Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughters blame Ashton for her breakdown

Demi Moore is currently at an unnknown rehab receiving treatment for substance abuse issues and anorexia. Reports had her at the exclusive Cirque Lodge in Utah, but TMZ claims those stories are false and that no one knows exactly where Demi is. (She could be at Cirque and denying it in an attempt to preserve her privacy and keep the paparazzi away. I can’t blame her for that.) Radar reports that patients receiving treatment at Cirque aren’t allowed to weigh themselves or to know their current weight during weigh-ins with a doctor. Wherever Demi is, she’s hopefully detoxing and getting healthy.

The latest issue of US has an article that suggests to me that Demi is not taking responsibility for her addictions, or at least that her family is still in denial about it. It squarely places blame on her ex Ashton Kutcher as somehow triggering Demi’s latest problems. Here’s part of US’ report:

Just one week [prior to Tallulah's 18th birthday party on February 3], [Demi], 49, checked into rehab, a source confirms to Us, to seek treatment for substance abuse and an eating disorder. “Her friends and family wanted her to get help,” says a Moore source. Now Bruce, 56, and Moore’s daughters, Tallulah, Scout, 20, and Rumer, 23, are holding accountable the one person they consider responsible for her troubles – her estranged husband, Ashton Kutcher. “Bruce and the girls hate Ashton,” says another insider close to the actress…

“Her family and friends are happy Ashton is out of her life…

“This think Demi’s breakdown is his fault.” (Another source counters that Rumer, who has visited Kutcher on the Two and a Half Men set postsplit, is still close to the actor.)…

[The friendship between Bruce and Ashton] “was all a show,” the source asserts of the Die Hard actor’s friendliness. “The hatred is long-standing.”

Still, Kutcher, 34, may have made himself too scarce in recent weeks. “Ashton hasn’t been there for her,” says another insider. The one time he went to her house after her hospitalization, she wasn’t even there. But another pal defends Kutcher: “He hasn’t seen her because he doesn’t want to give her the idea that he wants to get back together…”

“Bruce is concerned about Demi,” says a Willis soure. But even he is limited. His wife, Emma Heming-Willis, 33, who is pregnant with their first child, “doesn’t want to expose their baby to any of that drama,” says the source.

[From US Weekly, print edition, February 20, 2012]

I buy that Ashton was an ass to Demi and that he cheated on, lied to and left her. We have no idea what went on in that relationship behind closed doors, or how bad it was. It’s understandable that Demi’s family hates Ashton now. Ultimately Demi is responsible for herself, though. Plenty of women go through infidelity and public humiliation and deal with it in much healthier, constructive ways. Most of those women don’t have a fraction of Demi’s means or opportunities. This is a cop out by Demi’s people. She needs to get more distance from this before putting out the next planted story.

Demi Moore has entered the Cirque Lodge rehab in Utah, sources say

Demi Moore has been on a bad path for a while. I tend to think it’s not just a matter of a “mid-life crisis” or even just a post-divorce bender. I think something is seriously wrong with Demi, and something has been wrong with her for a while. The stories about Demi’s activities the past few months has gotten worse and worse, from her diet of Red Bull, Adderall and Whip-its, to her “creepy cougar” partying with Rumer’s friends, to her grinding on some poor young boy’s ass, and on and on. Throughout it all, Demi seems to have resisted rehab, choosing instead to delve deeper into Kabbalah spiritual guidance, even at the expense of her relationship with her daughters. Well, it seems like someone might have gotten through to Demi, because there are some reports now that she’s entered rehab:

It appears Demi Moore has taken her “spiritual counseling” to the next level. E! News has learned exclusively that the Margin Call star has checked into the ultra-posh Cirque Lodge addiction treatment center in Sundance, Utah.

A source tells E! News Moore entered the facility the week following her now infamous Jan. 23 hospitalization, after she suffered seizure-like symptoms during a party at her home in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles.

“She’s on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people,” the rehab source said, adding that the 49-year-old actress is being treated for both an eating disorder and addiction issues.

Specializing in “individualized addiction treatment,” Cirque Lodge has a reputation for catering to a celebrity clientele, reportedly including the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Eva Mendes and Mary-Kate Olsen.

So how did Moore check into the rehab facility without the media catching wind of it?

We’ve learned that in the days after her hospitalization, Moore gathered her belongings from her home and was whisked off to the mountain retreat in Utah for treatment.

“It became clear to her that her way of coping with her stress was not working and she needed more help,” the source continued.

As we previously reported, Moore had been consulting with an intuitive healer and psychic medium.

Despite speculation that her exes Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher visited Moore at home earlier this week, Moore spent the entire week in Utah.

When reached by E! News, Demi Moore’s rep had no comment.

[From E! News]

People Mag and Us Weekly are going with E! News’ report too, although just hours before E! came out with this, People Magazine had yet another story about how “private” Demi is and how NO ONE knows where she is. A source told People, “Demi is such a private person… and where she is now is being kept top secret.” Her rep did tell People that Demi decided to get “professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.”

More evidence that Demi is in rehab: Tallulah celebrated her 18th birthday, a rite of passage, with her father at his place. Demi was nowhere to be seen – and you know she would have loved to grind on some of Tallulah’s barely legal friends.

Demi Moore’s two youngest daughters “want nothing to do with her”

This week’s In Touch cover story is all about Demi Moore’s OD and downfall, with details we’ve heard before. They do add the claim that Demi has been doing cocaine, which I sort-of buy but I also think it’s possible that she’s only hyped up on “legal” drugs like Adderall, Red Bull, “K2 Spice,” and whip-its. The thing that struck me about this story was the fact that they focus on Demi’s relationship with her two younger daughters, Tallulah, 18, and Scout, 20. Demi seems to have a friendly relationship with her oldest daughter Rumer, 23, as she was partying with Rumer in the days leading up to her hospitalization. Tallulah has been living with her dad, Bruce Willis, for some time, and Scout is off at college. According to In Touch neither daughter has wanted anything to do with their super-embarrassing mom for some time prior to her breakdown. They’re probably worried that she’s going to hit on their male friends, and for good reason. Here’s part of In Touch’s report:

Rumer may be close to her mom, but Demi’s two younger children want nothing to do with her. In fact, a friend says, youngest daughter Tallulah feels much closer to her dad, Bruce Willis – with whom she lives. “She has often requested that Demi not attend public functions with her because she’s afraid of her getting drunk, desperate and flirty,” the friend confides, adding that Tallulah, 18, has been “mortified” by Demi’s wild partying in recent weeks. “She loves her mother, but she wants her to get help,” says the friend, adding that Scout, 20, feels the same. “She’s humiliated by the way Demi’s been acting – and she’s also furious at Rumer, who she feels has been enabling her.” According to the friend, neither Scout nor Tallulah wants anything to do with Demi until she goes through rehab and gets the help she needs.

[From In Touch, print edition, February 13, 2012]

Fat chance that Demi goes to rehab. She’s turning to Kabbalah as usual to help justify her behavior. I doubt it will help her but I hope I’m wrong.

Can you imagine if your mom was partying with your sister and grinding all over guys your age? You would totally try to avoid her. But if she went through a crisis like this, I like to think I’d be there for my mom and I hope that Scout and Tallulah have stepped up.

There are plenty of other recent stories about Demi. People is reporting that Demi’s ex, Bruce Willis, wanted her to get help prior to her OD. They report that Brucewas worried about her and wanted her to get better. Many of her friends did the same thing, but she just wouldn’t listen.” Paparazzi agency X17 reports that both Bruce and Demi’s more recent ex, Ashton Kutcher, visited her separately on Wednesday. Radar has a story straight from Ashton’s camp about how much he cares for Demi and how he’s been praying for her. I know this is spin, but I want to believe this. Here’s Radar’s report:

Demi Moore’s estranged husband Ashton Kutcher was photographed going to her Benedict Canyon estate on Wednesday, but that wasn’t his first visit to her since her hospitalization, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Two and a Half Men star has been praying with Demi, and offering support during this tumultuous time in her life.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 49-year-old actress has been struggling with anorexia and had been taking the prescription drug Adderall leading up to her seizure on January 23.

Kutcher was in Brazil during Moore’s meltdown, and was criticized for partying and being seen at a concert with another woman during Demi’s time of need. However, as soon the Punk’d star returned to LA, he sought counsel and guidance from spiritual advisers at the Kabbalah Center in Beverly Hills on how he could best help Demi.

“This has been a very hard time for Ashton. He loves Demi very much, and he feels absolutely helpless right now,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “Ashton and Demi have been praying together at her house, and he mainly just wants to provide comfort to her right now.

“This absolutely isn’t a reconciliation, but there is still a lot of love there and he would never turn his back on her — it’s just not who Ashton is.”

And, while many people in Demi’s inner circle are pushing her to go to rehab, Ashton isn’t pressuring her at all to do anything she isn’t ready for.

“Ashton has had loved ones in his life that have dealt with addiction issues, and he realizes that it’s counter-productive for someone to be forced to go to rehab,” the insider says. “Ashton knows the addict has to want to get help for themselves. There is a lot of noise around Demi right now, and Ashton wants her to know he is there for her and supports her no matter what.

“Ashton absolutely wants her to get help for what he thinks is the biggest threat to her health, anorexia, but Demi just isn’t ready to take that next step yet.”

[From Radar Online]

The article goes on to claim that Ashton has been “reclusive and very somber” on the set of “Two and a Half Men.” Ashton has been partying his ass off in Brazil, he’s not all down in the dumps over Demi. It took him a while to get back to the US after her health crisis too. I believe he cares about her and is trying to help, but this portrait of him as “reclusive” and “somber” doesn’t ring true with the photos and tweets we’ve seen from him.

I hope that Demi gets sober and well, and that she’s able to retain some sort of career or life’s purpose. She’s supposedly “despondent” that she’s not getting movie roles anymore. Someone moved her cheese and she’s been making herself sick looking for it in the same place over and over again.

Scout is the blonde in sunglasses. She’s shown on 11-25-11 on a day out in Paris with her dad Bruce. Tallulah is shown with her dad and his wife Emma Heming on 2-22-10. She’s shown with her mom on 3-24-08. Rumer and Demi are shown out on 1-14-12. Credit: WENN.com

Demi Moore tried to hook up with Zac Efron, but he thinks she’s a “creepy cougar”

CB already covered People Magazine’s cover story this week – Demi Moore and her “dangerous desperation” to stay young and skinny. And now Us Weekly has revealed their cover story – which is also about Demi being desperate, this time about really young guys. According to Us Weekly (and HL), Demi has been trying to hook up with her daughter’s friend (and rumored boyfriend) Zac Efron. Poor Zac finds Demi “creepy” though. Hollywood Life also repeats that gross story about Demi “grinding” on Victoria Justice’s boyfriend’s ass. Fo’ real. You know who has my sympathy at this point? Rumer. That poor girl.

The night of Demi Moore’s Jan. 16 911 call was even scarier than it sounded.

“Everyone thought she was going to die,” a source tells the new Us Weekly of the emergency, in which Moore, 49, collapsed, and was “convulsing” after smoking an unknown substance.

It was the culmination of months of self-destructive partying (and drug use) for the newly single star, struggling to make sense of things as she nears 50 without husband Ashton Kutcher, from whom she split late last year.

“She’s been really down, and she’s surrounding herself with young people to make her feel better,” an insider tells Us of Moore, who’s been obsessed for years with staying young and thin.

“She’s been mixing pills and Red Bulls, among other things,” another source says.

One of Moore’s favorite young stars to party with — and flirt with — is daughter Rumer Willis’s longtime friend Zac Efron, 24, a hunk nine years younger than Kutcher, 33. Not only has Demi Moore, 49, ”literally inserted herself” into 23-year-old daughter Rumer Willis‘ social circle, but she’s even trying to hook up with 24-year-old Zac Efron!

“She calls him and texts him a lot, but he’s not interested at all,” a source tells the mag. “He thinks she’s a creepy cougar.”

A wired, gaunt Moore “tracked down” the High School Musical star at a party in L.A.’s Venice neighborhood, an insider tells Us. “She seemed out of her mind at this party.”

Meanwhile, People reports that Demi has yet another younger guy in her sights — Victoria Justice‘s boyfriend, 27-year-old Ryan Rottman!

“She found ways to touch him all night, and at one point when he was in front of her, she was grinding on his butt,” an onlooker said of Demi and Ryan’s behavior at a Jan. 11 party. “His shirt came unbuttoned, and she started tickling his bare chest playfully.”

For additional details on Moore’s spiral — her calls and texts with Efron, how her three daughters are coping, her ongoing obsession with staying young, and what’s next — pick up the new Us Weekly, on stands Friday.

[From Us Weekly, Hollywood Life]

I don’t even know what to say about this mess at this point. Demi clearly has significant issues, and this has gone beyond a simple public-relations problem, although I do think the root of Demi’s problem might be the dichotomy of how she views herself (hip, cool, young, relevant) versus the reality of who she is now (sad, desperate, kind of pathetic). I don’t think it’s as easy as saying “Demi needs to act her age.” This woman has mental health issues, and a good publicist can’t fix the crazy.

So what’s my armchair advice to Demi at this point? Go away for a while. Take a year or two off, don’t work, go back to Idaho or something. Don’t tweet. Don’t give interviews. Get clean and sober. Wear sweatpants for a while and stop messing with your face. Eat real food. And then, after some time has passed, come back. Relaunch yourself as smart and effective producer who still dabbles in acting. Give a few interviews, but only to the major outlets. Write a tell-all book, and really TELL ALL.

… But she won’t follow my advice, will she?

Demi Moore embarrassed by her OD “because she’s such a private person”

I wanted to add an “ORLY?” at the end of the part about how Demi is a “private person” but I thought that you could easily fill that in, given what we know about Demi “twitter addict” Moore. Demi’s people have released an unofficial statement to People Magazine, meant to be some kind of damage control after her overdose on “over the counter” but dangerous drugs like Whip-its and K2 Spice. We’ve also heard how she’s addicted to Adderall, downing Red Bull and coming on inappropriately to very young guys. Now comes the inevitable response, and it’s weak:

Having lived in the spotlight for more than three decades, Demi Moore has long crafted her image as a polished, glamorous star.

Privately, however, the 49-year-old actress had been unraveling in the months since her November split from husband Ashton Kutcher.

As she seeks treatment in the wake of her hospitalization on Jan. 23, Moore is struggling with the public nature of her breakdown.

“Ego-wise, this is the worst thing that could happen to Demi, because she’s such a private person,” a source close to the actress’ circle tells PEOPLE. “She’s embarrassed.”

But Kabbalah, the form of Jewish mysticism that Moore has long studied, instructs that adversity can ultimately prove beneficial, according to an insider.

Moore’s troubles “can be an opportunity, a blessing, and not a curse,” says the insider. “The right intervention happened in her life. From a spiritual sense, it is a gift. She has a real opportunity to grow from it. She has to take responsibility for her life.”

[From People]

There are a lot of laughable lines in this story. I’ll just add some additional details to People’s quotes. My quotes are the ones that aren’t in italics.
Demi Moore has long crafted her image as a polished, glamorous star” by having her publicist leak details about how “sexy” she is when she dances on tables.

Ego-wise, this is the worst thing that could happen to Demi, because she’s such a private person…” which is why she tweets photos of herself in a bikini and regularly sent public love notes to her husband.

But Kabbalah, the form of Jewish mysticism that Moore has long studied, instructs that adversity can ultimately prove beneficial, according to an insider. ” So they’re probably teaching Demi that she can move on from this, and that everything happened for reason. Given what I’ve heard about Kaballah, and knowing Demi’s celebrity status, I doubt they’re going to question her or bring awareness to the fact that she’s an addict who’s been starving herself. They give lip service to taking responsibility for her actions, but she’s not in rehab and is just doing what she always does in a crisis.

Despite occasionally running stories from Demi’s publicist, People Magazine seems to feel the same way a lot of us do. They mildly call out Demi, yet again, on their cover. They say that her obsession with staying young led to her breakdown. The title of this story on their website is surprisingly harsh, for People, “Inside Demi Moore’s Dangerous Desperation to ‘Stay Young and Skinny‘”

But as the actress approaches her 50th birthday – and her marriage to Ashton Kutcher, 33, began to crumble – several sources tell PEOPLE in this week’s cover story that the 49-year-old star battled deep feelings of insecurity. In fact, sources say the star was barely eating and partying wildly before her drug-fueled breakdown.

“As Demi got older, she convinced herself that she needed to stay young and skinny to remain attractive to her husband,” says a source who knows the former couple.

