Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are over

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are no longer together, according to a new cover story in US Magazine. These two were low-key with their relationship and were only spotted out together a few times in the past few months. Kate threw a big New Year’s party and Owen wasn’t there. It looks like Wilson is going back to his girl-chasing ways while Hudson is dating hot Irish singer Damien Rice. She must love those musicians.

When Kate Hudson, 27, threw a raucous New Year’s Eve party at her home in L.A.’s Pacific Palisades, guests such as Justin Timberlake, Ryan Phillippe and Eva Mendes showed up to party their way into 2007.

Conspicuously absent from the bash? Actor Owen Wilson, 38, whose torrid affair with Hudson resulted in the actress’ separation from husband of nearly six years, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.

“They have definitely cooled off,” a source close to the actress tells Us of Hudson and Wilson’s summer fling. “She adores him and wishes it had worked out. But it didn’t.”

Seconds a Wilson source, “Owen is calling girlfriends to tell them he is single.”

The actress, meanwhile, is back to dating musicians. She brought Irish singer Damien Rice (whose haunting song “The Blower’s Daughter” was the theme of 2004’s Closer) to a December 9 birthday party for director Brett Ratner. A Hudson pal assures, “She is exploring everything while trying to get over Owen.”

The article says that Kate’s ex, Chris Robinson, is dating a woman that has dated Matthew McConaughey. It also seems like Kate is on good terms with her ex. I read an article in The Enquirer a short time ago that claimed that they were renting houses next to each other in Australia while Kate was filming Fool’s Gold, and that they were visiting each other six times a day. Their three year old son, Ryder, must love being around his dad and mom together, and I bet their still-close relationship had something to do with Kate and Owen’s breakup.

More photos from Angelina Jolie’s Vogue spread

Some more photos from Angelina’s spread in Vogue have come out. She looks damn good to me.

One of the revelations in Angelina’s interview with People is that she’s the disciplinarian, and the Brad often gives in to the kids. She said the Maddox is a calm kid and that Zahara is “dramatic and creative and loud and charming.” Aww.

Thanks to Faded Youth for these pictures.

Angelina reveals her fear of intimacy, kinship with Brad in candid interview

Just when I thought that two Brad and Angelina stories was enough for the day I hear about Angelina’s incredibly candid interview in the upcoming issue of Vogue. She reveals how she felt a strong kinship with Brad while they were filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” and how she looked forward to going to work just to see him every day.

She said she once shook hands with Jennifer Aniston but never really sat down with her. She claimed she would be willing to have a long talk with Aniston, but that’s it’s up to her. She said that she and Brad are “legally bound” to their children and have both been married before so they don’t see a need to do it again.

Angelina said that she hardly trusts anyone at all, except maybe her mother and Brad. She also revealed that she’s not comfortable hugging or kissing people casually, but that she feels differently with her children:

“I think we were the last two people who were looking for a relationship. I certainly wasn’t,” she said. “I was quite content to be a single mom.”

The “Tomb Raider” babe admitted she was thrilled working with Pitt every day while shooting “Smith” in 2003 and 2004.

“Because of the film, we ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened. I think a few months in I realized, ‘God, I can’t wait to get to work,’ ” she said.

“Whether it was shooting a scene or arguing about a scene or gun practice or dance class or doing stunts - anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We just became kind of a pair…”

“And it took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean something more than we’d earlier allowed ourselves to believe,” Jolie said. “And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something that was going to take a lot of serious consideration.”

Jolie said she and Pitt remained “very, very good friends” after shooting “Smith.” They were resigned to staying nothing more than pals, Jolie said, until Pitt and Aniston announced their breakup in early 2005.

Pitt and Aniston filed for divorce that spring, amid rampant reports that the Hollywood hunk had his eye on Jolie the whole time.

Vogue didn’t directly press Jolie on whether she and Pitt fooled around behind Aniston’s back. But Jolie said she realized, early on, that she shared a deep, emotional bond with Pitt before they formally hooked up post-Aniston.

“Not as exciting as what a lot of people would like to believe,” Jolie said. “We spent a lot of time contemplating and thinking and talking about what we both wanted in life and realized that we wanted very, very similar things.”

“And then we just continued to take time. We remained very, very good friends - with this realization - for a long time,” she added.

“And then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do…”

Jolie said she hasn’t spoken to her dad, actor Jon Voight, for five years.

Although she keeps up with mom Marcheline Bertrand, Jolie said she doesn’t allow many people into her inner circle.

“I don’t trust anyone,” Jolie admitted.

“I don’t think it’s a good thing. This is going to make you think that maybe I should get some therapy, but trust is such a bizarre word. I’d like to say that I trust my mother, but I also don’t know if she might do something that she thinks is in my best interest.

Still, “I trust Brad will never do anything,” she said.

But after a few moments, Jolie then added, “I don’t know. I don’t trust anybody completely.”

Jolie said she won’t wear emotions on her sleeve - because it wouldn’t do her any good.

“It’s not going to accomplish anything to cry. It’s not going to help you to get a hug!” she said.

