THIS is single again. Hallelujah! Last summer, the sad news (for me) came out – British model and reigning “BLUE STEEL” Forever-Face David Gandy was dating a girl who I didn’t approve of – and yes, he needs my permission! Gandy is considered the top male model in the world. He’s currently the face of Dolce & Gabbana, and he has more than a dozen other ad campaigns going, plus he scores magazine cover after international magazine cover. He’s in demand all over Europe, Asia and even America. He blogs for Vogue UK, and he’s looking to get into acting too. His girlfriend was Mollie King, the lead singer of The Saturdays, a girl-group only popular in the UK. As soon as David and Mollie began dating (and I mean, like, a WEEK into the relationship), Mollie began giving interviews about David. It was a famewhore move, and I was kind of disappointed in Gandy for sticking with her for so long. Well, it’s finally over between them. Gandy confirmed it during a recent event:

Mollie King and David Gandy have ended their nine-month relationship after revealing their demanding schedules were getting in the way of love.

There had been speculation during the week that the Saturdays singer and the Dolce and Gabbana model were no longer an item; rumours that Gandy confirmed at a pre-Baftas party at London’s Savoy Hotel.

‘Sadly me and Mollie have split,’ the 31-year-old told the People at the Esquire magazine Orange Rising Star pre-Bafta party. ‘It just wasn’t the right timing and we were both so busy. I have been over in the States three times this month and a relationship can’t take that.’

News of the split comes just months after reports the couple were looking to move to India and settle down together. Gandy was full of praise for his ex, however, adding that well-wishers should not rule them getting back together.

‘Mollie is an incredibly beautiful, lovely girl and so grounded,’ he said. ‘But it just didn’t work out. Maybe in a few years when we are at different stages in our career we can make it work.’

Mollie, 24, who began dating Gandy last April, had spent the last week recuperating at home with her mum.

She told her 450,000 followers on Twitter that being back at home had its perks.

She tweeted: ‘Been staying at mums this week, it’s the best “hotel”!!! …Although not sure what the reaction would be to late night room service!!!!’

Well, he’s nice about the breakup at least. It sounds like he was the one to dump her, right? As far as I know, David’s dating history tends towards models or slender model-types. There was a rumor about David and Lily Cole just before he got with Mollie, which… I don’t think much of Lily Cole either. So does this make Gandy more accessible, the fact that he dates girls who aren’t all that?

Demi Moore is currently at an unnknown rehab receiving treatment for substance abuse issues and anorexia. Reports had her at the exclusive Cirque Lodge in Utah, but TMZ claims those stories are false and that no one knows exactly where Demi is. (She could be at Cirque and denying it in an attempt to preserve her privacy and keep the paparazzi away. I can’t blame her for that.) Radar reports that patients receiving treatment at Cirque aren’t allowed to weigh themselves or to know their current weight during weigh-ins with a doctor. Wherever Demi is, she’s hopefully detoxing and getting healthy.

The latest issue of US has an article that suggests to me that Demi is not taking responsibility for her addictions, or at least that her family is still in denial about it. It squarely places blame on her ex Ashton Kutcher as somehow triggering Demi’s latest problems. Here’s part of US’ report:

Just one week [prior to Tallulah's 18th birthday party on February 3], [Demi], 49, checked into rehab, a source confirms to Us, to seek treatment for substance abuse and an eating disorder. “Her friends and family wanted her to get help,” says a Moore source. Now Bruce, 56, and Moore’s daughters, Tallulah, Scout, 20, and Rumer, 23, are holding accountable the one person they consider responsible for her troubles – her estranged husband, Ashton Kutcher. “Bruce and the girls hate Ashton,” says another insider close to the actress…

“Her family and friends are happy Ashton is out of her life…

“This think Demi’s breakdown is his fault.” (Another source counters that Rumer, who has visited Kutcher on the Two and a Half Men set postsplit, is still close to the actor.)…

[The friendship between Bruce and Ashton] “was all a show,” the source asserts of the Die Hard actor’s friendliness. “The hatred is long-standing.”

Still, Kutcher, 34, may have made himself too scarce in recent weeks. “Ashton hasn’t been there for her,” says another insider. The one time he went to her house after her hospitalization, she wasn’t even there. But another pal defends Kutcher: “He hasn’t seen her because he doesn’t want to give her the idea that he wants to get back together…”

“Bruce is concerned about Demi,” says a Willis soure. But even he is limited. His wife, Emma Heming-Willis, 33, who is pregnant with their first child, “doesn’t want to expose their baby to any of that drama,” says the source.

