Ashlee Simpson has been linked with a few guys since the news of her seemingly shocking split (to those who care) with Pete Wentz. She’s been rumored to be hooking up with heavy tatted drummer Travis Barker, which would be a dumb move considering Barker’s history of fighting and reuniting with his children’s mother, Shanna Moakler. Ashlee also tweeted a photo of herself out to dinner with the former guitarist for her band, Ray Brady, right before she filed for divorce. (They were there with Ashlee’s friend, stylist Natalie Saidi.) And she’s reportedly been hanging out and partying with some pro skaters. Now Ashlee has been linked with yet another guy, a rocker friend of Pete’s named Craig Owens who is signed to Pete’s record label. They were photographed together and Star Magazine claims that Ashlee somehow seduced this guy, as if guys need seducing usually. Here are two reports on this, from Star and In Touch via Jezebel’s tabloid roundup.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has been seeing Craig Owens from the band D.R.U.G.S., which just released its first album on — DUN DUN DUN — Pete Wentz’s record label. The mag has three pix of Ashlee and Craig hanging out together, and apparently they were seen holding hands at the Beverly Center Mall, and they even kissed on the lips. (There’s a lot of teenage behavior in the tabloids this week.) But Ash & Owen better watch out. Ashlee Simpson is having a “revenge romance” with Craig Owens, a longtime friend of Pete Wentz. “She played the part of the temptress, getting Craig to ignore his friendship with Pete,” says a source. “She loves that it worked.” Craig has been Tweeting subtle messages like, “When you wake up to messages from someone special… knowing you’ll look at them over & over throughout the day… Smiling really big each time” and “the faith I have in us will keep you near.” There’s a chance that these are song lyrics, but whatever. “Ashlee’s determined to move on first,” the source says. “She won’t tolerate being seen as ‘the poor ex-wife who got dumped. Star is really phoning it in lately. They have a nice twist on this by claiming that Ashlee somehow tempted the dude, but from most all accounts Ashlee is the one who dumped Pete, not the other way around. She’s not seen as “the poor ex wife who got dumped,” and Pete was supposedly begging her to reconsider. These two were 24 and 29 when they got married. Ashlee is just 26 now and she’s playing the field. She may be dating one of Pete’s friends, but it’s probably just because the guy is convenient and her type, and not necessarily because she wants to hurt her ex. Pete is probably pissed off about it though.

Popeater’s Rob Shulter has supposed insider knowledge of some trouble in Kelsey Grammer’s very new very quick marriage to 29 year-old British former flight attendant, Kayte Walsh. According to Shulter, the two are disagreeing about where to live, with Kayte hoping to stay in New York and Kelsey planning to move back to Los Angeles to work on a project and be closer to his kids. (Probably in that order.) Kayte is likely to suck it up and do whatever her new sugar daddy wants, but it’s an indicator that their marriage is already showing cracks after a whole two weeks.

Kelsey Grammer and his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, have only been married a couple of weeks and already the new Mrs. Grammer is starting to understand that being married to Kelsey isn’t as easy as you might think. Sources close to the pair tell me they’ve already stumbled upon their first rift — and it involves about 2,800 miles and an ex-wife.

“Kelsey wants to move back to LA to be near his daughters and start working on a new TV project with Starz,” an insider tells me. “But Kayte would rather stay in New York where she has close friends and is far, far away from [his ex-wife] Camille.”

The ‘Frazier’ star will win in the end, friends say, but the disagreement so early on “should be a warning of what is to come.”

The May-December couple (he’s 55, she’s 29) have been laying pretty low since their Feb. 25 wedding, which came just two weeks after he finalized his divorce from his wife of 13 years, Camille, 42. But on Friday, the pair emerged looking happy as can be as they rambled around midtown New York and Central Park. In many of the pics, Kelsey obliged snappers by laying a few kisses on his bride.

Maybe Kelsey will look at these photos of a beautiful day in NYC and change his mind about heading back to Los Angeles and the realities of living near an ex-wife? Not likely.

“Kelsey has an enormous ego and definitely likes being the boss,” my source tells me. “Everything goes great when your answers is ‘yes’ to him.” And right now, he’s saying “yes” to being near his young kids with Camille, 9-year-old Mason and 6-year-old Jude.

