Sharon Osbourne is developing her own talk show behind “The Talk’s” back

wenn3479017
We’ve heard all sorts of stories about problems on that ensemble women’s talk show, The Talk. Since none of us watch it or particularly care about any of the people involved, we’ve just pointed and laughed. This is another story about nonsense with that show although the gossip gets better. The Talk is run by Julie Chen, who is said to be a bossy bitch and to have caused co-hosts Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini to leave after the first season. (Side note: There were rumors that Kate Gosselin might be joining them, but I just read that Molly Shannon is a new co-host this next season and we’ve already heard that Kris Jenner is a fill-in host.)

Sharon Osbourne and her Madame face are still on that mess since she’s contractually obligated or something, although she’s “taking a break” soon. But she’s scheming to produce another talk show behind Julie Chen’s back (or not so much, after this report) and it will include her fired former co-hosts Lean Remini and Holly Robinson Peete! This is some priceless gossip.

“The Talk” co-host Sharon Osbourne is secretly plotting to develop her own gabfest behind Julie Chen’s back!

The Enquirer has learned that Sharon has been holding hush-hush meetings with former co-hosts and close pals Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini, who were dumped from “The Talk” after one season following skirmishes with Julie.

“Sharon wants to put together a daily talk show with Leah and Holly at the helm,” divulged an insider. “It’s no secret that Sharon doesn’t want to work with Julie, but since she’s contractually bound to co-host ‘The Talk,’ she’ll only produce this new project.

“You can bet Julie won’t be happy when she hears what Sharon’s planning!…

“Sharon hopes CBS will let her out of her contract early so she and Holly and Leah can all be on TV together again.”

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, September 26, 2011]

I won’t watch either of these shows unless Joel McHale is on and takes off his shirt, but this is so awesome. I doubt that Sharon’s show will be a fraction as interesting as the news of this professional bitch fight, but still I wish her enough success to stick it to Julie. I don’t particularly like Sharon, (or Leah or Holly) but this story gave me a lot of joy this morning.

Remember that lousy talk show that Sharon Osbourne had in the early 2000s? She had a shabby chic set and was always propped up on pillows and cuddling her little dogs. Sometimes Ozzy would come on via satellite and you couldn’t understand a word that dude mumbled. It got canceled after a year and was really boring. So I doubt Sharon can helm her own show again, even with backup. Still, this will piss off her boss immensely.

Leah Remini, Julie Chen & the ladies of ‘The Talk’ are bitch-fighting

Do you ever watch The Talk? It’s the CBS knockoff of The View, starring a motley crew of Julie Chen, cat-faced Sharon Osbourne, Scientologist Leah Remini and out-lesbian Sara Gilbert and no-adjectives Marisa Jaret Winokur and Holly Robinson Peete. I think I’ve seen part of a few episodes, but it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is the bitchfight, and it seems like there’s something going down off-set at The Talk. I always forget that Julie Chen is married to CBS president Les Moonves – and apparently, because she’s married to the boss, she thinks she gets to order everybody around:

Julie Chen’s “queen bee attitude” is forcing the ladies of CBS’s “The Talk” to flee the daytime gab-fest after just one season. Sources say fed-up Leah Remini plans to quit on the heels of Sharon Osbourne’s bombshell that she’s taking a break. Co-host Holly Robinson Peete last week said she will not return for Season 2.

The last straw for Osbourne and Remini was Chen’s order, passed down from her master-of- the-universe husband, CBS President Les Moonves, following their South of France break, that the women were not allowed to discuss the Casey Anthony case without her because she’s the only host with journalistic credentials.

“[Julie] said, ‘My husband feels strongly that you should not be talking about news [without me], you are not news people,’ ” our source told us. “Sharon just said, ‘I don’t know about this.’ She’d had enough. ”

Despite the friction, one program insider called Chen “the glue that holds the show together” and firmly placed the blame on Remini.

“[Remini] was a disruptive force,” the source said. “She had a huge morale problem,” adding that Remini often brought her mother on set, who refused to follow studio rules.

