren’t sitting around reading rocket science textbooks and taking breaks inbetween to catch up on your Shakespeare.

  12. Slim Charles says:

    Never watched it, never will.

  13. Berman says:

The markings on The Situation face doesn’t look real….it may be all hype by MTV for this show which should have departed after season 3. Its a train wreck…and they get paid $100K per episode. Crazy ! I’m in the wrong business. Just saying..

  14. bluhare says:

Actually, some of us do read rocket science textbooks. At least this “some of us” does.

  15. the original bellaluna says:

@ Me – For starters, the way they conduct themselves. Let’s also not forget their slave-like devotion to their vanity (GTL, anyone?). And their falling-down-drunkness on just about every episode (so I’ve read). AND all that nasty jizz-soup spa sex. Sad, sad examples of the human species. (But maybe you’re right: maybe MTV is the REAL disgrace to humanity.)

My oldest child will be 21 in a couple months: if he conducted himself this way, I would be ashamed of him. Thank the gods I raised a decent human being.

(And I am, in fact, reading my Complete Illustrated Works of Shakespear at this particular moment, along with 3 other books I’m reading. I’m a multi-faceted, well-rounded, well-educated individual. Unlike these tools.)

    @ bluhare – 😀

  16. Roma says:

I think it started out as roid rage but now a couple of the guys are into coke.

    It’s a bad combo.

  17. mia girl says:

Honestly, it is the creators and producers of this crap that need to be punched in the face.

  18. TQB says:

Look, I loved the first season and a half of these guys. They were gross and stupid but a couple of them were genuinely endearing. The problem is that now that they’re all famous and rich it just isn’t any fun anymore, and they tend to act like entitled a$$holes. Ronnie has serious issues – roids, coke or just plain anger – I don’t care, the first time he got violent with Sammi MTV should have canned him.

He’s just one part of why the show just is not funny anymore. I used to like the rest of them but now I wish they would all just go away.

And MTV is disgusting. Seriously. I find them far more reprehensible than the participants on any of their shows.

  19. klimp says:

what a terrible case of short man syndrome

  20. Amanda G says:

The Sitch is all talk. He’s definitely not a fighter. He does deserve a good punch in the face from time to time, but Ronnie is a violent, dangerous drug addict IMO. I can’t believe he’s still on the show after his behavior last season. Remember on the old Real World if someone so much as threatened another cast member they’d be kicked off? Not on the new MTV… The new MTV encourages and promotes violence. It’s sick.

  21. the original bellaluna says:

@ miagirl – Do you have a volunteer sign-up sheet? Because I’m there! 😀 With rings on, girlfriend. Sharp pointy ones! (Princess & Trillion cut!)

@ klimp – Yes, SMS is an ugly thing. I offer up (as a prime example) Xenu’s Apprentice.

  22. Bronson says:

south park nailed it: “all these people do is hump and punch each other.”

  23. mia girl says:

    @original bellaluna
I enjoy your posts so much, and so in appreciation for always making me laugh and/or think, you have earned your place as first in line for the “Jersey Shore Producer Punch Promenade”! I think if we pitch this idea to the masses, it would rival the Million Man March!

  24. gg says:

ita with Bellaluna. They live sad, disgusting lives. They do not represent all young people – they were specifically chosen because they are so unusually immature and crass drunks who like being orange despite being shunned by the real public.

  25. GradStudentEatingHotPockets says:

Those cuts look like the cuts you get when you’re punching someone and your fist comes into contact with their teeth…either that or Ronnie not only punched the Situation but also punched walls or doors or something.

  26. Camille says:

I don’t know why I read this. I really don’t care about these disgusting nobodies. 😆

  27. the original bellaluna says:

@ mia girl – You let me know when and where, and I’m there. With rings on! 😀 (And thanks!)

  28. Louise says:

I don’t know why this is being reported as a cover. Obviously MTV doesn’t want anything leaked until the premier.

  29. judyjudy says:

Is he wearing a rosary as a necklace? Nice.

  30. wifeyskarsgard says:

There was another report saying that is was because of Sammie that the fight happened. Whatever the case the whole cast is disgusting and on steroids.

  31. yadicakes says:

Whatever happened, maybe it will fix “the situations” face?

