Kelly Osbourne and Jasmine Guy both have unpaid debt problems now

wenn3264394
Countless celebrities have made headlines for their inability (or some would call it a refusal) to pay their debts, whether it’s to the IRS or private creditors. Toni Braxton and her recurring bankruptcy woes immediately spring to mind as well as the reigning King of Excess, Nicolas Cage. Now, Kelly Osbourne has joined the very elite “I Don’t Pay My Taxes” club, and she now owes $35,000 to the IRS:

The name of the show “Dancing with the Stars” has been something of a misnomer since Bristol Palin, best known for her role as former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s hypocritical anti-sex ed teen mother, was on the show. Still, the term “star” clearly went to 2009 third place contestant Kelly Osbourne’s head. Like fellow reality television vet Richard Hatch, Osbourne opted out of paying the taxes on her winnings. According to celebrity website TMZ.com, papers recently filed in Los Angeles County say that she owes $34,763.30 in unpaid tax from that year.

How much did Osbourne make that year from “Dancing with the Stars”? No one knows the answer for sure, but one fan site, run by someone with far too much time on his or her hands, broke down the public agreement signed by Shawn Johnson and a Los Angeles County judge due to Johnson’s minor status. Unless Johnson is due some sort of bonus for age or flexibility as a gymnast, or Osbourne is due one as a wannabe singer and the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, the pay starts at $125,000 and goes up based on how long they manage to hang in there. For Osbourne the total would be between $250,000 and $350,000, based on her third-place finish.

[From Yahoo]

wenn5467401
Oh Kelly, after “DWTS” has done so much for both your figure and career resurrection (did she even have one of those in the first place?), you had to go and screw it up in the eyes of the public by deciding not to pay your taxes. That won’t fly on this side of the pond, missy! As a minor added note in the celebrity-debt department, television and film actress Jasmine Guy has just been sued for not paying off her credit card balance:

Former “A Different World” actress Jasmine Guy has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit by American Express, according to court documents obtained by TheWrap.

Guy, who played spoiled rich girl Whitley Gilbert on the “Cosby Show” spinoff, is accused of breach of contract and unjust enrichment in the suit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday.

Specifically, American Express alleges that Guy has blown off the balance on her Delta SkyMiles credit card.

The company is seeking to recoup an outstanding balance of $86,241.03, plus late charges, interest, court costs and attorney’s fees.

Guy, 49, recently had a recurring stint as Sheila Bennett on the CW series “The Vampire Diaries” and, perhaps somewhat ironically, as Judge Nona Daniels on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva.”

Wonder how that character would rule on her case…

[From The Wrap]

I totally get the fact that many people are having difficulty dealing with their debt in this financial climate, and actressing isn’t exactly the most stable profession in the world, but Jasmine Guy has been getting plenty of consistent television work throughout her career. So why blow off a credit card balance, which is likely filled to the brim with luxury purchases and travel-related expenditures? If it were any regular person, Jasmine would lose many further employment possibilities after a prospective employer ran a credit check on her, but she’ll likely continue her career unscathed.

Kelly Osbourne at the Material Girl launch: refreshingly cute or just boring?

wenn3264355

Kelly Osbourne was named the new “face” of Madonna and Lourdes’ Material Girl clothing line for Macy’s, shortly after Raccoon McPantless was ousted. We’ve already seen Kelly’s ads, which I found refreshingly cute and sweet, and totally appropriate for a juniors’ line. These new photos are from some kind of formal event for Material Girl – Kelly showed up, walked a red carpet, and then did a sit-down interview in front of an audience, I think. And because Kelly isn’t Raccoon-like, the whole event went off without a hitch.

This is kind of a boring sidenote, but whatever: I really like Kelly’s hair these days. I love the cut, the layers, and the color. This is maybe the best hair she’s ever had, in my opinion. It softens her face (that jaw!), it makes her look younger and prettier and just more pulled together. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of this outfit, but I suspect she’s wearing head-to-toe Material Girl, so whatever. Cute.

Kelly Osbourne’s new Material Girl ads: adorable or boring?

ko1

These are the new, just-released ads for Madonna and Lourdes’s Material Girl line for Macy’s, starring none other than Kelly Osbourne. Our beloved Raccoon McPantless was fired from the Material Girl modeling gig last month, with Kelly announced as the replacement almost immediately. I have to admit, I bitched and moaned about Kelly fronting a campaign like this – I thought it was a stupid choice, considering it’s a juniors line, and Kelly is simply a weird pick as a model. But… these ads are kind of cute. Kelly looks… kind of adorable. Sorry for the weird cropping on these ads, by the way – I detest Just Jared’s watermark, so I crop around it. Still, you can get the gist of the ads.

