T.R. Knight dumped his jailbait boyfriend

wenn2027912

In Touch Weekly is reporting that 36-year-old T.R. Knight has dumped his 20-year-old boyfriend of two years Mark Cornelsen. T.R. blames his crazy schedule, according to friends. I don’t really follow news about T.R., so I was totally surprised to see how young his boyfriend is. And they got together when Mark was 18 years old! Damn, T.R. likes jailbait. T.R. also wants to keep his family-friendly image, considering he keeps talking about how he wants a baby. Sigh… then he should settle down with someone closer to his own age, damn it!

T.R. Knight is blaming his hectic schedule as the reason for his split with his boyfriend of almost two years, Mark Cornelsen.

“It just came to a natural end, no hard feelings,” explains a close friend of the former Grey’s Anatomy star, whose focus has been on his role in the musical Parade at the Mark Taper Forum in LA. “They still care about each other very much.”

And though T.R., 36, asked his ex, who is 16 years younger, to move out of the apartment they shared, he said it doesn’t mean he has given up hope for a family someday.

“I want a baby,” he told Ellen DeGeneres around the time of his breakup. His wish to adopt a child is genuine. “When the time is right, it will happen,” says the pal, adding that for right now, “his focus is on the show.”

[From In Touch Weekly via Huffington Post]

Last year there were rumors that Mark was telling T.R. to leave Grey’s Anatomy to try for a film career. Well, T.R. has officially left the series, but he literally has nothing, absolutely zero projects lined up. So what’s with this whole “hectic schedule” business? Is it code for “I met someone new at the gym”? Or code for: “Pack your bags, Daddy found someone younger”? I could go on. But I won’t. I hope Mark is coping well and I hope T.R.’s new guy (you know there’s a new guy) is worth it.

UPDATE: It seems I was wrong about T.R.’s career post-Grey’s. Apparently, he’s doing a play called Parade in Los Angeles right now. Sorry about that! The LA Times has more about the play, including some boring quotes from T.R. Still no television or film projects, though. Guess he’s staying in theater.

Here’s T R and Mark at the Hot In Hollywood event in June 2008. Images thanks to WENN.com .

Newsweek asks “Why is Katherine Heigl so annoying?”

infphoto_1031317
Katherine Heigl can’t seem to open her mouth lately without bitching about her charmed life and trashing the people who pay her millions of dollars for a few months work. The mainstream media has noticed, and Newsweek has a thoughtful editorial about how Heigl went from potential romcom sweetie to shrew in a little over a year. Heigl could have possibly become some kind of post-feminist icon, writer Sarah Ball observes, but she seems more content to just complain than to make any kind of point about how movies are too male-oriented:

In January 2008, Vanity Fair’s cover girl was Katherine Heigl. “Hollywood’s hottest blonde,” as they called her, was stunning—a soothing dollop of peach gelato poured into a column gown, brows intelligently arched, lipstick perfectly applied. Inside the magazine, she smiled regally behind the wheel of a Rolls, stretching her arms in silk opera gloves. The accompanying text told a different, less rosy story: the Grey’s Anatomystar detailed the shocking death of her older brother Jason, chatted about her Mormon childhood, and discussed her struggle to break out as an actress. She projected a kind of loose-cannon candor, blasting the film that launched her stardom, Knocked Up, as “a little bit sexist” and her character, reporter Allison Scott, as “a shrew.” Back then, it read as refreshingly daring: That Heigl! She’s a pistol.

Today, that issue looks like a yellowing relic ready for a Planet Hollywood display case. Heigl’s biggest accomplishment of the past 18 months, if you buy the blogs, has been to fully squander her prime position, dropping from a cherubic, popular new actress with a brain to a diva-like shrew…

How did Katherine Heigl fall so far and so fast in esteem? Part of it is pure sexism. Every decade has a Most Annoying Actress (not that long ago, Jennifer Love Hewitt was the object of tabloid disaffection), never an actor, and it’s a distinction doled out via a caveman’s principles. Heigl violates every archaic, unspoken rule of being America’s box-office sweetheart. A lot of actors smoke, curse, drink, and mouth off, but she gets the most grief for it. Last summer, when she was caught flicking a finished cigarette onto the sidewalk, Star magazine quickly tarred her as an environmentally unfriendly “litterbug” who inappropriately goaded a nearby police officer into letting her off without a ticket.