Continues the source: “She needed reassurance all the time that she was hot and sexy.”

Another source says that Moore, who is now seeking treatment following her Jan. 23 hospitalization, “was always fixated on being young. And the only thing that tied her to that, as she got older, was her marriage to a younger guy and hanging around young people.”

[From People]

We knew this, but when People says it they take it to a whole ‘nother level – that sector of the public who doesn’t pay as much attention to celebrities as we do. Demi and her aging crisis are now a major talking point.

A lot of outlets are wondering whether Demi Moore’s 911 call should have been made public. I think that it’s not an issue of whether Demi’s 911 call should be public, it’s an issue of whether any 911 call should be public. It seems invasive and unnecessary. We’re hearing people and their loved ones at their most vulnerable moments, sometimes right before they die. I hate 911 calls and would prefer to never hear another one in my life.

Demi Moore is not in rehab and is turning to Kabbalah for help, good idea?

There have been rumors that Demi Moore went off to in-patient rehab, as you might expect a celebrity to do in so high profile an overdose case as Demi’s. According to a new report on E! Online that’s not true, and Demi has just been seeking “spiritual” help. Demi is a longterm member of the Kabbalah cult. She supposedly went on a couples Kabbalah weekend in the woods with Ashton during their marriage crisis. We know how that turned out, and we also know that Kabbalah is just as money-grubbing, and probably as ineffective, as any other cult run by people who are in it to get rich.

This is what Demi does when she’s in crisis, she turns to Kabbalah and probably drinks some expensive phony blessed water mixed with Red Bull, with which she washes down Adderall. She’s not ready to get help yet, so she’s turning to people she pays a lot of money to give her a religious experience that probably in no way challenges her. I’m making assumptions based on how she’s done under Kabbalah so far, along with some things that Madonna’s estranged brother, Christopher Ciccone, said about Kabbalah. He said that”Kabbalah in many ways has validated some of [Madonna's] bad behavior. Now it’s her way or no one’s way because she’s got God on her side… she has a tendency to use it like a weapon.” Demi is less aggressive than Madonna (like almost everyone on the planet), but I could see Kabbalah enabling their celebrity members. It’s not like they’re going to question one of their main donors. Here’s E!’s report, which also states that Demi’s youngest daughter, Tallulah, has been living with her dad, Bruce Willis. Tallulah turns 18 on Friday. Bruce’s second wife, Emma Heming, is pregnant. They made the announcement in late October so she’s probably at least six months along now. Rumer has been seen out and about and seems to have confirmed that Demi is not in rehab.

While rumors have surfaced suggesting she’s already entered a residential rehab facility (with Utah’s Cirque Lodge among the most speculated upon), sources tell E! News that as of last week, at least, Moore was not enrolled in such a program. Her exact whereabouts are uncertain, as she has yet to surface in public since her dramatic hospitalization, though as of Sunday she was not yet back at her Beverly Hills home.

However, sources close to the Striptease star tell E! News that Moore has been receiving some sort of “spiritual counseling.”

Meanwhile, Demi’s daughters are getting back to their usual routines, with both Rumer and Tallulah turning up at the Four Seasons Hotel Sunday afternoon, possibly for a spa day. On Saturday night, Rumer was also out and about, dining with friends at a French restaurant.

Their sister, Scout, is currently at Brown University and hasn’t been back in L.A. since the hospitalization.

[From E! Online]

I would say that Demi should have someone close to her advising her that she needs to go to rehab at least for the sake of her image, but she didn’t have anyone advising her not to push the “sexy and single” angle she’s been playing since the split. Demi doesn’t have anyone around her who is able to get through to her, and if she’s been hopped up on Red Bull and ADHD stimulants for months, it’s probably impossible to talk to her anyway. I want to see her get sober and healthy and gain some necessary weight. She’s not ready yet though. I really hope that she will come to the realization on her own without sliding even further downhill. Wasn’t it humiliating enough for her to have all these details leaked to the press? Pride can be a fragile and harmful thing.