  32. Bill Hicks is God says:

These fools make the Gotti boys look like fine, socially upstanding, appropriately dressed members of Mensa.

  33. goodsense says:

Am I the only one that’s a little jealous of Ronnie because he did something I’d also like
    to do.

  34. SM says:

    Good Show

  35. SEANMAC187 says:

i think the fight happened and is being played down, so that it can be reveled and seen when the episode is finally aired. The networks hope if theres not to much hype brought up, hopefully us dim witted viewer cattle will forget about it till the episode is released because lets face it everyone love a surprise, sorry to say JS we already see it coming!

  36. Afankay says:

Oh shut up all of you, if you don’t like the show why are you coming on websites like this to read about the show? You’re all idiots. Don’t like it, don’t watch it. Simple as that.

  37. Anonymous says:

Ronnie has probably taking steroids for some time and all the testosterone in his system is making him have anger problems..

  38. Spice says:

Well Mike had it coming but Ronnie a lil bit to much well alot a people Would do the same oh yeah why are you hating on Ronnie so what he punched Mike big deal you probably punched someone to or a

  39. Gary Devon Linger says:

Ronnie is buff but that does not mean he is on roids. A lot of people work out without roids and they have a lot of muscle. Stop all this roid BS. Ronnie is a young man who works out and he earned his mass muscle. The Situation is plenty buff as well. It does not mean roid rage. Some guys are just jacked and they get into fights. Such is life. It does not mean roids.

  40. pppp says:

Rony is on drugs. His behavior proves that as a fact. MTV should not promote violence for any reason. Its only a matter of time before Ronny meets someone else on steroids that is his match and can kick his ass. First he fights Sammy, and no Micky. What an ass hole. MTV, what is your problem for keeping him on the show like that. He is a violent women and man better!!

  41. Life is simple says:

Life is pretty simple if you do not like something and have the ability to… keep away from it. Don’t fear it misunderstand it complain about it just don’t watch the f-in show. people are so dramatic its ridiculous, i don’t know one guy that was not trying to get laid as much as possible when they were younger… unless they were not in the position to but the good looking, interesting ones had the same agnda, the difference being it was not followed and televised. and PLEASE stop throwing around steroids unless you really understand what anabolic substances are, how they are used, and what side effects they really have. Not everything is a steroid you guys sound so ignorant when you say that “oh its steroids hes roid raging” every time i see that i know you don’t have the slightest clue what you are talking about. Either way the show is obviously resonating with someone because its on the fourth season and they are getting paid handsomely which does not happen unless the network is bringing in viewers and advertising money. so stop bitching about what other people are doing shut up and live your lives they are way to short to be discussing this

  42. sisti says:

Hahahahahahahaha I can’t wait to see this. Mike is way too “i’m the man of the house” and this is what happens when ur ego is too large. Now, Ronnie might feel like the man for a little bit…BUT he’s gotta make sure his head doesn’t get too big

On another topic, Jersey Shore is a hilarious show. Sure it doesn’t add any sort of intelligence or class. But there are moments where they have hearts or know how to have fun.

It’s just entertainment, not life. Live your own life, don’t worry so much about what others are doing. Do what u think is right, and it’s always better to be a good example than to do anything else

  43. Craig says:

All they are doing is fimling what goes on everyday.
Except they are getting paid for it.
People love to hate them for no reason.

  44. Duh says:

the situation is a creep. Period.

  45. Pat says:

Men top women in the jealous department. Little Ronnie is “jealous” of Mike obviously because he’s better looking, gets more women and endorsements. Ronnie’s a punk and a runt and Mike isn’t interested in his relationship with the clinging vine. He needs to get over it. By the way, has anybody noticed Ronnie doesn’t have a neck, probably due to all those steroids. Sure looks bad in a short guy.

  46. Pat says:

Ronnie looks like a molar with a head on top.

  47. Pat says:

The truth of the matter is Mike is “cute”, Ronnie is short and doesn’t have a persnality…a guess you’d call him a goofball.

  48. Pat says:

The more steroids Ronnie does, the more shorter he gets.

  49. Pat says:

Ronnie is a nerd, all nerd, nothing but nerd.

  50. jerseyshore says:
