Naomi Campbell beats people with phones because of “abandonment issues”

wenn57211991

I’ve lost count of how many times Naomi Campbell has flown into a diva-rage and physically assaulted some random person. I want to say the number is somewhere between “six” and “eleventy billion”. The difficulty is getting a hard number is that A) she really does assault a hell of a lot of people and B) Her married boyfriend started paying people off so they wouldn’t sue Naomi or charge her with assault and C) WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!?! Previously, Naomi claimed that she would stop beating people once she turned 40. Forty came and went and she’s still a violent terror who will shove a blood diamond down your throat at a moment‘s notice. And now the Mail has some quotes from Naomi’s latest television interview (on CNBC on Wednesday), and Naomi is still pulling excuses out of her ass for her history of violence.

She is one of the world’s highest paid and highest profile supermodels but is equally as famous for her furious temper. Naomi Campbell revealed in an intimate interview how she is still struggling with her anger issues and claimed that although she is not completely free of her infamous temper, she is a ‘work in progress.’

The in-depth interview will be broadcast on Wednesday on satellite and cable TV and shows a calmer more reflective side to the fiery model. 41-year-old Campbell is asked during the programme if she has finally ended her sporadic attacks and tantrums.

She replied: ‘Work in progress. I’ve apologised, accepted responsibility, I did my community service.’

On the show, CNBC Meets, Campbell speaks of her personal battle against cocaine and said: ‘The challenge was to go back and face things I hadn’t dealt with, [it’s] scary for anyone to go and look at themselves in the mirror and deal with them, leave that baggage there and move forward.’

She continued: ‘I didn’t feel good. I didn’t want to work. I lost many friends. I was emotionally and physically drained. I don’t look back on it in a negative way. That was my calling, my path… everyone’s path is different.’

In 2000 Naomi was found guilty of hitting her assistant with a phone and in 2007 she completed community service in New York for assaulting her housekeeper with a customized jewel encrusted mobile phone. The supermodel faced further court drama in 2008 when she attacked a police officer at Heathrow airport during a row after she lost a bag.

As a result she was banned by British Airways and was again ordered to do community service. Despite her troubled past the Streatham born model claims she has no regrets and added: ‘There’s no reason for doing that. It’s more like seeing or understanding a pattern you have to break.’

One possible reason that she gives for her bad behaviour is ‘abandonment’ issues due to her father who abandoned her mother Valerie when she was pregnant with Naomi.

Music producer Quincy Jones, who Naomi calls Poppy, has been a father figure to her for many years and he said: ‘For a long time I was trying to get to the bottom of what was bothering her. Just recently I said, ‘What is really wrong?’ She said, ‘Poppy, abandonment’ … a girl has to have that relationship with her father.’

Campbell says of her relationship with Nelson Mandela: ‘He’s been an amazing inspiration. Even when I’ve done wrong — and I know I’ve done wrong — I could go to him and never feel condemned by him.’

CNBC Meets Naomi Campbell is on CNBC on Wednesday at 10pm.

[From The Mail]

Oh, for the love of God. Nobody (and I mean it, Jennifer Aniston, NOBODY) does a self-aggrandizing pity party like Naomi Campbell. You know why she did coke? Because she liked it and she could afford it. You know why she beat people with bejeweled phones? Because she wanted to and she could get away with it. You know why she has “abandonment issues”? Because she’s a sucking vortex of narcissism and violence and bad weaves.

Naomi Campbell flashes her tata, and an enormous “engagement” ring

wenn5721318

Naomi Campbell was in London last night, and these are some photos from her courtside seat at some runway show (London Fashion Week has begun). First, let me just say something: I’ve just spent too much time looking at Naomi’s fully-exposed breast. You see the little tuxedo vest she’s wearing? There’s nothing underneath it, not pasties, not tape, nothing. When she left the venue, Naomi exposed her boob to the paparazzi, and one of our agencies has the photos and… her nipple looks very strange to me. The boobs are not bolt-ons or anything but… something’s weird. So weird that I asked CB to look at Naomi’s breast and she find the nipple situation weird too, but all that proves is that CB and I need to stop spending twenty minutes looking at Naomi Campbell’s boobs and emailing each other comments like “It looks like a pencil eraser” and “I think it’s engorged.”

wenn3514113

wenn3514115

wenn3514111

Anyway, as you can see in these (other, non-boob) photos, Naomi was flashing a gigantic diamond ring on left hand. This has caused there to be even more speculation about Naomi possibly being “engaged” to her lover Vladislav Doronin. The engagement rumors have been around for a while, and last year, Naomi was wearing an absolutely enormous cabochon emerald that many suspected was her “engagement ring” – see photos here. And now she’s wearing a huge diamond ring? Interesting. We know how much the bitch loves her diamonds.

wenn3514104

AFTER months of rumours as to her marital state – engaged or otherwise – Naomi Campbell gave us a big clue last night as she graced the LFW front row wearing what can only be described as an enormous sparkler.

