Dr. Phil and his wife, Robyn, were in the front row at a George Michael concert in LA on Wednesday night when Michael took the opportunity to point him out to the crowd. He mentioned that it might be a cruel thing to do, but he went ahead and did it anyway. Michael told the crowd that Dr. Phil looked “miserable,” and people starting booing. When the TV “doctor’s” scowling face was shown on the Jumbotron the booing got louder:

About midway into the first hour of his performance, Michael took the opportunity between songs to chuckle to himself and murmur teasingly, “…No this is too mean.” He then smiled wickedly and proceeded to announce that television therapist Dr. Phil McGraw was present in the audience. After a smattering of applause some of the crowd started to boo. Only spurring the singer on, he mentioned that Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin, seemed to be having a good time but, “…in the sea of smiling faces, he’s looked miserable for the last hour.”

The house camera then managed to get an shot of Dr. Phil, indeed looking on with a scowl and more than a little bit non-plussed. The crowd proceeded to boo even louder.

With an impish look, Michael looked right at the cranky Texan and offered, “You should see someone about that!” With thunderous applause, Michael went on pleasing the rest of the ecstatic crowd for the rest of his 140-minute concert.

Dr. Phil and Robyn are featured this week on the cover of my favorite gossip magazine, The National Enquirer, which declares “Dr. Phil’s wife kicks him out!” The accompanying story isn’t that explosive though, and just says they’re having problems. Robyn is said to have kicked Phil out when they had an argument about some new plastic surgery she wanted to have. She was trying to talk to Phil about her concerns about it, but all he wanted to know was how much it was going to cost him. She kicked him out supposedly, but the story doesn’t specify for how long and he’s now back at home.

Dr. Phil is desperate to save his marriage, the Enquirer claims, and has offered Robyn a producer’s credit on “The Dr. Phil Show” along with saying he’ll do whatever it takes to make things work. It sounds like that includes sitting through George Michael concerts, although D-Listed reports that Phil and Robyn left the show soon after Michael publicly called them out.

There was a wedding in Auckland a few years ago on the same night as a Ricky Martin concert. The connection? Ricky did two shows that night, one of which was at the wedding. Ricky was rumoured to have caught a helicopter into the island wedding, swivelled his hips for a song or two, and then hopped back away on his helicopter.

This morning I read the news that George Michael was found slumped over in his car with drugs, and figured that it was mistakenly re-published from the old story back in Februrary, since it was under very similar circumstances. I was wrong:

Back in February, Michael was arrested passed out in his car and was charged with possession of “class c” drugs. It turns out he only had pot and poppers and got off with just a police caution.

In April Michael hit three parked cars in what he called a “tricky hill maneuver,” and drove off without notifying the drivers. Many people assumed the incident was drug-related.

In mid-May, British tabloid News of the World busted George asleep at a traffic light while listening to an iPod. The photos from the incident reveal that he was really fucked up.

Then in late July News of the World caught Michael wanking off a pot-bellied 58 year-old guy in a park. They interviewed the unemployed guy Michael hooked up with, and he said that he had some big sexual “secret” that Michael was open to. shudder.

George Michael is in the midst of a comeback concert tour, and word is that he still can perform. Many people were offended by a giant blow-up George Bush he trotted out on stage that opened up to reveal an English bulldog giving it a blowjob, but many other people just thought it was an asanine stunt.

Michael’s hot partner, Kenny Goss, has stuck with him through all of his scandals. Kenny and Michael were set to tie the knot in an extravagent Elton-John style gay wedding at their tenth anniversary this summer. Rumor had it that Kenny called off the wedding after Michael got caught with that nasty old dude in the park, but Michael said he bought Kenny a nearly $2 million anniversary gift to make up, and that the wedding was still on. While Kenny may be sticking by his man, he sure isn’t marrying him. They were supposed to have a ceremony before Michael’s tour, and we haven’t heard anything about it.

George Michael will get off easily again for this latest offense. If he only had pot he probably won’t even do community service. If I learned anything from paying attention to the Pete Doherty debacle it’s that the British legal system isn’t too hard on drug offenders.

Fresh on the heels of getting caught wanking a 58 year-old pot-bellied dude in a park, it was said that George Michael and his longterm partner, American Kenny Goss, have called off their planned gay wedding. The wedding was to take place around their tenth anniversary, sometime before the end of the Summer.

After the photos came out in Britain’s News of the World of a disheleved and surprised Michael and his one-time hookup, umemployed Norman Kirtland, Michael’s partner defended him, saying that they were putting the incident behind them:

Reports had the two cancelling their planned wedding, saying that they are “reassessing their relationship,” but another story has Micheal insisting the wedding is still on, and making it obvious why hot Goss has stayed with his cheating ass:

Michael has been embroiled in scandal for several months, after being caught with pot and poppers in his car back in March, and photographed passed out at a stoplight in May. He’ll need to get treatment for his sex and drug addiction if he wants to “pull off” a gruelling 50-date tour.

Singer George Michael was caught trawling for sex in a public place yet again. He was forced to come out in 1998 after being caught in a sting by an attractive policeman in a public bathroom in Los Angeles. He made fun of the incident in the video for his song “Outside” and talked about his shame on Oprah. Now that he’s been caught having sex with a nasty old guy he’s not going to play it off so easily.

News of the World followed the poor guy that George fondled back to his squalid flat in Brighton. They interviewed the guy and he gave the sordid details:

When confronted by The News of The World snoops, who were either in the park for some random fun themselves or who routinely trail George Michael, George said “Are you gay? No? Then f*** off! This is my culture!”

That’s like saying it’s heterosexual culture to hook up with prostitutes, isn’t it?

They were taken just after the troubled singer had to be woken up after blocking traffic for several minutes at a light. When he did get going again, he weaved all over the road and drove over the median:

This is the third time Michael has had car trouble. He was arrested at the end of February after being found passed out in his car. He was charged with posession of marjuana at the time and got off with a police caution. About a month ago, Michael was caught trying to leave the scene after hitting three parked cars.

It’s too bad he was let off with a caution for his February arrest, because he should have been sent to rehab. Maybe this latest incident will be a wakeup call for Michael.

This sounds like a slap on the wrist for Michael, who was found passed out in his car in London at the end of February. Police found several drugs in his car at the time along with an assortment of sex toys and porn.

The article says that Michael may have trouble getting a Visa to the states now that he has an arrest record, but it sounds as if he got off easy.

Obviously if this is true, George Michael is not sober and that’s a shame. Otherwise this is not a case of impaired driving. He wasn’t driving, he was just passed out in a car. We can’t assume that he drove to that point, although it’s possible. He may have visited a friend or a bar in the area and tried to sleep it off in his car. It’s a bit damning that he was “slumped over the wheel,” but he was parked and you can’t assume anything.

Also, he’s out on bail now and he’s surely embarassed, but not much will come of this case apart from bad publicity, a potential stint in rehab, and another teary-eyed confession on Oprah.
