Pete Doherty got up to all sorts of his usual trouble this week. When he flew into Sweden last weekend for some scheduled performances with his band, Babyshambles, he was so out of it he had to use a wheelchair to reach customs. The Swedish authorities were reluctant to retain him, but after he got out of the wheelchair and rolled around on the floor they were forced to do something and decided to search his luggage.

Due to Pete’s delay at the border, his band Babyshambles went on an hour late for their performance at the Hultsfred Festival in southern Sweden. The police there were suspicious of Pete’s drunken behavior and decided to test his blood for drugs. They found traces of cocaine and a mild tranquilizer, benzodiazepine, which Doherty says he has a prescription for. He was fined $1,900 and released.

At least he seems to be off heroin for a few hours. He was in a rehab clinic in Portugal at the beginning of the month, and his lawyer said treatment was “going well.” In Pete’s case that means he didn’t bust up the place yet.

Doherty later got kicked out of the Debaser club in Stokholm in the middle of a “messy” and drunken performance. A girl was said to be freaking out after she stepped on some broken glass. Doherty was trying to handle the situation by “lashing out at people” and got booted from the club.

Doherty also plans to record a solo album this summer. We bet it has more do with the fact that his bandmates are fed up with him than trying to establish himself as a solo artist.

Doherty’s frequent clashes with authorities may fuel his creative endeavors. He just announced that he’s publishing his diaires that span back years:

Even if it’s total crap and as random and unreadable as Macaulay Culkin’s “book,” you know people will buy it.

Meanwhile Doherty’s ex, Kate Moss, has wisely decided not to publish her memoirs. She was paid a £1million advance by Virgin books to write an autobiography about her cocaine abuse. She decided against it, and is wisely keeping that part of her past private. Moss was embroiled in a scandal in September of last year after a videotape was released of her snorting lines backstage at a Babyshambles concert. She was dropped from modeling campaigns with Chanel and Burberry at the time, but has since landed new lucrative contracts as the face of Nikon and Calvin Klein.

Kate Moss was videotaped doing lines backstage at a Babyshambles concert last September. She was promptly dumped from her modeling contracts with Chanel and Burberry and went to rehab. She got new modeling contracts with Nikon, Calvin Klein, and came back with a vengeance.

She fled England after the scandal broke and was said to be wanted for police questioning, which she avoided for a while. In January she finally spoke to the police, but took the good advice of her lawyers and did not admit to any wrongdoing.

She was expected to be cleared on all charges, and an official announcement was made today. Cops said they couldn’t tell whether Moss was doing amphetamines, cocaine, or ecstasy in the video and since those substances fall under different drug severity classes they can’t charge her with anything and she gets off on a technicality:

It’s not like Kate would be in too much trouble if she actually was prosecuted for using a controlled substance. It seems like Pete Doherty is in court every other week on drugs charges and he hasn’t faced great consequences other than being ordered to rehab.

Johnny Depp and Kate Moss, who split up in 1997 after dating on and off for three years, may play ill-fated lovers Michael Hutchence and Paula Yates in a film about the INXS frontman’s life.

Both Yates and Hutchence are now dead. Hutchence was found dead in November, 1997, in a hotel room in Sydney. He was naked and died of self-suffucation from a leather belt. Yates insisted that Hutchence’s death was an accident, and that he was practicing dangerous auto-erotic asphyxiation, or trying to increase sexual pleasure through lack of oxygen. Yates died in 2000 from a heroin overdose. She was said to be distraught over losing custody of her three ridiculously-named daughters to her ex husband, Bob Geldolf. Yates and Hutchence are survived by a ten year-old daughter, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily. (Yes, that is her name.)

While Moss has her share of drug abuse and tragedy, which may help her relate to her character, it is unclear whether she can act. She has only bit parts to her credit. If she can act it will be an impressive role to add to her resume.

With Johnny Depp in the lead, people are sure to be interested in the film, and it could be an incredible story of the late Hutchence.

Here is Kate Moss leaving her home on 5/25. [via]. Her left cheek looks swollen and there was a report that Pete Doherty hit her, but her publicist insists it’s just a badly angled photograph.

