Avril Lavigne & Chad Kroeger in leather at the Billboard Awards: hilarious?

Here we have some of the lesser fashion from last night’s Billboard Awards. We’ll have more coming up for you shortly. Taylor Swift was the big winner and took home eight awards! She won for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year among others. In this post we’re talking about some of the lesser celebrities and musicians, and who better to start with than engaged Canadian couple Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger? Neither of these two was nominated for anything, although Avril was a presenter. She wore her best black leather strapless mini-dress paired with ridiculous black gladiator shoes and a few extra applications of liquid eyeliner. She accessorized with stacks of rhinestone (I’m guessing) bracelets and a giant cocktail ring to balance out her huge pear-shaped engagement ring. These two look perfect for each other, don’t they?

Also in black we have Hayden Panettiere, who was unfortunately not accompanied by her hulk of a man, boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko. We’ve heard for weeks that Hayden and Wladimir are engaged and yet she hasn’t been wearing a ring. They were just spotted together last week, so I’m not suggesting there’s trouble, just that I bet Wladimir isn’t as gung-ho about getting married as sources would like us to believe.

Hayden is in Halston Heritage. That’s a gorgeous dress that flatters her but it’s a little conservative for this event. I love her styling! Check out the little gems in her hair and her very understated blush-colored makeup accented with green eyeshadow. She’s so pretty.

Jennifer Morrison is also in black, in one of the unfortunate trends of the night – see through gowns. She’s in a designer I’ve never heard of before, Kristian Aadnevik, and this dress is just awful. It looks like something out of the Fredericks catalog. It’s little more than lingerie with a mesh skirt overlay. Morrison rarely gets it right and needs a new stylist. Something nice – her hair and makeup are well done.

Here’s another see through dress, although this certainly isn’t the last of them – Emmy Rossum in polkadot Zuhair Murad. This long fishtail gown is too fancy and fussy, and it looks bizarre with the mesh paneling. Plus her matronly updo is dragging this look down. She looks hot despite all that though, and I really like her makeup.

Jenny McCarthy wore her best black cotton tank top with a blue cut-out glitter skirt paired with platform ankle boots. Trash to the E. This is actually a whole “look” by Tom Ford. Maybe he’s letting his interns design now that he has a baby at home.

Finally Chloe Moretz, 16, was cute in a Fendi minidress. This dress reminds me of some of Emma Watson’s looks and I really like the bold mix of patterns. It would have worked better with some neutral shoes, those clunky checkerboard shoes are overkill.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Giles Deacon at the Met Gala: awesome, ridiculous?

Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the decked out guests at last night’s Met Costume Institute Gala, the theme of which was “Punk from chaos to couture.” It was all about how the punk movement had influenced fashion, and few designers really captured that, in my opinion. In the livestream from the red carpet on Vogue.com (which you can watch there, it’s still available, also the Fug Girls liveblogged it!), they interspersed the interviews with pre-taped segments with designers like Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy. The designers kept saying “pink is the color of punk,” which sounded ridiculous to me. Isn’t black the color of punk? It sounded like an excuse to create the same old gowns, although there were notable exceptions.

Out of all of last night’s ladies, I give Sarah Jessica Parker props for really trying to work it, for trying to capture both high fashion and punk in her look. She was in an abstract print Giles Deacon dress paired with custom-made Louboutin velvet plaid shoes and a custom Phillip Treacy headdress. Some may say she looked ridiculous, but given the theme of the night she nailed it. She also looked like she was having a lotof fun. Her date was Hamish Bowles, the International editor of Vogue.

In contrast, here’s Ashley Olsen looking like a yellow ghost in vintage Dior. This is not punk, this is just some bizarre fairy dream. How does this dress even translate to the theme? (We don’t have pics of Mary-Kate, you can see her equally baffling look here.)

Emmy Rossum was in Donna Karan Atelier. This is a lovely princess dress which would be stunning at a big red carpet event, but again it’s not “punk” per se. Maybe they tried to capture that with her updo and heavy makeup. It’s kind of a miss for this event, but for anything else it would be lovely.

Nina Dobrev wore this kind of amazing Monique Lhuillier black lace bustier pantsuit with a tulle skirt and leather underbra. The outfit was very spot-on for the event, and I would have liked to see her punk it up a little with some daring shoes and more risky hair and makeup. It’s a little too “pretty” but still one of my favorites.

