In what now seems like a daily occurrence, Michael Lohan has released yet another tape of Dina Lohan talking about how screwed up their daughter is. Previously, we heard Dina telling Michael that Lindsay needed to go to rehab, and that Lindsay was drinking and taking Adderall. Today’s release is in the same vein – but Dina releases some information that had only been hinted out previously. According to Dina (who, for the record, was most likely being taped by Michael without her knowledge), Lindsay was dating Heath Ledger at the time of Heath’s accidental overdose. This, according to Dina, “f-cked her up” and Dina is afraid that Lindsay will overdose much in the same way Heath did. You can hear the tape at Radar here, and here’s Radar’s report:

In a shocking revelation, Dina Lohan drops the bombshell that her daughter Lindsay was secretly dating Heath Ledger when he died and his death devastated her. In the explosive recorded audio tape of a phone conversation between Dina and Michael Lohan, Dina says that Ledger and Lindsay had been dating at the time of his tragic death in January of 2008.

“And she was dating Heath when he died,” Dina reveals to Michael. “I don’t know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, ok?”

Dina told Michael about the relationship because she was afraid for Lindsay’s life too: “Because when she’s drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking.”

She said that the actor’s death was a terrible shock to Lindsay. “That f—-d her up,” Dina says.

In the 2008 call, Dina discusses how desperate the situation was for her daughter. “She cannot be alone,” Dina tells Michael. “When she sleeps here she sleeps with me… she has fears from being little and what you did to us.”

Dina and Michael’s nasty divorce has been something Lindsay has said had a negative affect on her life. Dina defends Lindsay’s assistant Jenni Muro, telling Michael that Muro was going to save Lindsay.

In the calm but passionate conversation Dina told Michael that Lindsay needed someone with her at all times to control her, and her assistant Muro provided that help as did another assistant named Laurie.

Lindsay’s mother was also worried about her relationship with Samantha Ronson, telling Michael that she thought Lindsay should walk away but it wasn’t that easy of a decision for her daughter. “It’s very easy for a rational person to say. But for an irrational person who has a problem with her DNA and alcohol and Adderall and asthma and every other things she’s got wrong with her.”

The Heath and Lindsay rumors have been around since before his death, honestly. I remember hearing about Heath and Lindsay partying together shortly before his death, I remember Lindsay talking about Heath in cryptic terms immediately after his death. Michael has even said that he fears Lindsay will die “like her close friend Heath Ledger.” So, would it be a huge surprise to learn that Heath and Lindsay were probably sleeping together? Not really. Although I think at that point in his life, Heath had several girlfriends, you know? Honestly, the quote I found more interesting was this one: “When she sleeps here she sleeps with me… she has fears from being little and what you did to us.” Uh… Dina, if Michael is such an abusive son of a bitch (which I’ll buy), then why are you spilling all to him over the phone?

Michael Lohan is continuing his quest to bring daughter Lindsay down. And really, at this point, that’s all I can call it: a quest. Not to help her, not to save her, but to bring her down to rock bottom. Which is very different than Lindsay hitting rock bottom on her own. Any father- even a really, really stupid one – who actually wanted to help his drowning daughter would do just about anything other than what Michael’s doing. Michael is supposedly saving his daughter by releasing all sorts of mortifyingly embarrassing (and mortifyingly personal) phone calls he’s taped with and about Lindsay, including her drugged out plea for help.

Now Michael’s given (probably sold) a tape of a phone call he recorded with Lindsay’s assistant, Jenni Muro. The call was made sometime in 2008 from Muro in Brooklyn to Michael in Long Island. Muro references having to relocate to New York for Lindsay’s “Ugly Betty” guest shoot. Lohan’s character appeared now and again over the course of two seasons, so it’s not possible to say exactly when it probably happened, but in late October of 2008 it was reported that the cast and crew were sick of dealing with her and were limiting her episodes, so it was probably before then. So the conversation is at least a year old.

In another explosive recorded audio tape obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Lindsay Lohan’s assistant Jenni Muro reveals her fear that Lindsay was killing herself.

The taped phone call is between Jenni Muro and Michael Lohan. In it, Jenni angrily tells Michael her fears about Lindsay’s fragile state and expresses her opinion about the destructiveness of Lindsay’s then-romantic relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson.

