Brad Pitt’s bodyguard questioned in a brutal Hollywood murder

Here are some new photos of Brad Pitt leaving Mastros steakhouse in Los Angeles last night. I don’t know what he was doing there. Eating, perhaps? Maybe it was a business dinner? Or maybe he was meeting up with Jennifer Aniston to discuss her pregnancy and whether or not he would – AT LONG LAST – leave Angelina Jolie for Aniston is her heartbroken time of need. Probably just having dinner.

Should we even discuss Brad’s scruff at this point? Clearly, he doesn’t really give a crap about what we think of his scruff. And I’ll give him some credit – what’s going on here is better than the gnarly goat beard he had a while back. I realize that Brad’s current instinct is to tamp down his pretty at all costs, but I find it disrespectful when he doesn’t even shave for big awards shows. So… the scruff is fine in these photos – but if and when he gets nominated for another Oscar, he needs to shave that crap.

By the way, have you heard this completely odd and tragic story about a murder tangentially connected to Brad and Angelina? According to LA media outlets, police found a human head and a severed hand on a hiking trail just below the Hollywood sign, near Bronson Canyon Park, which is Brad and Angelina’s Hollywood neighborhood. The police canvassed the area, looking for eyewitnesses, clues and anything else, and they ended up talking to Brad’s bodyguard. That’s it – the bodyguard was one of dozens of people questioned. So, you know what that means – “Brad Pitt and his bodyguard questioned over missing woman, police suspect Angelina Jolie!” Crime gossip is remarkably similar to celebrity gossip. You can read more about the situation here.

Natalie Wood’s 1981 death is being re-investigated with new, sketchy evidence

wood3

This is for you bitches who used to beg me to write about vintage Hollywood scandals. In 1981, Natalie Wood’s body was found floating in the ocean a mile from Splendor, the boat she shared with her husband, Robert Wagner. They had been anchored just off of Catalina Island, and at the time, the story was that Natalie was either buzzed or completely drunk, and she had slipped and fallen off of the boat. The idea of Natalie’s accidental drowning was made worse by the fact that she had a well-documented fear of water – and I don’t think she could swim, either. On the boat with Natalie that night: the captain of the boat, Natalie’s husband Robert Wagner and Natalie’s then-current costar, Christopher Walken. There was controversy, gossip and whispers about Natalie’s death at the time, but it was ruled as an accident… until now. The LA County Sheriff’s Office has just reopened the case because they say they have new evidence:

What happened to Natalie Wood?

That is the question the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office hopes to answer regarding the Nov. 29, 1981, death of the adored movie star, it was announced late Thursday.

On Friday morning’s Today show, the captain of the boat Wood fled the night of her drowning alleged that her husband, Robert Wagner, was responsible for her death.

“I made mistakes by not telling the honest truth in a police report,” Dennis Davern also said on the NBC program.

Saying they had new information about Wood’s death – some of it apparently form Davern – sheriff’s officials have decided to reopen the investigation, according to Deputy Benjamin Grubb.

Wood, a child actress (1947′s Miracle on 34th Street) who went on to A-list status after 1955′s Rebel Without a Cause, 1961′s West Side Story and 1963′s Love With the Proper Stranger, was 43 when she mysteriously drowned while boating off Southern California’s Catalina Island.

When found, Wood’s body was floating about a mile away from the yacht carrying her husband and the actor Christopher Walken, Wood’s costar in the movie Brainstorm, which she was shooting at the time. The autopsy called the death an accident, though the tragedy has long been shrouded in gossip and speculation.

A spokesman for Wagner, 81, commenting on news that the case is being reopened, said in a statement, “Although no one in the Wagner family has heard from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department about this matter, they fully support the efforts of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and trust they will evaluate whether any new information relating to the death of Natalie Wood Wagner is valid, and that it comes from a credible source or sources other than those simply trying to profit from the 30-year anniversary of her tragic death.”

The Los Angeles Times reports that homicide detectives wish to speak to Davern, the captain of the yacht, which was named Splendour (Wood starred in 1961′s Splendor in the Grass), after comments he made recounting Wood’s death on its 30th anniversary.