Britney Spears debuts new brunette hair at Elton John’s Oscar party: pretty or mousy?

We’re done with our red carpet Oscar coverage and we’re moving on to the parties. We’ll have photos from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party coming up shortly! I’d like to talk about some of the people at Elton John’s Oscar Party, especially Britney Spears. She looks so different as a brunette, doesn’t she? Britney really changed gears with her styling and she looks thrilled about it. Look at her, the old Britney is almost back, bitches! I’m not even sure I can get used to her as a brunette, but this look is still worlds apart from the blonde hair and heavy black eyeliner she usually sports. What color is her hair now, a kind of honey brown? It’s obvious that a lot of it is fake, but it suits her. Her makeup is too orange but that’s a minor complaint.

Britney’s dress is Michael Cinco Couture. It’s not bad. The deep v-neck is a little much and I don’t like those shoulder pads (No one except Jane Fonda can pull off shoulder pads). It fits well and is flattering, though. I’m impressed. Oh I should mention that there are rumors that Britney’s Vegas deal isn’t going to come to fruition because she never sings live. Those stories don’t ring true for me, because wouldn’t that be a given going into those talks?

Nicole Richie was also sporting a deep v-neck in a loose white dress with black geometric accents. I don’t have a designer ID on it yet but this is similar to Nicole’s past looks – very loose, a little 70s. From the front it’s not bad, but from the side you can see the entire outline of her implant. Not good, cover it up a little. It was nice that her husband Joel Madden came with her, they’ve lasted for a long time and still seem loved-up.

My girl Nina Dobrev hasn’t been hitting the right fashion notes lately and that makes me sad. Here she is in this bold black and white brocade print gown that fits her like a freaking glove but just looks too busy to me. As always her styling is impeccable. Nina was there with her boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, but they didn’t get all pose-y together.

Also there we have the lovely and talented Emmy Rossum, looking way too twee in this Catherine Deane white and silver gown. On its own, with different styling, this dress could work. It’s actually contemporary and striking when you look at the details of the dress. It’s of course Emmy’s styling that’s throwing it off. Her giant drop earrings and that big tiara-like hair headband look ridiculous together.

It’s too bad that Emmy’s movie Beautiful Creatures didn’t take off at the box office. It looked poised to be another Twilight, but I don’t think it got enough promotion.

Emmy Rossum at the Beautiful Creatures premiere: amazing or too formal?

These are photos of the lovely Emmy Rossum at the premiere of Beautiful Creatures, which is out next week. It’s a “supernatural love story” based on a young adult novel, and the plot sounds straight out of the CW. There are rings involved that turn color and change the wearer’s fate when they reach a certain age, and the female supernatural protagonist is struggling with young forbidden love before she learns what will happen to her. Anyway it will probably be a huge hit considering the subject matter, and Emmy is in it as one of the supernatural witches, or “casters.” It also stars Jeremy Irons, Emma Thompson and Viola Davis. (The young couple are new actors I haven’t heard of before, Alice Englert and Alden Ehrenreich.)

Anyway Emmy wore this kind of formal cross-bodice black and white Andrew Gn gown which wouldn’t look out of place at the Academy Awards. It was a little stiff for a premiere, especially with her sophisticated hair and makeup, but it’s still amazing. She looks so well put together and just beautiful. I also like how she poses like she’s happy to be there but isn’t haughty about it. She’s not full of herself, and it shows.

I’m a huge fan of Emmy’s show “Shameless” on Showtime, having been turned on to it by an article on Pajiba. (I was going to take Kaiser’s lead and unsubscribe from Showtime after Homeland wrapped, but then Shameless pulled me back in.) Emmy plays the lead deftly, her character is a young woman who has been caring for her brothers and sisters after her mom left the family in the care of her alcoholic dad. (William H. Macy plays the dad, he’s awesome too, and also Joan Cusack is in it!) I was thrilled to learn, from last week’s US Weekly, that Emmy is currently dating her co-star, Tyler Jacob Moore. He plays Tony the cop on Shameless, and I won’t give more information or spoilers because I want you to check it out if you’re inclined. The show is so worth it.

