In 2019, Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton began working together on a play, Betrayal, in London. They ended up bringing the play to Broadway with the same cast and everything was pretty successful across the board. While Zawe and Tom likely knew each other for years before they did the play, I think that (in 2019) was when they began dating. That was when we first got stories about how Tom had “really fallen for Zawe” and they were very much in love. When Tom was working on the Loki series in Atlanta last year, Zawe reportedly stayed in Atlanta with him and they’ve been living together for a while, maybe? Obviously, Tom has tried to keep his private life on lockdown post-Tiddles, so we rarely get any kind of updates on Zaddles (Ziddles?), but here’s something: they’re vacationing together in Ibiza.

Since I have no idea what’s happening and what has happened in recent years, I’m just going to wildly speculate! My speculation is that Tom and Zawe have been together this whole time, since they got together in 2019. I think he loves that she’s not a big household name, nor is she a famewhore. I think they’re the real deal and they’re very, very serious about each other and they’ve been serious about each other this whole time. It makes that whole Jane Arthy debacle kind of funny in retrospect. (Not to gatekeep, but only true Dragonflies will remember the heady days of Arthy speculation, because they were convinced that Tom and Jane were secretly engaged and pregnant.)

The Fail itself ran pictures of him walking his dog in London last month and it is not necessary to constantly revisit a two-months long relationship that ended years ago.

Re T&Z living in Atlanta: the Daily Fail is failing again, as usual.
Not only were there several Tom&Bobby sightings in the past few weeks that their paparazzi caught/shared, but Zawe also did some virtual events from Tom’s house, among them one Zoom call for Penguin books to promote authors.
I’m happy for them that they finally feel so secure in their relationship that they didn’t mind going public, and it’s good to see that most of the fans’ reactions have been positive, aside from a handful bitter misogynoir bodyshamers.

I actually got to see Betrayal on Broadway, pre-Covid. It was great and, my God, she was phenomenal. I love Hiddles AND Charlie Cox, but that was her stage. Love them together.

It makes me happy to finally have real confirmation they’re together, since we’ve heard rumors for so long but not a lot of solid proof. They seem like a super well-matched couple and I wish them the best! Very cute.
I feel like a bit of a hypocrite because on the one hand, I check in and occasionally comment here and it’s always nice to get some news and new pics of Hiddleston, but on the other, I feel bad that their vacation probably marred by paps. I am glad to see that they are still together. Not that it’s any of my business but they seem well-matched and it’s so nice to see a male celebrity dating someone the same age! I briefly spoke with Zawe at the Betrayal stage door (Broadway) to congratulate her. It was while her own play–For all the women who thought they were mad–was on both in London and in NY at the Soho Rep and she seemed genuinely touched that I’d gone to see her play as well. I mean it was a 2 minute interaction at most but she seemed like one of those rare people, that if she was in your friend group you’d be a little envious that one person was so gorgeous and accomplished but you couldn’t hate on them because they also were such a genuinely lovely person. I hope that it all works out for them however they want it to.
If it makes you feel any better, paps don’t just roam around beaches in Ibiza and were likely tipped off by one of their teams! Perhaps they were ready to finally come out as a couple.
I promise that I’m not totally naive–in fact I’m general more of a cynical pessimist– but given how private and locked down Hiddleston has been about his private life–he doesn’t even talk about his dog–I personally doubt this is the case. Ibiza is just the place that I WOULD imagine a pap or two hanging out because it seems like a place where they could semi-regularly find at least the C-D level British reality TV folks that make good tabloid fodder (or a pap or two were on the island and got tipped off by someone at the beach who posted a pick to social media).
Also, there are part-time paps who take just enough photos to be able to charge of their photography equipment, travel, etc. as business expenses. A beach bum/club kid could pay off a fairly long jaunt on Ibiza with what they got for those pics.
I had a friend who worked at an LA day care which frequently had bottom feeder paps show up. It was a real problem. Nobody was calling them, despite what the fan sites said when the pics made the papers.
All it takes is one person recognizing them as they make their way to and around Ibiza for the paps to smell blood.
Plus, considering how over the top HIS fans are, I would not be surprised if the info came from them. There are LOADS of opportunities for someone to recognize him: the airport, a restaurant, the hotel lobby.
They’re cuties, both of them. It’s nice seeing the occasional photo together. I’m glad they’re able to maintain a large measure of privacy.

I never thought I would say this about Hiddleston (cause he always seemed too dorky for my taste), but they make one hot couple. She makes him look more mature in a good way.

I saw them in Betrayal on Broadway October 2019. Tbh, they weren’t that good looking up close (I had front row seats). Tom was gangly and had mannerisms of an ex of mine and she wasnt as stunning as I expected her to be. My Tom crush deflated seeing him up close. It is good to see him in love though after the Taylor Swift fiasco.