It’s been a drama-filled first chapter in the story of Kelsey and Kayte, who became pregnant but lost the baby while the actor was still very married to Camille, now a star of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ Kelsey announced he was engaged to Kayte and said, “We are in love and see no reason to postpone our happiness any longer.”

You know that Camille is Shuter’s source and she’s repeating some gossip she overheard from the nanny. Camille has been interviewed by Shuter a few weeks ago and she probably has him on speed dial.

I disagree with the claim that these two have been keeping a low profile since their wedding. Those kissing photos are just as staged as their vacation photos. I also doubt that Kayte and Kelsey will be breaking up anytime soon. Kayte has her career path mapped out for her, and it involves about ten years by Kelsey’s side, followed by a divorce when Kelsey inevitably stops idealizing her and replaces her with a younger model. By that point she’ll be a very wealthy, spoiled, botoxed, up-her-ass woman. It remains to be seen whether she’ll be a NY or an LA wife and it matters little.

A couple of days ago, Jon Gosselin was photographed “hard at work” installing solar panels on a building for his new job in construction, having quit the office job he was so proud of because it involved “too much travel.” I contemplated running that story, but then figured that Jon Gosselin would get plenty of other jobs over the next year. Well now Jon supposedly wants Kate back, probably because she was so good at helping him make minor everyday decisions that he finds perplexing on his own. Plus there’s the whole issue of Jon’s standard of living decreasing dramatically now that he’s on his own and completely unable to hold down a basic job or manage his money. Popeater has this story, along with the news that Kate supposedly is on board with this idea, because she misses the life she had with Jon before she was forced to become a “single mom” pulling in hundreds of thousands for the few times she bothers to interact with her kids.

“They both realize how much they miss each other,” a friend of the couple’s tells me. “Neither one of them have been really happy since their ugly split and would love to turn back time to the point where they were both in love before fame took over.”

Jon recently traded his Ed Hardy shirts for a hardhat and scored a job with Green Pointe Energy, a Pennsylvania-based renewable energy company. The former reality star and computer techie spends his days installing solar panels and doing other good-for-the-planet deeds.

“Jon is in a great place,” a friend of the father of eight told me last month. “He is happy and knows what a fool he made of himself after his split from Kate…”

So after the ups and downs of 2010, the couple have found peace again, especially now that the cameras have gone away. As everything has started to return to normal so have Jon and Kate with Jon now working in green construction and Kate turning to being a full-time mom again.

“After the split the both of them were out of control. Kate thought she was going to be dating Brad Pitt, and Jon was sure he was going to be a superstar. Neither one of them found what they were looking for when they were single and have both come to the conclusion that maybe they are right for each other.”

Plus, it wouldn’t hurt ratings on next season’s show! Just saying …

This story is probably from Jon’s camp, because he didn’t get enough press for those very staged photos of him smoking on the job. It makes me wonder if he’s still with the last coed he hooked up with, that Ellen chick who had an advice column online. She still has a photo of herself with Jon on her website, but it’s pretty far down the page. I would bet that she kicked him to the curb and that Jon is considering going back to Kate in order to quit having to worry about paying his bills. Plus it might absolve him of the $10k a month child support payment he’s surely unable to make. I could see Kate acting on camera like she’s taking him back without really letting him do more than live above the garage again while her lover/bodyguard stays in the house. If welcoming Jon back breathes new life into her rapidly fading reality show she’ll probably consider it. She’ll do anything to increase her long over 15 minutes.

I wonder if I should have put “warning” in the title, but I think the title is warning enough. Here’s just-divorced Kelsey Grammer, 55, kissing his 28 year-old British girlfriend poolside on a “pre wedding getaway” in Miami. I’m sure it’s correct to assume that Kelsey called the paps, since he needs publicity for whatever reality show he’s going to parlay this jump off relationship into. As Lainey Gossip mentions, these photos are a bleak reminder of the reality of a 28 year-old hooking up with a man old enough to be her daddy. (Who just happens to look like he could be. Oh and the photos at Lainey Gossip are grosser.)

