Bad news for all of us who were crushing on John Legend: he’s probably a cheater. John has been engaged to Chrissy Teigen, a model, since Christmas 2011. I see interviews with her occasionally where she’s talking about their wedding plans, and there has been no rumor (that I’m aware of) of any alleged breakup or problem with their engagement. And now Page Six says that John was totally making out with some random chick at a club the other night. UGH. I thought you were a “feminist” John!!!

Cute crooner John Legend cheated on his Sports Illustrated swimsuit model fiancée, Chrissy Teigen, by smooching a young woman the other night at a Manhattan hotspot, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Legend’s lusty lip-lock came days before Teigen complained via Twitter about other women who want to “[bleep] my fiancé.” And Legend has this week been talking about his impending marriage, and baby plans with Teigen in interviews.

Sources tell us the kiss came when Legend was at Acme on Friday night. A spy said the suave performer was partying with male pals who struck up a conversation with “two pretty girls in their late 20s, one blond and one brunette” at the next table. After “chatting all night,” the witness said the blonde got up to go to the bathroom after 1 a.m., and “John followed her.”

Legend was then seen pulling the woman into a bathroom with him. “He was walking in, and just grabbed her arm and brought her with him,” said the witness. Another witness also confirmed seeing the “Green Light” singer pull the lady into the bathroom, and later overheard the bathroom babe telling her friend that she and Legend shared “a steamy make-out session.”

“They were in there a couple minutes,” said a source. But, the union was apparently short-lived.“The same girl saw another hot guy and started talking to him,” one spy said. Reps for Legend and Teigen had no comment.

Teigen, the host of VH1’s “Model Employee” who recently got into hot water with Instagram for posting a nude pic of herself, tweeted Monday: “I honestly think so many more of us would get along if you didn’t want to [bleep] my fiancé.” Legend, who’s been engaged to Teigen since 2011, said in an interview this week, “There’s a song on my album that actually could be pretty good for the wedding. ‘All of Me’ . . . it’s inspired by Chrissy.”

The two attended a screening together Tuesday night, and, “They seemed very much together,” a spy said. “They were beaming and happy and holding hands.”

Of course this could all be BS. Page Six gets it wrong sometimes, but I don’t understand why they would go out of their way to make up a story about John Legend. I mean, it’s not like he’s a tabloid fixture and it’s not like there’s any kind of drama with him in general. So does Chrissy know that Legend goes out and makes out with randoms? Does she accept it? Or will this be the end of their engagement? Ugh.

Selena Gomez worked it at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in a very adventurous nude Atelier Versace gown with bustier detail. She’s been attempting to grow up right before our very eyes for a couple of years now, and even though Selena is 20 years old, that baby face will probably haunt her for the rest of her life. When she’s 50, she’ll be able to laugh at all of us with our adult-looking visages, but for now, Selena will suffer the wrath of her own beautiful cherub likeness. Certainly, there are worse things to endure, but I can understand why it must be frustrating to not be able to push past her teenage image.

In very recent days, Selena’s mixed up some grown-up looks with a cute Gucci dress and a sexy Atelier Versace suit, but she doesn’t have as much luck with this dress. For one thing, her rack looks conspiciously larger than usual in those bustier cups. Can I start a rumor about a possible Selena boob job here? Done. Seriously though (and to borrow a term from Kaiser), has Selena invested in some bolt-ons to make herself appear more mature? I couldn’t say for sure, but her girls are suspiciously out there in a big way. Similarly, I also feel like those Lorraine Schwartz earrings are completely out of place, and some silver dangles would have been more appropriate. Her makeup looks good though — she’s so pretty. Obviously, I’m quite distracted by the boob mystery at hand. Witness:

Vanessa Hudgens tried her very hardest to bring it in this shimmering, bronze Moschino gown with Jacob & Co. jewels. I think she succeeds here, don’t you? She’s a very cute girl, and this dress looks great on her figure. Her hair and makeup are both youthful and slightly glamourous, and I think Vanessa is one of the rare people who can get alway with a bold, red lip color. Yes, this is a win for Vanessa! If I were to hit a red carpet, I’d probably wear a dress just like this. Then I’d trip and fall just like JLaw.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend looked adorable together as always. I can’t find a designer ID on this gown anywhere and even trolled through her Twitter page only to find a photo of Sally Field standing on the dress. I tweeted Chrissy for the designer ID; she didn’t tweet me back, but she did follow me. Sadly, she might unfollow me if she ever learns that I don’t understand this gown at all. The black column skirt is sophisticated, but the gold top half is quite perplexing. Clearly, there’s a mesh overlay involved with the illusion effect, but it makes me cross my eyes trying to figure it out. Can I call this a statement dress? Is that allowed? So be it. I love Chrissy, but I’ll freely admit that she has much better taste in food than VF party dresses.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore a really awful gold, sheer gown by Zuhair Murad. There is so much going on here that I don’t see how anyone could point out a good aspect to this dress. It looks like a kaleidoscope threw up all over toilet paper. It’s completely awful, and not even a Victoria’s Secret model can get away with this mess.

These are photos of Kate Upton a few days ago in Las Vegas to promote her second consecutive Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit edition cover. I’m not crazy about this purple dress at all because this type of neckline isn’t terribly flattering on big-busts (and I speak from personal experience), and horizontal stripes aren’t flattering on anybody. Let alone a model that people seem to have it out for in terms of not being good enough. Over and over again, people have screamed out for models who don’t look like coat hangers, and now there’s been a ridiculous backlash towards this lovely, 20-year-old model for daring to have some flesh on her bones.

Indeed, Kate has already defended herself against pro-ana criticisms and insists that she loves her “healthy curves.” Personally, I think it’s pretty great that she’s quickly grown so successful in the past year while still being able to eat solid foods. But the criticism is back again this year with Kate’s new parka-boobs magazine cover, and she’s managing to gracefully dodge such questions. Also, her fellow SI models (including my favorite, Chrissy Teigen) are defending Kate — which means that the stories that they mean-girled her last year are either inaccurate or they’ve wised up and realized that Kate is here to stay for awhile — in a refreshing twist. Here are the details:

Sports Illustrated treated Kate Upton like a dumb blonde: The top model only learned she landed on the cover of the Swimsuit Issue when the news leaked online Friday. “I immediately called SI, and they were like, ‘Don’t tweet anything!’” she told us at the issue’s official launch party Tuesday at Crimson. Upton’s on the cover for the second year in a row, and has bizarrely been bashed by some for her curvy body. “Everyone has the right to their own opinion,” she told us. “I am in a good place in my career, so it’s all right.”

While Upton brushed off criticism, her fellow bikini babes came to her defense. “Everyone is hyper-critical of women, and it’s got to stop,” Alyssa Miller said. “We should be embracing all body types.” Chrissy Teigen added, “I don’t think people realize we read everything.” While Upton was top dog, Katherine Webb — the SI babe and Miss Alabama who became famous as Brent Musburger’s obsession — turned almost as many heads. She was seen posing for pics with pageant-queen guests Alison Cronin and Brenna Mader.

Kate is still so very young, and it must be at least somewhat difficult to be in the public eye while certain people keep loudly insisting that you’re too fat to be a swimsuit model. Yet she manages to project a good-natured attitude about all of the nonsense, and she’s absolutely correct in that her career is on fire and that none of the criticism really even matters. In fact, she’s generating quite the conversation on body image, so I think we can count Kate as a modelling success on more notes than one.

In related boobery, Kate has announced that she is completely single. So I guess she’s no longer dating Justin Verlander, right? His loss.

My favorite model will forever be the elusive Kate Moss, but I can easily accept that Kate might be enigmatic yet doesn’t have much of a personality. That’s one of the reasons why Kate, historically, hasn’t done many interviews — because she’s not really witty or funny, and hearing from her all the time might just have ruined her career. Poor Kate, I still love her though.