“I am trying to save your daughter’s life every day,” Jenni tells Michael on the tape.

Showing the depths of her fear that Lindsay will harm herself, Jenni tells Michael that she wants to stop working for Lindsay “because I don’t want it on my watch either.”

Michael has publicly voiced his concerns for Lindsay’s life, and says he is trying to get her to admit that she has a prescription drug problem and get help before it is too late.

In the 2008 call placed from Brooklyn to Michael Lohan’s Long Island home, Muro also voices her disgust that she was forced to relocate to New York for Lindsay’s role on Ugly Betty.

Muro says: “I get a 5% commission on this entire TV show and it’s sick and disgusting and I’m here and I give up my boyfriend and my dog and my parents and my new place in LA and everything so that your daughter doesn’t kill herself, ok?”

Jenni also tells Michael that Lindsay’s relationship with Samantha Ronson was “unhealthy.” She said that Lindsay’s priorities were only Samantha, not work and not her family. She says Samantha was her “absolute addiction.”

All we can hear in the actual recording is Muro’s voice. There are muffled parts, and there is absolutely not a peep from Michael Lohan. At several points she’s clearly responding to something he’s said, so either Michael or Radar deleted his parts of the conversation. I find that very suspicious and strange. They did the same thing with a phone call between Michael and ex-wife Dina last week. It was all Dina talking about Lindsay and trying to get her into rehab, and none of Michael’s words. So no one can use anything else he says against him. That says a lot right there about who Michael’s really looking out for.

If you listen to the conversation, it’s clear that Muro is not randomly bitching and complaining, she’s defending herself against Michael’s accusations that she’s not doing enough for Lindsay (or for him), and that she’s trying to keep Michael from Lindsay. Over and over again Muro has to state that Lindsay has told her clearly that she does not want to see Michael, she does not want to see Dina, etc. Muro also says that the only person she wants to see is Samantha. It’s clear that Lindsay doesn’t love Samantha, she’s obsessed with her. Muro also tells Michael she thinks that’s because Lindsay’s never known love before, and now she can’t get enough of it. It’s a total dig at both Lohan parents, because she doesn’t say Lindsay’s never been in love before, but that she’s never known love before.

Muro never once defends Lindsay. She makes it clear that Lindsay is her boss and she is doing what she’s told and communicating her messages for her. She also makes it really clear that she loathes talking to and being harassed by Michael Lohan. I don’t know this woman but I feel sorry for her – she sounds immensely frustrated. It appears that Jenni is still Lohan’s assistant – Radar doesn’t refer to her as “former” and there’s nothing I can find about her being fired. Well, except for the fact that when Lohan’s last assistant quit, she stole a car and chased the girl’s mom through the streets of L.A., landing in jail and rehab. There’s no way she gets paid enough to deal with just Lindsay alone, let alone the rest of the Lohans. It does seem like – though she’s doing Lindsay’s bidding, which is her job – she’s very smart and with-it. Which is ultimately good for Lindsay.

When is Michael going to learn that he can’t embarrass Lindsay into rehab? All he’s doing is making sure he never sees his daughter again. This is seriously the kind of shi*t you never forgive.

Jon Gosselin was photographed doing daddy duty in Pennsylvania over the weekend. The father of eight pulled a Britney and put one of his sextuplets on his lap without a helmet as he drove around his property on a huge ATV. Safety advocates are up in arms over this, and say that children under six (the sextuplets are five) should never be on an ATV and that two people shouldn’t ride an ATV because it’s unsafe. What I want to know is, how can a six year old be expected to safely drive a four-wheeler? (We don’t have the rights to those photos, but you can see them on Radar Online):

Jon Gosselin loves his ATV but he should never, ever have his little kids on it with him. That’s according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

According to the CPSC, “Children under 6 should never be on an ATV — either as a driver or a passenger.” The Gosselin twins are nine but the sextuplets are just five.

The Commission also points out that “ATVs are designed to carry only one person…..drivers must be able to shift their weight freely in all directions, depending on the situation and terrain…..Passengers can make it difficult for drivers to control the ATV.” Most frightening, the Commission says that “Children are involved in about one-third of all ATV-related deaths and hospital emergency room injuries…”

Even just driving solo on his large Wernersville, PA property, Jon should be following certain safety guidelines including always wearing a helmet, gloves and boots.