Without elaborating, Sheriff Lee Baca told the newspaper that what Davern said was “worthy of exploring.” Davern co-authored a book published last year, Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour, and said there were arguments aboard the yacht the night of the drowning.

Boat Captain Grilled
Grilled by NBC’s David Gregory on Friday’s Today show, Davern said in response to several direct questions that he thought Wagner was responsible for Wood’s death, and that he and Wagner did not do all they should have the night she died. Davern also said that Wagner told him (Davern) not to take any steps to locate Wood once she left the boat, and that he and Wagner later agreed on what they would tell police.

“Any message you would want to tell Robert Wagner this morning?” Gregory asked Davern. “No,” he replied.

“I just want the truth to come out, the real story,” Natalie’s younger sister, Lana Wood, told CNN last year. “My sister was not a swimmer and did not know how to swim, and she would never go to another boat or to shore dressed in a nightgown and socks.”

A news conference on the matter has been scheduled by the Sheriff’s Department for Friday at 11 a.m. West Coast time.

[From People]

In September, 2009, The Enquirer excerpted the boat captain’s (Dennis Davern’s) book. According to Davern’s account of the evening, Wagner and Wood were fighting ABOUT Christopher Walken. Wagner believed Walken wanted to sleep with Natalie, and that Natalie was encouraging Walken. Davern claims the fight continued for hours, fueled by alcohol, and that the screaming fight turned physical. Davern identified Natalie’s body, and he claims that he saw bruises on her arms and legs that were from Wagner’s abuse, not her fall. He also claims that Wagner was with Natalie when she fell into the water, and Wagner encouraged the cover-up.

So, is it possible that Robert Wagner has gotten away with murder all this time? I don’t know. My mom always thought Wagner was fishy, though.

Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister: Kris Jenner is lying, profiting off my sister’s death

wenn1107821
In between defending her daughter’s failed sham of a marriage and claiming we don’t real know her family, Kris Kardashian Jenner has been promoting her new memoir, a large portion of which is dedicated to her friendship with Nicole Brown Simpson. During her media tour and in her book, Kris claimed that Nicole reached out to her the day before she was murdered, but that she was too busy to see her. In Kris’ mind, she somehow could have “saved” Nicole if she had only been there for her. It was ridiculous, self-centered and cruel to bring all that up to promote a book, but that’s Kris Jenner for you. She’s responsible for foisting her family on the world and she’s shameless. Well Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister, Denise Brown, went on the record with the Enquirer to denounce Kris and call her both pathetic and a liar. Apparently Kris claims in her book that Denise called her after the murder and asked her about the safe deposit box where Nicole kept photos and other evidence of her abuse. Denise denies ever doing that and says that the fact that Kris is bringing up her sister’s murder is hard for their family to take. Denise also calls out Kris for profiting off her sister’s death.

wenn5739627

Kris Jenner is being blasted for writing about the death of Nicole Brown Simpson by the murdered woman’s sister Denise Brown, who says Kris is dredging up the painful past for profit.

What’s worse, Denise says Kris’ version of events – as detailed in the newly released “Kris Jenner…and All Things Kardashian” – is not even accurate!

“Kris Jenner IS pathetic,” Denise, 54, told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview.

In the book, Kris writes that the day after Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered in June 1994, Denise called her and asked about some photos Nicole kept hidden in a secret safety deposit box.

“Nicole had been beaten up by O.J., and she had been keeping this physical proof in the form of photographs and, it would turn out, other evidence, in which she had documented seven years of abuse,” Kris divulged in the book. “Nicole really wanted someone close to her to know what was going on, so that somebody – namely me – could be a witness.”

But Denise strongly denies calling Kris, 56, to ask about the photos during those heartbreaking days.

“I had just found out my sister was murdered,” Denise recalled. “The last thing on my mind was whether or not Nicole showed anyone any pictures she had in a safety deposit box.

“In fact, I didn’t even know my sister HAD a safety deposit box with pictures of her abuse until the beginning of O.J.’s trial – months after she was murdered…

““I think most people will question her intentions of writing about my sister’s murder,” Denise fumed. “I am really disappointed in Kris. For the past two-and-a-half years, my family has had some relative peace regarding all of this stuff. Now that Kris has brought it up again, she’s split open the healing wounds.