Also, here’s Beautiful Creatures’ main star, Alice Englert, in Elie Saab. She’s 18. I thought this dress was way too frou-frou, but they like it over at Red Carpet Fashion Awards.

Emmy Rossum works out constantly: ‘I think you should just do something every day’

I don’t really have an opinion of Emmy Rossum. She seems saccharine but harmless, and while I would never have considered her a “good” actress, she’s getting better-than-average reviews on Shameless, and she’s built a decent career for herself. So that was how I came into Emmy’s Self Magazine cover interview – I thought she was sweet and harmless and somewhat “normal”. But I was sort of taken aback by Emmy’s dieting and workout discussion. I mean, it’s Self so of course their cover star is going to be talking about diet and exercise, but I don’t really get Emmy’s system…?

Her favorite workouts: “I like Physique 57, Burn 60 and SoulCycle or Flywheel, because I get positive energy from the people around me. You just can’t be the slacker. And I raise my hand like an idiot whenever the instructor asks if anyone is new to the class. I’m, like, ‘Yep, I’m the loser who hasn’t been here before.’ At least I’m not going to screw myself up by doing it wrong!”

Her quickie weight-loss workout: “When I want to drop weight quickly, I cut back on my cardio and do a lot of weights instead. It’s counterintuitive, because you would think, I should stay on the treadmill for five hours. I also cut out all fruit and eat a lot of protein and vegetables. My go-to moves are walking lunges, leg raises and my favorite: four sets of 15 ballet pliés, holding 8-pound weights.”

She exercises every day: “If I’ve had a meh workout the day before, and I’m still not feeling it, then I’ll do another meh one that day, too. I think you should just do something every day.”

Her longterm goal: “I don’t want to do the Ironman or run 10 miles, but I do want to go up into space one day. It costs [hundreds of thousands] right now, but I hope eventually it will be $500. And I want to make sure my heart is fit enough to handle the trip when I’m 50.”

Her version of “chaos”: “I don’t always make my bed. If my life is in a state of chaos, then I have to make it. But if I’m happy in my life, then I’m OK leaving a little chaos in my house.”

She has cheat days on her diet: “When I was filming Beautiful Creatures, I ate 1,500 calories a day—nutritionist Carrie Wiatt sent me meals from L.A. But I also gave myself two cheat days a week. I’d eat a steak and fries, an ice cream sundae and then go to Pinkberry. Of course, then I’d wake up the next morning and go, ‘Oh, great, I’m eating one poached egg and a green apple. Shoot me in the face.’ But it was totally worth it. Now I can gain back those 6 pounds that I had lost to do the movie.”

She was raised on a macrobiotic diet: “I was raised on a macrobiotic diet, so I was more interested in eating the junk food that other kids were eating, although I’d have to make sure my mom didn’t know. My mom has never owned a saltshaker. Now I have to sneak these contraband little salt packets from take-out restaurants into her house so that I can salt my food.”

Know your limits: “I’m not going to wake up like Gisele tomorrow. That’s just not going to happen. She’s a genetic freak—and stunning. I’m a human being. I’m fit because I make it a priority and it’s part of my job. I also try to stay confident, so 5 pounds up or down doesn’t affect my brain.”

Must love animals: “I don’t like a guy if he doesn’t like my animals. I have a dog, Cinnamon, and a cat.”

She likes where she is right now: “Right now I’m probably in the best shape that I’ve ever been in, although I don’t consider ‘best shape’ to necessarily mean the skinniest. I’ve been fatter and I’ve been skinnier than I am right now, but I’m more at peace than ever.”

[From Self]

Does anyone else think Emmy might benefit from hiring a trainer who actually knows what they’re doing? It seems like Emmy’s system is half-okay – she’s mixing it up, she’s doing different things, she’s working out different ways and different parts of her body, which is great. But I was always taught that it’s important to let your body have a proper rest, and the idea should be to NOT work out every day. And the best way to be fit and strong is to weight train AND do cardio, and it’s weird that she would lose weight just by weight training. Also – I think that being raised on a macrobiotic diet has really messed up her relationship with food as an adult, which is what I always say about Gwyneth Paltrow’s kids too. Gwyneth is basically pushing her severe food issues onto her children and it will affect their relationship to food into adulthood. Apple Martin will become like Emmy Rossum.

