Jessica Alba, 30, and her husband Cash Warren, 32, have welcomed their second child, a daughter they named Haven Garner Warren. Little Haven was born on Saturday and joins her little sister Honor, three. Alba posted the news on her Facebook page. Alba has previously not revealed the sex or due date of the baby, just saying during a recent interview that she was due “soon” and didn’t want to say if she was having a girl or a boy.

Hope you’re enjoying the weekend. Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren. She was born on Saturday, weighed 7lbs, and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy! Big Sister Honor couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to our family.

Well, as far as Haven goes it’s not the most bizarre celebrity name, but it still sounds odd to me. It’s strange to hear a regular word appropriated as a child’s name, but Alba and Warren did it for their first kid and they’re doing it again. Kaiser says that it’s a name for a production company, not a kid. According to the Baby Name Wizard, the name “Haven” was given to 130 out of a million kids in 2010. So it’s not a popular name at all, but that’s about to change now that Alba has used it. I’m assuming that the baby’s middle name, “Garner,” is a family name.

Congratulations to Jessica and Cash on their new arrival! We’ll be seeing that baby in paparazzi pictures soon.

Matt Bellamy twit-pic’d the above photo yesterday – it’s the first public photo of baby Bing Bellamy! Huzzah! I really love this photo of Bing and mom Kate Hudson. So pretty, and it doesn’t look posed and everything. Matt tweeted it with the comment “Family life” but then he went off on the paparazzi trying to get photos of the baby, writing, “Wow, these paps are annoying. Thought we’d tweet pic in hope of paps backing off, didn’t work! There should be laws protecting minors… Daily mail – expect to hear from lawyers soon ”. So I guess Matt and Kate decided to release the first photo, Beckham-style, on their Twitter account in the hopes that the paparazzi would just settle down and stop trying to get the first photo of baby Bing.

In case you still have questions about why Kate and Matt named their kid Bing – Matt explained that Bingham is his mother’s maiden name, and Kurt Russell’s father’s name was Bing. The kid’s full name is Bingham Hawn Bellamy, which I still find absolutely adorable.

I mentioned this yesterday, but it’s worth repeating. I LOVE VIOLA DAVIS. She’s so awesome. She used to be just a scene-stealing character actress, but over the past decade, she’s gotten more high-profile work, and she even scored a Tony Award and an Oscar nomination for Doubt (she was in the Broadway play, as well as the film). She’s in The Help, and her performance is being praised as the best part of a mediocre-to-okay film. These photos are from the premiere of The Help, and Viola brought her actor husband, Julius Tennon, as her date. They’ve been married for nine years.

Quick question: how old do you think Viola is? And while you’re thinking about that, guess how old Julius is. Viola is 46 years old (today is her birthday – happy birthday, Viola!). I can’t even find how old Julius is – but Viola told E! News that he has two “children” from a previous relationship though – a 35 and a 33-year-old. Oh, and he has SIX grandchildren. So that makes him…? At least 55, right?

Anyway, on the red carpet for The Help, Viola announced to E! News that she and Julius were in the process of adopting a baby! This will Viola’s first child, but as I said, she’s been a step-mom and step-grandmother to Julius’s kids and grandkids, and I think it’s really cool. Oh, and Viola is adopting “domestically”.

Congratulations to Viola and Julius. They seem like a solid, lovely couple and I’m sure they’ll be able to provide a wonderful home for a baby.

I still really want Viola to rethink this wig though.

I’ll take one of everything, thanks. I love everything about these photos of Alanis Morissette, her husband Soul Eye (Mario Treadway) and their adorable little Soul-baby (Ever). I love the dog. I love how Alanis and Mario seem engaged with each other. I love Alanis’s sweats too. I love that they look “real”. They look really happy, and I find myself rooting for them. Go Canada! You grow ‘em real nice.

Ever Imre looks like his dad, right? His little face is already full of character. Alanis gave birth in late December last year, which makes Ever a little more than seven months old. Speaking of Alanis giving birth, she took part in Ricki Lake’s new online documentary series, The Business of Being Born. Ricki claims that Alanis agreed to be taped before and after she gave birth. You can read Lake’s interview here – I’m not excerpting that junk, because some of the wording makes me nauseous. If I ever have a baby, I’m going to ask to be unconscious through the last month and the birth. Surely there’s a doctor who will do that, right?

Sarah Palin just welcomed her second grandchild, from her 22 year-old son, Track, and his bride of two and a half months, Britta Hanson, 21. So this 47 year-old abstinence advocate now has two grandchildren from two out of her five kids (the only two that are of age) that were conceived out of wedlock. Congratulations are in order!