But more than simply daring to challenge chauvinistic mores, Heigl has shot herself in the foot with her delivery. Everybody applauded her defense of Grey’s costar T. R. Knight after costar Isaiah Washington called him a “fag.” But then Heigl kept prattling on and on, even after Washington was fired in disgrace. People started to wonder if Heigl’s comments were less about Knight and more about her. Last July, in an attempt to be noble, she removed herself from the Emmy race because, she said, she had not been “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.” The press again slammed her for the diva attitude (did she really need to issue a statement? And did she have to insult the show’s writers and producers while she was at it?). When she resubmitted herself in the race this year, Emmy voters failed to nominate her—even though she’s done her best work on the show this season as cancer-stricken Izzie. But forget about Izzie and her eroding brain. Heigl wants all the sympathy for herself. This week, she carped to David Letterman that she’d had a “seventeen- (dramatic pause) hour (dramatic pause)” workday on set, and that she was “going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them [the Grey's Anatomy show runners].” Embarrass them for what? Keeping her employed? To a country nearing 10 percent unemployment, the remark was tone-deaf.

[From Newsweek]

The Ugly Truth was third at the box office on this, it’s opening weekend. It’s behind Harry Potter and a movie about talking guinea pig secret agents. It’s getting overwhelmingly negative reviews and has a 15% aggregate rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics say it’s a “series of cliches… off the romantic comedy checklist,” “about as subtle as a boulder rolling downhill through a crowded playground,” and “crass and contrived… the sort of comedy that requires you not only to suspend disbelief, but your sanity as well.:

If Heigl has so many problems with the negative portrayal of women in films, why is she playing such a demeaning, cardboard cutout of a female executive who falls for a condescending creep? She seems to have no issue accepting fat paychecks and then complaining about the material she’s given afterwards. Wait and see what she says about this movie.

T.R. Knight: Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes didn’t want me to come out

fp_2042720_glaad_awards_ram
In May we reported on an interview in Entertainment Weekly with Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes. Rhimes sounded haughty, in my opinion, and made several statements about how she has no regrets about the plotlines and never reads the press on her show. She also said she wouldn’t have done anything differently because “That would mean I have to admit that we made some mistakes, and I’m not going to do that.”

Spoiler that you probably know already is below
Now that it’s known that T.R. Knight won’t be returning to Grey’s, he’s explaining his decision to Entertainment Weekly. It was all about the fact that his character, George, was given hardly any screen time last season. Although Knight doesn’t directly say this, he heavily hints that the reduced screen time for his character had everything to do with the fact that he came out of the closet following the much-talked about feud with Isaiah Washington. Knight tells EW that Rhimes didn’t want him to come out as gay, although she denies that this is true at all. He’s also miffed that it took Rhimes a full three months to issue any kind of statement about the anti-gay slur that Isaiah hurled at him on set, prompting a fight with their co-star Patrick Dempsey and Isaiah’s eventual firing.

The openly gay star says that he made his decision to leave the hit ABC show after executive producer Shonda Rhimes drastically cut his screen time: He appeared for just 48 minutes in the first nine episodes of season five.

“There just comes a time when it’s so clear that moving on is the best decision,” Knight says in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands tomorrow. The actor cites a “breakdown in communication” with Rhimes and says he asked to be let out of his $14 million contract three years early.

“My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given [about his character, George],” states Knight, who says George evolved into someone he didn’t understand or even respect (the character slept with his best friend, Izzie — played by Katherine Heigl — while he was married to Sara Ramirez’s character, Callie). Knight also resented his noticeable lack of screen time. “It didn’t seem like an ebb to me,” he says. “No other series regular’s character had ever disappeared like mine did this past season.”

But things first started going sour on set for Knight after the infamous “Isaiahgate” incident, in which then-cast member Isaiah Washington referred to him with an anti-gay slur during a heated conversation with co-star Patrick Dempsey. It took creator Rhimes three months to publicly condemn Washington, which Knight calls “frustrating.”

However, Knight says complications arose between him and Rhimes immediately after the incident, when he decided to respond to the sticky situation by outing himself. The actor says Rhimes was among those who wanted him to remain in the closet — though in the EW article, the creator herself denies this.

When Knight was asked to appear on season six of the show — in flashbacks — he flatly refused, opting to move forward with other projects. In September, he’ll headline a stage production of “Parade” at L.A.’s Mark Taper Forum and in February will hit Broadway in the Stanley Tucci-directed revival of “Lend Me a Tenor.”

