I’m starting to believe that Kelsey Grammer is obsessed with his ex-wife, Camille. That would explain why he talks about her in every single interview and continues to go over the details of their split over two and a half years ago. The guy needs to move on, but he’s harping on it for whatever reason: a psychological need, an urge for publicity or maybe an annoying combination of both.

Anyway Kelsey was a guest on The Anderson Cooper show recently and his full interview airs today. He got talking about his favorite subject, Camille, and instead of apologizing to Camille for making her go to the Tony Awards with him before he broke up with her unceremoniously, after his mistress had been living with him for several months, he made it sound like he was doing her a favor. He did admit he made a mistake, but he never said Camille’s name and he apologized to his mistress more than to Camille. Here are some details from the interview:

Anderson: I’ve got to ask you one question and I don’t want to dwell on this but I was a big Real Housewives watcher. Did you ever regret any of those scenes you were in? Because some of them were very awkward like when Camille went and visited you backstage there was this really awkward scene and I felt for you in that scene. I wondered if that was one of those things, you know what I regret the cameras being there.
Kelsey: Yeah, yeah. Oh sure. Well thanks. I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment for the sake of somehow letting her have that moment. It was just ill advised. It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, ‘Listen I’ve met somebody and this hasn’t been working for a long time.’ I regret not doing that. I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so it was very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us.

Anderson: Is there anything you’ve done in your life that you now look back on and regret? That was one of the Twitter questions.
Kelsey: Ooh, boy. There is a ton of things actually that I do regret but I can’t spend my life apologizing. There are several things I regret. I regret that I didn’t spend more time with my daughter Greer. I regret that I didn’t tell Kayte I love her as often as I should but I’m still working on it so it’s okay. We make mistakes in life hopefully with people that know how to forgive. There is an old Chekhov saying, since we are forgiven it’s foolish if you can not forgive.

Kelsey bugs me so much with his excuses and justifications, but at least he knows on some level that what he did was wrong. He’ll probably never grasp what a total a-hole he was, since he continues to be one.

The Anderson Cooper show sent us more details from Kelsey’s interview, and there’s a real gem when he discusses the tattoo of his new wife’s name, Kayte, he got on his hip. He admitted it was Kayte’s idea (which he’s said before) but as for whether Kayte would ever get Kelsey’s name tattooed on her body, Kelsey only said “she’s thinking about it now,” and that “she wants to a white one that’s sort of clear, very subtle.” Do you think this golddigger has a whole game plan worked out and that she’s going to dump Kelsey in a couple of years? I do, at least I’m hoping.

Update: Camille has responded to this, and to the many other recent interviews Kelsey has done about her. She’s shown at lot of restraint in my opinion. She told Radar:

“Kelsey and I shared a life together and have two beautiful children together, and I just wish he would stop the constant barrage of negativity towards me as it’s bad for our children and our respective families. I would hope that Kelsey would say something positive about our life together, so we can be amicable. I have absolutely no ill will towards Kelsey, I keep focused on what is ahead and I don’t look back. I have happy memories about my time with Kelsey, yes, there were sad times, but I focus on the positive times for the sake of our children. I’m just not a negative person.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new memoir, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, is coming out October 1st. It’s fitting that the book cover looks straight out of the 80s, especially the photo of Arnold. He may have been the governor of California up until last year, but in his mind he’s still living in his glory years at the height of his fame, when he used to pull the chicks.