“For her to write about it is like reliving it all over again. My poor mother is really taking it hard.”

But for the Kardashian clan – who reportedly raked in $65 million last year – it’s all about money, say sources.

“Haven’t they made enough?” Denise added. “Nicole has been dead for 17 years. Please, Kris, don’t profit off of my sister’s horrible death.”

[From The National Enquirer, print and online editions]

I’m glad someone thought to ask the Brown family what they thought of Kris Jenner’s ridiculous claims. The woman is lying through her teeth, and her ex husband was one of O.J.’s high paid defense lawyers. She writes that she never thought O.J. was innocent and that was suspicious of his actions following the murder. So why didn’t she confront her ex husband about it? I’m sure she made up a bunch of excuses and lies about that too.

Kris also revealed that she cheated on her then-husband, Robert Kardashian, with a “producer named Ryan” when she was 30. (Not this Ryan, he would have been 11 at the time.) That was in 1985, and Kris filed for divorce from Robert in 1990. She wrote that “I don’t know why I was having a mid-life crisis at 30, but I was. His name was Ryan, and he was a producer. We had wild sex everywhere, all the time.” TMI from Kris, but that’s what she’s known for. That and bending the truth to promote herself and make money.

John Galliano isn’t going to jail for drunkenly slurring “I love Hitler”

wenn3409610

This is just a follow-up, and hopefully the last post, about John Galliano and his drunken, hate-speechy shenanigans. Earlier this year, Galliano was arrested and charged with assault and a hate crime when he attacked – verbally and physically – a woman. After that came the video of Galliano sitting in an outdoor café or something, saying on camera that he loves Hitler. That is considered “hate speech” in France, and they have laws against it. Anyway, a total sh-tstorm followed, and Galliano was publicly maligned by many in the fashion industry. He was first suspended, and then fired from his position at Christian Dior, and Galliano checked himself into rehab. Now, the finale! Galliano was just convicted of hate crimes in Paris, but he doesn’t have to go to jail:

Fashion designer John Galliano was convicted in Paris Thursday of hate crimes after making anti-Semitic and racist remarks on two separate occasions.

The court imposed a suspended fine of 6,000 euros ($8,500) this afternoon. The former Dior designer was also ordered to pay a symbolic one euro fine to one of the plaintiffs in the case.

Galliano was not in court to hear the ruling. Speaking to reporters outside the courtroom, his attorney Aurélien Hamelle called it a “wise decision” and added that his client was now “very relieved.”

The 6,000 euro fine is suspended on a conditional term, according to legal sources, that Galliano not be found guilty of any crime in France for five years. He must also pay a 90-euros court cost to the French government.

Two Cases
Thursday’s decision is the result of two cases heard simultaneously in June by the 17th chamber of the Paris Criminal Court. In the first episode, which resulted in Galliano’s Feb. 24 arrest, he was accused of assaulting two people at La Perle, a cafe down the street from his Marais apartment.

The second case involved an incident on Oct. 8, 2010, at the same bar, where he was accused of insulting a 40-year-old woman. The plaintiff in that case came forward only after his February arrest.

Neither case was directly related to a third incident – Galliano’s infamous video in which he professed his love for Hitler.

Galliano, 50, who was fired by Dior following the incidents, attended the proceedings Wednesday, having barely been seen since his arrest. After testifying to a police inquiry in February, he left France to enter The Meadows rehabilitation center in Wickenburg, Ariz.

Since his April release from The Meadows, he was rarely seen in public, other than briefly at Los Angeles International Airport while in transit to an outpatient care facility. He did attend Kate Moss’s July 1 wedding, for which he also designed the gown.

On June 22, Galliano took the stand in his own defense, testifying to the court that he doesn’t remember the incident of Feb. 24 because of a triple addiction to sleeping pills, Valium and alcohol. Explaining his absence of memory, he said: “I have an addiction. I am currently undergoing treatment.”