Jon is definitely not the brightest bulb, but maybe he’ll think twice about his kids’ safety now that he’s been publicly called out.

The court case against Jon by TLC for breach of contract is proceeding, and Michael Lohan is among the witnesses subpoenaed. Michael tells RadarOnline that he’ll gladly testify against Jon about all the deals he was trying to work out with him in violation of this TLC contract. Michael previously talked smack about how Jon cut him out of deals they were working on with people he introduced him to. You know Lohan has an axe to grind, and that he won’t hesitate to make it all public. Among the deals that Michael said he tried to arrange for Jon, in direct violation of his contract with TLC, was a Nutrisystem endorsement that fell through. Lohan claims “I was negotiating a deal for Nutrisystem but when the negative press came out Nutrisystem ran for the hills.” Yeah, I’m so sure they were willing to work with Michael Lohan on behalf of Jon Gosselin. It’s not like either party can be trusted as far as you could throw them.

In a bizarre photo-op that somehow makes sense, Jon Gosselin and Levi Johnston were seen together in matching pea coats in Times Square on Sunday night. The NY Daily News has more on the strange meet up, and supposedly the two just ran into each other in NY. Johnston had a scheduled interview with “The Insider” to take place in Times Square and Gosselin, who has appeared on the show in the past, was just along for the ride. I hope Johnston doesn’t introduce Gosselin to his contacts at Playgirl. Maybe if Gosselin grew a beard he would appeal to a certain demographic among their readership.

Oh, Michael Lohan. I want to kick you in the face. He just has no idea how to be a parent. Especially to an adult. Parenting is tough with kids, but when your children are grown (but still acting like kids) it can add a lot of challenges. You can’t force them to do what you want, and you can’t punish them. Since Michael Lohan can’t make Lindsay have a relationship with him or get off drugs, he’ll just take it to the streets. Well, take it to Radar. And Twitter, and anyone else who’ll listen. We’re supposed to believe this is genuine concern, by the way. Filming clips for Radar intended for Lindsay. I’m sure it has nothing to do with attention for himself.

In the very public Lohan Family War, Michael Lohan is adamantly defending his decision to release tape recordings of Lindsay’s phone calls with him. In an exclusive and brutally candid interview with RadarOnline.com, Michael accuses Lindsay of lying about the seriousness of her situation and the relationship she has with her father. “Mom was saying it’s not dire, but it is,” Michael pleaded to Lindsay.

Another explosive accusation Michael levels against his family is that Lindsay learned to lie from her own mother Dina. “She was taught by her mother, unfortunately,” he said to RadarOnline.com about Lindsay’s lies. There certainly isn’t any love lost between Lindsay’s parents.

Michael said that he released the tapes because he fears for Lindsay’s life — he even emotionally addresses his daughter in the interview. “I’m concerned. I love you,” Michael says. Defending himself he stated “I’m tired of being called a liar.”

Michael also pleads with his fragile daughter to take responsible actions for her life. “Please go to a therapist,” he said. “I want Lindsay to get help.”

Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley tells RadarOnline.com that Lindsay wants to go after her father and that they are “exploring all options both civilly, and criminally. We are talking to legal authorities in New York and Los Angeles to determine if any laws were broken.”

You have to watch the video and see and hear Michael to really understand why it’s absolutely necessary I punch him in the face. Normally I go with something a little more vague and gentle, like “I wanna kick him in the ear,” or “I’d like to step on his stomach.” But whenever I do that I’m always thinking how I’d really love punch that person in the face. And with Michael Lohan, I’ve just got to say it. He needs to be punched. A lot. I’ll give the requisite disclaimer that you shouldn’t. But oh my God would I understand it. Just saying.

If that all weren’t enough, Michael also says that God is taking Lindsay’s career away from her. You remember that part of the Bible, where God is talking to that douchebaggy guy and is all, “Thou shouldn’t snort things up thou’s nose. And if thou doest, I shall smite you with straight-to-DVD film roles.” (That was a little bit of old school God and a little bit of Shakespeare).

After the first tape was released, Lindsay tweeted that her father was a “loser.” On her Twitter site yesterday, in an apparent reference to her mom, LiLo tweeted, “She blames herself for staying w/him for so long, I’d beg her not to leave b/c he always threatened to kill her if she did.”