In her ads as the new face of Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon’s clothing line, Material Girl, Kelly Osbourne is showing off her colorful side — and both Kelly and Lourdes are talking to PEOPLE about their fashion favorites for the upcoming spring season.

“The military jacket. I love that and I put it with a bunch of badges on it to make it my own, too,” Leon said recently, whereas Osbourne points to the accessories.

“The shoes–there’s a pair of nude heels that I’m really obsessed with,” Osbourne gushed. “There’s so much stuff in it that’s so me and what I wear. There’s a leopard dress that I get to wear next that I’m excited about. I love prints,” she said.

When it comes to clothes for warmer weather, it’s shorts for spring that are all the rage for the girls.

“I’m like obsessed with them,” said Lourdes. But one of the greatest things about the line, Osbourne observes, is that it’s accessible to everyone. “There’s not many other companies besides Material Girl that do clothes at an affordable price that are high fashion and [are] what people see in the magazines and can emulate themselves without having to go and spend $1000 on a dress,” she said.

And one of the most important aspects of the line for 14 year old Lourdes was making sure that other girls her age could buy great clothes without breaking the bank.

“I don’t go out and buy all of these expensive [clothes]…so it’s good for my friends. It’s good for everybody and it’s good clothing, too.”

[From People]

I think it works with Kelly because she is rather girlish and gushy, like Lola. Kelly and Lola sound like they’re at the same level of maturity – like Lola is too mature and Kelly is too immature. Raccoon McPantless failed because she’s 17-going-on-44, with a smoker’s rasp and no pants. Raccoon also looked like a sellout, where Kellly doesn’t really have anything to “sell out”. I also think Kelly works as the face of the campaign because she’s NOT some fashion-y waif – she’s accessible, she’s a bit silly, and she’s having fun. Which ends up working for a juniors line.

Rumer Willis, fashion girl, befriends Kelly Osbourne at Badgley-Mischka’s show

fp_6770492_guest_badgleymischka_nyc_22_26

As we now know, Rumer Willis is a fashion girl. She’s even being paid to “model”! She’s the face of Badgley-Mischka’s new season, you may remember – her ads are here. So Rumer, as the “face”, was invited to sit front-row at Badgley-Mischka’s runway show at Fashion Week. You mean they didn’t ask her to walk the runaway?!? LOL. I’m assuming B-M dressed her in this mint-green sack monstrosity, (which even Angelina Jolie would toss). Rumer has been getting skinnier and skinnier (except her face never seems to lose weight…?) and B-M will only put her in a sack dress? That sucks. She wanted to show off her new super-thin model figure!

Anyway, the original title for this post was “Rumer Willis looks pretty when she stands next to Kelly Osbourne”. Totally rude and mean and nasty, I know, which is why I changed it, so stop yelling at me. What’s really wrong is that I don’t flat-out hate either Kelly or Rumer. I just think they’ve coasted, without talent, on their parents’ names for so long, and I think it’s funny that two young women with so much in common ended up sitting next to each other at a runway show. They even look friendly! It just fits.

Transsexual who cheated with Kelly Osbourne’s ex speaks out

wenn5450408
Kelly Osbourne really went off on her ex fiance, Luke Worrall, on Twitter a month ago. She called him “the worst thing that ever happened to me” and wrote that “he has been trying to get back with me… Meanwhile, he has been f***ing hundreds of girls…behind my back.” One of those people that Luck was f*cking wasn’t technically a girl. A transsexual model who goes by the name Elle Schneider told US Weekly that she slept with Luke when he was engaged to Kelly and told her he was single. (You can see Elle’s pictures here and here.) She also gave details about how he wooed her again in November, claiming to have split with Kelly. Meanwhile he was trying to appeal to Kelly too and was working to get back in her good graces.

Schneider, who spoke exclusively to UsMagazine.com on Jan. 24, tells Us that she was approached by model Worrall “a year and a few months ago” at an NYC club. “I didn’t know that he was engaged” to Osbourne, 26, she points out.

After exchanging numbers, the duo spent the night together at Schneider’s room at the Four Seasons Hotel, and she says there was no doubt that Worrall knew about her transgendered status: “He knew instantaneously when he met me that night…He was definitely not turned off by it at any point. In fact, he was turned on. He made it very obvious.”

Following their rendez vous at the Four Seasons, Worrrall and Schneider lost touch. “Luke is only the second guy I’ve ever slept with,” she adds. “And I had no idea what was going on [with Kelly].”

