On Friday, Page Six doubled-down on their reporting that Naomi Campbell is trying to destroy her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, Luo Zilin. Luo Zilin, a Chinese model and former Miss China, was a contestant on The Face, and Luo was mentored by Naomi. Naomi was a big supporter of Luo’s career… until Luo started dry-humping Vladimir Doronin in Ibiza. Vlad and Naomi broke up months ago, and Vlad has been seen with several different models and attractive ladies, and I guess Luo has won his heart. Anyway, Page Six claimed that Naomi was contacting all of her friends in the fashion industry in an attempt to get Luo blacklisted from ever working again, in America, in Europe and even in China. Now The Daily Mail reports – exclusively! – that Vladimir Doronin is fighting back and accusing Naomi of “bullying” Luo. Hahaha.

Russian billionaire Vladimir Doronin has accused Brit supermodel Naomi Campbell of ‘bullying’ his new girlfriend Luo Zilin, telling friends the couple just want to be left alone. Today, Page Six reported that Naomi, 42, is attempting to scupper Luo’s modelling career by demanding that her Chinese agents fire her – just days after the younger model was dumped by her New York management.

And a source told MailOnline that Vlad, 50, was just concerned about protecting his love, saying: ‘It’s really sad that Naomi can’t leave Vlad alone since he just wants to get on with his life with Luo in peace. She’s had a very successful career so far and deserves better than being bullied by Naomi. At this point, what he cares about is protecting Luo and helping to undo the damage Naomi has cruelly tried to inflict on her.’

The businessman finally sounded the death knell for his five-year romance with Naomi this week when he was seen frolicking with Chinese model Luo – who was mentored by Naomi on her reality show The Face. Vlad and Luo, 25, were seen passionately embracing on the Spanish party island of Ibiza – and it was then revealed that Luo had lost her modelling deal with New York-based MIX Model management.

MIX Model president Neal Hamil said: ‘Zi Lin’s contract with MIX Model Management NYC was terminated last week due to ongoing unprofessional conduct and unacceptable work ethic.’

Luo Zilin was seen sprawled on top of Vladimir as they enjoyed a sunshine break in Spain at the weekend. And the couple were pictured sharing an intimate embrace.

A source close to Naomi said: ‘It’s fair to say that Luo and Vlad met through Naomi, it’s really unprofessional of Luo and it’s not great behavior on Vlad’s behalf.’

And another source today denied Vlad’s claims, saying: ‘Naomi is just concentrating on work, she doesn’t want to be drawn into this. It seems to be the case that Vlad is just trying to get an unfair dig in at Naomi – he can’t seem to leave her alone.’

Today, Mr Hamil said he had terminated Luo’s contract for ‘professional’ rather than personal reasons, adding he had fired the model on Memorial Day when she told him she was heading back to China – in direct conflict of the plans they had made to further her career.

So, what’s the real truth? That Naomi is actively trying to blacklist the younger woman who Naomi sees as a traitor and a rival? That Naomi is a crazy, violent bully? Or that Vladimir Doronin is turning out to be kind of famewhore, and he likes the attention and he loves that he’s in the center of some huge scandal? I don’t even know. I know that I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Naomi is in the midst of a major hissy fit and that she IS trying to destroy Luo. Speaking of Naomi’s self-perpetuating drama machine, remember when she assaulted, beat and scratched a paparazzo in Italy in 2009? Well, the guy is still insisting that she assaulted him and now Naomi has to go to court in Italy:

The supermodel Naomi Campbell has reportedly been ordered to appear before a court in Italy over accusations she attacked a photographer who was taking pictures of her while on holiday. Gaetano di Giovanni claims the London-born model scratched him and hit him with her handbag in an alleged attack in 2009 on the Aeolian island of Lipari, off the north coast of Sicily.

She has always denied the accusations, and claims instead that di Giovanni was harassing her. Prosecutor Francesco Massara has now ordered Campbell to appear before judges on 4 December, the Ansa news agency reported, quoting unnamed judicial sources.

A spokesman for Campbell said: “Three years ago Ms Campbell was the victim of paparazzi harassment in Italy. The photographer has claimed to have been attacked by Ms Campbell, a claim our client has categorically denied and her team is confident to prove this in court later this year.”

Di Giovanni said he did not want to comment. At the time of the incident he was quoted as telling Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica that he had only just started to take photographs of the model when she reacted angrily, shouting at him and attempting to slap him in the face.

He claimed her nails scratched one of his eyes. “For several moments I could see absolutely nothing,” he was quoted as saying, claiming he had sought medical treatment afterwards.