Amanda Seyfried in Marios Schwab at Critic’s Choice: miserable or pretty?

Amanda Seyfried

I have to giggle just a bit at poor Amanda Seyfried at last night’s Critic’s Choice awards because, just a few days ago, the actress confessed that her publicist often tells her what dresses to wear on the red carpet. Amanda also added that she usually hates these selections, and the situation usually escalates into a fight, which is followed by Amanda quickly backing down, bucking up, and wearing whatever it is that she is told to wear.

Such is the case with this blue-black Marios Schwab gown that ran with the overrated “see through” lace look on the top with a drapey, crepey shirt that looked like blue seaweed settling around Amanda’s legs. Amanda truly looks like she does not like this dress at all, and I would almost feel sorry for her except that she needs to stand up for herself and make her own decisions on red carpet attire. The cut of this dress is so weird, and the fabric doesn’t settle well around the bust area, but that could be because Amanda is slouching in an attempt to rebel against the sheer awfulness of the dress. Honestly, the only good thing about her outfit are the Roger Vivier black, strappy heels, which isn’t saying much. Amanda does, however, pull off the dramatic eye makeup and gorgeous bun (she has such a great face shape) quite well.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried

Leslie Mann

Leslie Mann looked like a Pepto Bismol nightmare on the red carpet last night. This carnation pink dress by Honor had an offbeat, kicky silhouette with a fitted top over a bubble-shaped skirt, but Leslie doesn’t really have the pluckiness to pull this look off in any color, save for black. Her flat-ironed hair, while gorgeous enough on its own, seemed an odd choice for such a young-looking dress. This was definitely one of the worst looks of the evening.

Leslie Mann

Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum looks amazing here. I actually like this midnight blue, star-themed dress! This is a Carolina Herrera gown, and even though I’m not usually much for hugely ornate, overly embellished details, this dress just looked like a dream on Emmy. The gown itself moved beautifully, and I love the star-printed overlay over the whole dress and the way the belt emphasized Emmy’s tiny waist. Her makeup looked a little bit waxy, but the hair was just romantic enough to be perfect.

Emmy Rossum

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria wore this Monique Lhuillier “hourglass” gown, and I have to say that this dress looks like raspberry-colored crepe paper glued over what would otherwise be an uneventful, shapeless flow of fabric. There’s something about the cut of the high-neck/collar area that bugs, but I can’t put my finger on it. I also think she Eva could have gone with a bolder lip color and played down the eye makeup just a bit.

Eva Longoria

Molly Sims

Molly Sims did herself no favors with this drapey, tent-like dress at all. While I ordinarily would give her a break because she just gave birth early last summer, Molly has been pimping a bunch of workout videos from her fraud trainer, Tracy Anderson. So why did Molly choose to wear an ugly, unflattering tent on the red carpet? Her hair looks lovely, but the makeup is way too severe and clownlike.

Emmy Rossum is so ‘pretty’ & ‘glamorous’ she had trouble scoring an audition

Emmy Rossum

I’m reading Frank McCourt’s Angela’s Ashes right now, which is kind of pathethic because the book’s been out since 1996, and it’s taken me this long to get around to reading McCourt’s rather hilarious take on a poverty-filled Irish Catholic childhood spent at the mercy of an alcoholic father who often spent his paycheck at the pubs. Anyway, I’ve never seen Showtime’s “Shameless,” but the show’s description on the network website seems quite familiar (and like an updated, Americanized version) relative to McCourt’s book. But I could be wrong.

Emmy Rossum, star of Shameless (along with William H. Macy), covers the latest issue of Manhattan magazine in a series of glittering dresses and backdrops. The last time Kaiser wrote about Emmy, she made the hilarious observation that Emmy stood out quite a bit in a one of these things is not like the other” sense in regard to the show’s trailer. Indeed, Emmy says she had trouble from the very beginning with the show’s producers, who refused to grant her an audition because she was too glamorous for the role of the Gallagher family’s eldest daughter, Fiona. Here are the relevant excerpts from Emmy’s interview:

Emmy Rossum

She was so pretty she couldn’t get in the door: “They didn’t want to see me; they wouldn’t even [let me] audition, They thought my image too glamorous, that I couldn’t not be pretty.” She sent a tape of herself in character to the producers, and they were so impressed that she “flew out the next day” to meet them. Three auditions later, Rossum had the part, opposite William H. Macy — and let loose a string of expletives when she found out, which “only seemed to confirm [their] decision.”