We previously heard that Arnold refused to go to more than one counseling session with Maria to save their marriage. It’s unknown whether he goes into that in the book, but he does describe the incident in which she confronted him about his love child with the maid. The NY Daily News got an advanced copy of the book, and they claim that Arnold writes that he tried to smooth things over with Maria by telling her she was the “perfect wife” and still turned him on. What a total oblivious tool. Arnold is going to be on 60 Minutes this Sunday to promote his book, and there are some advance details from his interview as well. After years of having the wool pulled over her eyes by her husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver settled the score in January 2011 when she blindsided him during a couple’s therapy session with the allegation that he had fathered a child with their housekeeper. Although he had denied it for years, that day – just 24 hours after he left office as the governor of California – he finally came clean. Under the impression that the therapy session was to cope with their transition from public life back to a private one, the “Terminator” action star was caught off guard and revealed, “It’s true,” he writes in his memoir, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Story, which hits bookstores October 1.
Schwarzenegger immediately followed up his admission by begging his wife of 26 years to not leave him. Admitting “it was my screw-up,” he told Shriver that she was the “perfect wife” and that he was still “turned on” by her, according to the New York Daily News, which acquired an advance copy of the book.

In Total Recall, Schwarzenegger, 65, writes that he gave Shriver three “lame” excuses for why he hid Joseph, now 14, the son he fathered with Mildred Baena in 1996 during an extra-marital romp in the family’s Pacific Palisades guest house while Shriver and their children were away. Not only was he embarrassed by his indiscretion, he told her he had a “compulsion for secrecy” and also that he was afraid to tell her family, the very powerful Kennedys. “But instead of doing the right thing, I’d just put the truth in a mental compartment and locked it up where I didn’t deal with it every day,” the former Mr. Universe bodybuilder says.

When Baena gave birth – just months after Shriver delivered her fourth child with Schwarzenegger, Christopher – she put her husband’s name on the birth certificate, and the actor says he wanted to believe that the man was truly that father of Joseph. But as the boy grew older, his resemblance to Schwarzenegger was undeniable … and Shriver had her suspicions. After Baena’s husband left her, Schwarzenegger says he then began secretly supporting her and her family, in addition to keeping her as the family’s housekeeper so he could “control the situation.” He adds that he did nothing wrong politically speaking by hiding his illegitimate child because family values was never his platform. “I blocked out the fact that as a husband and father, as a man with a family and wife, I was letting people down,” he writes.

A few weeks after Schwarzenegger’s admission, Shriver’s father Sargent Shriver died following a battle with dementia. During her eulogy, the grieving daughter stated that her father’s greatest accomplishment was teaching her brothers “how to treat a wife,” a remark that Schwarzenegger believes was a dig “partly directed at me.”
Despite the fact that Shriver, 56, filed for divorce last July (they announced their separation in May 2011), Schwarzenegger writes that he still holds out some hope the two can reconcile, although in a “60 Minutes” interview set to air this Sunday, he adds that the divorce is going forward.

In a preview that aired today, he says that Shriver did not read his book before it was published, and despite the fact that it reveals he had cheated on her, “I think that Maria is wishing me well.”

The two things Schwarzenegger does not go into on “60 Minutes”? His four children with Shriver and love child with Baena. “He felt some obligation to protect them,” says Lesley Stahl, who interviewed the actor. “Otherwise, he sat there and took the questions.”

Yahoo has a clip from the upcoming 60 minutes interview, available here, and Arnold admits that Maria hasn’t yet read his book, but he claims she “wishes him well.” He already publicly humiliated her, how does he think she’s going to feel now that he’s sharing such personal and painful details of their lives? How does he think his kids are going to react to this book? He sounds as self-involved and delusional as Rielle Hunter. He was dumb enough to think that telling Maria he still wanted to sleep with her would somehow comfort her after she learned he was hiding a love child, and he’s still so up his own ass that he thinks he should share that asinine detail with the world. You know, I might actually read this book. Should I be ashamed of that?