The model’s spokesman said the accusations were “completely untrue”.

The problem with getting all huffy and self-righteous with your denial is that there is actual a criminal record of several instances of exactly those kinds of violent assaults. God, I think Luo Zilin needs our prayers. If Naomi ever runs into her, Zilin is going to lose an eye (at the very least).

As we discussed earlier this week, Naomi Campbell IS NOT PLAYING. Naomi and her married boyfriend of five years, Vladimir Doronin, broke up several months ago. Page Six exclusively revealed Naomi, 42, and Vlad, 50, broke up earlier this year. We hear they split in January and finalized the break in March.

The source explained, “They broke up because there were too many ups and downs, and you can only deal with that for so long. Vlad wishes Naomi well. He just wants to move on with his life, but she won’t let him.”

The source said Vlad was surprised to see paparazzi shots of himself with Luo at his secluded villa in Ibiza, adding, “Only a few people know the location of that villa. It’s hard to find, and he suspects she told the paparazzi.”

But a source close to the British beauty, whose career is back on top thanks to the success of “The Face” in the US, said, “She is totally focused on ‘The Face.’ She’s in London working around the clock on the British version of the show. This isn’t easy for Naomi. This relationship seems almost designed to hurt her. She is trying hard to keep a brave face and not to think about it.

“Naomi isn’t trying to destroy Luo’s career, Luo’s agents wanted to get rid of her,” the source continued. “And there’s no way Naomi would have known they were in Ibiza.”

Here are some new photos of Naomi Campbell last night at the Glamour Women of the Year event in London. Naomi looks great! I’m almost positive her dress is Alexander McQueen – like, a true McQueen design, not Sarah Burton for McQueen. Naomi loved McQueen. Anyway, this was Naomi’s first public outing since her protégé Luo Zilin from The Face jacked Naomi’s ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin. I did find out some additional dirt on that scandal – apparently, Naomi was still tweeting support to Luo on Saturday, then on Sunday the photos of Luo and Vlad came out and everything went ICY. Naomi stopped tweeting support and she tweeted this cryptic message: “The moment a person loses appreciation for the goodness others have done for them is the moment they begin their fall. Blsd day x.” Besides that, Naomi hasn’t said a word. I mean, except for pulling a few strings and getting Luo fired from her agency. Of course.

Luo, who stands at a statuesque six-feet-tall, was born in Shanghai, China, and was crowned Miss Universe China in 2011. She went on to appear on Oxygen modelling reality show, The Face, created by Naomi, in which Naomi competes against fellow supermodels to find a winning model to launch on the fashion world. She was the last girl standing on Team Naomi and was a runner-up on the show.

Last month, Vladimir was joined by another model, Jazzma Kendrick, 23, off the shores of Miami, and the couple looked cosy. The pair have hit a rocky patch, as we first revealed Tuesday, over their different lifestyles and work schedules.

One source said, “They’ve been fighting for a while. It’s been going on for six months or nine months. They’ve been sleeping in separate bedrooms and split for a few weeks. Naomi likes to live by her own rules, stay out late, be a free spirit, while Vlad is more regimented. He is up early, works hard, does yoga and is super healthy.”

The source said that the 42-year-old British beauty’s relationship with the 50-year-old billionaire property mogul had flourished as she introduced him to her celebrity friends.

“I think he loves being around the celebrities. He loves going to the parties,” our insider continued. “But he still doesn’t do the drugs or the drinking.”

Eh. I don’t know what to say. I’m so glad when I correctly predict the outcomes of some of these celebrity relationships. First of all, they were together for five years and he never managed to get a divorce from his wife. Second of all, Naomi waved around a giant ring and kept telling everybody (including Oprah!) that they were engaged. Third, Naomi moved to Russia to be with him. Yeah. It was always going to end badly. And now it has. According to Page Six, they are “taking a break” and Vlad is already out partying in New York, probably with a long line of models at his beck and call.

Campbell, 42, threw Doronin an extravagant 50th birthday bash last November in Jodhpur, India, with guests including Kate Moss, Eva Herzigova and Karolina Kurkova. Doronin, who has been building a futuristic mansion for Campbell in Moscow, is expected to be among the guests at her 43rd birthday bash May 22, which is reportedly taking place in Ibiza.