I buy that Ashton was an ass to Demi and that he cheated on, lied to and left her. We have no idea what went on in that relationship behind closed doors, or how bad it was. It’s understandable that Demi’s family hates Ashton now. Ultimately Demi is responsible for herself, though. Plenty of women go through infidelity and public humiliation and deal with it in much healthier, constructive ways. Most of those women don’t have a fraction of Demi’s means or opportunities. This is a cop out by Demi’s people. She needs to get more distance from this before putting out the next planted story.

Yesterday, we heard that Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet had broken up. They had been dating for… months, it seems. Nearly a year. As far as I could tell, it wasn’t like they even spent that much time together, which led me to believe that it was some kind of PR-driven relationship or bearding situation. Well, I’m not sure how this Us Weekly report falls into my preconceived notions of Emma and Chord, but if this is true, they were always a disaster of a couple:

Before they officially called it quits, Emma Roberts did everything possible to ice out Chord Overstreet, multiple insiders tells Us Weekly.

“Emma told Chord he didn’t need to spend New Year’s with her. It was just her and her girlfriends, a tradition she always does,” one source says. “Emma is pretty difficult to be in a relationship with.”

The 20-year-old Art of Getting By actress had been belittling Overstreet for months, another source says. “Emma calls him Chord — pronounced like chair — to his face,” a source told Us in November. “She acts like he’s really dumb.”

Things came to a head at Golden Globes after-party January 15, a third insider tells Us.

“Chord was waiting outside the CAA party at Sunset Tower waiting for Emma to come get him at the door.”

When Roberts ignored Overstreet’s text messages, he was overheard saying, “Emma does this all the time when she doesn’t want to see me.”

Glee’s Overstreet, 22, never made it inside the party — and Roberts was seen “crying and noticeably upset,” the third insider says. “Clearly they had a fight about her not coming out to get him.”

A fourth source close to the couple adds that Overstreet “is so nice and was such a good boyfriend. . . He was always so sweet.” On the other hand, a fifth source insists: “Chord was controlling and always wanted to know where she was at all times. Emma’s career is very important to her, but Chord wanted it to be all about him. She’s too young to be able to give someone that kind of commitment.”

The two stars were first spotted making out in April 2011 at the A|X Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine carnival in Indio, Calif.

God, how much does Emma sound like her Aunt Julia? “Emma is pretty difficult to be in a relationship with.” And “She acts like he’s really dumb.” She learned it all from watching her Aunt Julia! Anyway, poor Chord. It will be interesting to see if he gets the same “Alex Pettyfer treatment” that both Emma and Dianna Agron have implemented in the past to make themselves look like victims. The problem is that Alex Pettier (who dated both Dianna and Emma) actually seemed like a legitimate d-bag. I just don’t buy it about Chord – he just seems like a sweet, easy-going kid, perhaps not that bright, but harmless. Ah, Young Hollywood Dramz.

It’s a sad day for beards! Emma Roberts, entitled princess and niece of Julia, has broken up with Chord Overstreet, the boy from Glee. Yes, they were dating. I actually knew that, because as soon as they got together, they did a “photo shoot” together at Disneyland or something, and it was really clear that this was just a professional “relationship” – like Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens or something. Emma really tried to make this thing with Chord (I can’t with that name) happen, but… it just never “took”.

Not-so-gleeful news. Chord Overstreet and Emma Roberts have split after 9 months together, two sources confirm to Us Weekly.

The cute couple were first caught making out last April at the A|X Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine carnival in Indio, Calif., and finally went public in July with a stroll through London.

Roberts — actress Julia Roberts’ niece — once dated Hollywood bad boy Alex Pettyfer. Overstreet’s exes include Taylor Swift (he was her brief rebound last winter following her split from Jake Gylllenhaal) and Glee costar Naya Rivera.

What went wrong? “They’re both young kids, they had crushes on each other but the relationship ran its course,” one source explains to Us. “She isn’t and wasn’t looking for a serious thing.” Roberts, who partied solo in Sundance, is “back to having fun now.”

Emma has been getting more press than usual lately – she went to Sarah Lawrence for a whole semester (not really), and then she “deferred” (dropped out) because college is SO HARD and she wanted to pap herself in LA. I’m surprised the college thing wasn’t used as an excuse here – “Emma was pursuing her education, and the relationship suffered” etc. Someone needs a better publicist.

Incidentally, just hours before the breakup was announced, Us Weekly had this story:

Even though Glee lost out to Modern Family for Best Comedy Series Ensemble at Sunday’s SAG Awards, the evening still proved to be a success for Chord Overstreet, who managed to meet his favorite esteemed actor!