But Michael told The Post’s Rita Delfiner, “That’s a lie. I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that. Now I’m going to release more recordings that prove everything she is saying is nothing more than a bunch of lies.

“No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her,” Michael continued. “Because she’s forsaken everything He’s given her and she’s done nothing but misuse all the gifts she’s given.”

Oh the sanctimony. It is perfectly God-like and Christian to escalate things in a childish war of retaliation with your own daughter. But if she says things about you that you don’t like (and which may well be true), then God’s taking her career away.

You just know this isn’t going to end well. “Well” would be Lindsay going into rehab. And Michael falling down an elevator shaft or something. But the way this drama is escalating, it feels inevitable that pretty soon we reach the climax. I think everyone can see it but the Lohans.

Radar got a hold of a snippet of a phone conversation between Dina and Michael Lohan that took place in September of 2008. In it, Dina is talking about how she’s tried to get Lindsay into rehab but Lindsay absolutely refused. In fact Dina says Lindsay punched her in the face and kicked her out of the car. While at first I found that shocking, now that I think about it, it fits. We know Lindsay goes into hysterical rages, we’ve seen it with her fights with Samantha Ronson. We know she absolutely doesn’t think she has a problem. And I know most addicts think that way, but somehow Lindsay seems worse about it to me. Maybe because she’s so public.

Dina seems upset in the conversation but not overly-so. It sounds very truthful. Dina’s gotten a lot of crap for the way she over-protects and defends Lindsay. It’s good to hear that just because she does that publicly and doesn’t disclose negative and private things about her daughter like ex-husband Michael does, that doesn’t mean she really believes Lindsay is fine.

Dina continues, “She’s really sad and really hurt and really…despondent. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18…she did. I couldn’t leave these other three (Dina’s three other kids with Michael) to go get her and it was, like, a mess.”

There’s an interesting part in the recording that Radar didn’t use in the article where Dina says, “She’s really sad and really hurt and really… despondent, you know? She’s been through a lot Michael, she’s just a little girl. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18…” She’s just a little girl. Lindsay was 22 at the time. But the way she’s acted is very much like a self-centered little kid at times. I almost wonder if Dina meant that Lindsay was emotionally a little girl. But when you hear the recording, Dina has a lot of empathy and sadness in her voice when she says that, which makes me think she feels badly for Lindsay. Which isn’t really any help, because Dina’s made so many excuses for her.

I cannot imagine how those confrontations with her mother – literally punching her in the face – wouldn’t make Lindsay realize she’s out of control. Even if she were under the influence of something, wouldn’t she be incredibly upset with herself the first moment she was just a teensy-weensy sober? Maybe that’s part of why she’s escalated since this phone call over a year ago. Must avoid all negative emotions.

This is the only time I’ve ever had a little sympathy for Dina Lohan. I don’t think she’s anything less than a horrible parent. But, it is good to hear that she realizes Lindsay has huge problems. Just because she doesn’t release super private information about her child like Michael does doesn’t mean she thinks Lindsay is fine. It means she’s appropriately keeping private things private. Still, I do think they’re going to have to go the Jamie Spears route, and take control of Lindsay legally. The problem with that is they still can’t force her to be successful in rehab, since Lindsay has to want that for herself. But maybe they can at least keep her alive until she gets to that place.

Yesterday we heard a pretty sad and disturbing phone call from Lindsay Lohan to her dad, asking for some kind of help. In our coverage, I neglected to mention that Lindsay’s dad Michael threatened last week to release the tape in retaliation to his ex wife’s claim that he was lying about Lindsay’s prescription drug addiction. The truth is that I try not to pay that much attention to the guy and am embarrassed that I missed that detail. Michael said “If Dina and her cohorts want to continue lying, I could [keep exposing her] for a year – on so many different subjects. My lawyers told me to keep every single conversation – and I did.”

In the tape, Lindsay sobs uncontrollably and says that her Mom told her she was worse off than her dad was. It’s kind of clear she’s talking about her drug addiction, although she doesn’t specifically say that.

Lindsay’s lawyer tells Radar Online she’s trying to figure out if Michael violated the law by releasing the tape. If so, it sounds like Lindsay is going to go after him legally. She’s already said to be seeking a restraining order against him, although I haven’t seen confirmation that it’s gone through:

Chapman Holley tells RadarOnline.com that she is “exploring all options both civilly, and criminally. We are talking to legal authorities in New York and Los Angeles to determine if any laws were broken.”