Despite his long relationship with Campbell, Doronin has not divorced his wife, Ekaterina, even though they are believed to have separated in about 1998. Although I didn’t say it at the time, it struck me as odd that Naomi signed on to be a judge (or whatever) on The Face last year. It meant a significant time commitment in America and away from the international parties she loves so much. And it’s not even like Naomi really needs the money – she’s wealthy in her own right, with or without a reality show. But maybe she was feathering her nest because she finally realized that she and Vlad probably weren’t going to last. Or maybe something else happened… like she beat him with a phone. God knows.

PS… And before the anti-marriage brigade comes in here and starts yelling “but maybe she didn’t even want to marry him, you are SO DUMB I HATE YOU” – she went on Oprah and talked about how she wanted to marry him. Her goal was to marry him and in five years’ time, he didn’t get a divorce. This just goes to show that even Naomi Campbell makes dumb relationship mistakes.

Does anyone else think it’s very, very interesting that Liberty Ross came out for Sunday’s Vanity Fair Oscar party? She had to know that Kristen Stewart was going to present at the Oscars (that was known for days) and she had to know that Kristen was on crutches (that was known since Saturday I think). So while Kristen grunted, slumped, eye-rolled and greased her way through the Oscars, Liberty was taking off her bra (and her panties, probably) and slipping into this ridiculous little black dress and showing her nips to everyone at the VF party. Needless to say, K-Stew didn’t make it to the VF party. Poor Trampire! As for Liberty’s dress – this sh-t is tacky. I think Liberty is really pretty and she has an amazing body, but… God, this is TACKY.

Yes, the dress is kind of annoying (I find the lace to be super-precious), but she looks good and her styling has improved a lot. I think her hair and makeup look especially good.

CB thought Amber Heard was Allison Williams – they do look alike, right? Amber looks so different every time I see her – these days she’s doing the ombre hair which is kind of leaving me cold. This Versace dress is boring too.

Solange in Emilio Pucci – the same canary yellow shade that Jane Fonda wore! I like the color on Solange more, but… her styling is meh.

Here are some new photos of Naomi Campbell and the reality show team of The Face, which includes Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova and Nigel Barker. They were in Pasadena yesterday for the NBC Winter Tour, which is basically like the spring/summer upfronts. It’s a chance for NBC Universal’s program stars to do press and promote their upcoming shows. The Face will premiere on Oxygen in February, and this is the first time that I’ve realized that NBC owns Oxygen.

Anyway, the reason Naomi looks so much shorter in these photos is because DIVA IS WEARING FLATS! She’s wearing flats because she was allegedly attacked on the streets of Paris when she was alone and trying to hail a cab. And she allegedly tore a ligament in her knee or something, so she spent the holidays in a wheelchair and now she’s super-brave to be seen out and about in flats!

After we reported Naomi Campbell was attacked by Paris muggers who injured her leg, the supermodel addressed the incident at a Television Critics Association press conference yesterday.

“I had an injury of my knee and I am on the mend. I cannot discuss any further as there is an investigation,” Campbell said while promoting her upcoming series, “The Face,” in LA. Campbell was attacked by thugs in November as she tried to get into a car, Page Six reported exclusively last week, and suffered what’s suspected to be a torn ligament. The beauty has recently been seen without a wheelchair, but wearing flat shoes rather than heels.

Fascinating. As many of you uncovered during your factchecking last week, it seems like Page Six’s story about Naomi’s injury was kind of off the mark. The Mail spoke to the French police investigating the crime, and that version of the story is different. The Mail says Naomi was attacked as she sat in a limo in central Paris, quite near the Alaia boutique. Her assailants were “two men on a motorbike” who tried to grab her handbag although “nothing was taken,” sources say. But if she was in her limo, how did she hurt her leg? Anyway, after the attack, Naomi took her limo to the police station and filed a complaint and refused to have a medical examination, but said that she was concerned that she was “deliberately targeted.” This is so, so fishy.

Sometimes when I’m in “work mode,” I’m just skimming stories to see if there’s anything worth covering. When I came across Page Six’s top story this morning, my immediate reaction was to chuckle because all I skimmed at first was “Naomi Campbell… attacked… Paris.” I thought, “Of course. Of course she attacked the city of Paris. Of course she brought out her bedazzled phone and gave the city of Paris a major beatdown. Because she’s Naomi Campbell!” Alas, that’s not what the story actually is. Naomi was the VICTIM! After years of handing out beatdowns and whoop-asses, Naomi was attacked by unknown assailants in Paris several weeks ago, and she is still suffering from injuries now, weeks after the attack:

The supermodel was set upon by thugs as she tried to hail a cab and was “knocked over and robbed,” we’re told. She suffered a torn ligament, and reported the incident to French cops.

One source said, “It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone. She was attacked in the street as she hailed a cab, and robbed.