But in November 2010, Worrall reached out to her via Twitter, Schneider says, adding: “He told me that everything with Kelly was over.” After regularly skyping each other, the two reunited for two days in London last December.

Little did she know, however, that Worrall was simultaneously trying to reconcile with Osbourne. Although his engagement to Osbourne was still off, Schneider says, “they were still trying to work things out”. At least until Osbourne discovered his online messages with Schneider. (Osbourne famously went on a Twitter against her ex around that time, without specifically explaining the situation.)

“[He] immediately he told her that I was just a friend,” Schneider says. “That he had nothing with me. But I guess she saw right through it. It was quite obvious through the messages that he was sending me that that was lie.”

Osbourne then reached out to Schneider via Facebook. “She let me know that he had broken her heart once again because he basically cheated on her with me. They were not officially broken up; she just couldn’t believe he had done this to her again.”

Osbourne and Schneider have since developed unlikely friendship and have chatted “for hours,” Schneider tells Us. “I gave her an idea of who I was. I was never mean, I was never doubtful so she had to say I always believed in her. And I was always there to listen when she would cry or call me. And she told me ‘you know I understand what he sees in you and I respect that’. I [have] no ill intent towards her. She and I are still good friends.”

[From US Weekly]

Elle came across very well there, and it sounds like Kelly has co-signed her admission of the affair. Maybe Kelly initially befriended her for that purpose. I wouldn’t put it past her. Meanwhile Kelly has a new boyfriend and it looks like she’s rebounding hard. The guy gives off the same kind of “not quite straight” vibe as her ex, Luke, to put it delicately. She loves the effeminate type. Hopefully this one can keep it in his pants and isn’t seeking something that, uh, Kelly can’t give him. At least she never married that Luke douche.

Kelly Osbourne replaces Raccoon McPantless as the face of Material Girl

wenn3169095

This is weird news. After less than a year as “the face” of Madonna and Lourdes’s Material Girl line for Macy’s, Raccoon McPantless has been replaced. In and of itself, Raccoon getting fired is not a big deal – she gets fired all the time. She’s a very unprofessional raccoon. But her replacement is extremely odd… it’s Kelly Osbourne. Like, Kelly “I Lost Weight But I’m Still Really Vapid, BUT I’M THIN” Osbourne. No disrespect, but would you why would anyone want their clothes associated with Kelly? I’m honestly not trying to be mean. Is Kelly a fashionista? Nope. Is she known for wearing interesting things? Nope. I just don’t get it.

Kelly Osbourne is a material girl. The E! Fashion Police co-host, 26, will take over the spokesperson role previously held by Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen.

“Material Girl is thrilled to confirm that Kelly Osbourne is the new face for 2011! We will be sharing all the details on this exciting new campaign in the upcoming weeks,” the rep confirms to UsMagazine.com.

Material Girl, designed by Madonna and her 14-year-old daughter, Lourdes, launched last summer with Momsen, 17, as its first spokesperson. On January 11, Lourdes, who writes the fashion label’s blog, announced the line was “desperately seeking” a new face.

Osbourne, it seems, was the natural choice. “Kelly’s always been a massive fan of Madonna and recently heard Lourdes idolized her, which she was very flattered by. It’s a huge coup,” a source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror.

The replacement is the latest hiccup for Momsen: In November she was reportedly suspended from Gossip Girl due to bad behavior. And in a December interview with Revolver magazine, Momsen blamed her parents for her “miserable attitude,” which she later apologized for.

[From Us Weekly]

Poor Raccoon. I mean, I’m glad she was ousted and I’m glad that whatever friendship Lola and Raccoon might have had is now over – Raccoon is a horrible influence. But surely they could have found someone else – someone more interesting – in this demographic who could appeal to the tweens? I don’t know… like, Zoe Kravitz? Jennifer Lawrence? One of the Fanning girls? Ugh.

Kelly Osbourne covers Cosmo UK, talks about her ex, rolls out new boyfriend

cosmouk

Was it last week? Yeah. Kelly Osbourne got into some huge Twitter rage rant about her ex, Luke Worrall. I was wrong when I initially wrote about the Twitter rant – I thought that Kelly was simply claiming that Luke was screwing around with multiple women. But no, she also claimed that he was boning dudes too. Which means it’s totally possible that the blind item could be true – Luke and Jack? Eh. Anyway, Kelly is the cover girl for the February issue of Cosmopolitan UK, and… I think this interview was done before the Twitter meltdown:

Kelly Osbourne and Luke Worrall split up almost six months ago. But Osbourne says she’s still not over her ex-fiancé, and hasn’t slept with anyone since.