I hope this story isn’t true, or that the “friends” that Jason Trawick had with him are the ones who were into the stripper escorts, not him. The story is pretty damning otherwise. According to Star Magazine, so take it for what it is, Britney Spears’ fiance Jason was partying at a bar with his buddies when they spotted some ladies who happened to be professional escorts. Jason is the one who approached them. Then they moved it to a private club where he was feeling up on them. (The strippers, not his friends.) Then they moved it back to the hotel. Oh no. This story sounds way too familiar, like it could be the start of another scandal. I hope not. Here it is:

Jason, 40, was enjoynig a night out with five buddies in the lobby bar of the W Hollywood hotel, when he spotted two provocatively dressed girls and approached them. “He told them they were hot and asked if they wanted a drink,” an insider reports. It turns out those girls, Alina Ratuska and Marina Zog, work as “erotic dancers” for the lifestyle agency Rocka Chick in LA. “They’re paid to party,” the source explains. “They dance, drink and hook up with a lot of celebrities.”

Alina and Marina invited Jason and his friends to the VIP party Kinky Room, an event at the Hollywood hotspot Tru, where they perform. According to the source, Jason was apprehensive about the party, but his friends wanted to go, so they did.

Once at the club, “Jason was really paranoid about being recognized,” the source says. “He kept saying his fiancee expected him to be home. He knew he was somewhere he wasn’t supposed to be.” But that didn’t stop him from getting cozy with Marina. “He had his hands all over her, caressing her legs and back,” the source reveals. “Meanwhile, Alina was dancing in a cage with whips and chains, looking at Jason the entire time. When he wasn’t canoodling with Marina, he was gawking at Alina.

According to a witness, Jason had been drinking rum and cokes all night and seemed pretty inebriated by 1am, when the group left. “His friends had to carry him out,” the insider reveals. “He literally couldn’t walk at this point.”

But the party didn’t end there. Alina and Marina went with them back to the W Hollywood Hotel, where Jason’s friends were staying. “I don’t know what Jason did with Alina and Marina at the after party,” the insider says, “but from how drunk he was and how he was acting toward them, it definitely wasn’t appropriate.”

Maybe this is just a fake story meant to promote these services. They name drop enough. If this is true, this isn’t a case of Jason hanging out at a bar or club with some attractive women who may be industry contacts or his friends’ girlfriends (if you give him the benefit of the doubt). These are strippers and paid escorts. When men take it outside the club back to the hotel, that’s when you have to beware. At least there were five other guys there, so maybe he picked up the chicks and brought them back to the hotel for his “friends.” Or maybe he was too wasted to do anything about it.

At least Britney hasn’t married him yet.

The Daily Beast has a new profile of Arnold Schwarzenegger in light of his upcoming autobiography, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story (GMAB), out October 1st. Apparently the book will cover his affair with the family maid, Mildred Beana, who had his illegitimate kid and went on working for Ahnold’s family for another thirteen years – until Maria got wise to the resemblance between Mildred’s kid and Arnold. The fact that Arnold is going to cover this subject is of course potentially painful for his estranged wife, Maria Shriver, and their kids. Arnold doesn’t care, though, he’s acting like he doesn’t need Maria at all. In Arnold’s mind, he’s still the womanizing, bodybuilding superstar he was in his heyday. This piece fills in some blanks for me about Arnold and Maria’s relationship, and what happened after the whole paternity scandal came out in May, 2011.

According to the Daily Beast’s Laurence Leamer, Maria wanted to reconcile and was willing to forgive Arnold, but he refused to go to more than one session of counseling and he refused to move out of the family mansion, which led her to check into a hotel. Leamer paints Schwarzenegger as a stubborn, foolish ass. It sounds pretty likely to me, and it does jibe with a lot of reports we heard at the time. Leamer also quotes from Mildred Beana’s single interview, with Hello! Magazine, in which described how she broke down crying and begged for forgiveness when Maria asked her point blank if her son was Arnold’s. So Maria is the one who figured it out, and someone in her camp leaked it to the press. Then she was willing to work things out with Arnold, but he wasn’t and seems not to care.

Here’s part of the story:

As Arnold and Maria sorted through the wreckage, the next few months proved a study of two people of very different character. Family members and friends say Maria told them that despite Arnold’s betrayal, she loved her husband still and she believed in marriage. Maria was a Kennedy, and she was a Shriver, brought up never to bring shame to the family. Beyond that, she was a shrewd political woman. Like Hillary Clinton at the time of Monica Lewinsky, Maria was willing to consider standing by Arnold’s side. But she needed time and space to figure out what she could do. She needed quiet, too, and beyond anything she needed this matter to stay private.