It’s a big decision to walk away from a hit show — and a huge paycheck — but Knight says he knew it was time to go.
“There are a lot of people who would like to be in my position,” he says. “But in the end, I need to be fulfilled in my work — that’s more important than the money.”

[From NY Daily News]

So was Knight’s lack of plot some kind of payback from Rhimes for coming out? Whatever the reason, there must have been some issues between Knight and the producers that prompted them to marginalize his character. It took over seven months after that incident with Isaiah Washington in October, 2006, in which he called Knight the slur “f” word and then choked and pushed Patrick Dempsey, for him to get fired. Someone must have been pulling for the guy. We heard about another on-set fight, between Dr. McDreamy Dempsey and Dr. McSteamy Eric Dane, in February, 2007. Add in all the crap that Katherine Heigl said about the show and it sounds like a tense, difficult set. (Granted it’s hard to take anything she says seriously since she complains about basically everything.) With a creator that refuses to admit any mistakes or take feedback at all, it’s no wonder.

T.R. Knight’s boyfriend told him to quit Greys for movie career (spoilers)

glaad dinner 290409
Grey’s spoilers below
Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight’s young boyfriend is said to have advised him to leave the show in favor of pursuing a movie career. It’s a risky move that Knight may have to follow through with, now that it’s rumored that he’s off the show after a cliffhanger season closer that seemed to show his character George’s death:

T.R. Knight was pushed to quit his starring role on “Grey’s Anatomy” – by his 20-year-old boyfriend, who thinks he should be a movie star!

That’s the shocking real story behind the TV doctor’s apparent decision not to return to the hit ABC show next season, sources say.

While it’s no secret that the openly gay 36-year-old actor has been unhappy with his lack of screen time, insiders say his boyfriend of 1 1/2 years, college student Mark Cornelsen, has been trying to convince T.R. that he’s destined to be a movie star.

“Mark definitely has stars in his eyes,” an insider told The Enquirer. “Ever since he came into T.R.’s life, he’s been pushing T.R. to shoot for a bigger career.

“Before Mark, T.R. was thrilled to be just a regular on a hit TV show…

“T.R. is unproven on the big screen, and no one is knocking down his door to star in A-list projects,” the insider pointed out.

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, June 15, 2009]

Unlike his co-worker buddy Katherine Heigl, T.R. Knight has no virtually no movie credits to his name. From what I could see on IMDB, he’s made only two movies, one in 2002 and another in 2006, each of which I’ve never heard of.

Hiegl made the cross over to film while she was still starring on Grey’s, and it’s thought that her character could live although we’ll have to tune in this fall to lean Izzie and George’s fate. Starring on a TV show where you’re making good steady money and branching out into film are not mutually exclusive. Knight’s partner is just 20 years old and it sounds like he gave him some dumb, immature advice. Knight had a sweet job that he may have thrown away. Hopefully it isn’t true that he’s leaving or he has something else lined up. For now, his IMDB page ends at Grey’s.

Grey’s creator Shonda Rimes sort-of denied that Knight is leaving, and twittered that it was a ” hilarious ridiculous rumor” that he was leaving. On the other hand, she has refused to address in interviews whether Izzie and/or George were leaving so why would she be so quick to call the rumors “hilarious”?

Shondra Rimes won’t reveal fate of Grey’s characters (spoilers for last night)

shondra
Warning: Spoilers for season finale of Grey’s, which aired last night, below
Grey’s Anatomy creator Shondra Rimes spoke with EW’s Michael Ausiello about the fate of characters Izzie and George, whose lives seemed to hang in the balance in a cliffhanger episode, the last of the season. It’s known that both Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight want off the show, although Heigl has since tried to say that she’s happy to stay on, probably because of the bad economy and lack of job prospects. Rimes wouldn’t say whether Heigl and Knight are aware if their characters return next season, and she also wouldn’t say if they both suffer the same fate, whatever that may be. It all sounded a bit tense, which is consistent with pretty much everything we’ve been hearing about Grey’s for years.

tr

Rumors have been swirling all year that Katherine and TR wanted off the show. The season ends with both their characters’ lives hanging in the balance. Purely coincidental?
SHONDA RHIMES:
I don’t think there are any coincidences. I think Katherine’s stated publicly that she’s happy to stay. I think that there have been lots of rumors about TR, but TR’s never said anything. Take from it what you will.