Campbell has been dating Russian property billionaire Vladislav Doronin since 2008 and – although she hasn’t yet spoken about her rumoured engagement – she did move to Moscow last year to live with him.

The supermodel smiled and chatted with fellow front-rowers, including Olivia Palermo, before making a speech about Toni & Guy’s influence on the fashion industry at the brand’s show.

[From Vogue UK]

So, big diamond, living with him in Moscow, it all sounds like it’s on, right? Just remember that Doronin is married, with kids, and that his wife isn’t giving him a divorce any time soon. Doronin still spends holidays with his family, and the rest of the time with his mistress, Naomi. Still, Naomi isn’t stopping anyone from referring to her as Doronin’s “fiancée” – Naomi even told Oprah that she’s engaged, so… does Naomi think that she’s ever going to walk down an aisle with Doronin? I think she’s being played, but only if she really does want to get married. I think he’ll give her jewelry and go on vacation with her, but he’s not going to marry her.

Naomi Campbell, Karl Lagerfeld & more photos from the Monaco wedding

fp_7546728_chp_monacowedding_37_102

Since people seem to have a new interest in Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert, I thought I’d do some additional photos from the Monaco wedding on Saturday. The whole affair wasn’t half as glamorous and A-list as they thought it was, but a decent amount of royals came out, and there were some “celebrities” like Karl Lagerfeld up there, judging us all. I think Karl designed Charlene’s reception gown, the tiered affair with the more flattering neckline. Karl has also taken Charlene under his decrepit wing, so there’s that too.

I keep reading that my lover Gerard Butler was invited, but there are no photos of him in Monaco, and I tend to think he was in California over the whole weekend. So, instead, I give you Roger Moore. Now, I like Roger Moore. He’s a tireless UNICEF ambassador and by all accounts, a lovely man. But he looks like DEATH. He makes Karl Lagerfeld look like the picture of health.

fp_7546721_chp_monacowedding_30_102

Here’s Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and her husband/consort, Prince Daniel. They seem happy and stable, but why isn’t she knocked up?! They were married more than a year ago. Gotta produce those royal heirs. I tend to think Victoria is too underdressed for the wedding, but Daniel looks nice.

fp_7546744_chp_monacowedding_53_102

Don’t ask me what Charlotte Casiraghi is wearing. It’s hideous, and inappropriate for a girl older than 12. She’s so beautiful, but I want to yell at her until she stands up straight and stops making faces. She’s like the Kristen Stewart of Monaco.

wenn5684466

fp_7547471_chp_monacowedding_85_102

wenn5684465

And here’s Charlotte with her mother, Princess Caroline, and Caroline’s oldest son Andrea, who looks nice with a haircut. Caroline wanted Andrea to get the crown – she was positioning him for that before this whole Charlene disaster. Perhaps Caroline will get her way in the end.

wenn3422755

And finally, here’s Naomi Campbell and her married lover. This is what Naomi wore for the church wedding, but for the reception, Naomi totally changed into a white gown, of course. And if you want to criticize her for wearing white, she’ll beat the hell out of you.

Elisabetta Canalis in bronze Cavalli: surprisingly nice, or still tacky?

wenn3351999

This is Part II of the Amfar fashion – go here for part one. For this post’s headliner, I’ve chosen Miss Cannes herself, Elisabetta Canalis. It seems like Cannes is perfect for her – she gets to show up, hang out on a yacht, sunbathe, “pose” for photos, wear pretty clothes, drink, pose some more, get pap’d, rinse and repeat. She’s one of the many, many “professional girls” at the festival, spending her time “working.” God knows where Clooney is. God knows what all of this is really about, but there’s probably some conspiracy afoot. She’s wearing Cavalli, by the way.