“I think we need to spend time working on ourselves, but it doesn’t erase the fact that I’m head over heels in love with him … I haven’t been with anyone since Luke,” Osbourne tells the February issue of British Cosmopolitan, on newsstands Jan. 6.

But there is anger there, too – as evidenced by Osbourne and Worrall’s verbal spat on Twitter over the holidays, during which Osbourne wrote, “All he did was use me,” and added, “all girls beware!”

In the Cosmo interview, which presumably pre-dates the holidays, Osbourne is more magnanimous. “I’m 26, and Luke is 21,” she says. “We still have a lot to learn about life. A lot of mistakes were made, a lot of bad things were said.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Osbourne talks about how she gained weight after getting out of rehab – and then found the motivation to slim down while performing on Dancing with the Stars.

“I replaced drugs with food,” she says. “I was emotionally eating and hated the way I looked, but I couldn’t mask my self-loathing with pills anymore.”

But the weight gain brought its own problems. “When you’re a fat girl in Hollywood, it’s not fun,” Osbourne says. “You never get looked at the way skinny girls do. I covered it up with my humor, but suddenly I found myself unfunny and hated what I saw.”

Things changed when she was asked to do Dancing with the Stars, which she ended up almost winning. “I only did it to lose weight,” she says. “I made a life change and re-educated myself about food and eating right. I didn’t know anything before about eating in moderation.”

Now, she says, she’s more confident than she’s ever been, despite the heartache she’s suffered. “People forget that I was 15 when I was thrown into the limelight,” she says. “The teenage years were the hardest of my life. I found that, as I’ve grown older, I’ve finally learnt what makes me comfortable.”

[From People]

Yeah, I don’t believe she’s learned from her mistakes, then or now. And I love that she’s claiming in this interview that she hasn’t been with anyone since Luke, and it’s the same day she’s rolling out her new boyfriend – go to Us Weekly to see the photo of Kelly and her new guy, Rob Damiani. They met a few days ago. Honestly, you just have to go look at the photo – it’s awesome. The guy is beeping on my gaydar HARD. Even CB said “Why does Kelly always end up with the gay ones?” Sigh… poor Kelly.

Kelly Osbourne slams her ex on Twitter: “I am and always will be too good for him”

Kelly Osbourne with (l) Luke Worrall.arrives at the US Weekly Hot Hollywood Party 2010.Drai's at the W Hotel Hollywood.Los Angeles, CA.April 22, 2010.2010 Kathy Hutchins / Hutchins Photo... Photo via Newscom

Back in July of this year, Kelly Osbourne very publicly dumped her boyfriend/fiancé Luke Worrall, a pale model type. They were together for two years, and Kelly seemed to accuse Luke of cheating on her when they split. Many even wondered if Kelly and Luke (and Kelly’s brother Jack) were the subjects of this particularly nasty blind item – but I doubt they were. Anyway, Kelly has just completely LOST IT on her Twitter feed, accusing Luke of all kinds of scandals and cheating and such. Much of the language is NSFW, so if you’d like to read the unedited tweets, go here to Kelly’s Twitter. Here are the basics:

Major holiday drama for Kelly Osbourne. Late Monday and early Tuesday, the 26-year-old E! Fashion Police critic went off on an expletive-laden rant on ex-fiance Luke Worrall, with whom she parted ways in July after nearly two years together.

At first, Osbourne was vague, Tweeting: “Just found something out that has hurt my feelings so bad :( and christmas was going so well.”

She added cryptically: “What do you do when someone lies in the darkest way and you try to tell the person that was lied to but they don’t believe you? I think the best part of this situation is that I have been painted out to be the crazy one when all I did was tell the honest to God truth.”

Finally, Osbourne (who is reportedly back in London for the holidays with parents Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and her siblings) took aim at her British model ex, suggesting that a failed Christmas reconciliation went down. “Luke Worrall is the biggest piece of s**, he has been trying to get back with me, I only came home for Xmas to see him. Meanwhile, he has been f***ing hundreds of girls…behind my back.”

She angrily continued: “All he did was use me. All girls, beware of @Luke_worral he is a using C***! He used me for my money and a free ride. He is lucky I am not spilling the whole truth about what he did!”

“He is the worst thing that ever happened to me,” Osbourne sniped. “I don’t give a f*** what happens to him anymore…I am and always will be too good for him…Darling, your pretty face will only get you so far because you don’t have the brains to back it up.”

“Don’t think I have ever felt so stupid,” she added. “He made a fool of me.”

Explaining that she’s going “off Twitter for a while,” Osbourne noted, “never felt [heartbroken] like this in my life.”