Sarah Palin has become a grandmother for the second time, according to reporter Joe McGinniss, who is writing a book on the former vice presidential candidate.

Palin’s eldest son, Track, and his wife, Britta, welcomed a baby girl named Kyla Grace Palin on Sunday night, reports McGinniss, who moved next door to the Palins’s Alaska home in 2010 to gain better access to the family.

In May, it was announced that the high school sweethearts were married. The Palin family never officially confirmed Britta’s pregnancy, though pictures of her baby shower surfaced on Facebook.

The former Britta Hanson was once roommates with her husband’s younger sister, Bristol, in Anchorage, and served as an executive secretary in the governor’s office, beginning when her mother-in-law was governor of Alaska. She is currently a nursing student at the University of Alaska.

Track Palin, an Army Reservist, has said he plans to study at the University of Alaska after the commercial fishing season.

Neither Todd Palin, nor a rep for the Palin family responded to requests for comment.

This story is confusing to me. People regularly runs official stories from the Palin camp, so it seems strange that they’re running this story based on details from the next door neighbor. I looked up this biographer neighbor guy, Joe McGinniss, and Palin once bitched about him moving next to her. She wrote on Facebook “Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?” McGinniss called Palin’s response “the same kind of tactic that the Nazi troopers used in Germany in the ’30s,” and she of course blurted something back because she never ignores any criticism, however absurd. So it’s safe to assume that McGinniss isn’t speaking on behalf of the Palins here.

Radar got a confirmation on the baby’s name and sex from Britta’s mother, the baby’s other grandmother. She said “Kyla Grace is great. She’s beautiful.” That’s sweet.

I shouldn’t focus much on Palin at this point. She’s not as relevant now and she seems to have been eclipsed by the competition anyway.

You know what I think is cute? When celebrities like David and Victoria Beckham share their baby photos on Twitter and Facebook. I just like the idea of “Stars are just like us” as far as showing off baby photos. Anyway, the pic above comes via Victoria’s Twitter, which is where little Harper Seven made her big debut when she was just days old. Victoria tweeted this pic with the message: “I took this beautiful picture and wanted to share it with you, baby Harper cuddling Daddy! x VB”.I love this photo – look at David’s eyes. He’s making eye contact with Victoria as she snaps the photo, while little Harper is looking right into the camera. Look at her little nose! Aw, she got Victoria’s nose. I love that. David knows Harper got her mom’s nose too – he recently told Extra, “She got her mom’s nose, thankfully… [Victoria’s] got a better one.”

There’s more from the Extra interview, which took place about a week and a half ago. David said, “It’s different having a little girl, she’s elegant, she sleeps in an elegant position, she‘s the cutest thing…All the boys won’t leave her alone, which is amazing. Can’t wait to get home to see her.” David also said that he and Victoria hope for more kids: “If we’re lucky enough, we hope to have one more.”

David has also added a new tattoo in honor of Harper. He just got her name, in cursive, scrawled right below his collarbone. You can see it here.

Ethan Hawke and his nanny-wife Ryan announced her second pregnancy back in April, and now it’s looking like she gave birth… two weeks ago. Some may claim that this isn’t newsworthy or that no one cares about Ethan Hawke. I CARE. Ethan Hawke is, like, white trash beautiful to me. He’s so rodent-like and so hot (to me). And I don’t know how to feel about this nanny-wife, or the fact that they had another baby. Would I still get with Ethan knowing that he was the father of FOUR kids? That’s two with Ryan, two with Uma Thurman. Eh. Yeah, probably.

Ethan Hawke, who has called fatherhood “the greatest pleasure in my life,” and his wife, Ryan Hawke, welcomed their second child together two weeks ago, a girl named Indiana, PEOPLE has confirmed.

She’s the fourth child for Hawke, who also has two kids with ex-wife Uma Thurman. News of this pregnancy was first reported in April.

On Friday, the family had lunch at La Bottega in the Maritime Hotel, in Manhattan. “He was very happy,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. “Seemed like a proud daddy.”

Ethan, 40, and Ryan married in June 2008. Their daughter, Clementine Jane, is now 3.

Hawke’s children with Thurman are Maya, 13, and Levon, 9.

In 2006, Ethan Hawke said parenting has brought him the greatest joy and was “the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure.”

Thoughts on “Indiana” for a baby name? I don’t really hate it. It reminded me for some reason of the Phoenix clan. Isn’t one of them named Indiana? YES! I just found it – Casey Affleck and his wife Summer Phoenix named their daughter Indiana too. Incidentally, Ethan and the late River Phoenix were really, really close. If you ever saw Ethan’s Inside the Actor’s Studio, he spoke quite honestly about his overwhelming jealousy of River, and later Jude Law. I wonder if Ethan is still tight with the Phoenix siblings?