wenn3351957

Here’s Naomi Campbell in Givenchy, just like Courtney Love. This isn’t Naomi’s traditional kind of look. I don’t hate it on her. My first reaction was “Bizarre… odd fit.” But as I look at it more, I really like it.

amfar_gala_03_wenn3353337

Michelle Rodriguez in a Jean Fares Couture gown. From the front she was covered up, but the back is very open and exposed. I like that Michelle is “trying”. I just don’t think she’s succeeding. I’m saying this as someone who likes her a great deal – she’s not a fashion girl. Her attempts at being all girly and frilly just fall flat. She’s not that girl.

amfar_gala_08_wenn3351400

Mischa Barton in black strapless, designer unknown. I don’t hate the dress, and it actually looks half-decent on her. But in closeups, you could tell that she was screwed up. She looked wasted. And would it have killed her to take care of her roots and actually do her hair for the event? She’s irrelevant as an actress, so she should really make the effort when she’s trying to be a fashion girl.

amfar_gala_17_wenn3351409

Freida Pinto in Lanvin, once again, one of the few to go short. She made her boyfriend Dev Patel come out too, and he doesn’t really look happy about it. He should have done a black suit or a tux, honestly. But Freida looks cute. I like this dress on her, even with all of that weirdness at the neckline.

amfar_gala_17_wenn3351480

Bar Raefali in Cavalli. Throughout all of Bar’s appearances at Cannes, it really seems like she’s shopping for a new boyfriend. This dress should make it easier. And some professional actually did her makeup this time so she doesn’t look so busted (in the face).

amfar_gala_31_wenn3353325

Gwen Stefani in her own L.A.M.B. design. Too much makeup, hair too overdone. She was one of the first ladies to walk the press line too – she really wanted to be photographed by everybody.

amfar_gala_86_wenn3352013

And finally, Brooke Shields in Marchesa. Unflattering and fug once again, Georgina Chapman.

Naomi Campbell gets to party with Vladimir Doronin, but he’s still not marrying her

fp_7335236_ang_grisogono_2_16_31

Naomi Campbell has been all over Cannes in the past week. I think it’s an annual thing for her – she party-hops, yacht-hops, gets wasted, etc. For this Cannes, however, Naomi threw one of her “Fashion for Relief” runway shows in which designers and models donate their time (and clothes) for humanitarian crises (this particular show raised money for Japan). Naomi always gets people to turn out, because, seriously, when Naomi asks you to do something, you’re going to do it right? You might get maimed by a diamond-encrusted cell phone if you don’t. My point? I can’t bash her for organizing these “Fashion for Relief” shows – they’re always big shows and good events for raising money.

What was more notable to me was that Naomi’s married lover/fiancé was on her arm throughout all of the festivities. Vladimir Doronin, who is still technically married, walked red carpets and partied with Naomi night after night. I’ve asked this before, and I’ll ask it again: will Vlad ever divorce his wife? Will Naomi ever be anything more than the girlfriend/mistress? They’ve been together for more than three years now, and I have to say that I think Vlad probably loves her crazy ass. But these are the first photos of them where he’s tossed aside his stoic demeanor. He looks… sexy. I would shack up with that.

Bar Refaeli in clingy Roberto Cavalli: busted or beautiful?

the_beaver_prem_19_wenn3346696

Yesterday was The Day Leonardo DiCaprio Officially Moved On. We were gifted with two Leo gems – the first was a report from Page Six regarding a Leo sighting with Blake Lively, in Cannes. Then, hours later, Leo and Blake (Lake? Bleo?) made their official pap-friendly debut as a couple. All of this made me wonder: how does Single White Female extraordinaire Bar Refaeli feel about all of this? Bar is in Cannes as well, and she’s been party-hopping and premiering for several days. These photos are from last night’s premiere of The Beaver. Bar wore this clingy, navy Roberto Cavalli (with jewelry by Chopard). Now… I’ve never been a big fan of Bar, as a person or as a model. Her personality seems at best, non-existent and at worst, snotty. As a model, she’s definitely lacking. She has a girl-next-door prettiness but I’ve never seen a photo of her that I would call “fierce” or “gorgeous” or “stunning”. Her body is great, sure. But she’s only a known quantity as a model because she was boning Leo. Does this Cavalli look good on her figure? Sure. But the face! The face is so meh. She even looks busted here.

the_beaver_prem_34_wenn3346694

the_beaver_prem_31_wenn3346687

If you’re going to get all hot for a model, why can’t it be Doutzen Kroes? I love her. I love her face. I love her build. I love everything about her. She’s my model crush. I don’t know who did the dress. It’s not important what or who she’s wearing when she’s got that face.

the_beaver_prem_09_wenn3346622

the_beaver_prem_11_wenn3346664

And finally, because for some reason The Beaver red carpet was the hot ticket for models, we have Naomi Campbell and her Russian. She wore Azzedine Alaia and a wig with bangs. I have to admit, she’s one of the few women who can really work the bangs (trauma).