Chapman Holley goes on to say, “This was a private phone conversation, and if this conversation took place in California then it was a violation of the law.”

Michael Lohan has been publicly saying that Lindsay needs help and is in a fragile state. He says he released this tape in an attempt to prove his point and to disprove those around Lindsay who are saying she is fine.

Lindsay has taken to her Twitter to deny that the call is recent along with expressing her outrage that her dad would release it. She wrote: “fathers such a loser & those recordings are from years ago. To release personal things is foul enough, but to edit them. I used to think That he needed the book for dummies on learning how to be a father. Haha-he’s needs the book for dummies on HOW TO BE A MAN.”

Lindsay definitely needs help. Look at her – her pupils are pinpricks and she looks strung out. (Very small pupils like Lindsays are indicative of opiate use, often prescription drugs like Oxycontin. Large dilated pupils show stimulant use like cocaine.*)

Her dad is just pushing her further away with these obnoxious tactics. He name dropped Heath Ledger in an interview and said she’d be dead in a year for God’s sake – he went on Maury! If anything Lindsay’s family, with her in-denial mom and her in-your-face self-righteous famewhore dad, just goes to show how she ended up so messed up.

The girl is just 23. She’s at an age where she should know better though, definitely, and she’s done so many awful things that it’s hard to know whether she’ll ever realize that she’s not the center of the universe. Getting clean and sober would be a start. I doubt she’ll give up her crutch while she’s fighting her dad over this, though.

Radar has a recording of a very troubled phone call from Lindsay Lohan in which she slurs her words so heavily that it’s nearly impossible to tell what she’s saying. They include handy captions on the video, and she’s talking about how she needs help while sobbing heavily. She sounds really pitiful, and doesn’t make much sense at first, even with the words spelled out. Then she goes on to say that it “No one cares about me… It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.” I would feel sorry for her if she wasn’t such a narcissistic person who hadn’t pissed away every opportunity she’s been given.

Given the fact that the phone call is to her dad, who has been blabbing for weeks about how he’d like to stage an intervention for Lindsay, we can assume that he’s the one who sold her out to the press. I wonder when he recorded that call and how much he got paid for it. It hardly seems worth the money since it just confirms what people already know. Michael Lohan is probably sitting somewhere with those crazy eyes of his, rubbing his hands together at how much money he made proving his point. Sadly he betrayed his daughter even more thoroughly than he had before, and she probably won’t talk to him for a while. He’s not going to “save” her like this, but it’s not like that was ever his intention:

“Mommy says that I’m worse than you were,” Lindsay can be heard crying to her dad. “And she’s defending…She doesn’t back me…she doesn’t stand by me.”

Lindsay continues, “No one cares about me. They don’t, by the way. It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.”

It’s like Lindsay’s just figuring out that the world doesn’t revolve around her and she can’t handle it. Radar says this is “the first of several” recorded phone calls so does that mean they bought a package deal from Lindsay’s dad and will they be leaking her calls piecemeal over the next few days and weeks? This is such a mess.

These are all photos from Lindsay Lohan’s trip to Morocco over the weekend. I think this was probably a paid appearance at “the grand opening night of the Kerzner Mazagan Beach Resort”. Sadly, this kind of thing is the only kind of paying gig Lindsay gets anymore. She looks drugged out, but not as horribly as she did in Paris just a month ago.

Before she left for Morocco, Lindsay Lohan’s crack tweets moved from raging against (off-again?) girlfriend Samantha Ronson to raging against her father. She detoured for a moment to send out some cracked-out Twitter-denials that she hooked up with model (and Samantha Ronson look-alike) Petey Wright, but mostly it’s been about her dad. Here’s the most coherent version (thanks to the Huffington Post) – these are in the order she typed them, so it’s a bit more readable:

The tweets aren’t as rage-filled and incoherent as the ones directed to Sam, so maybe Lindsay wasn’t as coked up when she wrote them? Or maybe she isn’t really mad? No, she’s mad. Because Dina Lohan gave Page Six a piece of her mind about Michael Lohan and the whole situation. Dina calls Michael “horrific” and says that she and the kids are “afraid he’s spiraling out of control.” Um… wait, Michael is the one spiraling out of control? And not Lindsay?