She’s very different than Fiona: “I don’t let anything send me into a tailspin. I never have; it’s not in my nature. Fiona is very sexually liberated. She’s also a loudmouth, and there’s safety in that. But I’m not the sex-on-the-first-date kind of girl.”

[From Manhattan magazine]

Certainly, it’s easy to take Emmy’s words out of context and twist things around to make it seem like she’s complaining about being pretty and polished in real life, but obviously (at least from the stills I’ve seen), she has to undergo a pretty regimented makeunder while shooting the series. So what she says makes sense here.

Now how about this photoshoot? Emmy is certainly working the glamour in these slinky dresses, and the wind machine isn’t exactly working overtime. This luxury magazine shoot seems like a clear case of counterprogramming towards Shameless, but Emmy looks like she’s having a lot of fun with it.

Hayden Panettiere in aqua blue at the Critics Choice TV Awards: cute or total mess?

Hayden Panettiere

At the Critics’ Choice Television Awards last night, there were a few hits and plenty of misses. Hayden Panettiere dressed down in a Keepsake “Lost Without You” aqua blue dress that showed off a bit of skin. The dress looks great on her figure but is also very dated. I have no idea why she wore nude peep-toed shoes with this dress either. Her hair and makeup look pretty good though even if she does look slightly too tan at this event. Hayden also has a great smile, which makes any outfit look prettier than it really is.

Hayden Panettiere

Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum fared much better (she was up for Best Actress in a Drama Series) in a Donna Karan gown that had a one-shouldered design and wrapped around her body in a dramatic manner from the back view. The gold, metal-like fabric provided a nice contrast against Emmy’s light skin and dark hair, and the bold pink lipstick is an unexpected touch that also works well. I also love the side-swept hair, which fits the mood of the dress.

Emmy Rossum

Natalie Zea

Natalie Zea … EGADS. I don’t even know where to begin here, but those of you who watch “Justified” (and this past season of “Californication”) will know that Natalie is a gorgeous woman with tons of sex appeal and (relatively) natural beauty. On last night’s red carpet, she worked very hard to destroy all of that. Is she trying to be Cleopatra? The dress itself isn’t a disaster, but those dramatic, overdone earrings and harsh makeup really complete the transformation into a terrible, terrible look. Poor Natalie.

Natalie Zea

Lucy Liu

Lucy Liu won the award for Best Guest Performer in a Drama Series (“Southland”) and looked very feminine yet ravishing at the same time. Lucy wore an Atelier Versace gown in light pink with lots of lace and ruffles. Her loose chignon and soft, girlish makeup set off the look perfectly. I still can’t believe she’s 43 years old.

Lucy Liu

Kate Walsh

Kate Walsh looked incredibly bland on the red carpet last night. There’s nothing wrong with this yellow dress, but she could have dressed it up a bit with an updo and more dramatic makeup.

Kate Walsh

Charlie Hunnam

Charlie Hunnam was there too in a black suit and black tie. It’s a bit monochromatic, and I sort of miss his longish hair from way back. Still, the man is adorable.

Emmy Rossum (24) & Adam Duritz (46) were done two months ago

wenn2812645

This just in: a couple you probably completely forgot about is over! Did you remember that Emmy Rossum and Adam Duritz were dating? I had forgotten. Apparently, they went out for a year, and now they’re over. Actually, they’ve been over for two months already, which is probably why I didn’t even remember that they were going out. Well… at least Emmy didn’t gush about him over and over publicly, you know? Just a step up from Jennifer Love Hewitt, I guess. Nevermind, I just found an interview where she gushed about him… sigh. Do you want to know the age difference? She’s 24, and he’s 46. YIKES.

Emmy Rossum has heard it before: “People say that, ‘Where have you been?’ It’s so weird to me.”

Rossum, 24, tells USA TODAY’s Olivia Barker that she’s been waiting for the right role — and finally found it with her gritty new Showtime series, Shameless, which premieres Jan. 9. She plays Fiona, the oldest of six children of a narcissistic, alcoholic single parent (William H. Macy).