Demi Moore “smoked something” the night of her seizure, probably “k2 spice”

The 911 call for Demi Moore’s medical emergency has been released. I hate listening to 911 calls because they freak me out, but I made sure to listen to this one. The exact name of the drugs the caller admits Demi was on have been redacted due to privacy laws. Two different women and a man speak to the 911 operator. They say that Demi is convulsing, that she’s burning up, and that she’s unable to speak until towards the end of the call, when she stopped convulsing and was able to say something. As for what she’s been on they state two different things, the first of which is redacted and the second they say she smoked. Here’s more:

“She smoked something, it’s not marijuana, it’s similar to incense. She seems to be having convulsions.”

The caller describes what Demi took. “Some form of [edited out] and then she smoked something.”

She’s been having some issues lately with some other stuff so I don’t know what she’s been taking or not.”

911 Operator: “Has she done this before?

“I don’t know, there’s been some stuff recently that we’re all just finding out.”

[From Radar and 911 call]

In the quoted text above I included the two statements that were the most telling to me about this call: that Demi has been “having some issues lately with some other stuff,” and that “there’s been some stuff recently.” That points to other ongoing drug use, possibly Adderall as we’ve heard.

The first drug that is redacted could be nitrous oxide, aka whip-its, as was previously reported. Radar has more information on what Demi could possibly have smoked. They say that it’s probably something called K2 Spice, which they state is a “currently legal herbal incense product spiked with powerful designer drugs.” It sounds nasty and dangerous. Here’s more, from Radar:

According to Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program, “The terms Spice and K2 refer to commercially available products that have been sprayed with research chemicals called synthetic cannabinoids but do not contain any cannabis (marijuana) components.

“These synthetic cannabinoids have been associated with impaired driving incidents, attempted suicides, and emergency department visits, and have been linked to such adverse effects as increased anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations, respiratory complications, aggression, mood swings, altered perception, and paranoia.”

Dr. Dembo said Demi’s convulsions could have been a result of smoking the substance.

“One of the things whenever you smoke not a grown substance, you are at the mercy of whatever chemicals are in there. It could be laced with something that could have the opposite effect of what you think it will.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Moore was rushed by an ambulance to the hospital following her seizure and is planning to seek help for her health, and will focus on her anorexia problem as well.

[From Radar Online]

I’ve been hearing a lot about the dangers of these new chemical type “over the counter” drugs, like “bath salts” and now “k2 spice.” They’re technically legal in some states as they’re sold for other uses, but they can cause serious medical problems including psychosis and death as they’re full of chemicals of unknown origin.

Demi is home now and I hope for her sake that she enters in patient rehab, starts to wean off the stuff she’s addicted to and gets treatment for her anorexia. Yesterday we heard that she’s been drinking Red Bull constantly along with taking the ADHD stimulant drug Adderall. Energy drink addiction is serious and combined with a prescription stimulant it must have really done a number on her body. I hope she can pull out of this, get sober and get some perspective.

Demi Moore is “jacked up on Adderall and energy drinks, refuses to eat any food”

There are plenty of Demi Moore stories to cover as she seems to be dominating the headlines for once. I’d like to start with this one, from Radar, which seems to best explain Demi’s issues. A couple of days ago People Magazine reported that prior to her hospitalization Demi had been acting the fool on nights out with her 23 year-old daughter, Rumer. On one night, Demi was seen downing a dozen energy drinks. That much caffeine and stimulants can cause serious health problems, especially in a woman as frail as Demi who refuses to eat. Well massive amounts of Red Bull aren’t the only stimulants Demi has been on. Radar Online reports that Demi’s stay-thin secret is none other than ADHD drug Adderall, a stimulant which is often abused for weight loss.

“Demi has been taking Adderall and drinking energy drinks and starving herself and those are some of the serious causes that led her to collapse on Monday night,” a source close to the actress said.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Demi had an epileptic seizure before being rushed to the hospital and she is currently seeking treatment for anorexia.

“The pills and starvation destroyed Demi and this has been a problem for about a year,” the source said about her tragic situation.

“She’s constantly jacked up on Adderall and combining that with not eating accounts for her loopy behavior and anorexic body frame. She literally refuses to eat any food…

“She’s depressed over her career and coupled with the stress and heartbreak over the split, all of this emotional turmoil in totality has taken a serious physical toll on her body.”

