Britney Spears was photographed wearing a bikini on the beach in Costa Rica, where she’s staying at the home of her former neighbor Mel Gibson. She was seen riding an ATV, frolicking in the surf, and smoking a cigarette. The suspicious stomach that’s caused so much speculation was in full view, and from some angles she really does look pregnant with her third child. If that’s the case, at least she could stop smoking.

The Sun quotes a “spokesperson” as saying “I want to make completely clear that Britney is not pregnant. There’s not going to be a statement – she’s just not.” Are you sure about that?

In “kids say the darndest things” news, Angelina Jolie gave an interview to GMTV in which she mentioned that daughter Zahara thinks she’s pregnant… with a pig. I could understand if Zahara thought Angelina was pregnant with a pig… not even piglets, but a full-sized pig. Angie is huge right now. But apparently Zahara likes pretending she’s pregnant too, and has decided she’ll be having a pig. Nothing wrong with that. It’s certainly one of the more useful animals.

Angelina Jolie says her adopted daughter Zahara thinks she’s going to give birth to a pig. The 3-year-old is trying to be like her mum, who is expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt, 45.

“The kids are excited and they are starting to understand about me being pregnant,” Ange explains. “We’ve had it before with Shiloh so they know what’s going on. Zahara pretends she’s pregnant too and says she has an animal in her tummy. She says the piggy is making her eat all the chocolate brownies.”

And 4-year-old Pax also reckons he’s pregnant.

“Pax says he’s got a baby monkey inside him.” Ange tells GMTV. “So it’s really fun in our house at the moment.”

I really like this idea of getting to pick exactly what it is you’re pregnant with. The other day I was watching this special on baby pandas on NPR’s website, and I decided I really wanted one. If only I’d consulted the Jolie-Pitt children first, I would have found out I could birth my own panda. Seriously, I think this is a good idea all around. Though somebody should probably let Zahara know what’s up at some point. Or in about 25 years she’s going to be really disappointed.

Today Angelina Jolie put all the speculation and rumors to rest and announced that she is indeed having twins. Twins seem to be the “it” baby right now. I’m not sure if it’s possible to special order them, but it seems like a lot of celebs are popping them out lately. Though if Angie did indeed conceived through IVF as has been speculated, it would increase her chance of having multiples.

It’s twins for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt! In an interview that took place in Cannes on Wednesday with the “Today” show’s Natalie Morales, airing Wednesday night on Access Hollywood and in full on Thursday on “Today,” Angelina confirmed the baby news that has been rumored for months.

The twins will be the couple’s 5th & 6th children. Angelina confirmed the news in a side-by-side interview with Jack Black — they are promoting their new Dreamworks animated film, “Kung Fu Panda.” Jack was the first to let the news slip, and then Angelina followed up with her own confirmation.

“You’re gonna have as many as (the) ‘Brady Bunch’ when you have these,” Jack joked.

“It’s confirmed? Is it two?”, Natalie asked.

“Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already,” Angelina responded. “Well, Jack’s just confirmed it actually.”

“Is that true?”, Jack said jokingly.

“Yeah, you did,” Angelina replied.

“Sorry,” Jack concluded.

Angelina said that she and Brad know the sex of the babies, but that they’re keeping that private. Natalie Morales asks if she’s giving birth here or in France, Angelina replied, “Possibly.” Which technically didn’t answer the question – Morales asked if it was one or the other, and Jolie gave that response. So maybe here, maybe there, and maybe on the surface of the moon. Who knows. That’s six kids, collected in a VERY short period of time. Congrats to Brad and Angelina.

Despite hitting the gym near-constantly, Britney has a little belly, which from some angles looks suspiciously like a pregnancy. The Daily Mail reported this earlier in the week, and I was hoping it was another one of those false alarms caused by a smidgeon of bloat. X17 has some new photos of Brit though and they’re pretty worrying. Britney does look pregnant. I hope she’s not, though, for multiple obvious reasons along with the fact that she’s smoking a cigarette in those pictures.

Some commentors on X17’s site accuse the agency of photoshopping the pictures in order to increase traffic, and it’s possible. Others say that the psychiatric medication Britney is on can cause bloating, which may be what we’re seeing here. You hope that just when she’s getting her life together she won’t go and have another baby, but you also kind of know that she’s not one to take precautions or think much beyond the moment. We’ll just have to wait and see. It wouldn’t be the first false pregnancy alarm for Britney.

Britney Spears finally got to see her very pregnant 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn when she flew to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana to attend Jaime Lynn’s baby shower. Britney left Los Angeles via private jet on Friday, and spent most of Saturday afternoon with her mom and little sis. According to Life & Style, Britney, 26, had to butter up her father Jamie to get him to let her attend.

Britney Spears is heading home today for a big reunion with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn, an insider tells Life & Style exclusively. The occasion? Jamie Lynn’s baby shower!