“I’m not a hugger. People make fun of me. It’s something that I have a hard time with. If someone hugs me, I hold my breath. Snuggling, cuddling, hugging, crying . . . all that stuff makes me very uncomfortable.”

Except when it comes to her kids, the star said.

“Oh, I love hugging my kids,” she quickly added. “It’s a different thing because you feel such a genuine grab from them.”

She’s very articulate and well spoken, but it’s hard to believe she was this candid in an interview. Why is she revealing so much? Maybe she thinks that if she gives people what they want, they’ll stop speculating so much about her. She’s trying to say that she hooked up with Brad only after he was separated from Aniston, and that he wasn’t really as well suited to Aniston as he was to her. People who think she broke up their marriage aren’t going to change their mind after hearing this. She may as well have kept quiet about it.

All this information about her intimacy issues might come back to bite her in the butt someday. If she doesn’t trust anyone, why does she trust us with so much information about her personal life?

The Brangelina family in Hello!

The beautiful Brangelina family, complete with their littlest one, is on the cover of Hello! Magazine’s December 19th issue. I love how Maddox looks protective of baby Shiloh. It’s nice to see her with the family as she’s not usually out with them in public. People wonder if there’s some kind of strategy on Brad and Angelina’s part to keep Shiloh out of the spotlight while bringing out Maddox and Zahara, but it could be also be a matter of convenience.

Angelina Jolie has said that she wants to have “many more” children, and that it makes her sad when people offer to take her children places she can never go as a famous celebrity, like Disneyland. She said she tries to give her family as much a normal life as possible:

“I’m very, very lucky. I love the different elements of my life. I love working abroad, and I love being with my kids and I love being with Brad,” Jolie, 31, said Friday at a press event for her movie The Good Shepherd. “I’d like to add many more children and many more obstacles and many more things to my life.”

Asked if she’d ever again work with Pitt, with whom she costarred in last year’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith, she replied with a laugh: “Who’s going to watch the children?”

Indeed, she chooses her films with Maddox, 5, Zahara, 23 months, and Shiloh, 6 months, in mind. “I don’t think that I’ve shot for more than seven weeks on a movie in two years,” she said. “I need to make sure that I have time with my kids.”

And she makes every effort to give her children a normal life, despite her own fame. “I’ve made a point to not let it change the way that I live my life, other than I carefully plan my holidays or where we go or where we stay or things like that to try to ensure some kind of quality of life that is private and nice for the kids. But we simply don’t let it affect us.”

She does admit, though, that there are challenges: “I think that the only time that it is hard is when the kids want to go somewhere and want to see something. I’ve had so many people offer to take my children to Disneyland or places that I can’t take them. And they don’t understand how upsetting that is.

“People offered to take my kids trick or treating or take my kids to whatever – things that they assume my kids can’t do. So we plan to find ways to do all of those things. There are worse problems and so we’re okay.”

Exclusive: Newsweek removes fake quote of Clooney ripping on Aniston

I read a quote from George Clooney that was sourced to a Newsweek interview in which he completely ripped on Jennifer Aniston’s prolonged non-relationship with Vince Vaughn. It sounded really harsh to me and I assumed it was a fake quote that was attributed to a source to make it seem real.

It began on the set of a film called “the break-up,” so let’s face it: the Vince Vaughn-Jennifer Aniston romance was doomed. It met its official, flack-certified demise last week, but it sounded over many times before.

The interview is easy to find on Newsweek’s website, and it’s basically a fluff piece in which Clooney talks about the frequent rumors that stars are getting married on his estate and reveals that his beauty routine consists of washing his face with plain soap and cutting his own hair. There’s nothing about Jennifer Aniston in the current article.

When I searched on some phrases from the quote I thought was fake, that same article came up in the Google cache with the statements about Aniston. The article was titled differently before the quote was removed, and was called “Newsmakers: George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston.” Now it’s just called “Newsmakers: George Clooney.”

At first I thought “Holy crap, George Clooney really hates Jennifer Aniston and tried to cover it up,” but it just looks like Newsweek had some trouble translating a print page to the web. That quote is not from Clooney at all, it’s a brief entertainment blurb that was tacked onto the end of the Clooney Q&A. The bold part is not worded like a question, and given the old title “Newsmakers: George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston,” it seems like it’s just another part of this entertainment section and was probably designed in the magazine with an inset box or put off to the side so you can tell it’s not part of the Clooney interview.

Here’s the cached Google version. There’s also a screenshot of it, because I’m ocd that way.
Here’s the actual version on Newsweek’s website, without that bit about Aniston.

You may read that quote around the web, and Clooney just didn’t say it. (Of course I was hoping Clooney really did say this, and had his people request that it be deleted from the article, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case.)

Hilary Duff and Joel Madden break up

Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden and teen sensation Hilary Duff are said to have cut ties. Madden told girls at a club in Chicago that he’s single now after Duff broke it off with him about a week and a half ago:

Madden made a guest DJ appearance at Enclave on Wednesday night and openly talked about how he is currently single. Madden told clubgoers Duff broke up with him about ten days ago and that their eight-year age difference was causing problems. (Madden is 27, Duff is 19.)