Arnold is a very different kind of person. Anything that posed emotional pain or difficulty, he was out of there. He could not understand why Maria could not just forgive and get on with things, and when Maria said she needed a trial separation and told Arnold to move out, family and friends say that he refused. It was his house, and he wasn’t budging.

Maria could not stay with her estranged husband. The California-style mansion had the scent of the affair in every bed and sofa, and wherever Maria looked she saw pictures and memorabilia of her husband. And so she moved into a hotel, where her children came to visit her. She had lost her mother and father within a year, and now she had lost her marriage.

In early May 2011, the couple gave a joint statement to the Los Angeles Times announcing that after 25 years, they had separated. They thought the details of why they were contemplating a divorce were between them, but a week and a half later, the Times ran the story that the couple had “separated after she learned he had fathered a child more than a decade ago with a longtime member of their household staff.” Schwarzenegger has told his advisers that he blames Shriver’s four brothers for having leaked the story to shame their sister into leaving him for good. But the brothers adamantly deny having anything to do with the story. They say they did not try to talk their sister into divorcing Arnold, but only gave her support so that she could decide what to do. When Arnold refused to continue with therapy after the one session, Maria decided she had no choice but to ask for a divorce, people close to the couple say. “If he had character, he would have done what had to be done,” says a family member. “He would have gone to therapy and truly faced what he had done. He probably would have gotten Maria back if he had done that stuff. She truly loved him. She was looking for a basis to go back, but he was incapable of giving it to her.” Their divorce is still being finalized.

Ever the philosopher, Schwarzenegger told his next-door neighbor in Sun Valley, “I think things will work out OK with Maria, but if they don’t, I’m getting me a 20-year-old honey,” according to one of Arnold’s friends.

Schwarzenegger does not seem to realize all that he has lost. He no longer has the wife who brought him to a world beyond the furthest parameters of Hollywood. Everyone who knows Arnold well says that the purest feeling in his life is his love for his children, yet he does not have the affection of his children in the same way he did before. His son Patrick has started calling himself “Patrick Shriver” on his Twitter account. His two daughters, say family members and friends, fear that he wants to use them as part of his campaign to rehabilitate his image. He still tries to protect them, and when 60 Minutes wanted to interview them, according to those close to him, he said no. And yet, I am told by family members, the children remain suspicious of their father’s motives.

In earlier years, Schwarzenegger would have had pals with whom he could discuss his life, but he has turned away from several longtime friends and seems to have no one in whom he can truly confide. He has a movie star’s entourage, but they are not friends. One Saturday night a few weeks ago, Arnold was spotted bicycling by himself through the darkening streets of Santa Monica.

“Arnold’s always been alone,” says a longtime friend who no longer sees him. “It’s just that it’s more obvious, and maybe now even he recognizes something of his fate.”

I’m not really buying this story that Arnold doesn’t have any friends left. I think this is more Maria’s take on his life than reality, but it could be true.

Arnold is going to be on 60 minutes on September 30th as part of his book promotion. I wonder how he’s going to handle questions about this affair, but more than how he’ll talk about what happened with his marriage to Maria. I have the sense he’ll play lip service to he feels bad but that he’s not really feeling it. At least he owned up to having a kid with the help back when we first heard about it.

A few weeks ago I caught a rerun of Frasier and kind of marveled at how Kelsey Grammer has ruined his image over the past couple of years. Sure he cheated on his wife, but a lot of actors and actresses do that and he could have recovered without an issue. It’s the fact that he continues to talk about his personal life extensively in every interview, along with how consistently and thoroughly he trashes his ex, Camille. This guy used to have a kind of aristocratic, snobbish but admirable image thanks to his Frasier character and his formal way of talking. Now he’s just seen as a total a-hole, at least in gossip circles. Maybe that hasn’t extended to the public, which doesn’t have as much interest in him at this point. The more he talks in interviews, the more I think he’s dug himself a very deep hole (where he belongs) and he just keeps on digging.