Lindsay Lohan has teamed up with mom Dina to threaten “loose cannon” dad Michael with jail over his outbursts that Lindsay is killing herself with drugs.

Dina says Lindsay is applying for a restraining order following Michael’s statement that he wanted to kidnap her and force her into rehab. And Dina, who claims the family is afraid of him, is ready to send her ex to jail for nonpayment of child support.

Following reports that Michael plans to go on TV and play her phone messages about Lindsay, Dina told Page Six: “He’s getting a cease-and-desist letter [from us], so that’s not going to happen. If it’s something personal about your child, you don’t go public with it.”

“He is hurting Lindsay. It breaks my heart. She’s like, ‘Mommy, when is he ever going to stop?’ ” Dina said. “He is also six months behind in his child support. On Monday, we will file a violation order, and if he doesn’t pay, he’ll go to jail.”

“He’s getting paid for these shows he’s doing talking about Lindsay,” Dina said. “He’s flying all over the country and not paying for his other three children he’s hurting every time he goes on television. It is horrific that a father could do this. We are afraid he’s spiraling out of control. [Daughter] Ali is scared and will be getting an order of protection. Lindsay is getting an order in California and in New York.”

“He’s desperate, he’s running out of options because none of his children is talking to him. Doors are closing for him, and he’s getting a little nervous, which makes us nervous. We’re scared. But I believe in karma, and his leash is getting tighter,” Dina said. “He just needs to zip his mouth.”

Michael and his lawyer, Anthony Grandinette, did not return calls for comment.

Look, I hate Michael Lohan passionately. He’s an emotional and physical abuser, a fraud, a bastard, a toxic parrot, a nihilist, a narcissist who thinks everything is about him, and I think he’s just really, really dumb and gross. All of that being said, Michael’s not totally wrong about Lindsay, even if he is going about this whole faux-intervention in completely the wrong way. Lindsay is a f-cking wreck, and Dina’s obliviousness and enabling aren’t helping Lindsay any more or less than Michael’s general wrongness. But, in the end, does it really matter? Lindsay is an adult. She’s responsible for her own bullsh-t, no matter how crazy her parents are.

Michael Lohan has taken his “Lindsay Lohan is an addict, now pay attention to me” tour to the British press. In a new interview in Grazia (story via NYDN), Michael says that Lindsay could be “dead in a year…It could be a year, a month, a week – who knows? She has a plethora of medicine you can’t mix and can’t drink with.” Michael goes on: “She needs long-term rehab. I fear the worst. Look at Elvis, Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger – who was a close friend of hers.” Ah, yes. Because he cares about his daughter’s health so much, he still wants to make sure that her “death” is mentioned in the same breath as Heath Ledger’s. Because that’s not cheap, disgusting or tawdry at all. This family is so gross.

Meanwhile, Monday night Lindsay gave Radar an interview about her plans for the future. Of course, they’re not long-term plans, because we know Lindsay and her “allergies” don’t make long-term plans. Lindsay’s plan is for the next few weeks – she’s going to visit India. As part of a BBC documentary team making a film about child trafficking. Maybe the BBC is just going to see if Lindsay is going to bring 15-year-old Ali and accidentally “traffic” her for some “allergy medicine”:

Lindsay Lohan is committed to turning over a new leaf. The actress recently revealed that she will be headed to India on a charity trip.

“I’m going to India. Actually before Thanksgiving hopefully,” Lohan said at the Rock the Kasbah event in Los Angeles on Monday night. Though her mother Dina is nervous about the international jaunt, Lohan is set on going: “I think it’s important to have a voice when you have one.” She also revealed that she will be part of a BBC documentary about child trafficking in India.

Lindsay is going on the trip with Interface which is an organization that aims to leverage the power of business and celebrity for the benefit of high-impact charities.

“Lindsay has been a great supporter of Interface,” founder Scott Lazerson told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Next week we’re working on the launch of the My Bag Equals campaign. Lindsay’s donation of a Chanel bag equals feeding 1, 000 families.”

Poor India. Seriously, those Indians aren’t going to know what hit them when Hurricane Crackhead comes to town. They’ll be wishing Jessica Simpson and her BFF Ken Paves were still around. And what in God’s name is happening at the BBC? What cracked-out producer thought it would be a good idea to have Lindsay be a part of a project about such a serious subject?