[From Us Weekly]

All this drama… it’s sad. I feel bad for Kelly, and I think for her to go off like this publicly… well, Luke probably was a major bastard. But why even talk to him once you’ve broken off your engagement after he was boning other chicks? That would a dealbreaker not only for the engagement, but for any kind of relationship (for me, anyway). Luke’s a douche, Kelly. Move on, girl.

Also – after skimming Kelly’s Twitter feed, I feel it’s safe to say that the girl has a major homonym problem. It happens to the best of us, but enough with the brake/break issues!

Kelly Osbourne in a bikini for Shape Mag: adorable or enough already?

shape1

Kelly Osbourne is the December cover girl for Shape Magazine. I have mixed feelings about this. One on side, I’m really happy that Kelly has gotten healthier and that she has achieved her goal of losing weight and keeping it off, and I know she’s really proud of herself, etc. On the other side, I feel like a bitch for thinking to myself “We get it, Kelly, you lost weight and now all you can talk about is how hot you are and how you are competition for all of the hot Hollywood girls, please shut up.” NOW DON’T YELL AT ME. I think she looks great these days, and I’m happy for her. Sigh… whatever. Here are some excerpts from her Shape interview:

Kelly Osbourne on body image: “I was called fat and ugly in the press almost my entire life. I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self esteem. It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way. I was so angry about the things people said about me. I truly believe it’s the main reason I turned to Vicodin and ended up in rehab three times. I just hated myself.”

On diet and exercise: Calling herself an “emotional eater,” Osbourne’s path to healthy living began when she appeared on Dancing with the Stars. Her partner Louis van Amstel filled her in on nutrition habits like eating a high-protein, low-carb diet. “He made me eat turkey burgers and salads…Then I started losing weight and realized, ‘Oh, it’s true what they say: Diet and exercise really work!’ ”

Continuing the exercise: “My girlfriends and I just started doing plyometrics,” she added. “It’s a killer—it hurts so much. But when you walk out of there, you’re like, ‘I can’t believe I just did that and my body looks this good.’”

Losing 50 pounds over all: “I used to eat chips and cookies and drink soda all day long,” she admitted. “I had to start making better choices. [Now] I indulge with pizza and cheese—I love Brie—and have cookies sometimes. But now, when I’m full? I stop eating! It may have taken me 26 years to figure it out, but I’ve finally learned how to do it right.”

Kelly said she cried when she saw the Shape cover: “I never thought in a million years I’d be that healthy girl who wakes up every morning to exercise,” Kelly says. “I’m rocking a bikini!”

She exercises six days a week: “I just commit to half an hour a day,” says the reality star. “It doesn’t seem overwhelming and I can handle that. I do half an hour on the treadmill and when I feel like doing more, I’ll do a few sit-ups and some weights.”

On being a simple size: “Now every designer will send me anything that I want, and I can’t believe that I am in this situation,” Osbourne gushes. “I opened up all of these zip bags last night from Marchesa — off the runway — and I can’t believe that it fits me.”

[From Radar & The Examiner]

Yes, because fitting into the sample size is all that’s important in life. I know that’s not what she was saying, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a moment in my teenage or adult life where I could have ever fit into a simple size, but really? You get to wear some free Marchesa clothes and that makes it all worth it? I’d say getting Marchesa clothes sent to you is a good enough reason to keep some extra weight on. Now, if it was Burberry, my ass would be going to the gym like a fiend too.

Kelly Osbourne’s barely-there dress: cute or trashy?

dancing_with_the_stars_20_wenn3075903

I was going to make fun of Kelly Osbourne for wearing this completely tragic mess of a dress, but I think she just wore it because the event was for Dancing With the Stars, and she wanted to look budget and ice-dancery to fit in. Still, this junk is not flattering at all. Kelly’s figure is really cute, and she definitely looks toned and healthy. That being said, she can’t just wear anything you know? She’s still got to be conscious of dressing for her body type, and this dress just makes her look like hell.

Anyway, Kelly actually came out and spoke a little bit during DWTS’s 200th show…? I think? I didn’t watch it, I was watching a DVD of Poirot (it was good too), because I’m awesome. According to The Daily Mail, Kelly talked about how much she liked Bristol Palin. Bristol was “recreating” a dance Kelly did, and Kelly said: “It’s going to be really hard to re-interpret that because it meant something so much different to me. But with Bristol she’s got so much heart and that’s what I’m looking for, honesty and heart, she’s the only one who’s not a performer on this show, and she’s come on and she’s working her butt off and I’ve got so much respect for her.” Here’s a clip from the show:

And lastly, here’s Bristol Palin. Is she getting kicked off this week?