In news about Kelsey and his ex wife, Camille, In Touch reports that the former couple’s children are split up between the two with son Jude, 6, staying in New York with Kelsey and daughter Mason (yes, that’s her name), 9, staying with her mom and four nannies in Beverly Hills. They also claim that Camille had a fling with a “rocker.” Here’s more:

Their kids [are] 3,000 miles apart on opposite coasts. “Jude has been staying with Kelsey and Kayte in New York since early January. He’ll stay with them through the wedding and then return home,” an insider tells In Touch. “But Mason is still with Camille in California. She’s furious with her dad and refuses to have anything to do with Kelsey’s wedding to Kayte.”

Meanwhile, Camille, 42, is trying to move on… [she] recently re-entered the dating pool. “She briefly dated a rocker friend of Tommy Lee’s,” says the insider.

I don’t see Camille going for a rock type as she likes clean cut men like her boy toy Nick. Maybe she will go for anything at this point. She certainly seems to flirt with all men indiscriminately.

So if Kelsey and Kayte are in Miami where is his son Jude? Did he come with them with the nanny or stay back in New York with the nanny? I think it’s safe to assume wherever these kids are they don’t get much time with their parents.

Kelsey and Kayte are due to be married next Friday, February 25, in New York. Will they sell the photos? Need I even ask?

Just about every tabloid has some account of the reasons behind the seemingly sudden split of Emo poster couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. There seem to be a lot of leaked stories from both sides, and as Kaiser reported previously US Weekly blamed Ashlee for the split, saying she’s been partying and hanging out with other guys. OK! Magazine, which we also covered, basically claimed that Pete was never around since he was touring with his band and that stressed Ashlee out. Well In Touch, The National Enquirer and Star all have their own takes too and I’ll start with The National Enquirer since their claims are the most explosive. I would guess this first report comes from team Ashlee.

Enquirer: Pete is hooked on pills and booze, has “wandering eye”
Fed up with the rocker’s abuse of prescription drugs, his wandering eye and because she feared for the safety of the couple’s 2 year-old son, the singer-actress filed for divorce on Feb. 9 after less than three years of marriage.

Although Ashlee had been pressuring Pete to go to rehab for a while – and had even threatened to leave him – insiders say the troubled musician didn’t take her demands seriously until it was too late.

“Ashlee realized that Pete had become a functioning addict and that he wasn’t making any effort to quit,” revealed an insider.

He’d been taking the sleeping pill Ambien, the sedative Xanax and painkiller Oxycontin, said the source, and Ashlee had concerns about Pete’s behavior around their son Bronx…

“When Pete drinks and takes pills, he goes wild. Ashlee doesn’t trust him to be faithful.”

In Touch: They haven’t had sex since summer, Ashlee gave up, they both partied
“The passion between them had died,” [Ashlee's] friend says. “They haven’t been intimate since last summer, and were sleeping in separate beds.”

Star: It was complicated, they were both attracted to other people
[A] source tells Star that whispers about the nature of Pete’s relationship with Bebe Rexha, the sexy new singer for Black Cards, “definitely helped push Ashlee over the edge. And with Pete and Bebe about to go on tour together, I think it was eating away Ashlee to the point of no return.”

Ashlee… found [a shoulder to lean on] in her ex-boyfriend Ray Brady, former guitarist for her band. On Jan. 26… Ashlee posted a new photo to her Twitter account showing her and Ray having a cozy dinner together.

Star: Ashlee broke up with Pete over the phone and he missed Superbowl
Despite the mounting problems in their marriage, friends say that Pete was genuinely blindsided by Ashlee’s decision. And that seem clear on Saturday, Feb. 5, when Pete received a sudden phone call from Ashlee while he wsa partying in Dallas the day before the Superbowl…

“He was supposed to stay in town to see the game on Sunday, then return to L.A. the day after. But he suddenly got a phone call about a ‘family emergency’ and ended up rushing out of Dallas that night. He never got to see the game.”

That phone call was Ashlee killing two birds with one stone, a source tells Star. “She broke the news that she was going to divorce him and ruined his big Superbowl weekend at the same time!”

Both The Enquirer and Star have that story about how Ashlee called Pete during his trip to Dallas before the Super Bowl to break the news that she was divorcing him. And by most all accounts Pete was shocked and begged her not to do it. The Enquirer story makes the most sense to me. If Pete was taking all those prescription drugs that would explain why he wasn’t interested in sex at all. Being hooked on pills like that can really change a person and make them irresponsible and unreliable. Meanwhile Ashlee was drinking and partying toward the end because she knew it was over and was blowing off steam. They were too young to get married, and Pete needs to get off the pills. Hopefully little Bronx will be ok throughout this mess.