This kind of cliffhanger almost seems tailor-made to capitalize on some of those headlines and generate buzz.
RHIMES:
You have to remember, I have two shows. It’s not as if I spend a lot of time reading the press. We talk about stuff in the writers’ room that other people have read, but, mostly, we were really moving on character. Every year at the beginning of the season I pitch what the end of the season is going to be. And I literally sat down and pitched the last 10 minutes of this season at the beginning of the season, so we were headed towards the place that we knew we were going to go.

Do you know which one of them lives and which one of them dies?
RHIMES: Yes.
And I don’t know that you should be saying “which one of them lives and which one of them dies.” I know what happens to the characters.

Have you shared this information with Katherine and TR?
RHIMES:
[Crickets, then...] I don’t want to answer that. I don’t want to talk about my private conversations with the actors.

Katherine said in a recent interview that she was as much in the dark about Izzie’s fate as anyone. Do you keep this stuff close to the vest in order to prevent leaks?
RHIMES:
There was a joke for a while there that if I got hit by a bus [no one would] know how to end the season. I do feel like a secret’s not a secret if anybody knows about it. It was really about trying to keep the storyline as secret as possible, because I wanted the last moment of the season to be a real surprise.

Did TR ask to be released from his contract?
RHIMES:
I absolutely am not going to talk about any private conversations I had with the actors. I feel like that invades their privacy.

Why haven’t we seen very much of George this season? I understand that there are ebbs and flows on ensemble dramas but…
RHIMES:
There are ebbs and flows. Every character this season has had a lot of ebbs and flows. And every season is shaped differently. With George, I really wanted you to not notice that he wasn’t there for most of this episode. I don’t think anybody noticed because of the way we laid it out this season. He’s an incredibly talented actor. And, actually, he was really lovely and elegant about lying there in all that very painful makeup and prosthetics for much of the episode with no words. That moment where he grabs Meredith’s hand is one of the most affecting moments of the episode, and it was without words.

There was criticism that the Denny hallucinations went on too long without an explanation. Looking back, do you regret not revealing Izzie’s diagnosis sooner?
RHIMES:
Do I regret it? No. As writers, we had a lot of fun figuring out how we were going to tell that story. I don’t regret anything we’ve done. Every season is a learning process for me. This is my first television show. Granted, I’ve done five seasons now, but it’s still my first television show. As we head into season 6 everything is still a learning experience for me. It’s been a great, crazy experiment that has happened fairly publicly, but, for me, it’s been my learning process.

There was a period there where the show was being relentless mocked, especially where the “ghost sex” was concerned. Did you ever take it personally?
RHIMES:
You’re the first person to tell me that, because I, of course, don’t read a lot of press. One thing we’ve gotten used to is being in the public eye and we learned to let everything roll off our backs. We knew where we were going; we had a road map. The rest of the audience didn’t know where we were going. We all thought it was really surprising that anybody thought there was a ghost on our show. We’re a medical show. We thought it was surprising that anybody would look at it and go, “Gee, that’s a ghost.” So that was surprising to us. But, other than that, we took it with a grain of salt.

[From EW]

Doesn’t Rhimes sound so haughty when she says she hasn’t even read or heard criticism of the show? I heard Ausiello on NPR’s Talk of The Nation yesterday in an episode about the season finales. A woman who called in to talk about Grey’s complained about the fact that Izzie was having dream sex with her dead ex boyfriend and how weird it was. You would think that Rimes would have a clue so she could make adjustments where needed, but she sounds perfectly happy to be oblivious. She doesn’t seem like the easiest person to work for and you have to wonder what’s happening on set every day when you hear about so many feuds and problems with the cast. When asked what she would have done different, Rimes quipped “That would mean I have to admit that we made some mistakes, and I’m not going to do that.”

For you Grey’s fans, what did you think of last nights finale? Did you end up feeling gipped by the non-ending, or was it worth the ride?

T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are not leaving Grey’s

fp_1397918_heigl_knight_boy_13_072908

It’s long been noted that the “Grey’s Anatomy” set must be a horrible place to work. There is such an insane amount of drama going on there. And it’s Hollywood – some drama is to be expected. But when you’ve got the most chaotic and high-strung set on the West Coast, that really says something.

On Tuesday “Grey’s” cast mate James Pickens Jr. confirmed that both T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are leaving the show. But now executive producer Shonda Rhimes says that’s untrue.

Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes wants to set the record straight: T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are not leaving the show. “That was a very interesting rumor,” Rhimes said Thursday night at the 40th NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles. “And it’s not true.”