“Her leg was injured as she was violently pushed to the ground. She was understandably very upset and shaken up,” the source said. It is not known what the thugs stole from her, but it’s believed they were targeting expensive jewelry she may have been wearing.

The beauty’s billionaire boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, immediately flew her by private jet to Vail, Colo., where she was treated by J. Richard Steadman, one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the world and the founder of the Steadman Clinic, which has treated many athletes, including Alex Rodriguez.

Naomi, 42, has been using a wheelchair and crutches to get around following the attack, which happened over a month ago. Our source added she has not spoken publicly about the assault nor told friends, at the request of French police who are hunting down the thugs.

We are also told Doronin has upped security around Naomi, as a precaution.

The model’s spokesman and agent declined to comment. When reached by phone, the Naomi said, “I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine.”

Naomi has remained positive since the attack. She has been tweeting inspiring messages and threw a New Year’s Eve bash at her house on Miami’s Star Island. She’s now resting in Miami and preparing for next month’s launch of her TV show “The Face.”

The only little conspiratorial buzz I have is that I find it hard to believe that Naomi ever, ever rolls without an entourage. You know? I just find it unlikely that she would be alone, on a Paris street, hailing a cab. She is known for rolling with a huge entourage at all times, and I also think it’s kind of bizarre that she wouldn’t have her own car and driver, and that she would be hailing a cab? But if her assailants were watching her for a while, maybe they just struck at exactly the rare moment when Naomi was alone. As for her injury… poor Naomi, and I hope they catch the dudes who assaulted her. At least she’s putting on a brave face. And karma, etc. I feel kind of bad for yelling “Karma!” about this and truly, no one deserves to be attacked… but honestly, Naomi has a history of beating the hell out of people, so I feel pretty justified in saying it. Karma.

Also, I kind of hate to say this, but over the years, I’ve really grown more and more attracted to Vladimir Doronin. Um… he’s really sexy. And he’s crazy rich. And he’s probably afraid that Naomi is going to beat the hell out of him one day too.

Somebody’s going to get a bejeweled phone right in the kisser! And it will be preserved in all its glory on reality television. Yes, mega-diva Naomi Campbell is set to STAR in a new Oxygen reality series called The Face. Naomi’s role in the show will be as one of three “supermodel coaches” – although Naomi is the only one who has been cast as of yet. Seriously, what self-respecting supermodel is going to sign on to play second-fiddle to Naomi’s unchecked ego and violent tendencies? They should call this show Who Wants to Be the Victim of a Felony Assault? Or The Face… That Is About To Get Smacked.

The NBCUniversal-owned cable network has tapped Naomi Campbell to star in The Face, a reality competition revolving around teams of models going head-to-head to become the spokesperson for a national brand.

Campbell will serve as one of three supermodel coaches, responsible for molding, nurturing and transforming contestants similar to another NBCUni property, The Voice. Campbell and the two other yet-to-be announced coaches will select their contenstants from a worldwide search before guiding them through weekly assignments.

“The Face is a fresh new series that delivers all the elements our audience craves: fashion, beauty and drama,” said Rod Aissa, senior vp original programming and development and Oxygen Media. “Oxygen has been looking for the next ideation in the modeling genre and this project delivers it.”

The Face comes as the female-skewing network has committed to increasing its original programming by 50 percent and joins the network that has been home to Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model.

For her part, the series marks Campbell’s latest small-screen gig, following guest spots on scripted series including The Cosby Show and New York Undercover.

The Face, which does not yet have a premiere date, hails from Shine Media, producers of The Biggest Loser and Tabatha Takes Over, among other properties.

The Oxygen order comes 10 days after the CW’s flagship Top Model franchise saw the departure of three longtime faces in Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander, who have been with the fashion series since its early days.

ANTM has been a valuable unscripted property for the network that has struggled with the reality genre. The series premiered earlier this year to a dismal 0.6 demo rating, down 45 percent year-over-year.

There’s another aspect to this, of course – Naomi has watched her contemporaries – Heidi Klum, Elle Macpherson, Tyra Banks, etc – find new careers on these reality shows. Naomi is one of the few supermodels from the 1980s who still regularly appears on magazine covers – just AS A MODEL. I feel like this is Naomi crying “uncle” – she wants what the other girls have. Another layer to her career.

And yet another layer – what happened to living in Moscow with her still-married fiancé? Did that not pan out the way Naomi was hoping? Will her relationship with Vladimir Doronin survive if Naomi has to be in LA or NYC for six months at a time?