The 22-year-old Glee star’s big moment came after the SAG Awards had wrapped inside Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, at one of the evening’s after parties.

“Chord Overstreet met Brad Pitt, his idol, and was ecstatic about it!” a source from inside the event tells Us Weekly. “People literally stopped in their tracks as Brad and [Angelina Jolie] walked by — you could overhear other celebrities talking about how beautiful and handsome they were.”

I vaguely know who Tara Subkoff is. She was one of the founding designers with Imitation of Christ, she’s BFFs with Chloe Sevigny, and she used to date Jimmy Fallon back in the day. I had no idea that Tara had been dating Tom Hooper, the British director who won the Oscar for The King’s Speech last year, for more than a year. But they were together. And now it’s over. And it’s a MESS. Tara is pregnant, you see. And her version of events has Tom Hooper dumping her literally MINUTES after she told him she was pregnant. His version is different, but it’s still pretty rough:

Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper has called off his engagement to fashion designer Tara Subkoff, who’s just told friends and Hooper that she’s a few months pregnant with his child, according to sources.

The pair were quietly engaged in Paris in May after meeting around the Golden Globes in January last year.

“They had just celebrated their one-year anniversary,” said a source close to the couple.

But “The King’s Speech” director last weekend broke off their relationship and left New York for London, as Subkoff suspected she was pregnant.

Sources close to Subkoff say the couple had been trying for a baby for months, and, “She took several home pregnancy tests,” after he left for London. Now “Imitation” creator Subkoff is telling friends a doctor has confirmed her pregnancy and she is “distraught” about the end of their relationship.

However, a source close to Hooper confirms he broke off their engagement, but insists he had no idea she was expecting until Subkoff left him a voice mail yesterday.

“He broke up with her on Friday, and the last time they spoke was Saturday. He did not know she was pregnant — there was no discussion of her being pregnant,” the source said. “Then he got this voice mail [yesterday] from Tara saying she’s pregnant. He doesn’t know what to do.”

The source explained the pair had broken up a few times and their relationship had recently been rocky. And Hooper “just wasn’t ready to get married. He’s married to his career. He’s just going into production on a huge film. He’s under a tremendous amount of pressure. The timing of this could not be more difficult.”

But the source added, “Tom still adores Tara, and obviously he’ll do the right thing by her.”

Hooper will begin production on “Les Miserables” — starring Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway —on Feb. 6. Reps for Hooper and Subkoff had no comment.

If this story was about two B-list (or even C-list) actors, it would be getting major play. But I guess people don’t care about British directors and their pregnant fashion designer girlfriends? Prove them wrong! Care about this, because it’s a really scandalous gossip story. Do you believe Tom’s side of things, that he dumped her without knowing about her pregnancy? Or was Tara trying to “trap” him into a commitment by getting knocked up? I think the crux of the scandal is in the timing – she finds out she’s pregnant and he dumps her, all within a 24-hour-period. Sketchy!

After playing a little back and forth with the media, and maybe holding some crisis talks this weekend, Heidi Klum and Seal have officially announced their separation. It’s sad to hear of such a well liked celebrity couple with four kids splitting, especially one that seemed as solid and loving as these two. Here’s their statement, given to People, in which they confirm the news that they’re splitting:

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, the Project Runway host and the singer say:

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.

“We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.

“We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

The couple are parents to Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

This leaves us wondering why, and assuming that something serious must have happened to break up what seemed from the outside to be a happy marriage. Seal has been on tour and Heidi has been working both in America and in Germany, which suggests too much time apart and also the possibility of infidelity. According to a new report in TMZ, which broke the story of Heidi and Seal’s impending divorce, there was no cheating going on and Heidi was just fed up with Seal’s temper:

Heidi Klum is divorcing Seal largely because she has had it with his volcanic temper … TMZ has learned.

Sources directly connected with the couple tell us … Heidi’s decision to divorce Seal has nothing to do with a third person. There is NO issue of infidelity.

But Seal’s inability to control his anger has become too much for Heidi to take, in no small part because it’s affecting their children.

TMZ broke the story that Heidi will divorce Seal, and we’ve learned this was not a snap decision. As one source said, “It was a long time in coming.”

We’re also told … their careers also played a part in Heidi’s decision. She has become a mega-entrepreneur and extremely rich, and that professional evolution has created a distance between them.

For his part, Seal has a new album coming out and he’s about to launch an international tour.

We’re told Heidi and Seal are still living under the same roof, but that will change very soon.