In sharp contrast, Chrissy Teigen (if you don’t know who she is, check this year’s Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit edition) has got to be the funniest model around. I’m consistently giggling up a storm at her tweets, and I think she’s secretly the biggest troll that Twitter has ever known. She’s forever picking fights with Chris Brown’s “Team Breezy” fans, and I felt kind of bad that I laughed so hard when she tweeted about waking up her fiance, John Legend, from a nap to tell him that Cher was dead. He got really sad and went back to sleep, and she was so amused that he was sleeping while thinking Cher was dead. It was only funny because Cher isn’t dead. Ahh, never mind.

Anyway, Chrissy is one of those rare, atypical models who will confess to loving food and eating it on a regular basis. She’s also a trained chef and has a food blog called So Delushious … although she hasn’t blogged in about a month, and the “week of Ramen” (the really good Tokyo stuff) at the top of the page makes me hungry every time I look at it. She also has a brand new show on the Cooking Channel that premieres tonight. The show will follow her (and John) as she plans her wedding menu and as “becomes one with her surroundings” in the Smoky Mountain foothills. Lots of food will be had.

It’s not all fun and games though. Chrissy has recently admitted that she lives to eat and hates dieting, but whenever she has a swimsuit shoot coming up (and she’s been featured in SI for several consecutive years now), she goes on a week-long juice fast. This is somewhat similar to Adriana Lima’s admission to a very hardcore liquid diet (which she later tried to retract) while preparing for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Surely, Chrissy is consulting with a nutritionist for her own liquid diet (and she admits to “cheating” with some solid raw food), but this is still somewhat shocking to hear from a woman who talks about food every day, all day long:

Sports Illustrated model and food lover Chrissy Teigen has revealed how she very reluctantly prepares for her “daunting” bikini shoots.

The 27-year-old, who is set to marry John Legend, explained to Cooking Channel TV that she hates dieting “so much I can barely explain without getting angry, but I don’t walk onto the set of a swimsuit shoot without having that whole week prior being a pretty strict regimen.”

She doesn’t elaborate on what the “strict regimen” is, but her Twitter feed and food blog indicate that juice cleanses are behind her swimsuit-ready physique. On December 11, the brunette tweeted a photograph of a large pan of mussels captioned with the description: “Served with bok choy and thai sea bass. Now we say goodbye to food and hello to juice for 1 week!”

Miss Teigen also goes into juice cleansing in more detail on her blog So Delushious! She wrote last October: “It’s honestly not something I push and advocate for, nor do I want to lose all credibility as someone who LOVES food. Trust me, I already got the, ‘you write a food blog and you don’t even eat’ sh-t.

“Would I EVER do a 10-day juice cleanse if I didn’t have to be in a bikini… sometimes only half a bikini… in highly circulated magazines? Holy sh-t, NO. I love my body. Well, I love my in-clothes body. Loving your bikini bod is a whole other ball game. And getting in a bikini when you just completed 3 weeks of not just eating but FEASTING every single day is a little daunting to say the least.”

When she eats a lot she doesn’t put weight on in the right places. “Skinny legs. Skinny (untoned) arms. And a poof in the belly,” she explains.

To gear up for modeling assignments she says that she opts for the ten-day Blueprint moderate cleanse, which consists of three green juices a day, one spicy lemonade, one pineapple, and one cashew milk drink.

“The Blueprint cleanse is great because it provides all-around nourishment. You are consuming around 20 pounds of fruits and vegetables (well however much juice that would make at least) every single day,” Miss Teigen writes.

“I made the decision last night… I would allow small amounts of raw nuts, raw veg, a couple pieces of sashimi in moments of real hunger, avocado. That’s. All. I needed to make the adjustments necessary to keep meeee happy.” She later writes that she was unable to sleep properly because she “missed the feeling of going to bed with a full, heavy belly. That feeling is soothing to me.”

Let me just say upfront that I know there are a lot of people who advocate the cleansing effects of an occasional juice diet, but there’s no way in hell that I could ever not eat solids for over a week. Even after having my wisdom teeth pulled, I was crawling the walls after two days of nothing but yogurt and applesauce. However, I can understand that there are certain pressures of being a model, and one who models swimsuits must certainly (at least on occasion) go to great lengths to maintain such a figure. When I look at Chrissy’s bodypaint shots from this year’s SI though, I just envy the elasticity of her boobs. She’s so gorgeous, and she’s so real.