Naomi Campbell in Alexander McQueen at the Met Gala: hilarious or…?

wenn3321224

These photos of Naomi Campbell are maybe THE BEST THINGS EVER. Yes, she’s wearing Alexander McQueen, which is cool, and yes, she chose one of McQueen’s more uncongenial dresses, which is nice to see because McQueen’s odder designs deserve to be recognized as well. BUT HER FACE. Look at her face! Is that the face of someone is happy and content? Is that the face of a supermodel who is twerking it? Nope. That is the face of “I’m going to give you this one, people, because I know you love to laugh.” Actually, she’d probably shove a bedazzled cell phone up your biscuits if you laughed at her face, to her face. Don’t try it!

fp_7249226_metgala_ram_63_256

wenn5647332

As for the dress… I mean, yeah, it’s not really great, in my opinion. But I like that McQueen’s girls wore his stuff to his tribute. And the detailing on the gown really is lovely. Sure, it’s bridal, and that makes Naomi’s married Russian fiancé kind of nervous. But at least it’s not as epically hideous-bridal as Fergie. Or Serena Williams:

wenn5647317

The dress is Oscar de la Renta (is it a wedding dress?). Oh, and it’s a total and epic disaster. FEATHERS. FASCINATOR. FUG.

Naomi Campbell: “I don’t read the papers, I sell papers”

naomi1

This is Naomi Campbell’s cover for the March issue of GQ UK. She gives an interview to the magazine, plus she conducts an interview… with Russia’s former president, Vladimir Putin. It is epic. First, some select quotes from Naomi’s interview. She tells the magazine: “I don’t read the papers. I sell papers.” She also talks about her appearance at Charles Taylor’s war crimes tribunal, saying: “They tried to affect my work. They said the fashion industry shouldn’t use me. But what had I done wrong?” Um, Naomi, you accepted blood diamonds and then you lied about it, repeatedly, to many people. Anyway, the soft-ball Putin interview is a thing of beauty. I guess Naomi feels qualified to interview Putin because she’s had a married Russian bone inside of her for a few years. The full Putin piece is here – it’s amazing how Naomi and Vladimir speak to each other. It’s just… I don’t have words.

Naomi Campbell: You’re in pretty good physical shape. How do you manage to keep yourself so fit?
Vladimir Putin: Probably the same way you do.

Actually, I don’t work out as much as I should, but I do believe that it’s a healthy mind as well as a healthy body that keeps me fit, sound and calm.
Exactly. You just answered your own question.

What’s your fitness regime?
I go to the gym, I swim daily and from time to time I meet with friends and do extra-curricular stuff. I had a good work-out just the day before yesterday.

In the summer you were photographed on a Harley-Davidson at a bikers’ festival in Ukraine. How were you received by the bikers, the Night Wolves?
VP: Well, these are really cool guys, really tough guys. One of them was a really courageous person who travelled a few thousand kilometres on a two-wheeler bike. He’s a handicapped guy with only one leg – he lost it somewhere in Yugoslavia during the war. I’m not the tough guy, those guys are.

NC: You obviously make a great impression on women. How do you feel about the students who posed for you in the calendar? [Female students at Moscow State University in Russia produced rival calendars for Putin's 58th birthday. First, a group of journalism students in lingerie posed for a calendar with suggestive captions, such as: "You put out forest fires, but I'm still burning." Then another group hit back, posing in black, with their mouths taped shut.]
VP: I like the girls a lot, they’re beautiful. I like the calendar but it’s not the most important thing. As for the other one, well, in almost any country, probably in Russia in particular, it’s fashionable to criticise people in power. If you come out in support of someone like me, you’re going to be accused of trying to ingratiate yourself. The girls in the erotic calendar were courageous and they were not scared. As student journalists, they couldn’t fail to understand what might have been said to them after doing this. Nonetheless, they were not deterred and did the calendar anyway. So, frankly, that’s what I liked the most.