Dressed in a somber black suit, the designer told the court his addictions grew from his work load and grief caused by the deaths of his father and his right-hand man, Stephen Robinson.

[From People]

Eh. It sounds like the French government didn’t really care, right? What’s the use of having hate speech laws on the books if you don’t enforce them vigorously? The whole things sounds like a colossal waste of time. And considering the influential people who are still on Galliano’s side, he’ll be back. He’ll have a career again. I don’t see him getting a job as some chief designer for one of the major fashion houses, but he’ll probably do his own line, which I’m sure will be enormously popular.

Joss Stone was almost kidnapped & murdered, apparently

wenn5428375

I didn’t even want to write about this because it just seems so utterly bizarre. But it really happened – police in England arrested two men who are accused of plotting to kidnap and murder singer/actress Joss Stone. The alleged kidnappers possessed “detailed maps and aerial photos of her rural property in east Devon” as well as “swords, forensic-style overalls… and a body bag.” Oh, and ROPE. The Sun even has a photo of rope, in case you need to see it illustrated. I’m sorry, I’m seriously not making light of this, it sounds so sketchy and scary, and Joss is really lucky that she has paranoid neighbors:

TWO men were being held last night over a suspected plot to rob and murder singer Joss Stone. Cops found swords, rope and a body bag when they swooped on the pair at around 10am yesterday near the star’s isolated country home.

The men, aged 33 and 30, also had detailed maps and aerial photos of her rural property in east Devon. The suspects had travelled from the Manchester area 200 miles away.

Police insiders said they were arrested on suspicion of planning a terrifying raid on Joss, 24, who has a £9million personal fortune.

The alleged plot was foiled by sharp-eyed neighbours who saw two black men acting suspiciously in a red Fiat Punto. The car was being driven slowly around the isolated lanes of the Cullompton area. Police were alerted and took the men to Exeter, where they were being questioned last night.

A 20-strong team of detectives is now working on the case, liaising with colleagues in Manchester. Sources said the car was registered in Manchester but had a different owner. Cops said the men were initially held on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons and being equipped to steal.

Joss, who is close friends with Prince William and was at his wedding to Kate Middleton, is said to be in Britain and being kept informed of developments.

She said today she was “absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal”.

Det Insp Steve Parker said: “The men had information and items that lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offence.”

There was no sign of the singer yesterday at her farmhouse home, where workmen were busy. Joss, among the five top-earning female UK singing stars, is due to go back on tour next month. She has sold over ten million albums and worked with legends such as James Brown, The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder.

[From The Sun]

Thank goodness she’s safe! And thank goodness the cops were so proactive. This whole thing sounds so sketchy. It’s totally creeping me out that they might have gone through with their plot… at her country house. For some reason, that’s the detail that really bothers me. She would have been out in the country, perhaps her closest neighbor would have been a mile away, and if they had gotten a hold of her, it would have been a really bad situation.

Linnocent’s ankle monitor went off on Tuesday, in case you had money on it

52223pcn_lohanincourt04

As we talked about earlier this week, Linnocent’s crack shenanigans continue even though she’s currently under house arrest. She’s arranging photo shoots where she “poses” with scripts in an attempt to look like she’s “working”. Meanwhile, CB and I still can’t figure if Linnocent’s ankle monitor actually checks for drugs or alcohol – People Mag said that it doesn’t, and then they took that part of the article down. Our best guess is that it does not, just because the LAPD doesn’t want to have to make four trips a day every time the crack lojack goes off. So, what is Linnocent REALLY doing with her time? Doing drugs, doing shots, partying with her mom and her dealers? Probably. So that makes this story very, very interesting. Apparently, Linnocent’s ankle monitor has already gone off! Who had “Tuesday” in the betting pool?

Probation officials in Los Angeles paid a visit to Lindsay Lohan’s Venice Beach home Tuesday, after the electronic ankle monitor she’s wearing on her ankle went off. It’s not clear why the monitor went off, according to the LA Times.

The actress, according to the paper, was watching her 3-D TV, browsing scripts and posing for photographs for the tabloids on her rooftop at the time authorities arrived.