Anyway, remember how Kelsey pretty much admitted cheating on Camille for over six months while he was away in New York? He told Jimmy Kimmel early this year that he met his current fourth wife Kayte when she was working as a flight attendant in December, 2009, around Christmastime. He said “We actually met in the air on a plane to England. It was very romantic, she was working on the plane. We went out for coffee several days later and had this magical night in the snow in London around Christmastime.” On RHOBH, We saw Kelsey take his unknowing wife, Camille, with him to the Tony Awards on June 13, 2010. He broke the news to her that he wanted out after he made her go with him as his date. So that’s six months he’d been seeing this other woman and Camille was none the wiser.

Well on a new appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show, Kelsey claims that he didn’t sleep with Kayte on the first night, and that he waited “months” to have sex with her. He then managed to get a dig in at his ex, of course, in the process.

“I did want to clear this up…it said something about how Kayte and I met, and then hooked up in London, and then she spent the night with me. Well that’s not true. We kissed that night, and that was it. We didn’t do anything much more than kiss for several months. I just wanted to clear that up… I hadn’t had sex for a decade. It’s not that hard.” – via Team Coco

What. An. Ass. To be fair to a guy who in no way deserves it, Camille did admit on The View that she hadn’t had sex with Kelsey in about two years when they split. The way she explained it, the whole thing was Kelsey’s fault. She said “it was more on his end” and added that Kelsey was more interested in watching Fox News. She also had political differences with him, which we know he takes personally.

Getting back to this story, does it matter if Kelsey didn’t sleep with his jumpoff the first damn night, or if he waited to have sex with her “for several months”? She was living with him and had quit her job months before he dumped Camille. But Kelsey was being deprived at home and instead of actually talking to his wife and trying to work it out, he went behind her back and cheated. He’s so noble because he waited to have sex with his mistress, though. This guy lives in a world where he’s always right.

Anderson and Ben in 2010

I’m still really interested in Anderson Cooper’s lovelife for some reason, and now that we have confirmation that his boyfriend, Ben Maisani, was on the trip to Croatia with him (also attended by Andy Cohen and a few other friends), I’m revising my theory as to how everything went down. As you might remember, we saw some very close-up photos of Ben making out with another guy in the park a little over a week ago. Those photos came out when Anderson was on vacation in Croatia, reportedly with Ben. Later, Anderson posted a photo of Bravo exec and his longtime friend, Andy Cohen, in Croatia, making me wonder if it was Andy who went along on that vacation, not Ben, and if Anderson and Ben had broken up prior to the release of the makeout photos. Not so much. There’s video of Anderson and Ben together in Croatia, and the paparazzi have photos, taken Monday, of both Ben and Anderson leaving the place in New York they share. (You can see those photos on this link.) So they’re either still together as a couple, or they’re at least still living together for now, maybe until one of them can find another place. That’s pretty forgiving of Anderson, or maybe he was broken up with Ben before the trip and they just decided to move forward with their plans or something. Damn, I know we’re never going to get answers on this and it bugs me. I want to know what happened! I mean I adore Anderson Cooper and I know I should have more respect for his privacy, but I’m a nosy bitch. Here’s The Daily Mail’s report:

Anderson Cooper and his partner Ben Maisani were pictured in New York today, both leaving the CNN anchor’s Manhattan townhouse, albeit separately.
Maisani was photographed kissing another man in a public park less than two weeks ago, and the pair were believed to have broken up.

The pictures, accompanied with a video of them on vacation together in Croatia at the weekend, have sparked rumors the couple have reconciled – and perhaps never even broke up.
Cooper was alleged to have gone on the European getaway to get over his broken heart after news of his partner’s alleged cheating emerged.

