I know you’ve already seen the pictures of Brad and Angelina and their family in Germany’s Gala magazine. Today I went out and bought the magazine, but got a little sidetracked shopping for clothes. Regardless I’ve scanned these pictures myself and asked my husband to read the article. There’s nothing revelatory in it, and it’s just a recap of other interviews with Brad and Angelina. Sorry they’re a little off-center. I’m not a scanning wiz.

The headline on the pictures reads: No one can destroy this happiness.

TMZ reports that Brad joined Angelina at the Burbank airport during her flying lesson before leaving for Toronto to promote “Babel.” They say they don’t know whether Angelina has her pilot’s license, but TombRadierChronicles says that Angelina bought a $1.5 million plane at the end of August after earning her license:

They also report that pilot Angelina is negotiating with Paramount to do a third Tomb Raider movie, and that the second installment in the series, “Cradle of Life” is the top-grossing movie with a female lead.

Red Bull should pay Angelina Jolie a mint for carrying a can of the stuff while on the way to her flying lesson. It plays right into their “Red Bull gives you wings” campaign. It’s suspicious that she’s carrying the unopened can when she could easily stuff it into her huge purse, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she was on the Red Bull payroll.

Brad Pitt shows that he’s acquiesced to Angelina Jolie’s request to never make their relationship legal by saying that he won’t get married until his gay brothers and sisters can, too.

Notice he doesn’t say they will get married when everyone else in the entire country can, he says they’ll consider it. First of all, it’s about damn time gay marriage was legalized, but it’s never going to happen throughout the whole US. Second, he doesn’t say that if this snowball’s chance in hell happens they’ll actually get married, he says they’ll think about it.

Angelina has been married twice and we all know how well that went for her. She probably figures all marriages are doomed and is avoiding another one. That could be the best thing for their relationship, as she seems like the type who will bolt if she feels confined.

These pictures aren’t that great, but it’s Brad and Angelina, so I don’t need much of an excuse to publish them. They are said to be going to visit Angelina’s ailing mother at the Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills. No word as to why they’re travelling separately, but if Angelina is driving a Range Rover by herself you can bet that the environment is not one of her pet causes.

Wow, I really want to go out and buy some overpriced department store lipgloss after seeing this commercial, or maybe I want to have sex with a gorgeous woman and am sublimating. Whatever. I’m straight and married, so I must just want the makeup.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made a public appearance together at an LA art gallery exhibit opening on 8/23. They admired the black and white photographs but didn’t seem to be thrilled with the paparrazi. It’s a shame the US won’t provide the militia required to support their privacy needs. George Clooney was at the exhibit too.

Maybe the gossip rags will take a week off from speculating that they’re fighting, breaking up, or sleeping apart now that they showed up to something as a couple. No wonder Angelina has such a smug look on her face. I wouldn’t put it past her to leave the hottest piece of male ass on the planet, though. She never seems quite satisfied with stability.

Meanwhile Brad is said to be building a huge house in Missouri to be closer to his folks, who now are said to hate Angelina. Fat chance she’ll spend any time there, but Brad does love building houses:

You know, my mother in law takes over everything when she visits. She cooks every meal, rearranges the house, and cleans everything. The woman doesn’t sit down. She even trims and repots my plants. You think I would be grateful, but she’s a guest and should ask me if she can organize my entire kitchen and leave knicknacks around the house. When I try to talk to her about it all normal-like, she thinks I’m tactless, too.

The point is that I wanted to bitch about her, and to say that maybe Angelina isn’t doing anything wrong. She may just be being herself and Brad’s family is pissed that she’s not sucking up to them like Aniston, and isn’t jumping to take their meddling advice about how to raise her kids. It’s normal not to get along with your in-laws.

Why does Brad Pitt smoke? Is he addicted and/or does he think it looks cool? He could eat his boogers and it would look cool, but smoking is just a nasty habit. It’s not like he’s succumbing to peer pressure on set since he’s hanging with Clooney outside their trailers and Clooney’s got a mouthful of gum.