“They came as part of standard procedure to make sure the monitoring equipment was working properly,” her rep Steve Honig told the LA Times on Thursday.

When contacted by RadarOnline.com, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told us: “I don’t know anything about her bracelet going off.”

A source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com that it appears to have been an ankle bracelet malfunction and that Lindsay did not violate her court order.

“Lindsay is obeying all the rules and hasn’t taken a single step out of the line,” the source says.

Lohan was fitted with an electronic ankle monitor at the Lynwood Jail before retuning to her Venice Beach home, where she’s serving her 35 days of house arrest. She’s also been ordered by 480 hours of community service, expected to be divided between a women’s center and a morgue.

[From Radar]

Hmm… fishy. The LAPD spokesperson doesn’t know anything, but Linnocent’s rep jumped at the chance to reiterate that Linnocent is just sitting around, reading scripts? And how is this crackhead allowed on her roof? I thought she wasn’t even allowed on the exterior parts of the property! I bet the monitor was set off because of the roof thing, not because of the drugs (just because it doesn’t monitor drugs, not that she’s clean and sober). Although, it will be fascinating to see if there’s more information about this in the days to come. Linnocent stories have a way of getting much, much worse as time passes. Maybe when the LAPD busted into Linnocent’s house, they found her doing lines off of a corpse or something. Sigh… crack shenanigans.

Lindsay Lohan to clean at the morgue, appear on Tonight Show (update: video)

fp_7212758_lohanlindsay_len
The last we heard from Lindsay Lohan she was rallying against everyone who ever told her “no,” basically, since she’s been enabled and excused her entire life. It looks like she may finally be facing some long overdue consequences, as she’s been sentenced to 120 days in jail for her probation violation and could get even more time on the separate theft charge, for which she’ll be tried on June 3. She’s out of jail on appeal now, with her lawyer being so blindsided by the jail sentence that she scribbled her appeal on a standard legal form and just crossed out the parts that didn’t apply to Lindsay. It’s nice to know that the lawyer defending Lindsay is about as competent as she deserves. I’m sure Lindsay and Dina will be throwing her lawyer under the bus once Lindsay’s appeal fails spectacularly. (Fingers crossed!)

The latest in Lindsay news has details of her community service. She’s been sentenced to 120 hours of service at the morgue and 360 hours of service at a women’s homeless shelter. She’ll be “doing basic janitorial work” at the morgue, according to the Coroner’s assistant. She has a year to complete her service, which amounts to three months of full time work. Considering that she was unable to attend simple alcohol education classes that required a minimal time commitment, I think it’s safe to assume she’ll fail this as well. It’s been years since she’s worked even a month full time.

Lindsay Lohan, found in violation of probation, is facing the grim reality of 120 hours of community service – emphasis on grim.

The actress, 24, will be picking up trash, emptying trash bins, mopping floors and cleaning windows and restrooms at the L.A. County Department of Coroner’s facility.

“She’ll be doing basic janitorial work,” Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells PEOPLE. “She won’t be handling any dead bodies but she’ll certainly see them.”

This won’t be Lohan’s first visit to the downtown Los Angeles morgue. She previously completed a DUI morgue program following her second drunk-driving conviction 2007.

In addition to a four-month jail term, Lohan was also ordered Friday to complete 360 hours of service at the Downtown Women’s Center, a homeless shelter located in L.A.’s Skid Row.

Lohan must enroll in the two programs within a week and has a year to complete them.

Lohan remains free on bail pending an appeal of her sentence, which experts say she has slim chance of winning.

She faces a June 3 trial in her grand theft charge, which was reduced to a misdemeanor on Friday, facing a maximum penalty of an additional year in jail.

[From People]

Lindsay will probably pull a Naomi Campbell and wear sky high Louboutins to her community service, treating her walk to work like a catwalk until she bores of it and stops showing up after a week. Then when the end of a year rolls around and she’s failed to meet court requirements yet again, she’ll blame everyone else for her own personal failings, as her mother and father have taught her to do from a young age.

Meanwhile Linnocent is going to be on The Tonight Show this evening to get leered at by Jay while she tries to explain away her looming jail sentence. The interview was pre-taped and while we don’t have advance details, E! has a picture of the outfit Lindsay wears during the show and it’s surprisingly demure.