Hilary revealed in a Jane magazine interview that not everything was well in her relationship with Joel. She said that the paparazzi help them make up during fights as they don’t want pictures taken when they’re angry:

She says, “If we’re out some place, we could totally be fighting, but we’ll be looking at each other (smiling) because there’s a camera right there.
“Then we end up forgetting we’re in a fight, because we’re laughing since it’s not a real thing to do, and we’re both such real people.”

Hilary and Joel were dating just over a year, having confirmed their relationship in the summer of 2005.

Here are pictures of Hilary in Teen Vogue, courtesy of Oh-Hilary.com. Her teeth do look a little smaller to me, but it’s hard to tell.

Courtney Love dumped Gavin Rossdale just before he met Gwen Stefani

Courtney Love may be sober now apart from the chain smoking, but she remains scattered and deluded, of that there is no doubt. In this interview with British Pop magazine, in which she bears her sloppy soul and body for some publicity for her scrapbook memoir, she reveals that somehow her daughter Frances Bean turned out ok despite having her for a mother. She said that Frances has never kissed a guy or tried drugs, that she refuses to get involved with projects related to her late father, Kurt Cobain, and that she’s a “square,” a term Courtney uses with pride.

Courtney also claims that Gavin Rossdale sent her a diamond ring in 1996 after she had dated him for about eight months. She says she was hanging out doing chores for Edward Norton at the time, and that she got Norton to date her by tossing Rossdale’s ring into the river. She seems to suggest that Rossdale would never have been with Gwen Stefani if she didn’t dump him first. She states that she doesn’t see Gwen Stefani as an “enemy or a problem,” but clearly she does or she wouldn’t phrase it that way:

Edward [Norton] was a tough one, too. It was about eight months of me pretty much going grocery shopping for him every day before we dated. Nobody knows this but I dated Gavin Rossdale for eight months and on Valentine’s Day 1996 or ‘7 I did not go and see Bush play in Little Rock, Arkansas. Me and Edward were in Memphis and I got sent a pretty diamond ring from Gavin. Not an engagement ring but it was… something. I said to Edward, “If I throw this ring that Gavin. Not an engagement ring but it was.. something. I said to Edward, “If I throw this ring that Gavin gave me into the Mississippi river, do you think that we’ll go out?” He turned to me and said, “There’s a slim chance… But if you do not throw it in the river there is no chance.”

So you did it? “Of course I did it. Gavin is such a gentleman. Nobody gives him credit, but he didn’t kiss Gwen Stefani until the next day that I didn’t show up in Little Rock. Isn’t that a sweet story? I adore Gavin. I miss him, actually. That’s one person who’s not in my life now because he’s married to Gwen and whatever. I don’t consider Gwen an enemy or a problem, she’s just… It is what it is.”

[From Pop Magazine print edition, Winter 2006]

Courtney goes on to tell some pointless story about how she told Gwen Stefani that she would write lyrics for her the one time she met her by accident at a studio or something. Somehow Courtney was nude sitting there with a woman in her panties when she met Gwen, but supposedly they weren’t doing anything sexual with each other. I didn’t really get it.

Courtney said Mel Gibson got her to go to rehab by camping outside her hotel room, and claims she knew that Gibson would get busted for DUI before it happened.

She attributes all her success in life to Buddhist chanting, and says that all the successful people she knows are spiritual.

She was in a rough relationship with Steve Coogan when this interview was given, but has since broken up with him. She tried to “save” him, but says that she “cannot have people that take drugs in my life.” She was also linked with comic Russell Brand recently, but claims they’re just friends after meeting up one night.

She looks decent nude, but seems to have put on a few lbs since this photoshoot was taken. Even if she was super hot, who would put up with her shit? She’s a mess. At least the drugs were a good excuse.

You can read the Pop article if your eyes are good at ONTD.

The full size pictures available from the thumbnails below are unblurred nudes and are NSFW at all.

Paris Hilton Role Model

paris-hilton-seventeen.jpeg
Paris Hilton is the new poster girl against drunk driving. Stop laughing, I’m not kidding!
She has a full page P.S.A. in Seventeen magazine.

Good job Paris! While this is a good cause, I wonder how seriously the message will be taken by teens. Paris doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to alcohol related incidents.

Lindsay Lohan’s GQ Magazine Photoshoot video

This photoshoot video for the issue where GQ named her their biggest celebrity car crash includes riveting quotes from Lohan set to music. Watch how willingly she lets the cameraman pose her on all fours. Note that I did not run her latest vag slip as I’m pretty much over her hairless kitty.

Maddox’s eyes Photoshopped open on the cover of Star

As we mentioned yesterday, Brad is said to have “big news” for his family in Missouri during his upcoming holiday visit with Angelina and their three children. This could mean anything, but Star magazine suggests that Angelina is pregnant again, and that she’s sporting a bump. This rumor was circulating earlier, and I’m not buying it until I see more bump evidence.

The cover of Star features a recent picture of the famous couple out in India. As lifetimeis4u at Oh No They Didn’t! points out, a sleeping Maddox’s eyes in the original picture have been Photoshopped open so that he looks awake!

Thanks to popbytes and Just Jared for the photos.