Rhimes was referring to a recent comment in the press attributed to Grey’s castmember James Pickens Jr., in which he was said to be confirming the departure of Heigl and Knight. “That was absolutely taken out of context,” said Rhimes. “Things happen, and … I think rumors become fact very easily. And you know I don’t like to tell you what’s going to happen on the show – but that is a rumor,” she emphasized.

For his part, Pickens says he meant to wish the pair well in general. “We’ve been living with these rumors for a long time,” he said before the NAACP’s awards show. “When the question was posed to me, I was more trying to congratulate Katie and T.R. on whatever they were going to do. But yeah, I don’t have any special info about it either way.”

[From People]

It’s been rumored for a long time that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight have wanted off the show. Knight’s storylines are trivial filler. They are the acting equivalent of busy work. And Heigl’s storylines are just flat out stupid. I’m sorry but the ghost of her ex is following her around for multiple episodes for no reason, and then it turns out she’s sick or something but you don’t care at that point because it’s so dumb.

Even without all the reported drama and negativity on the set, I wouldn’t blame either Knight or Heigl for wanting to leave. Wearing a sandwich board promoting the local hoagie shop would probably be more creatively satisfying at this point.

Here’s Katherine and T.R. in L.A. this past summer. Images thanks to Fame.

TR Knight is in negotiations to leave Gray’s Anatomy

T.R. Knight is itching to get out of his “Grey’s Anatomy” contract, according to several sources. The reason, however, is up for debate. Some sources say it’s because he’s still upset over how long it took “Grey’s” producer Shonda Rhimes to publicly chastise Isaiah Washington for his f-word slur against Knight. Others say it’s because his character’s story line sucks – which is very true. He really doesn’t have a story line at this point. According to Entertainment Weekly, Rhimes is likely to let Knight out of his contract.

The revolving door at Grey’s Anatomy has taken another shocking spin. Multiple sources confirm that T.R. Knight has asked to be released from his contract, a request that both ABC and Grey’s show-runner Shonda Rhimes appear poised to grant. “They’re working out the details now,” whispers an ABC insider. (A network rep was unavailable for comment.)

There’s no word on when Knight would make his final appearance, but, contrary to a report on the gossip blog crazydaysandnights.com, he has not walked off the show. “He’s still working,” maintains my Grey’s mole.

Rumors of Knight’s unhappiness at Grey’s date back to the early days of Isaiahgate. Per an insider, the actor was disappointed that it took Rhimes so long to publicly condemn Washington’s use of the F-word, even as his co-stars (Katherine Heigl, Patrick Dempsey, etc.) rallied to his defense. (The incident led Knight to come out as a gay man.) The boss lady eventually released a statement denouncing Washington’s behavior, but word is, it was too little, too late. Nonetheless, my Grey’s source insists Knight does not want out of his contract for that reason, adding, “He just feels it’s time to move on.”

Knight’s probable exit comes at a time when his character, George, has been given little to do, save for express concern over Izzie’s mental state. There’s no word if he’ll be given a big on-screen send-off or be banished to Seattle Grace’s parking garage with fellow gay Dr. Hahn. (I smell a spin-off!)

[From Entertainment Weekly]

The referenced report from website Crazy Days and Nights doesn’t sound like total bull to me. But it does sound like the kind of thing people would want to keep under wraps. They first reported that Knight had walked off the set, and then said he’s barely been participating in the show for most of the season.

So, I got a little more information from my source and they say, “He hasn’t attended table reads since episode 2. He is pissed and miserable and thinks his story line is stupid. He said goodbye to his hair and makeup people last week. He says he is done and has quit. ABC has not released him. Shondra Rhimes, the producer called him and he told her he had nothing to say. He has packed his dressing room.”

[From Crazy Days and Nights]

A rep for ABC has publicly denied that Knight’s leaving the show, but that doesn’t really seem believable at this point. I’m just as inclined to believe the version from Crazy Days and Nights as I am to believe Entertainment Weekly. Both of the stories agree that Knight hates his character’s story line. I can barely manage to watch his scenes because they’re so dull, so I can imagine it’s even more annoying to have to act them out. The writing really has suffered in the last few years – Katherine Heigl withdrew her Emmy nomination because of the lack of quality material she was given. It sounds like everyone is ready to part ways somewhat amicably, and hopefully before there’s any more of that quintessential “Grey’s” off camera drama.

T.R. Knight is not getting married

People are speculating that T.R. Knight, 35, and his boyfriend Mark Cornelsen, 19, are getting married. Turns out, they are going to be part of a ceremony, but it is just to launch Gay Pride month.