But it appears the news anchor is the forgiving type. Either that or the video adds more fuel to the fire that the couple are in an open relationship.

The video – shot by Croatian network Dubrovnik Internet Television – shows the two men on the upper deck of the yacht chatting together, before joining Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos.
Ripa and her husband joined in on the European destination last week. Bravo’s Andy Cohen was already there and is believed to have flown out with Cooper a few days earlier.

Maisani and Cooper were also spotted earlier today leaving the Manhattan fire house the pair share. It had been reported that the news anchor asked his partner to move out and had broken off the engagement after the cheating scandal.

We’re not going to figure out at this point if Anderson and Ben are still together, and it sounds like whatever happened, they’re keeping the drama low and are either trying to work things out or peacefully co-existing. Maybe they have an open relationship, although reports claimed Cooper was devastated by those photos. I’m still holding out hope that Anderson and Andy Cohen are a new couple.

As The Daily Mail mentions, Kelly Ripa was also in Croatia on that vacation. An instagram pic that Anderson posted of them together is below. There’s a lot of speculation that Anderson might join Kelly as co-host on her morning show, and Kelly told US Weekly that “We have a connection like nobody else. I worship him!” She added that “the search continues” for her co-host, since Anderson is so busy with his own talkshow and with his CNN show, Anderson Cooper 360.

Yesterday we heard that Anderson Cooper was on vacation in Croatia with his boyfriend when he was confronted with those awful photos of his boyfriend making out with another guy in public. It would have made for an awkward vacation if that was the case – or was it? Cooper recently posted a photo on Instagram of Bravo VP and “Watch What Happens Live” host, Andy Cohen, along with the caption “Look who just took the same Instagram pic as me.” (That picture is above.) That same Instagram pic he’s referring to was a sunset in Croatia, judging by their recent Instagram photos, taken at the same time. (Note: I installed Instagram on my iPad for this story and am not a fan. Why do they limit you to an iPod/iPhone size app and why can’t you use it to see photos on a PC? Update: thanks to Mimi for pointing me to Webstagram. You still need to sign up for Instagram through the app though.)

So this means that Andy and Anderson are on vacation together, and that they might be a new couple! Granted some people are saying that they’ve been friends for years, and that they’re with a group of friends, but I want to believe they’re together. People have been rooting for them to hook up for some time. We’ve heard that Anderson and Andy are friends, and last year The Enquirer ran a story that Andy was hoping to date Anderson, even though Anderson was in a long term relationship.

Maybe those photos of Anderson’s (ex?) boyfriend, Ben Maisani, making out with another guy were staged to send a message that Ben wasn’t the one Anderson was referring to when he wrote that he was gay and that “I love, and I am loved.” Maybe Anderson was in a new relationship with someone who encouraged him to come out of the closet. Maybe Anderson dumped Ben for Andy, and Ben was pissed and wanted to get back at him, prompting Anderson to post that photo of Andy. Whatever went on, it doesn’t look like it’s as cut and dried as we thought.

I’m thinking that In Touch got it wrong and that Anderson wasn’t on vacation with Ben, he was on vacation with Andy. (Andy instagrammed a photo of himself on the water three days ago, so he’s probably been there the whole time.) Yay! I really hope they’re together. I don’t know much about this Ben guy, but he owns a gay bar. I can’t help but think he’s not worthy, you know?

Yesterday we saw photos of Anderson Cooper’s boyfriend making out with another guy. There was no mistaking what was going on, and it wasn’t a too-friendly moment between friends taken out of context. The photos were so close up and explicit that they were compared to the pictures of Kristen Stewart grinding on her director. Some people even thought that they were staged.