Kate Moss was so pissed off about Pete Doherty’s blood squirting stunt that she asked him to come over to her place. When he arrived she promptly kicked his ass!

At least Doherty didn’t fight back, but we doubt the junkie would have had the strength even if he wanted to. Moss shouldn’t have even bothered with Doherty, though. Why doesn’t she just ignore him? She’s supposed to be dating comic Russell Brand now anyway.

Meanwhile Doherty’s antics have lead his record label, Rough Trade, to drop his group Babyshambles. An source is quoted as saying: “Rough Trade were in the process of renegotiating a deal, but the talks broke down because it just proved to be so difficult to deal with Pete and the people he surrounds himself with.”

Maybe losing his record label will help Pete follow-through on kicking heroin as he’s been planning. It won’t be easy, but he needs it desperately.

Kate Moss has been spotted out with Russell Brand, a British comic and Big Brother presenter who is also a former drug addict. At least he’s sober now:

The rumors about Kate’s involvement with Brand are probably true, because she was spotted buying high-end lingerie at Agent Provacateur recently. She’s got someone in mind to see her new knickers and it’s probably not her on-again off-again boyfriend, Pete Doherty.

Everyone is making fun of Brand for these pictures of him mooning the camera, but that’s nothing compared to the stunts Pete Doherty pulls.

Doherty has vowed to get sober to keep her affections, and is headed to a clinic to take drastic measures:

Doherty most recently squirted a syringe full of blood at an MTV camera and is way overdue for an intervention. Hopefully Kate will stay away, and Pete will realize that he needs sobriety more than any woman.

Kate Moss is now dating Jamie Dornan, the British Wilmer Valderrama. His acting career hasn’t taken off yet, but somehow he’s managed to hook up with plenty of starlets. In case you’re not familiar with Jamie Dornan, he dated Knightly Knightly on and off for about two years. The two split up in August of 2005 amid allegations that Dornan was jealous of Knightly’s career. Dornan’s only credited film on IMDB is the upcoming “Marie Antoinette.”

The Sun has pictures of Pete Doherty injecting heroin into a passed-out woman on his kitchen floor. Kate Moss is shown in another photo sleeping on a bed at Doherty’s house, but she wasn’t there when he drugged the unconscious fan. The pictures were said to be taken in the “past five weeks”:

Doherty was placed on 2 years probation and received orders to attend 18 months of outpatient rehab in drugs posession case last week. He was arrested again on drugs charges on the same day he was sentenced, and was let out on bail.

We thought Doherty might be cleaning up slightly, as he was praised for his efforts by the judge at his sentencing and he bragged of his sobriety at a recent concert. He might be trying, but he won’t escape his past without a great deal of effort.

So Kate Moss doesn’t really care about much since her comeback is in full force. She got an over quarter-million dollar contract with Calvin Klein a couple weeks ago, and now she’s going to represent Nikon cameras:

She’s also rumored to be returning to Burberry after they dropped her during her cocaine scandal last year. Oh and there’s a ridiculous new statue of her.

Everything is not roses with Kate. She was overheard complaining about her lack of a sex life. Her ex, Pete Doherty, with whom she is supposedly back together, bragged that he was sober while at a performance in Ireland this weekend, so that could explain it.

Kate Moss does drugs and gets caught on tape, but gets off scott free. She dates a notorious addict and miscreant, and still gets high profile modeling contracts. Her latest deal is with Calvin Klein for $875,000. She’s 32 years old now so she doesn’t have many modeling years left in her, but given her luck she’ll get endorsement deals into her late 30s and early 40s.

Despite the fact that her looks are the only commodity she has, she smokes. She just doesn’t give a shit, and she may even marry Pete Doherty.

Here’s Moss in NY yesterday outside a restaurant in the West Village. She has a younger brother, Nick, who is also a model, but it was difficult to find information on him and we’re not sure if he’s the young guy in the pictures with her. (There’s a picture of Moss and Nick on the cover of W Magazine, but the guy on the magazine looks older than the one in these pictures. Still, they look similar and it’s hard to tell.)