Let me anticipate how that is going to go – Lindsay will make a lot of excuses in her raspy 80 year-old smoker’s voice, she’ll talk about how she just wants to work and no one lets her, and Jay will make some dumb inappropriate jokes without pressuring her at all to tell the truth or face reality. In Lindsay’s world she’s still a star. There are still so many people around her willing to help her maintain that delusion.

Update: The Today Show had this clip of Lindsay’s appearance. She’s taking a small amount of responsibility and someone coached her on the right thing to say. She’s still operating under the delusion that this is about a simple mistake and is just about over. It’s only just begun for Lindsay.

Woman suing Match.com for date with registered sex offender speaks out

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

My first reaction just when hearing this story is that of course Match.com isn’t responsible in this case, but then I heard the details and realized that it’s time that Match checked user identities against the sex offender database. After this lawsuit, they’ve instituted that policy but claimed they were about to do it anyway.

53 year-old Carol Markin went on a second date with a guy she met on Match and was sexually assaulted. She said she tried to Google him ahead of time, but was never given a full name. (He did tell her his name but mumbled it so she wasn’t able to hear it all.) It was easy enough for her find out that he’s been convicted of multiple sex offenses once she got his name though (after he’d violated her), and she’s now suing Match to require that they do this simple background check on all their members. She’s not suing for money at all, just to bring awareness to this issue and to put pressure on them. It seems very reasonable and if she had to sue match to get this result then more power to her:

carol1

The Hollywood executive who’s suing Match.com, after claiming she was sexually assaulted by a convicted sex offender she met on the dating website, revealed her identity for the first time on The Today Show Tuesday.

Freelance producer/writer Carol Markin, 53, said she’s tired of hiding.

Markin told The Today Show she had a pleasant first date with her accused attacker, Alan Wurtzel, but the second date ended in horror, as he sexually assaulted her in his living room.

“He jumped me and then he overpowered me … I was afraid,” she said. “I don’t think people go on websites thinking their gonna get themselves in unsafe situations.”

Wurtzel has pleaded not guilty, claiming their sex was consensual.

After the incident, Markin said she researched Wurtzel’s background and learned he’d had a history of misdemeanor sex convictions.

Not seeking any money, Markin said her civil suit against Match.com (which she filed as “Jane Doe”) aims toward a reform of the website’s policies, so that they cross-check their clients with the sex offender registry.

“I think I’ve elevated the conversation about what’s going on,” she said. “They’re in the business of putting people together — I think they should be responsible about this.”

The website is already implementing security changes they claimed were in the works prior to the lawsuit. The company said in a previous statement: “While incidents like this one between individuals who meet on Match.com are extremely rare, it doesn’t make them any less horrifying.”

[From Radar]

Match.com is awesome and I personally know a lot of success stories from that site. This does remind you that you need to trust your instincts and follow certain rules when you meet someone online. Always screen someone carefully first through e-mail, then phone and/or skype ahead of time – don’t skip any steps no matter how good they sound! Meet someone in a public place first, have a friend on standby if possible, and if not make sure you tell your friends and family where you’re going to be and when so they can check to make sure you’re ok immediately afterwards. Thankfully terrible stories like this are the extreme exception, and maybe the awful experience this woman went through will help others avoid being victimized in the future. She’s very brave for speaking out like this.

Paz de la Huerta claimed “I’m a real actress – HBO!” while being arrested

fp_6881790_vanityfair_ram_116_182

About a month ago, our beloved hot mess Paz de la Huerta was arrested in NYC. She was drunk off her ass at the same bar as Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Swerta (some reality show person) and several dudes that Paz wanted to sex up. When Paz tried to hit on the dudes (and by that I mean Paz likely took out one boob, began fondling herself and said to the men, “Come here.”), this Samantha person laughed at Paz and mocked her drunkenness. Paz responded by punching Samantha in the face and throwing a glass at her. So… Paz was arrested, and now she’s been officially charged with assault.