Britney is leaving LA today to arrive in Kentwood, La., in time for tomorrow’s baby shower at mom Lynne Spears’ house, Serenity. Britney was last seen in Kentwood in November 2006. “The shower’s on Saturday at Lynne’s house,” the insider tells Life & Style.

“At first, Jamie [Brit’s dad and also her guardian these days] didn’t think it was a good idea for Brit to go. He thought it might create chaos in Kentwood, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to put Jamie Lynn — or Britney — in the middle of that.

“Britney can’t travel without Jamie’s permission, so she worked really hard to talk him into it; it was so important for her to be there for her little sister. He finally gave in, knowing it’d be good for Brit and Jamie Lynn to finally see each other.”

E! News that Britney is staying at Lynn’s home, and the place was flooded with security and police officers. TMZ has pictures of Britney at the baby shower, hanging out on the porch of her mom’s house smoking a cigarette - but luckily pregnant Jamie Lynn is nowhere in sight. They’re that lovely “from above” type photograph that means TMZ either had a helicopter or some photographers hanging from trees. All for a former pop star’s sister’s baby shower.

Lisa Marie Presley won an apology from the U.K.’s Daily Mail, which implied that she was overweight and overeating. They published some very unflattering photos of Presley, which forced her to announce that she was actually pregnant – well before she planned on it. The Daily Mail didn’t just call Lisa Marie fat – they compared her to her father Elvis, who in his later years developed quite the voracious appetite.

Last month, Britain’s Daily Mail published a photo of Presley, dressed down and without makeup, eating with friends in Los Angeles, and the accompanying article said she was “growing just like her dad.”

Presley’s lawyers sued for libel, and on Friday the newspaper printed an apology. In fact, Presley, 40, felt forced to reveal her pregnancy secret two days after the article appeared. “I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant,” she wrote on her MySpace Celebrity blog.

“My client is deeply upset and offended by this article, especially as it was widely published just as she and her family were meant to be celebrating her happy news,” her legal rep, Simon Smith, said at the time.

I searched for the offending article, and it appears that the Daily Mail has removed it. Their apology is that typical terse stuff that somehow reads, “We’re technically apologizing for calling you fat, but only because we have to.”

On March 4, we published a photograph of Lisa Marie Presley while she was dining with friends. We suggested she might have an unhealthy appetite similar to her late father. We now accept that the suggestion is untrue and apologise to Ms Presley for any distress caused.

Lisa Marie is believed to be expecting twins, but mom Priscilla was sort of tricked by a TMZ photog into answering the question. He asked, “How do you feel about Lisa having twins?” and she said “It feels great!”

The Daily Mail can provide some good articles once in a while, and has decent coverage of Brittan’s bigger stars. But at least a few times a week they seem to run out of stories to cover, and instead of finding something useful they find a bunch of unflattering photographs and dissect people’s appearance. I’d love to say that this will stop them, but there were no financial penalties, so I doubt it. But at least Lisa won a moral victory.

While pregnant teen actress Jamie Lynn Spears may have it easier than most teen moms-to-be in the financial department, her pregnancy has not been without stress and drama - and some of it even revolves around her money. First, there’s the fact that her older sister is a basket case and her parents are so caught up in taking care of her that poor Jamie Lynn seems to be on her own much of the time. Then there’s the father of her child, Casey Aldridge, who is pretty much a backwoods redneck who likes to pull guns on the paparazzi and bring the mother of his unborn child to barf parties. Now, as Jamie Lynn enters the final months of her pregnancy, she is attending therapy and taking parenting classes, while Casey is refusing to sign a prenup, as demanded by stage mom Lynne Spears.

As her June due date draws near, the pregnant 17-year-old is seeking the advice of a life coach near her Kentwood, La. home to deal with her difficult situation. It isn’t just an ordinary fear of childbirth, says in insider. Jamie Lynn is also afraid that the depression that seems to run in her family will overshadow her baby joy…

The pregnant teen is also losing sleep over her relationship with fiance Casey Aldridge. Though she and Casey are engaged, family friends doubt they will ever get married. “He doesn’t seem to be as committed,” the friend explained.

Another family friend added, “Casey and Jamie Lynn might not have the maturity level to get married. At this stage, it’s probably not a good idea.”

Although Jamie Lynn loves Casey, she may be having second thoughts herself. “An engagement is easier to end than a marriage,” says a pal. “Reality is setting in, and she’s freaking out.”

Does Casey want more money? Jamie Lynn is wearing Casey’s ring, but her 19-year-old fiance still hasn’t signed the prenuptial agreement- a document her parents have demanded he agree to before they can wed.

“Casey has had the prenup for a while,” says a Spears family insider. “It’s a sign there could be something wrong.”

Casey could be waiting for a bigger share of Jamie Lynn’s fortune if they divorce - or the teenager may just have cold feet about getting married.