[From Radar]

Prescription drugs can really screw a person up and change their personality. So which came first, Demi’s issues with prescription drug abuse or the demise of her marriage? Ashton’s camp is busy painting Demi as a total mess whom Ashton took care of for the past year. X17 has details from the print edition of People, in which a “source” states that Ashton tried to help Demi with her issues. “‘It was over the last year her friends saw a change. She wasn’t sleeping as well, didn’t seem to be eating and looked really gaunt.’ Sources close to the ex-pair also tell People that Moore’s prescription drug use was a huge turn-off to the Two and a Half Men star. ‘It was a sticking point for Ashton. He wanted her to take care of herself and get a hold of things, and she wouldn’t.‘” The first time Ashton was busted cheating on Demi was in early September, 2010. I’m not saying that it’s Ashton’s fault that Demi was drowning her sorrows in Red Bull and Adderall, but it’s not like things were going great in their relationship until Demi got hopped up on pills.

In other Demi news, we might never know if the “whip-its” overdose story is bogus or not, because when the 911 call is released to the public all references to drugs Demi was on at the time will be redacted. I guess this is standard practice due to HIPAA privacy laws, and it definitely works in Demi’s favor. It’s possible that the whip-its were the last straw that caused her to have a seizure, or that it was just a cover up story for what was really going on.

Demi has been released from the hospital, just as Ashton has returned from Brazil, where he was shooting a commercial and hooking up with randoms. Ashton hasn’t yet publicly commented on Demi’s issues, but he has deigned to let a source say a few nice words about her to People. The source said “Ashton is deeply concerned for Demi. He still cares about her and wants the best for her. But their marriage is ending and they are both moving on with their lives.” So is Ashton also the “source” behind the story that he tried to help Demi but couldn’t, so he just had to stick his dick in a bunch of party girls?

In other Demi news, a new video has surfaced of her from 1982, when she was just 19, kissing a 15 year-old boy at a cast party for General Hospital, where she worked at the time. You can watch the video here and while I don’t see Demi “making out” with the kid, she keeps going in to kiss him aggressively and you can tell he’s uncomfortable with it. She’s obviously drunk and is seen swilling wine in the video. The drinking age across the US was raised to 21 in 1984, although in California the drinking age was 21 prior to that.

As for Demi’s concerns that her career is on the wane, like Lindsay Lohan she’s only making it so much worse by abusing drugs. After her hospitalization it was announced that Demi had “dropped out” of the role of Gloria Steinem in the Linda Lovelace biopic and would be replaced by Chloe Sevigny.

Demi Moore went to the hospital with a seizure due to… whip-its?

Did you ever do whip-its, or cheap nitrous oxide, when you were young and stupid? I did, and it was just the one time so I don’t remember much about it but the high was pretty minor and short-lived from what I recall. Apparently whip-its can be extremely dangerous as they temporarily cut off oxygen to the brain. A quick search reveals that the potential side effects include blacking out, seizure and even death. (Just say no to huffing and tell your kids about it!) Well Demi Moore is said to have been doing whip-its right before she suffered a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. And here I was thinking that her issue was prescription drug abuse. Here’s TMZ’s report:

Demi Moore’s friend called paramedics Monday night after the actress inhaled a dangerous amount of nitrous oxide … TMZ has learned.

Sources tell TMZ … one of Demi’s friends who was at her home told emergency workers Demi was doing whip-its. A whip-it is a street name for a type of nitrous oxide inhalant.

The friend said she became upset when Demi had a reaction to a whip-it and lapsed into semi-consciousness.

It appears Demi had symptoms of a seizure — after inhaling the nitrous.

A whip-it is not a common drug among people of Demi’s age and social status. It’s typically used by younger people who are looking for a cheap thrill.

I don’t know if I’m buying this explanation as it seems strange. I found at least one story where someone witnessed a co-worker have a seizure after inhaling whip-its, so it’s definitely possible, but cocaine use can also cause seizures. If it’s a made up excuse it’s a clever one as it makes it sound like Demi was just doing something stupid once and that she paid the price. She’s so tiny that any drug must have a big effect on her.