NC: You’ve been known to attend bare-knuckle fights. Ever been in one?
VP: No, it’s not my sport; since I was 14, I’ve done judo. But the bare-knuckle fight I attended was very impressive. These guys are tough. I watched the Russian, French and British teams and each and every one of these athletes deserves great credit. There are even women who do it.

NC: Big women?
VP: Not big, just strong women.

[From GQ UK]

If I wanted to read an interview equivalent of fellatio, I would still subscribe to Time Magazine. I expected more from a British men’s magazine. Of course, GQ UK seems to love Naomi, for whatever reason. They’ve had her on their cover so many times. Perhaps she’s beaten all of them into submission.

Is Naomi Campbell being played by her married, Russian billionaire lover?

ellerussia

These are some shots from Naomi Campbell’s appearance on Elle Russia – this is the February issue, I believe. The styling is pretty simple, nothing too extraordinary, but I guess the point is that Naomi has taken another Russian fashion magazine cover. She is trying to be embraced by Russia, because her lover is Russian, and it doesn’t look like he’s getting a divorce any time soon, so she’s pretty much his “kept woman” in Moscow. In other “how the mighty have fallen” news, Naomi’s still-married fiance Vladimir Doronin got Naomi to star in some cheese-fest commercial for a luxury building:

It must be love — Naomi Campbell stripped down to make a commercial for her billionaire boyfriend’s new luxury building in Moscow. Supermodel Campbell is seen writhing in bed, swimming in a pool, working out in a gym and getting ready for the office and then on a night out in a Russian TV and Internet ad for Vladimir Doronin’s swanky apartment building called “Legend of Tsvetnoy.”

As the cheesy spot with a breathy female voice-over in Russian comes to an end, a pouting Campbell coos melodramatically in English: “I listen to your heart, Moscow. Now you know where I stay.” Campbell has been dating Doronin for three years, and although he isn’t yet divorced from wife Ekaterina, rumors keep swirling the pair will eventually marry.

[From Page Six]

Wow, Doronin got one of the biggest supermodels in the world to do a commercial appearance for luxury apartments in Moscow. Do you think Naomi even got paid? I don’t even know… this whole situation between Naomi and Vlad grows stranger by the day. Sometimes I think Naomi has resigned herself to the fact that she will be nothing more than Vlad’s mistress. Other days I think that Naomi will stick with this through the bitter end, and that means waiting out his wife. Mostly I just think she’s being played, and that makes me a little bit happy.

Naomi Campbell’s fiancé spent Christmas with his wife and kids

wenn2984257

Several months ago, I had some new photos of Naomi Campbell and her boyfriend/fiancé Vladamir Doronin out and about in Europe. When I wrote about the photos, I questioned why there wasn’t more reporting on Doronin’s marital status. You see, he’s still married. There are reports that he and his Russian wife – they have several children together – are living apart, and that there are divorce negotiations underway, but those reports have been around since Naomi and Doronin got together, several years ago. My point? Nothing’s happening. So Naomi Campbell is pretty much carrying on, having an international affair, with a man who is still married. And they’ve been doing that for years. It’s sketchy, right?

Anyway, Page Six reports that Doronin spent Christmas with his wife and kids. Oh noes! It’s like he’s just asking to be beaten with a phone.

Naomi Campbell’s Russian billionaire boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, spent Christmas with his wife, Ekaterina, his daughter, Katia, and his mother-in-law before he jetted off for New Year’s with the supermodel.

Sources tell us Doronin, who’s not divorced from Katia despite his public relationship with Campbell, spent the week leading up to Christmas at the Beverly Hills Hotel with his family. Campbell then flew to LA, and she and Vlad headed off to Cabo, Mexico.

A source said, “Despite rumors of a wedding in 2011, he and his wife are nowhere near a divorce settlement.” Reps for Doronin and Campbell couldn’t be reached.

[From Page Six]

Look, I am the kind of person to give many couples the benefit of the doubt as far as jumpoffs/hookups/divorces/separations go. There is an overlap sometimes, and that happens in celebrity couplings, as well as average-person couples. It happens. So be it. But you’ve really got to wonder if this divorce still hasn’t been finalized after all of this time – AND that he’s spending the holidays with his wife and kids – well, maybe he’s never going to marry Naomi. And I’m wondering why people still refer to Naomi as his “fiancée”. Perhaps at this point we should just be calling her his out-in-the-open mistress.