Well, I’m not sure how many people will care about this story because (to paraphrase CB) it concerns a decidedly non-scandalous couple, but we could all stand a little bit of good news about a couple of non-famewhorey celebrities, right? Over a Christmas holiday in the Maldives, singer and songwriter John Legend (who has collaborated with The Roots and Kanye West) became engaged to his girlfriend of four years, Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen:

“Ordinary People” soul singer John Legend is doing something extraordinary – he’s getting married.

“John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives,” Legend’s rep, Cindi Berger, tells PEOPLE.

No further details were provided, but Legend’s whereabouts this coming weekend are being reported in Las Vegas newspapers.

The singer, 32, will be performing at The Pearl at the Palms on New Year
s Eve. His latest album, with The Roots, is Wake Up!.

Sigh. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to date and marry a soul singer like Legend? I mean, anytime the romance is otherwise lacking, he could just whip out the smooth baritone and go all Barry White. Chrissy is such a lucky lady, and if you’ve ever followed her on Twitter, you’ll know that she’s very sharp, funny and largely unaffected (by fame) as well. Then again, she’s claimed in the past to be a huge fan of Pajiba, so maybe I’m a bit partial.

We haven’t paid much attention to Avril Lavigne in a while. There was that period of time when she was regularly going to paparazzi-friendly clubs and spitting on anyone who tried to photograph her, but that was back in 2006. She’s since calmed down under douche Brody Jenner’s influence, whose stepmom taught him to kiss paparazzi ass for the sake of their family’s bank account. Avril has given a lot of obnoxious interviews, here’s a link to one that has a recap of several others, but the last glaringly bad interview that I can find from her is from 2008. I think she’s still a little tw*t, (you can substitute an a or an i there, your call) but she’s probably learned to keep her mouth shut.

Anyway, John Legend’s girlfriend, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen, is passing the time lately by talking smack on Twitter. She recently used a Seinfeld quote to say how insufferable Avril Lavigne is. It probably takes one to know one, but she strikes me as funny, unlike Avril:

The bikini-clad Thai and Norwegian model must think she’s LeAnn Rimes or something ‘cause she’s very vocal on her Twitter account, and she recently took to it to express her disdain for the punk rock pop star…

“If u told me I could have 1 kid, but it would be exactly like avril, I would choose to have a barren, sterile existence that ends when I die,” Teigen tweeted Sunday afternoon.

We smell a catfight a brewin’! But what gave Teigen, whose Twitter bio reads “i like food a lot and i like modeling a little and i like my dog and boyfriend somewhere in between,” such a visceral reaction to Lavigne?

The model tweeted, “Watching an avril lavigne interview. The second most painful thing I have watched today after ‘the goods.’ ”

Looks like Teigen has a problem with both Avril and The Goods star Jeremy Piven!

The latter we understand. But listen up, those aren’t the only celebs Teigen is twicking (Twitter plus picking) on!

I doubt Avril will respond to her. She doesn’t seem to run her own Twitter account and lets her PR people take care of it. That’s a good strategy for someone like Avril. I could easily see her picking fights with people on Twitter.

Let’s consider this question, though. It’s the Mildred Pierce question – would you rather have a child that treated you with contempt or not have one at all? That’s assuming that Avril is a snot bag to everyone, though. She could be nice to people when they have something to offer her. Plus moms usually love their kids no matter what. That’s the Mildred Pierce curse. You realize your child has turned into an ungrateful person who takes your love and throws it back in your face, but you can’t stop offering it and getting your heart broken.

Avril is a singer too, just like the little wretch that Evan Rachel Wood played on Mildred Pierce. Did any of you watch that series on HBO? I felt like it had a non-ending, like there needed to be more of a conclusion to the relationship between Veda and Mildred. The part where we finally got to see Wood’s merkin was awesome though, and without revealing any spoilers that was just a riveting scene. I’ve been dying to talk about that show, obviously, and it’s more interesting than this little twitter dramz between a model and a singer. From what little I know about Teigen, she may run the real risk of having a kid that’s a piece of work so it’s something she should consider. Like mother like daughter.