I have to admit that I knew that Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller weren’t divorced yet, because I pay close attention to these stupid details for my job. It seems like they should have been long over, but given the immense undeserved wealth that Charlie is so intent on squandering there are plenty of details that needed to be worked out. The settlement has been all squared away, and a judge signed off on it but ruled that they won’t be officially single until May 2 for some reason. Brooke has said that Charlie isn’t cheating on her because they’re separated anyway, so it’s not like an officially married status is keeping Charlie from starting his hooker family.

Brooke is going to get $55,000 a month in child support along with a $500,000 signing bonus for marrying Charlie and at least $300,000 extra. (Her prenup stipulates that she gets $300,000 per year of marriage and they were together for over a year.) So Brooke is going to make some money off of this, but considering that Charlie makes $1.2 million an episode it’s not like she’s getting even 7% of his income for one year. (Based on the amount of episodes last year and factoring in child support.)

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hank Goldberg finalized Sheen’s divorce from his ex-wife Brooke Mueller Sheen, but the pair will not be legally single until May 2.

The actor and Brooke Sheen filed dueling divorce petitions in November, citing Christmas Day 2009 as the day of their breakup. Charlie Sheen was arrested in Aspen, Colo., that day on suspicion of domestic violence against his wife. He later resolved the case and spent 30 days on probation.

The former couple will split the royalties from baby portraits of them and their twin sons, and the actor will keep his Hollywood Hills home, court records show. The Sheens signed a prenuptial agreement before their May 2008 wedding, which called for Charlie Sheen to pay Brooke Sheen more than $750,000.

The pair will share legal custody of their sons, although physical custody is granted to Brooke Sheen with substantial visitation time allotted for the actor. He is required to pay $55,000 a month in child support, according to the agreement filed with the court.

Doesn’t it seem like Charlie treats hookers better than the women he marries? They probably make more per hour, that’s for sure.

There are all sorts of other stories about Charlie. In Touch reports this week that he’s not taking at home “rehab” seriously, no sh*t Sherlock, and that he has those fake teeth over his gold fillings because his teeth are ruined from years of drug abuse. Charlie recently smiled for some paparazzi photos without his fake teeth on and his gold teeth look much better than they did in the TMZ video.

Charlie is expected to go back to work on the Two and Half Men set by the end of the month. He’s offered to cover 1/3 of the salary of the crew, who work as freelancers and go unpaid when the show is on hiatus, in the interim. EW estimates that it will run him around half a million.

If Charlie can hold it together enough to do his job the show will probably go on. His image isn’t even taking a hit from it. A new poll shows that more people think of him favorably after this latest scandal.

Kelsey and Camille Grammer’s divorce went through in New York today, which means he’s free to marry his 29 year-old British jump off on February 25 at the Plaza Hotel. That must be a relief to the new couple, since they’ve already sent out the invitations and presumably firmed up most of the other details. The divorce was bifurcated, which means Kelsey and Camille are legally split now but that they haven’t yet worked out all the pesky money issues. Since they own multiple properties around the world and there’s over a hundred million dollars at stake it could get complicated.

Kelsey has posted $2.3 million for the privilege of being free to marry the next one (also without a prenup) and as TMZ explains that “protects Camille’s pension rights against any new spouse.” Earlier reports have Camille balking at a settlement offer of $30 million. She is supposedly holding out for $50 million. All those nannies, managers, housekeepers and paid “yes” people don’t come cheap.

Camille has issued a statement to Radar Online saying she has mixed feelings but wishes Kelsey and Kayte the best. “I have a great many mixed feelings about today — I’m sad for what was, yet excited about the road ahead. I’m grateful to my family and friends who have stood by me through this time — I will never forget their love and support. What I most hope is that Kelsey and I can improve our communications and truly co-parent our two wonderful children; and I wish Kelsey and Kate love and happiness in their new marriage.”

Camille has recovered quite well from the probably accurate way she was portrayed on RHOBH this season.

