Adam Brody was flirting up a storm with Ashlee Simpson at a recent event. Adam is newly single and has been hitting the LA hot spots with his friends after splitting with gorgeous O.C. costar Rachel Bilson. This news from Star makes it seem like he was being flirty with Ashlee, and they were probably just talking, but maybe these two will hook up at some point:

Adam Brody, 27, and Rachel Bilson, 25, are officially over. Adam was spotted with Ashlee Simpson at the Volkswagen Tiguan Concept party in L.A. on November 28. A source tells Star, “Ashlee was giggling up a storm, like she really loved all the attention.” The two seemed infatuated with one another; Brody couldn’t keep his eyes off of her!

I might call these two the new couple of Adam couldn’t keep his hands off Ashlee, but maybe he was just staring at her because he was amazed at how much her face has changed recently.

Meanwhile Star also says that Ashlee and Lindsay have made up after their public spat over scumbag Wilmer Valderrama. Lindsay was said to have made sure Ashlee and sister Jessica didn’t get into an MTV party she was hosting. Ashlee later said on The Charlotte Church show that she has a song called “I didn’t steal your boyfriend” which is dedicated to Lindsay. (Part is 2:30 minutes into video clip on the linked post.) Now Ashlee and Lindsay were seen arm and arm on November 9th and Star calls them the latest frenemies. (That’s such a popular word lately although it seems like I just learned it last week.)

Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody, The OC’s onscreen and once-offscreen couple, have broken up after two years together. These two were said to be having problems a few weeks ago due to Rachel getting too close to her costar in “The Last Kiss,” Zach Braff. It looks like they parted at some point and were able to keep it a secret for quite a while. Rachel and Adam were seen out separately several times, and it’s not too surprising that they’re no longer together. They were an adorable couple though and this is sad news:

Onscreen lovebirds Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody, who play a cute couple on The O.C. and have also dated offscreen since 2004, have decided to call it quits.

“They’ve been done for a few weeks,” a friend close to the couple tells Life & Style. “They are just done. That’s all there is to it. There’s no drama. They just ended it.”

That may explain why Adam showed up solo to a party on Nov. 28 for the U.S. premiere of Volkswagen’s concept car Tiguan in LA.

“He was definitely acting like a single guy,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style.

According to nightlife insiders in LA, he’s been spending a lot of time without Rachel at the clubs with his guy friends.

Reps for the two would not comment.

I was kind of hoping these two were solid, but they were both just 26 and that seems kind of young to settle down in Hollywood.

The Classic View is now the default homepage due to the way Wordpress manages archives, but you can still switch over to Headline View by choosing the navigation link on the top bar. I may add a cookie to make your homepage selection permanent. I’m focusing on customizing the blog as that’s not my forte and might take me a little while. (If you know how to do this easily, e-mail me at info -at- celebitchy.com. I tried to implement it a while ago, but I did it wrong and it was buggy.)

On the technical side, most all of the permalinks, except for the In Brief section, should be converted to the new format. I have left the old pages up for now, so you may find some of them on the migrated posts with picture pages. They will be removed in a week or two.

Cele|bitchy is just over six months old and has over 1500 posts, so this migration was no small feat. It was a lot of fun getting everything to work though, and I hope it creates a better gossip experience for you!

On Thursday we reported that it looked like trouble for The O.C’s adorable on and off-screen couple, Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody. The pair were spotted separately last week, with a disheleved Brody jamming out at a concert and Bilson getting drunk at clubs with her girlfriends. It looks like we were wrong that the two were having trouble, since Brody and Bilson were caught out shopping by the ever-present paparrazi last week. They’re standing a little far apart, though we wouldn’t read too much into it.

Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson, The O.C.’s onscreen and real life couple, have been going their separate ways lately. Bilson has been photographed drunk and out on the town with girlfriends, and Brody was seen looking scruffy at the Sasquatch music festival in Washington state.

Of course couples don’t have to hang out together constantly, but Brody is looking pretty depressed and scruffy while Bilson is drunk. It seems like something’s going on.

Onscreen and offscreen couple Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson filmed scenes at USC and were friendly to fans on campus according to a student who was there:

It looks like Seth runs into his geeky ex-girlfriend Anna while touring the campus. Anna is sure to mix things up for Seth and Summer’s relationship.

The OC’s creator, Josh Schwartz, admits that he’s having trouble figuring out what to do with The O.C. when the lead characters go to college:

The show could always follow the characters at university, which is the most logical thing to do. No one is going to want to watch it if most of the young cast is gone or replaced.

“Thank you for Smoking” author Christopher Buckley admits that he had no clue who Adam Brody was when he was first looking over the cast list for the film based on his novel. Then his teenage daughter clued him in:

Buckley didn’t have much input in the film, but is very pleased with the result. It is also doing well critically with an 81% overall rating at Rotten Tomatoes.

Thank you for Smoking premiered in NY last night. Celebrities attending included Felicity Huffman, William H Macy, Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson, Kristin Cavalleri, and Selma Blair. Despite the film’s theme only candy cigarettes were served at the after party.

Brody and Macy are featured in the film, which portrays a tobacco lobbyist in a positive light, and takes a humorous stance on the taboo subject of the dangers of smoking.

Samaire Armstrong is set to return to the O.C. this season as Anna. Her character will provide a much-needed challenge for bickering on-screen and real life couple, Summer and Seth.

In a recent interview with gaming site IGN, Armstrong revealed that she thinks she’s tougher than Bilson:

Now that’s a fight we would pay money to see.

The Nylon Magazine Guys Spring 2006 launch party was held last night at the Roosevelt Hotel. Guests included cover boy Adam Brody, his girlfriend Rachel Bilson, and singer Avril Lavigne.