Since you guys seemed to enjoy yesterday’s photos of Elton John and David Furnish’s big gay vacation, here are even more pics. Elton, David and their baby Zachary are currently in St. Tropez where they are partying and hanging out with Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka and their twins.

According to People Mag, the two families went for a cruise around the Italian Mediterranean, stopped in Portofino for gelato, and then returned to St. Tropez. Throughout the trip, NPH and Burtka each held on to a baby (I have no idea which is which), while Elton’s partner David Furnish held on to Zachary. Leaving Elton the odd-man-out, baby-holding-wise. This is my favorite part of the People story:

“It took a bit of organization,” one source tells PEOPLE, “because they had to come ashore by launch. And that has to be done very carefully with infants.”

After arranging the three children in sun caps and pint-sized life jackets, the group disembarked their yacht, loaded up a Zodiac craft from St. Tropez beach restaurant Club 55 at noon and sailed to the wooden pier at Pampelonne Beach – where dozens of locals had gathered to see them come ashore.

You know what this makes me nostalgic for? Will & Grace. I loved that show! Remember when Elton John came on the head of the Gay Mafia? I feel like that’s for real. NPH and Elton are the de facto heads of the (fabulous) Gay Mafia and seeing them vacation together with their babies… it’s all so amazing. I bet they’re plotting their takeover.

I had kind of forgotten that Elton John and David Furnish were fathers now. Their baby boy, Zachary Jackson Levon, was born right around Christmas last year, which makes him seven months old now. These are photos of Elton, David and Zachary in St. Tropez today. I like that David is carrying him, just because… I’ve always thought that David was the one who wanted to be a dad. I don’t mean that in a harsh way or anything, and I’m not calling Elton a bad father. I just think that Elton was pretty happy with the way his life was, but that David wanted a baby and Elton went along. Soon after Zachary came along, Elton let it be known that they had already hired a bunch of nannies, that Zachary already had his own apartment, and that he (Elton) was already going back on tour.

I will say this – Zachary is super-cute! That is one chubby, adorable baby. My favorite baby (currently) is still Flynn Kerr-Bloom (he just looks gigantic and happy!), but Zachary is totally a doll. I think David looks great with him too – they look bonded and happy together. Elton seems more like, “Er, okay, what now?”

Oh – and Elton, David and Zachary are vacationing with Neil Patrick Harris, David Burthka and their twins. OMG! So many gay men, so many babies! I think Rick Santorum’s head just exploded.

PS… Zachary looks like Elton, right? Or am I imagining that?

Several months ago, Ryan Phillippe’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp announced her pregnancy, and everybody capable of basic math figured out that she had gotten pregnant during the tailend of her relationship with Ryan. Ryan is kind of douchey, though, and he made a big deal about how he needed a paternity test for the baby. Maybe Ryan realized that he was being a d-bag about it, because when Alexis gave birth to daughter Kai, Ryan made a point of being there. By the way, Alexis and Ryan both played some games in the media, and you could tell that Alexis was kind of pissed that Team Phillippe basically said she was sleeping around.

Anyway, TMZ got their hands on baby Kai’s birth certificate, and as it turns out, Alexis isn’t waiting around for the paternity test (which I can’t believe hasn’t gone down yet). Alexis went ahead and named her kid Kailani Phillippe-Knapp. Damn, girl.

Although paternity test results have yet to be revealed, the actor has allowed Alexis Knapp to give her daughter his surname.

So, we’re assuming Ryan Phillippe IS the father of model Alexis Knapp‘s baby girl. TMZ obtained the little girl’s birth certificate and although Ryan is not listed as her father, the document shows that Alexis named the baby Kailani Phillippe-Knapp. Interesting…

Ryan has promised to pay child support to Alexis if it turns out he is the father of Kailani. He is awaiting DNA test results in order to prove his paternity, but with the birth certificate and the fact that he was in the delivery room when Alexis gave birth, it’s assumed that he is the baby’s daddy.

Ryan already has two children, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.

I wonder if Alexis will have to rename her baby once the paternity test comes through? Ha, no, I’m pretty sure Ryan is the father. What are the thoughts on using the father’s surname, but only hyphenated before the mother’s maiden name? I think if you’re a single mom giving the kid your maiden name, just don’t even mess with the father’s name. The kid’s name, in my mind, should have just been Kailani Knapp, with no “Phillippe” after and certainly not before Knapp. But I suspect that Alexis just added the Phillippe as a “screw you” to Ryan.