I wrote that I was hoping Anderson and his boyfriend had quietly broken up and we just didn’t know about it because he’s so secretive with his private life. According to Life & Style, not so much. Their sources claim that Anderson and his live-in longterm boyfriend, Ben Maisani, were on vacation on a yacht off the coast of Croatia when Anderson found out. What’s more is that they don’t have an open relationship, and apparently that was the first Anderson was hearing about his boyfriend stepping out on him. Cold! Here’s more:

“Anderson was with Ben in Croatia when he was told about the photos,” a source tells Life & Style. “They were on a yacht. They flew to Croatia on Aug. 11, one day after the photos were taken. Anderson’s upset — who wouldn’t be?”

Well I hope Anderson dumps that douche and finds someone worthy. What kind of excuses can you give for getting so thoroughly busted cheating like that? “It was just a one-time thing?,” “We only kissed,” or “It wasn’t serious?” Plus, they were stuck on vacation together! I guess with their kind of money one of them could have changed plans and left on their own afterwards, but I’m envisioning a miserable few days left on vacation after finding out that a partner is cheating on you. It actually happened to a friend of mine, who was on vacation with her girlfriend on a cruise. I’m not kidding! Her girlfriend broke the news to her on the cruise that she’d found someone else, and then proceeded to spend hundreds of dollars calling the other woman. They were stuck in the same room together and it was awful. (I try not to tell stories about my friends, or at least be vague enough that they can’t figure out who I’m talking about, but that was over 10 years ago and I’m pretty sure she won’t mind me gossiping about it.) What a crappy thing for Anderson to have to deal with right after he came out.

Dreamboat news anchor Anderson Cooper came out of the closet just last month after years of speculation. He issued a statement to The Daily Beast that was heartfelt, thoughtful, and detailed his reasons for publicly discussing his orientation, and for not being open about it for so long. He said that he was striving for privacy in his personal life so as not to interfere with his professional obligations as a journalist, but that he didn’t want to give the impression that he was hiding anything. Cooper concluded that “I still consider myself a reserved person and I hope this doesn’t mean an end to a small amount of personal space.” He also seemed to suggest that he was coming out in part because he had a long term partner, but he was vague about it, writing “In my opinion, the ability to love another person is one of God’s greatest gifts, and I thank God every day for enabling me to give and share love with the people in my life.”

His statement was touching and gave the impression that Cooper was in a happy committed relationship. Only that might not be the case anymore. New photos have come out of Cooper’s live-in boyfriend, bar owner Ben Maisani, kissing another man. (We don’t have the pictures, you can see them on The Daily Mail’s website.) The two weren’t just kissing hello in a friendly way, they’re sitting down and holding hands too. It looks like they’re making out and honestly my heart kind of sunk seeing those photos. Can you imagine if you saw pictures of your partner like that with someone else? I would freak. Here’s more:

Anderson Cooper’s next set of tough questions could be reserved for his long-term boyfriend Ben Maisani after pictures of him surfaced kissing another man.

Maisani, 39, was spotted in a close embrace with a dark-haired, muscle-bound man in a New York park.

The images may come as a surprise to the CNN news anchor after it was reported last month that he wanted to marry his partner as soon as Labor Day.

The wedding rumor came several weeks after Cooper, 45, spoke publicly about his sexuality for the first time, saying: ”The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be more happy.’

There was no hint of upset from Cooper last night who looked typically sharp in a navy suit as he joined other A-listers in New York to watch Beyonce perform at the UN headquarters for World Humanitarian Day.

It is believed that Cooper has been dating Maisani, who owns gay bar Eastern Bloc in Manhattan’s East Village for around three years.

The couple live together at Cooper’s converted fire station townhouse and enjoy a low-key lifestyle, working out and going to dinner with friends including Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick.

They were encouraged to marry last year by Anderson’s mother, designer Gloria Vanderbilt. She reportedly helped the pair patch up their relationship after they struggled with conflicting work schedules.

Cooper agreed to cut back on trips abroad, while Maisani said he would do fewer night shifts at his bar. Vanderbilt, 88, was also reportedly encouraging the men to adopt a child.