Yesterday we reported on a story in People that claimed that Demi was acting the fool on a night out with her daughter Rumer and Rumer’s buddies just prior to her hospitalization. Demi was said to have been grinding all over a 27 year-old actor, Ryan Rottman, who was last linked to 18 year-old Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice. (Really!) Not to be outdone, US Weekly has news of another wild night out for Demi at the same club, Beachers Madhouse, in which she was dancing on tables while guys watched her. That was on January 11. At an event with Rumer on January 15, Demi is said to have “ordered about a dozen Red Bulls that night.” So she’s drinking tons of Red Bull, hanging out with her 23 year-old daughter’s friends and doing whip-its. Demi definitely wants her youth back.

Meanwhile, you remember how I wrote yesterday that Ashton Kutcher would probably rush to Demi’s side after her hospitalization, if only because it was the right thing to do? Sadly, I was wrong. Ashton is still in Brazil partying with young chicks and he’s still totally ignoring this. He hasn’t even tweeted encouragement to Demi, which makes me sad for her. She’s crying out for help and some kind of acknowledgment.

The photos of Demi in the red dress are from 10-17-11. She’s gained a little much-needed weight in the most recent photos in the black dress, which are from the “Red Bull” night, 1-14-12

Demi Moore was out w/ Rumer, grinding on a 27 yo guy before hospitalization

More details are coming out about Demi Moore’s emergency hospitalization, and they paint a picture of a woman who is out of control and in desperate need of help. It’s sad what we’re learning and I’m really hoping that this is a wake up call for Demi and that she can get healthy both physically and mentally.

First of all, there are reports on both E! Online and Radar that Demi suffered some kind of seizure prior to being rushed to hospital. The official story is the old standby “exhaustion,” but we’ve heard it’s a “substance abuse” issue, the substances of which are unknown. E! reports that Demi was “acting like she was suffering from a seizure” before paramedics were called to her home. Radar agrees with that account, and adds that she’s “being treated for anorexia, among other substance abuse issues.” They quote a source who says “Demi is in getting treated for anorexia, as well as other issues that caused her seizure.”

It sounds like prescription drug abuse or some kind of drug interaction, legal or otherwise, although that’s just speculation. People Magazine has a story about Demi’s “wild night out” with her daughter Rumer, 23, prior to her hospitalization. It sounds like they’re mildly calling Demi out, which is similar to what they did in 2010 when it first came out that Ashton was cheating. They claim that Demi wasn’t seen drinking, but that she was grinding and fawning over a 90210 actor named Ryan Rottman. People never mentions Rottman’s age, but he’s all of 27. He also has dark hair and the same type of “pretty boy” looks as Ashton used to have. Here’s People’s story:

Wearing a short black skirt and striped sweater, the actress, 49, arrived at Beacher’s Madhouse at The Roosevelt Hotel just after 11 p.m. on Jan. 11.

“When she first arrived, she kept to herself … but she started loosening up and getting into party mode,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE about Moore, who sipped Red Bull at the hot spot. “She seemed really happy to be out with her daughter’s friends.”

Though she was not seen downing any alcohol, Moore, who split from husband Ashton Kutcher, 33, last November, appeared to be lapping up male attention – especially from 90210 actor Ryan Rottman.

“She found ways to touch him all night, and at one point when he was in front of her, she was grinding on his butt,” the onlooker said, adding that “his shirt came unbuttoned, and she started tickling his bare chest playfully.”

When she wasn’t flirting with Rottman, Moore stuck close to her daughter, and stayed until the nightspot closed.

The mother-daughter duo also had an awkward encounter with Kutcher at a CAA/Grey Goose Pre-Golden Globes bash at Soho House Jan. 13. Kutcher arrived at the party after his ex, but the former couple generally avoided any contact.

Willis, however, did spend some cordial, friendly time chatting with him before going back to hanging out with her mom.

[From People]

This is a woman who can’t let go of her “sexy” image and who is behaving inappropriately around her daughter and her daughter’s friends. I still feel bad for Demi though. She’s obviously in a lot of pain since her marriage ended and adding drugs on top of all that is only making it that much worse for her. Plus, I’m not surprised to hear that she’s anorexic. She really looks it, although she’s a little healthier lately. The black dress photos below are from January 14th and she’s put on a little much needed weight since her last public appearance, in the red dress on October 18th.

Do you think Ashton is going to rush to be by Demi’s side? I really do. He’s been down in Brazil partying with young chicks but he still really wants some kind of relationship with his stepdaughters and I think he’ll fly back to see Demi. Plus, it’s the right thing to do.