As we discovered yesterday, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s marriage is no more. She filed for divorce, and she’s asking for joint custody of their son Bronx, as well as spousal support. Ashlee got the first word on why they were splitting too – Camp Simpson leaked that it was all because of Pete’s “erratic behavior.” Then Camp Wentz released his side: they just grew apart and his love of music and touring was a factor, and there were no third parties involved. Also, TMZ reported that Pete tried to talk Ashlee out of filing for divorce, to no avail. Us Weekly has some theories too:

Although the couple’s Wednesday divorce announcement came as a shock to many, insiders saw trouble brewing way back in June 2009 — when Ashlee, 26, and Pete, 31, were married for a mere 13 months, and prone to explosive blowouts often punctuated by alcohol.

At issue? Balancing their professional and romantic lives with the pressures of parenting an infant son, Bronx, then 7 months. At the time, the duo fought “constantly,” and singer-actress Ashlee was “seriously considering leaving him,” one insider said.

Things boiled over at a June 1 party — where a visibly drunk Ashlee got into a nasty public spat with Michelle Trachtenberg, Pete’s ex girlfriend.

Simpson-Wentz was “reverting to drinking and going out, because she is sick and tired of her life,” another pal said. The alcohol was “an outlet for her unhappiness, and Pete is getting fed up.”

After hanging out in the same social circles for years, the couple got romantic in late 2006 — and raced to the altar in May 2008, when she was 3-months pregnant.

“Ashlee loves Bronx but jumped into marriage and having a baby too quickly,” one pal told Us. “They feel they got trapped in a situation they were too young for.”

In Wednesday’s statement released by their spokesperson, the couple said: “We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority.”

E! News has an exhaustive timeline of their courtship, marriage and split here – and after I read through it, I understood a little bit more why this union had so many problems. They spent a lot of time apart, and while they were away from each other, they did a lot of solo partying. Also: Ashlee cannot hold her liquor! In most cases, I would say that the dude would be the one going buck wild post-split, but my theory is that we’re going to see a lot of photos of Ashlee out in clubs, partying her ass of in the months to come. Maybe even a rehab visit? I wouldn’t rule it out.

In documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Simpson cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

She’s asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody of two-year-old Bronx.

Simpson, who is repped by disso queen Laura Wasser, is also asking for spousal and child support. Wentz is repped by Stacy Phillips.

Sources tell TMZ there is no prenup.

Through the years, there have been rumors of Pete’s infidelities, and there have also been rumors about Ashlee’s multiple issues, like her alleged drinking problem and her alleged eating disorder. And yet… I honestly thought they would last. Well, I thought they would last longer than this. Sad!

UPDATE: Here’s the couple’s statement via People Magazine (through Ashlee’s rep): “After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. UPDATE: And it’s already begun. TMZ has a story about why Ashlee left Pete. A source says, “It’s really all about Pete’s erratic behavior… She really wanted out.”

This week’s National Enquirer claims that not only is Kelsey Grammer moving forward with plans for his own reality show (as many people assumed when he started his own reality production company) but that he’s going to film his wedding to 29 year-old stewardess Kayte Wash as some sort of plot for the show. That would explain why he’s already sent out invitations to the February 25 event despite not being legally divorced yet. He may just be filming a faux wedding, Heidi and Spencer style, for the sake of the show.

Camille… is blasting [Kelsey's] plans to flaunt his new fiance and upcoming wedding on TV – and she is worried he’s going to use the show as a weapon in their pending divorce battle, the Enquirer has learned.

“Camille has vowed that if Kelsey goes through with his own reality show and ends up making her look like a fool, then it will definitely be an all-out war,” said a source close to the blonde actress…

“Camille thinks Kelsey’s plan with a reality show is pure damage control – he wants to make himself look like the level-headed, caring spouse who had to deal with Camille’s crazy antics.”

The thing is, we want to see Camille and Kelsey fight, we don’t want to see Kelsey make lovey-dovey with his jump off, unless the mistress/fourth wife is incredibly dumb or an obvious scheming golddigger. We need characters, and if Camille is smart (and she is, like a fox) she’ll refuse to let Kelsey use any footage of herself or their kids on his new show.

Camille and Kelsey are of course still fighting over the details of their property settlement in court. It’s not yet known whether Kelsey will be legally free to marry Kayte by the end of the month.

Meanwhile there’s news that Camille is going to play a fictional version of herself, named “Camille,” on “Sh*t My Dad Says.” This breathy-voiced passive aggressive bitch is going to be around for a long time, and pretty soon she’s going to win the divorce lottery.