I believe that Seal has a nasty temper, because I remember reporting in 2008 about a video of him going off on the paparazzi and calling them “scum” for seemingly no reason. (You can still see the video here.) Seal was outside paparazzi hotspot Madeo with Heidi. Celebrities know they’ll be photographed there and it’s not like anyone was following those two or finding them at an out-of-the-way place. The photographers there were very respectful, telling Seal they liked his music and asking to shake his hand. Seal refused and said “why would I shake hands with scum?” He then got in an extended argument with the guys and claimed that paparazzi ruined lives. Heidi was kind of cowering there while Seal went off. To me it was a rare glimpse that all wasn’t as it seemed in their relationship.

British outlet The Sun points us to a recent interview with Seal in which he admits that he has issues with Heidi. He said “We certainly have differences of opinion. I mean, she’s German and I’m English, so if I said we didn’t have differences of opinion, no one would believe that.” He then went on to say they disagree about Christmas, as Heidi follows the German tradition of opening all the presents on Christmas Eve. “I just don’t see the logic in it, it’s Christmas, ie, Jesus Christ? And last time I checked, Christ was born on 25 December. But you know what, pick your battles. That’s one I don’t bother with.

“I’m going to make this T-Shirt up saying, ‘you can either be right or be happy’.”

We’ve also heard that Seal has been partying a lot and The Sun reported that he’s spent hardly any time with Heidi. They quote a source who claims “The marriage ended months ago in reality. They rarely saw each other and it wouldn’t be unusual for them to go months without spending any real quality time together. Ships that pass in the night would be an overstatement.”

Friday On Twitter, Seal posted a bizarre close-up photo of what looks like his arm with the caption “The End.” The Daily Mail mentions that Seal’s arm has a tattoo of angel wings on it, (It was such a strange picture that it was hard to see), which he probably got in honor of former Victoria’s Secret model Heidi. Tweeting that photo is the kind of douche move you would expect from someone like Ashton Kutcher, but it does suggest that Heidi pulled the plug, not Seal. So what happened exactly? Was Seal just too combative for Heidi as outlets are claiming? I’m thinking there’s probably more to it than that.

Talk about leaking a story late on Friday for the least coverage. TMZ is reporting that Heidi Klum, 38, is about to file divorce from Seal, 48, after nearly seven years of marriage and four children together. (Three of whom are Seal’s, he adopted Heidi’s daughter from a previous relationship.) I’ve sometimes thought that Heidi and Seal aren’t as solid as they’ve seemed, as I get suspicious when couples seem to constantly tout how great their relationship is. Still, this is surprising and sad news. These two really did seem like they would be together until very late in life. Here’s TMZ’s report:

Heidi Klum will file for divorce from Seal … TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Heidi will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week. We’re told Heidi will cite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce.

The couple married May 10, 2005. They have 3 biological kids. Seal adopted Heidi’s eldest girl from a prior relationship.

The couple is famous for renewing their vows every year on their anniversary … in a lavish ceremony.

As for splitting up the goodies, there’s a lot on the line. According to Forbes, in the last year alone, Klum raked in $20 million. It’s unclear how much Seal made.

Heidi attended last Sunday’s Golden Globes without Seal. The last photo she tweeted with him was back on December 26.

Radar reports that Seal was last seen with Heidi on January 7, and that he “was spotted alone Friday at L.A.X.” People reached out to their reps and have not heard back yet.

Seal was touring with his band throughout 2011 and will be touring in February and again in December of this year. He has a new album coming out at the end of this month. Was it the distance and the professional commitments that ate away at their relationship, or are we about to hear about one of them finding another partner while the other was away?

Kaiser reminded me that Heidi has been pregnant almost throughout her entire marriage. She met Seal when she was pregnant with her daughter Leni, now 7, and then they had Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2. In November, 2009, Seal adopted Leni, and then Heidi took Seal’s last name, Samuel, in December, 2009. (She still goes by Klum professionally.) Maybe the stress of having young kids got to them like so many other couples. I’ve seen photos of the family out with one nanny per each child, and Heidi has admitted that they have three nannies “two on at a time,” so it’s not like they’re dealing with the same reality as other families. Heidi kind of hinted at issues taking care of all their children. She told US in August that “it’s a huge responsibility to have four kids.” It must have been even harder for her with Seal away on tour. This is very sad news, especially for their children. I’m hoping it’s either not true or that they’ll try to work it out. Maybe they have been trying for some time and have been keeping it under wraps.

We first heard about Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner hooking up in February of 2010. They got matching lighting bolt tattoos for each other a few months later, we heard they were gunning for a reality show (that thankfully went nowhere) and then we even heard they were engaged last year. Well all that is over now, as Brody and Avril have split.