‘Boardwalk Empire’ star Paz de la Huerta was just charged with assault for allegedly attacking “City” star Samantha Swetra at an NYC party last month … TMZ has learned.

Paz just appeared in criminal court in Manhattan — where the D.A. filed 5 misdemeanor charges against de la Huerta … including two counts of 3rd degree assault, 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon, attempted assault, and harassment.

The judge also granted a temporary restraining order against Paz — which even prohibits Paz from contacting Samantha on Facebook.

As we first reported, Paz allegedly threw a drinking glass at Samantha and punched her in the face during a party at the Standard Hotel on March 22.

Paz is due back in court on May 19.

UPDATE: Prosecutors told the judge Paz trashed Samantha during her stint in the police station on the night of the incident … saying, “I’m a REAL actress — HBO! She’s a publicity seeker, a FAKE actress.”

[From TMZ]

LMAO at “I’m a REAL actress — HBO! She’s a publicity seeker, a FAKE actress.” Oh, Paz! I love you. On Boardwalk Empire, isn’t she just “the slut”? Doesn’t she do, like, everybody on the show? Isn’t her work just taking off her clothes and moaning? And beyond the show, isn’t Paz basically famous for taking off her clothes and being a drunken, violent mess? Now, I don’t like these interchangeable reality stars any more than Paz, but methinks Paz is not the one to make the “publicity seeker/fake actress” point.

So, do you think Paz will have to do time for assault? I doubt it. She’ll probably just get, like, community service. Which should be EPIC.

As Radar Online reports, the website NecklaceVideo.com is currently selling views of the Lindsay Lohan “case of the purloined necklace” surveillance video for $2.99 a pop. It seems incredibly tacky and stupid in that it could show a financial and promotional motive for pressing charges against Lindsay, and give her defense team solid evidence to cast doubt on the store’s version of events. We’ve already seen a segment of the video on Entertainment Tonight, after the store sold it to the Associated Press for a reported $40,000. Lindsay announced plans to sue over its release, but it’s unclear whether she actually followed through with that.

Now they’re offering views of the tape online for $2.99. The whole tape is about 45 minutes and it’s unclear to me from this story and from the website whether you have to pay each time for access to different parts of it.

The jewelry store at the center of the Lindsay Lohan theft case is charging online users $2.99 to watch the surveillance video showing the actress allegedly stealing a $2500 necklace, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The video, which was first obtained by The Associated Press and licensed to Entertainment Tonight, shows four different camera angles and is 42 minutes in length.

On necklacevideo.com, a representative associated with Kamofie & Company is promising to post “new content every day” and are attempting to seduce an audience to “come back tomorrow for more.”

“We will help you make-up your mind about what really happened,” the website brazenly declares.

It is yet another bizarre development from the Venice Beach, Calif., store which also attempted but failed to attract a book deal.

They even touted a possible movie chronicling the high-profile case.

In an email promoting the website, necklacevideo.com declares that it can provide answers to whom to believe in the case and even whether Lohan, 24, will “someday win the Academy Award for Best Actress.”

“NecklaceVideo.com is disclosing everything,” it’s said, adding: “The entire video surveillance footage, the real nature of the necklace, the supposed dialogue between Lindsay and the salesgirl.”

[From Radar Online]

This report on Radar makes it sound like it makes sense – there’s a website where you can buy access to the tape for $2.99. But the NecklaceVideo website is absurd. The other posts beneath the top one make no sense and read like the stuff that spammers put up as an excuse to include links to their websites. It’s confusing, and seems like they picked random filler stories for the rest of the website. Did they hire a non-English speaking person to make it for them and did they just post nonsense? It’s ridiculous. The sad thing is that this could vindicate Linnocent and add some credence to that “they’re just out to get me and hitch their name to my star” defense that she’s uses every single time.

So I have a potential conspiracy theory that Lindsay set up this website to make herself look like an innocent victim. There are certainly plenty of positive comments about her and the content of the site isn’t that negative apart from the video. It’s registered under a P.O. Box and someone named “C.M. Spencer,” who is “a crisis management expert who represents the jewelry store” and has spoken out about their justification for releasing the tape. This is a very dumb move and that website is ridiculous.