This is going to be a massive Lindsay Lohan post, so I apologize in advance. There are a bunch of stories about Lindsay in the tabloids (all bad) and there are some little pieces of news here and there. First up: Lindsay Lohan is no longer banned from the club Avenue. Apparently, Lindsay was banned several months ago after the strange incident where she was there at the same time as Justin Timberlake, and she tweeted that he was a “jb cheater”, as in he was cheating on Jessica Biel. Apparently Justin pulled some strings and Lohan became persona non grata at Avenue. Well, that’s over. Page Six reports that while Lindsay had previously been “denied entry” to Avenue since the incident, she’s been partying at Avenue a lot this week. A source claims “She besieged the management with calls and e-mails to let her back in, and she promised to be on her best behavior.” Apparently, Lindsay even followed through, even turning away offers of free drinks. Probably because she was so cracked out, but whatever.

The second Lohan story comes by way of Life & Style via E! News. Lindsay gave L&S an interview about how her 15-year-old sister goes clubbing and accompanies her everywhere. Lindsay says that Ali is “tougher than I am” and that Ali “has a good head on her shoulders. Maybe it was different for me because I didn’t know what to expect and it just happened really fast. I didn’t have a big sister.” Lindsay also says that Ali is “really good” about doing her homework (because Ali is allegedly home schooled… at the School of Cracked-Out Hard Knocks and Clubbing). Lindsay says: “If I’m going out late, she’ll go home early.” Oh, Jesus. I don’t even want to get into this sh-t. Ali is going to end up worse than Lindsay.

Meanwhile, Star Magazine is still claiming that Lindsay is cutting herself, which I actually believe. HuffPo ran some huge close-ups of Lindsay at the Whitney Gala, and you can see a little bit of how her arms look scarred and busted. Star also reports that Lindsay’s hookup with Balthazar Getty happened the night before her big court date, and that after court she went on a huge bender, “drinking vodka and sugar-free Red Bull, slurring her words… She had circles under her eyes and looked like she hadn’t showered in days.” Star also notes that Lindsay seems “hellbent on destroying herself” and they seem to think Michael Lohan’s half-assed kidnap-and-intervention idea might be the best thing going (apparently they don’t know he’s a toxic parrot).

Speaking kidnapping Lindsay and forcing her into an intervention, In Touch Weekly has this absolutely crazy Lohan story this week. At first it starts out as just a typical “Lohan is a f-cking wreck” story – IT’s source says Lindsay “is taking so many prescription pills… there’s nothing behind her eyes.” Then IT totally runs with Michael’s intervention, publishing three open letters to Lindsay about how rough she is. One is from Michael, one is from Courtenay Semel, and one is from a “professional interventionist.” Now, I do think Lindsay needs help, but some of this is getting very circus-freak gross.

Michael’s letter is ridiculous. Obviously, he thinks all of Lindsay’s problems are about him, beginning his letter with a question about what he did to mess Lindsay up. Michael also uses phrases like “my blessed daughter” and “I have held your vacant body in my arms”. But, no worries. Michael has “helped so many other successfully… Linds, please, Honey, please let me help you.” Michael worst sentence ever: “As a parent and as a man of God who loves his family while others make this about money and slander, Honey, I did not and will not.” It gets grosser too but I can’t type it in. I’m too digusted.

Courtenay Semel is Lindsay’s former girlfriend/friend, but they haven’t been close since Courtenay got clean earlier this year. She actually had some more common sense advice in her letter – stuff like “Let Ali go be a kid” and “go take some time away from yourself”. Courtenay’s advice is basically go away for six months, go to rehab, get clean, find God and get a fresh start. Not bad. The letter from the “professional interventionist” is a little funny though – it sounds like a lawyer wrote it. It’s basically like “you may be an addict, but I can’t say for sure because then you might sue me, but maybe you should get some help okay? Don’t sue.”

Many people have been comparing Lindsay’s decay to Britney Spears’s drama. My take? I tend to think Lindsay should be compared to Amy Winehouse. Amy didn’t really get clean, she just temporarily gave up drugs for rum and the Caribbean. Which wouldn’t really be the worst option for Lindsay if she didn’t feel like really doing the heavy lifting of getting sober. In any case, the best advice is Courtenay’s – Lohan should go away for six months. Do something else.