After dating for almost two years, Life & Style can exclusively reveal that the pop singer and reality star have called it quits.

“They decided to end their relationship,” a source tells Life & Style. “It wasn’t working out, and they wanted to go their separate ways.”

According to friends, the main reason is that they didn’t see eye to eye when it came to marriage.

“She wanted to settle down, but he wasn’t exactly ready,” another source tells Life & Style. “They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time.”

“It put a strain on their relationship,” the source adds.

Avril, 27, began dating Brody, 28, just months after she split from her then-husband, Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley, 31. The two were married on July 15, 2006, but Avril filed for divorce three years later. It was finalized on November 16, 2010.

Before dating Avril, Brody was linked to model Jayde Nicole.

These two lasted surprisingly long for a Kardashian (by marriage) and the queen of tween angst pop. It also surprises me to hear that Avril wanted to settle down. She doesn’t seem like the type at all. As mean as it sounds, at least she hasn’t had a kid yet. She’s generally insufferable and used to be known for being incredibly rude and bragging about it. Avril seemed to calm down quite a bit since she’s been dating Brody. It will only be a matter of time before we see photos of her stumbling drunk out of clubs and flipping off the paparazzi. After all, she’s got to find another dude to settle down with. Maybe she’s changed, though.

Ashton, Demi and Rumer on 4-8-10

This story actually made me feel a tinge sorry for Ashton Kutcher. For all the things you can say about what a cheating ass he is, and how he’s flaunting his relationship with a new woman, he has been supportive and loving to his stepdaughters. (Most of whom are arguably old enough to date him.) So if this is true I feel just a tiny bit sorry for him. According to Mike Walker in the National Enquirer, Ashton begged his estranged wife Demi Moore (if they were ever officially married) to spend some time with his former stepdaughters over the holidays and was firmly denied. It was the stepdaughters who told their mom that there was no way they were going to see him.

Ashton Kutcher… begged Demi Moore – unsuccessfully – to include him in her and her daughters’ holiday plans. Ashton pals report he’s depressed and miserable because the stepkids have coldly cut him out of their lives… leaving a big hole in his own. Despite wanting desperately to be with the girls – even briefly – over Christmas, sisters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah told Mom they did NOT want to see Ashton, they told her to keep their holiday plans a secret from him!

So instead of hanging out in L.A. and realizing what he was missing, Ashton hightailed it to Europe for the holidays, where he was seen partying in Germany and Italy, always accompanied by young attractive women. Plus he just rented a $50k a month modern bachelor pad with retractable glass walls and an infinity pool. All sympathy I might have for the guy is dissipating. You can’t bang a bunch of club chicks on the side and expect to have a happy home life for long.

Out of Demi and Bruce’s daughters the youngest is Tallulah and she turns 18 next month. I’m sure all of Demi’s daughters know exactly how Ashton so publicly wronged their mom. Even if they actively tried to ignore Internet reports, it was staring at them from the checkout aisle for weeks. He’s an ass if he thinks he can go back to acting like a stepdad without any consequences, but we already knew that about him.

Sad news, but not surprising news. According to Jessica Lange’s representative, Jessica and her long-time lover/partner/baby-daddy Sam Shepard are no longer together. The split isn’t recent either – they’re been over for nearly two years. Although they were often held up as an example of one of those famously unmarried couples who make it work year after year, Sam and Jessica’s relationship was always tumultuous, from what I’ve heard. And both have taken extended absences from Hollywood, allegedly to work on other projects, but probably to work on their relationship too. I’m just saying – they should be proud of making it work for so long, because I get the feeling that neither of them were God’s gift to relationships.

Actress Jessica Lange and her longtime partner, playwright and actor Sam Shepard, ended their relationship almost two years ago, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The couple, who have been together since 1982, have two children, Hannah and Samuel, together.

“They both are pursuing independent lives,” says a source.

Lange, 62, who stars as Constance in FX’s hit series, American Horror Story, was just nominated for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award. She will be seen next in The Vow, costarring Rachel McAdams, in February.

Now that Jessica has a new hit show (American Horror Story), I suspect that she’s been fielding some questions about her personal life, so this announcement has probably come out ahead of some tabloid report. Personally, I can’t wait to read any tabloid story about them – I’ve always thought Sam was incredibly sexy, but I have no illusions, he’s probably a bastard in real life. As for Jessica… well, if you told me she was flat-out insane, I wouldn’t doubt you. Here’s to a new beginning… two years later!