I live in Switzerland, where everything is clean and healthy except for the damn cigarettes. It’s not taboo to smoke here like it is in America. There’s often no non-smoking section in restaurants, and smoking in public is not frowned upon. Unfortunately that’s changed my opinion of smoking a bit, although I still hate to be around the smoke. Celebrities don’t set a good example by smoking, but they’re just hanging out and don’t intend to be photographed so who am I to judge?

The latest non-news on the Jolie-Pitt relationship claims that Angelina wants to get married at this point, and not in some freaky non-binding ceremony, but for real, while Brad is holding off. They’re also supposedly fighting a lot, with people saying that Angelina’s crazy need to escape is getting on Brad’s nerves.

Now Life and Style is reporting that Brad’s reaching out to his ex Jennifer Aniston, which enrages Angelina:

That sounds like bullshit. People really want to know the dirt on the world’s most famous beautiful couple, and it’s quite easily manufactured for our consumption. Then again, I didn’t believe they were going to Africa until they actually did it, either.

Angelina supposedly got fed up with Brad’s demands that she stay at home and take care of their kids and left their Malibu estate in a huff to stay at a hotel with the kids for a few days. Star Magazine is set to report that she checked into the Hotel Bel Air in Beverly Hills on July 29:

Here are the websites for the Hotel Bel Air and the Hotel Roosevelt so you can see where the famous hotties stayed. I only have one kid, not three, but I’d use any excuse to get away to a spa resort for a few days if I could. Who can blame Angelina?

She must be stressed out being a new mom and I bet she won’t be adopting right away as she seemed to imply in recent interviews.

I was a bit curious about the timeline in this report because didn’t she just step out with Brad and Maddox for lunch? It turns out that was on July 25th, making this timeline possible. Considering the demand for photos of the Jolie-Pitts, it’s surprising that no one has any pictures of her stay at the resort, but that’s probably why she picked the place - and part of the reason why she needed to get away.

There does seem to be a power struggle in Brad and Angelina’s relationship. With Angelina having the upper hand for so long, she must be annoyed that Brad is working and striking out on his own. She’s probably just overwhelmed with motherhood, though. People think this won’t last, but I bet they’ll weather more than a few storms together.

Their newborn is just over two months old, so this isn’t that shocking, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are repotedly sleeping apart because Angelina wants to be near Shiloh while Brad needs his beauty sleep:

This sounds like the time they were staying in that slum in Paris and Brad had to sleep on the couch because Angelina was pregnant and taking up the whole bed.

Star Magazine is reporting that Angelina is not happy with her stretch marks and post-partum body and that’s the real reason she’s keeping Brad out of the bedroom. She supposedly doesn’t want to have sex, which is worrying Brad, but she just had a baby and that sounds pretty normal.

Dana at Dana’s Dirt says that Angelina better put out soon or Brad will lose interest:

Here’s Angelina driving around, looking fierce. Shiloh is said to be in the back seat, but that’s not big news since it’s not like Suri, whose supposed baby seat or stroller has never been photographed.

Now that the first wax baby has been unveiled at Madame Tussaud’s museum, it’s obvious why they didn’t do it sooner. The thing looks like one of those creepy reborn dolls that people paint to look like newborns. My husband’s aunt has one of those things at her house, and we took a picture of it because it fascinated us. We also put my then seven month-old son in the doll’s bed after he fell asleep. (Before you think I dressed him in too-small clothes, those were his backup pants after he had an accident.)

Waxed Angelina looks like a female impersonator, but she isn’t as bad as the wax version of Keira Knightly.

Now that Shiloh is immortalized as an infant, maybe Madame Tussauds can help Tom and Katie dispel those pesky rumors that Suri doesn’t exist. She’s over three months old and has never been photographed, but maybe Katie can bring her in for a personal wax session. A waxed baby Suri would do wonders to make her seem real.