“Her mother never parked in her assigned space,” the insider said. “She was told not to park in the lot anymore. ”

Two executive producers have abandoned the show since it began last fall. But co-host Sara Gilbert is slated to return.

A CBS spokesperson told us, “ ‘The Talk’ just finished a strong first season . . . The producers are currently working on a creative game plan for Season 2, which launches on Sept. 6.”

Osbourne’s rep said she was “not reachable.” Remini’s agent said, “I don’t believe anyone’s option has been picked up. Her mom does go to the show every day as does Sara’s mom and Holly’s mom.”

He declined to comment about the parking-lot matter because Remini couldn’t be reached by deadline.

Since I don’t really care about any of these people (well, I have some affection for Gilbert), I’m willing to believe all of it. It wouldn’t surprise me that the president’s wife was pulling rank, it wouldn’t surprise me that the Scientologist was being disruptive, and it wouldn’t surprise me that the other ladies might be trying to bail.

Leah Remini spoils her 4 year old; Rachael Ray tries to intervene

“King of Queens” star Leah Remini and her husband have a four-year-old daughter who is still drinking up to six bottles a night and wearing diapers. Leah asked Rachael Ray – of all people – to visit her home and see what goes on with her daughter, Sofia Bella.

Leah Remini may have been tough as nails on The King of Queens, but when it comes to her nearly 4-year-old daughter Sofia, she’s a total pushover. “I’m very consistent; I give in,” says Leah. “My daughter runs the house.” Although Leah is conflicted about taking a stance that leaves her daughter in hysterics, she’d like to try getting Sofia off the bottle. “The problem I’m having with bottle-feeding is basically that Sofia drinks six or more bottles a night,” she explains, a situation that leaves her and her husband Angelo exhausted from handing over new bottles and changing diapers at all hours. Leah also recognizes there are potential health issues. “We’re hearing that it’s not good for her,” she admits. “In talking to our pediatrician, they almost fell off their chair when we said she’s still on the bottle. So I’m thinking maybe it’s not right.”

[From The Rachael Ray Show Online]

She’s thinking MAYBE it’s not right? What the hell! This kid is a pre-schooler, not a baby. And SIX bottles a night? I can’t help but think about how bad that is for her teeth, not to mention the fact that if she is drinking all that milk instead of eating actual food, she is not getting enough nutrients.

The other part of this equation that has me scratching my head is why Leah thought it was a good idea to go on the Rachael Ray show and let cameras capture her and her husband being completely bulldozed by their kid. Apparently, Rachael Ray, who has never had kids and is now suddenly defining herself as yet another Oprah, put Leah in touch with a pediatrician and a mom of three to give her some advice.

After her meeting with Dr. Ari, Leah and her husband Angelo decide to try and wean their daughter. They get some pointers from one of Rachael’s viewers who is a mother of three. “You’re not going to like a lot of things I’m going to say,” Stacey Lewis tells Leah. “Children need consistency and they need structure. This is going to be tough work but we’re going to get it done.”

For their first night with no bottles, Stacey suggests some tough love and says if Sofia has a tantrum they can offer her water in a bottle with no nipple. They decide to give it a try, but only last a few hours when Sofia has a fit. “We’re definite pushovers and at the end of the day you have to follow your heart,” Leah says. “Sofia was crying again for a bottle of milk and then I started crying I think because I felt so bad,” Leah says, and they give her the bottle. “It just doesn’t feel right for me to have a screaming baby and to say no to a bottle.”

Leah and her husband are Scientologists, and if the rumors are correct about the parenting style involved with that cult/religion, babies are supposedly already born knowing everything, and are treated as little adults. But how does that explain treating a four-year-old like an infant? I think it’s because Leah waited so long to have a child, and this is probably the only one she’ll have, so she is holding on to those “Baby” years for as long as humanly possible–which is not doing the kid any favors.

Note by Celebitchy: Leah Remini and her husband are shown at the “Over Her Dead Body” premiere on 1/28/08, thanks to PRPhotos.

Part of me thinks it’s none of our business if she still lets her kid drink a bottle and wear diapers as long as she’s well cared for. Since she invited cameras into her home, though, I guess it is our business.