The story about how Cooper’s mom wanted these two to adopt a child came out last May in the National Enquirer. So whether that was true or not they’re reportedly serious. We know they’ve been together since at least 2009. I only hope that they’ve broken up and that Ben isn’t cheating on Anderson, and he’s not finding out about it through the press. It must have been huge for him to write that e-mail and to come out, and now he has to deal with the very thing he was trying to avoid – press speculation into his personal life. Whatever is going on with his relationship, you know he’s not going to address it.

I just thought of something – maybe this is a case of mistaken identity and that guy isn’t really Ben Maisani. Some of our photo agencies have been doing that lately and mislabeling average people as celebrities. It sure looks like him, but it’s hard to tell.

When Elizabeth Edwards died in December, 2010, her oldest daughter, Cate, was 28 and a Harvard Law school graduate. She also had daughter Emma, then 12, and son Jack, who was 10 at the time. So two of her children were still quite young and she wanted to make sure that they would be well cared for when she died. The Enquirer reported that her will stipulated that “any decisions John makes regarding their younger children must be approved by their daughter Cate.” Elizabeth was reportedly close to Cate, and made sure that her daughter would carry on her wishes after she passed. This included making sure that her husband’s mistress Rielle Hunter and her illegitimate child did not move into the family mansion, that John never married Rielle, and that John’s daughter with Rielle would not inherit any money intended for John and Elizabeth’s children. This part of the Enquirer’s report spells it out, and it’s good:

Elizabeth worked with her lawyers to amend her will to prevent John from pocketing part of the couple’s $53 million fortune if he marries Rielle or lives with her, said the source.

“She also made sure none of the money earmarked for their children ever goes to Rielle’s daughter,” the close source divulged…

“Elizabeth understood John’s responsibility to care for Quinn, but she’s gone to her grave satisfied that the child will never receive any funds intended for their own children,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth also ensured that neither John nor Rielle can touch the family’s multi-million-dollar 28,2000-square foot mansion on 102 acres in Chapel Hill, said the source.

“Elizabeth specified that John cannot call off the sale and move in Rielle and their daughter. That house, along with the family’s vacation home on Figure Eight Island, is now off limits to Rielle,” the source revealed.

So we know Elizabeth was very concerned about Rielle moving in with John, and that she tried to ensure that John would not give this nasty woman any kind of legitimacy or money beyond monthly child support. That’s why I love this story that Elizabeth’s oldest daughter, Cate, now 30, told her dad to dump Rielle after she came out with that horrible book trashing Elizabeth. As we know, he did dump the bitch. Here’s the story, via Radar:

Cate Edwards pressured her father John to call things off with Rielle Hunter, after the baby mama’s new book disrespected the memory of Cate’s late mother Elizabeth Edwards, calling her “a witch on wheels,” among other things.

Insiders tell the National Enquirer that following the release of the controversial book What Really Happened, Cate “feels she received the ultimate slap in the face after she was by her father’s side for six long weeks during the criminal trial.”

“She’s told pals she’ll be there for her little brother and sister (Jack, 12, and Emma Claire, 14, respectively) but isn’t going to speak to her father unless he breaks it off with Rielle,” insiders tell the National Enquirer.

This is not the first time Cate, 30, has made clear her thoughts of Rielle, as she forbid her father from inviting her to her wedding last fall. (John’s and Rielle’s daughter Frances Quinn was invited, but did not go.)

As previously reported, in Rielle’s new book she expresses little remorse about sleeping with a then-married Edwards, even deducing Elizabeth should have been wise to John’s cheating because of her own desolate bed.

“If you aren’t having sex with your partner,” she explains, “chances are high someone else is.”

John was weak enough to take up with this creature, he probably wouldn’t have dumped her without this ultimatum from his daughter. It’s not like he wasn’t screwing whomever would have him on the side, but in her mind Rielle was the head bitch. The rest of us just know her as a head case.

The only photos we have of Cate are from her wedding day in October, 2011. Her dress and her bridesmaids’ dresses are so pretty! It’s sad that her mother couldn’t have been there.