On June 4, 2008, T.R. Knight will join the Matthew Shepard Foundation to help kick off National Gay-Pride month with a celebration of the California Supreme Court decision and a dusk “commitment to protect our rights” ceremony at the famed West Hollywood hotspot, The Abbey.

At 8pm, couples from around the nation will commit with a “vow to vote no” and support of the campaign to defeat the November ballot measure that would take away the marriage rights granted by the Supreme Court.

Matthew Shepard Foundation press release

The ceremony was strictly ceremonial, this is by no means a commitment between T.R. and his 19-year-old boyfriend Mark Cornelsen. I think that if they were to get married they would be swept up in the excitement of the new laws, and it might not be the most considered decision. By most accounts they’ve only been dating for a few months. While it’s great to join in a civil union with the one you love, the last thing you want to be is the first gay couple to divorce under the new law!

T.R. spoke about the new laws, saying “Once you are given something that you were never allowed before, you realize how much of a second class person you were before,” he told Us. “That is horrible and fantastic at the same time. It makes me want to sob and scream with joy all at the same time.”

The Matthew Shepard Foundation is named for an American student who was murdered in a hate crime in 1998. The foundation aims to create new laws which are allow the definition of a ‘hate crime’ to include crimes against homosexuals.

T.R. Knight and Mark Cornelsen are shown at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Brentwood, CA on 5/31/08, thanks to PRPhotos.

T.R. Knight slams politician at GLAAD awards

The GLAAD Media Awards were held on Saturday night, and had quite the A-list celebs. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation gives out awards to celebrities, television shows, and films that that portray accurate and inclusive representations the gay community. Ugly Betty won for Outstanding Comedy Series, while Brothers & Sisters took home the award from Outstanding Drama Series. Not surprisingly, Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List won for Outstanding Reality program.

Kathy Griffin sure knows how to yuk it up with her gays.

The redheaded funnylady picked up the Outstanding Reality Program award for her My Life on the D-List last night during the GLAAD Media Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

“I got the Michael Kors dress, the H. Stern jewelry and [stylist] Robert Verdi put me together,” she said. “I didn’t let a straight person near me tonight.”

[From E!]

T.R. Knight used his time onstage to address some important political issues.

T.R. Knight spoke of the recent murders of teens Lawrence King and Simmie Williams Jr., who were killed earlier this year allegedly because they were gay. The openly gay Grey’s Anatomy star also blasted republican Oklahoma state representative Sally Kern, who has come under fire since it was revealed that in a recent speech she compared gays to terrorists and said she believed the “homosexual agenda is destroying this nation.”

“I am realizing more and more how privileged I am to be able to use my voice to support an organization like GLAAD,” Knight said. “I will continue to do so until the Sally Kerns are taught the real teachings of Jesus Christ.”

Katherine Heigl is best away from the singles scene

katherinetrheader.jpg
Katherine Heigl has done something we’ve all been guilty of – flirting with a co-worker. The male stars of Grey’s Anatomy are mostly a little old for Katherine, or married, or gay. She found out the hard way when T.R. Knight resisted her initial advances:

The ‘Knocked Up’ beauty was single when shooting began on the hit US show – and 35-year-old hunk Knight caught her eye.

But the actress’ romantic plans didn’t make result in any romantic liaisons – because her lustful looks were ignored as Knight is gay.

She says: “When we were filming the pilot I was single and so was he and I kind of had my eye on him. I was getting nowhere and I was super-confused.

“I was like, ‘Hello? Do I have something hanging out of my nose? Why aren’t you paying any attention to me? Needless to say, it quickly became a friendship once he told me.”

Katherine got over her rejection pretty quickly and hooked up with sensitive crooner Josh Kelley, and then made no secret of her desire to get married.

She said: “I didn’t propose to Josh – but I suggested strongly that he should propose to me. One day we were sitting in my house, chatting and having a glass of wine, and I said, ‘How do you feel about marriage? Where do you feel this relationship is going? Because I don’t just want to date anymore.

“I had got to the place in my life when I was ready for a commitment. He was so nervous when he actually did it – I found it really endearing!”

Kelley has a new album out, his first since he married Katherine, where he seems to be rubbing our faces in how lucky he is. His lyrics on the album include “She’s so damn pretty” and “She’s unbelievably sexy” and the extra romantic “Cheers to you honey, because you look so money.” Couldn’t he have found a better rhyme?