“Hollywood doesn’t provide you with tons of opportunities if you’re a woman,” she says. “I don’t want to go run around in my underwear and be chased by a guy with a knife. When you’re 22 and 23, there’s not much that’s not either, like, silly teen comedies or horror movies.”

Instead, she’s chosen “to work on material that inspires me — where I feel like I can add something to world, even if just little bit.” Getting cast on Shameless, “this is happiest I’ve ever been in my whole life.”

Rossum, who divorced her music producer husband Justin Siegel last year, also reveals that she’s single again: She and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz split two months ago. Nonetheless, “we’re still very close friends,” she says.

[From USA Today]

Sure, there’s totally some of the Jessica Biel/Alba stuff in there – is it that Hollywood is such a difficult place for women in general, or is Hollywood difficult specifically for a less than amazing actress? Put it another way: if you don’t really have the acting skills and you don’t really have the “let me writhe around in my panties like a budget Megan Fox”-ness, you’re not going very far. Plus, there’s no shame in doing television.

Speaking of, they keep showing ads for Shameless before Dexter, so I’m not unfamiliar with Emmy’s latest role. She’s basically playing some kind of trashy, promiscuous, grifter daughter in a family of grifters and ne’er-do-wells, headed up by family patriarch William H. Macy. I was honestly surprised to see her in the ads – I had a moment of “one of these things is not like the other.” Here’s the trailer:

Emmy Rossum on boyfriend Adam Duritz, “I get why chicks dig him”

American Ballet Theatre Hosts The 2009 Fall Gala - Arrivals
Actress Emmy Rossum (Phantom of The Opera, Poseidon), 23, is dating scruffy Counting Crowes frontman Adam Duritz, 45. While Emmy has happily posed together with Adam at several events she won’t actually confirm that she’s dating him. Emmy gave some nice quotes to People about Adam, but basically said she doesn’t talk about her “love life” to the press. Smart woman. Emmy made headlines a couple of months ago with the news that she was getting a divorce from a guy that no one knew she was married to. Her estranged husband, a music executive, was much closer to her in age at 27. So what does Emmy see in Adam? According to Emmy he’s a great guy.

Emmy Rossum “really can’t say” whether Adam Duritz is officially her boyfriend, but she will happily dish on why women love him.

“I get why chicks dig him,” Rossum tells PEOPLE at the grand launch of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. “He’s extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful.”

Rossum, 23, who filed for divorce from her husband last month, has been seen recently on multiple dates with Duritz, 45, who has previously dated Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Arquette.

“I don’t discuss my love life because it’s always misinterpreted or put under the microscope,” she says. “It’s especially annoying when you’re dating someone else who’s well-known, which is why I normally would never go out with a famous guy.”

Has the actress, who just attended the American Ballet Theater Fall gala in New York with Duritz, broken her own rule?

“Let’s put it this way,” she says. “I’d be flattered if someone hit on me tonight, but I really can’t say if I’m available or not.”

After partying in Washington, Rossum will head to the Hamptons International Film Festival to promote Dare, a independent movie she describes as “an edgy art house film exploring the sexuality, awkwardness and loneliness of teenagers – because life really is awkward and funny, isn’t it?”

“I used to be an artsy, quiet, kind of chubby kid – which no one believes,” she says, “but now I’m really comfortable with my body and my sexuality. I can be naked with the lights on.”

[From People]

I was enjoying that little article up until the part where she talked about getting naked with the lights on. I get that the quote is about her new movie, but now all I can picture is her with Duritz – with the lights on. The Huffington Post had a cute slideshow featuring Duritz’s ex girlfriends a couple of weeks ago. He’s had relationships with Courteney Cox, actress Monica Potter, Mary-Louise Parker, TV actress Joanna Going, Jennifer Aniston, Winona Ryder, and Samantha Mathis. They write “Duritz’s latest catch is no fluke for the 45-year-old Counting Crows frontman who has bedded some of the hottest women in Hollywood, all while resembling a pineapple.” That’s a little harsh, but I do see the pineapple resemblance. He’s a respectful, thoughtful pineapple at least.