The article also made a big deal out of the fact that Jamie Lynn has been spending a lot of time by herself, leaving Casey at home while she does errands and shops for the baby, but it’s more likely that the kid just doesn’t like being hounded by photographers. As for the prenup, given what happened to her sister, Jamie Lynn would be nuts to move forward on the wedding without one. She may not be worth as much as Britney yet, but she’s worked hard to earn that money and it would be a shame if this kid somehow could lay claim to it. Hopefully these issues will be resolved so she can relax and focus on the birth, but something tells me this situation is only beginning to get out of hand.

Jason Lee and his girlfriend Ceren Alkac are expected a baby together. Lee has a four-year-old son, who he famously (or infamously, depending on your view) named Pilot Inspektor. Yes that’s the real name, and the proper spelling. I’m guessing there’s a 50/50 he’s going to name the kid something like Audio Mekanik. Because nothing’s funnier than messing your kid up right from the start.

My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee and his girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, are expecting a baby, the actor’s rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

The child, who is due in the fall, will be the first for the couple.

Lee, 38, also has a 4-year-old son, Pilot Inspektor, with his ex, actress Beth Riesgraf.

Jason Lee is a Scientologist (though certainly one of the quieter ones), and presumably Ceren Alkac is as well, since they don’t seem to date outside their religion much. If they’re still active in the church, it seems like there’s a pretty good chance Alkac will have one of those famous Scientology silent births. This means there would be no moaning, screaming, or threatening to kill anyone – which sounds downright barbaric to me. One of the only good things about giving birth (aside from the resulting baby) is that you’re allowed to yell all sorts of horrible things at the baby’s father, and he can’t fault you for it. In fact I think he’s supposed to love you more for it. Or at least that’s how it’s going to work for me.

Aside from no death threats, there would be no encouraging doctor chants of “Push!” and absolutely no painkillers. I forgot, that’s one of the other good parts of giving birth. It sounds positively inhuman to me. But congrats to the happy couple, nonetheless.

Ashlee Simpson has her story and she’s sticking to it: People have been saying she’s pregnant for a while, she think it’s personal and she’s not going to address the rumors. She’s basically begging us: “Please keep talking about me and speculating as if you care about the state of my womb. And buy my new album, thanks!”

Ashlee brought her goofy laugh and lousy singing voice to the Ellen Degeneres show yesterday. She said she had an “inseparable relationship” with Pete Wentz, who she referred to as her fiance. She said she cries when she’s apart from him. Ashlee also mentioned that she has “clip on” hair when Ellen asked.

When Ellen asked “Are you or are you not pregnant?” she answered:

“That has been going on [the pregnancy rumors] for quite a while, but that is definitely something that I chose personally not to discuss. Except for the fact maybe, do I look like I had 10 cheeseburgers or something? (stands up briefly) because I don’t think I do.”

Ellen made her promise that she would tell people she was pregnant before J.Lo did, and she pinky swore to do that.

Then Ashlee told a stupid story about how a monkey at a Costa Rican resort stole her designer stuff, name dropping all the labels the crafty primate took.

She also talked about how she worked until 4:00 in the morning with Timbaland.

Ellen busted out asking “Is it a boy or a girl” and Ashlee just laughed again. After Ashlee’s performance, Ellen put her hand on her stomach jokingly.

Nicole Kidman is obviously getting a bit tired of the speculation about her puny baby bump, doing her best to make it look bigger at a United Nations Conference.

Nic’s in NY raising awareness of violence against women, in her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.

I can sympathize with her small bump – I had a minor bulge that well into my eighth month meant I didn’t look terribly pregnant. Unlike Nicole, I didn’t have the entire world aware of my pregnancy, and people just thought I was getting fat.

I was a little surprised to see Nicole Kidman in New York, as on that same day her father was undergoing scheduled heart surgery.

The actress’ sister Antonia revealed the news on Monday (21Apr08) at a TV prizegiving in Sydney.

Collecting the ASTRA Award for Favourite Female Personality, Antonia held back tears as she accepted the honour onstage at the Hordern Pavilion.

She said, “It is a sweet end to a sad day because my dad’s in hospital.”

She refused to reveal more, but reports suggest the Kidman patriarch, a renowned psychologist, underwent scheduled heart surgery hours before his daughter collected her TV award.

I guess the surgery must have been very routine and simple, but they’re still cutting open your chest, swinging open your ribcage and poking around in your chest. I think I’d make the trip to be by dad’s side if I could, and I’m pretty sure the UN would give you the day off. Even the women being subjected to violence would probably understand you needing to be with your dad on that kind of a day.

I guess there was no danger, and Nicole really wanted to fulfill her commitments. She hasn’t got much time left to perform her Ambassador duties with a baby on the way.

Nicole made no mention of her son Connor entering into the film industry, appearing in Seven Pounds with Will Smith. While I think the news was released after her appearance, I also get the impression that Nicole doesn’t see as much of her adopted children with Tom Cruise as what she once did. They (Isabella and Connor) are now 15 and 13 respectively, and probably want to spend more time with their friends than with their parents. Nicole has just bought a home near the Cruise compound in LA, so she might be able to start using that 50/50 shared custody agreement she has with her ex-husband, although it might be too late to reverse the Scientology brainwashing.
