I just saw these super cute photos of Rachel Bilson frolicking on the beach in Barbados with her boyfriend of many years, Hayden Christensen, and I thought “please don’t let Hart of Dixie be over, please don’t let it be over” since I love that show and thought that this was some kind of promotion for the finale. But it’s not! There are four more episodes and I didn’t even see last night’s episode yet so there are five for me, yay! (If you like romcoms you will like Hart of Dixie, it’s dumb sometimes but it’s also campy and awesome.)

This is Rachel telling us that she’s available for work now that “Hart of Dixie” filming has wrapped (presumably) and that we should be paying attention to her. We are, and she looks super cute. I wish I had a body like that, damn. She looks thin but not emaciated and I’m surprised at how “curvy” she is, although she isn’t really curvy. I never knew what Dr. Zoe Hart was packing under those dress shorts.

This also might be Rachel, 31, announcing that she’s engaged! You know that Hayden Panettiere (there are too many Haydens in this story) recently did that, she staged some bikini photos to sort-of announce that she was engaged to Klitschko, that lucky bitch. I’m not jealous of Rachel or anything since Hayden C. is not that hot to me and he’s not a decent actor. (Gah, Star Wars.) But good for her, you know? She looks super happy and relaxed and I like that she’s not looking all haughty or posing with duck lips.

The last we heard of Rachel she was on Cosmo saying that she was a great girlfriend and she puts her man first. She said “I’m definitely the person who would make him his favorite dinner to come home to.” She also said she wanted kids and that “I definitely have family on the brain.” So is she engaged?! It’s not like she’s rocking a ring on the beach, but Hayden might have proposed on this romantic beach vacation. That’s what Wade would do, but [highlight for spoilers for past Hart of Dixie episodes] Zoe dumped that cheating bastard. She’s probably going to get with that new hot doctor dude, Jonah.

OMG look at this monkey pic!! I would be grinning like that around a little wet monkey too. That’s why she looks so thrilled.

I’m a big “Hart of Dixie” fan, and I blame (thank really) The Fug Girls for turning me on to it. It’s a cheesy, predictable show but it has really likable characters set in an ideal southern small town, and it’s so charming. So that’s why I’m fond of Rachel Bilson, she plays the lead character, Dr. Zoe Hart, a New York city-based young doctor transplanted to the fictional town of Bluebell. She’s not a fabulous actress, but she’s cute and charming too, and I remember her well from The O.C. (Loved that show!)

All of that is preface to this Cosmo interview and cover with Bilson, in which they’ve released only a few quotes out of context. She comes across as annoying and kind of pollyanna-ish, but we don’t know what questions she was asked. Like maybe they asked her “Do you consider yourself a good girlfriend? Do you cook much?” Because otherwise her answers are sort of one-note:

Bilson on how she and boyfriend, Hayden Christensen, spend their free nights: “I love to cook, so we make dinner at home a lot and watch movies.”

Bilson on having kids: “I definitely have family on the brain. Having kids is something I want to see in my future – I hope.”

Bilson on being a good girlfriend: “I’m a really good girlfriend – I always put all that first in my life. I’m definitely the person who would make him his favorite dinner to come home to.”

Bilson on what she wears for a hot date: “Guys are so visual. I can never go wrong with a tight dress or a short skirt.”

Bilson’s response to a Cosmo Quiz question: If I could do a karaoke duet with anyone, it would be “Eminem”, and we would sing “anything. I secretly want to be a rapper.”

She sounds to me like her character on Hart of Dixie, or maybe I have a hard time separating her from Zoe Hart. The stuff about guys being visual sounds like something Zoe would say, like advice she would give to her little teenage friend, Rose. Zoe is always wearing tiny dress shorts after all.

The other stuff, about how she’s a great girlfriend and puts her boyfriend first is also something that Zoe would say. I swear that was a plot for the show one week, when Zoe was trying to support Wade and being super agreeable and it just backfired on her since Wade found her bizarre. In that context, these quotes make sense. Plus it’s Cosmo, they’ve been working to appeal to a younger audience and they may have coached Rachel, or otherwise distilled her quotes into the most basic. “Put your boyfriend first! Cook for him! Wear tight dresses and short skirts!” I hope Rachel is more nuanced than this, because even her goofy show acknowledges that this kind of attitude can only get you so far.

Getting back to Rachel, she’s been with Hayden Christensen since at least 2007 and they got engaged in 2009, broke up in 2010, and then got back together in 2011. So maybe Rachel is angling for a ring again with all this talk about babies and how she’s a great girlfriend. I don’t know much about Hayden except that he’s a homebody and lives on a farm. If Zoe pressured her down-home boyfriend to propose, it would backfire.

We have some photos from the summer press tour for CBS, Showtime and The CW. Here’s a smattering of stars from those networks, in no particular order. Kaiser will be covering more of the fashion in a bit. First off is Rachel Bilson, and I’m headlining with her as I just watched the whole first season of Hart of Dixie and kind of loved it. It’s cheesy and it’s predictable, but the characters and the setting are so much fun. Rachel is actually great in it, and I’m looking forward to seeing how her character Zoe Hart solves her man dilemma come next season. I’ll have to wait a while, though, it doesn’t premiere until October, damnit!

As for Rachel’s outfit, I think she was going for quirky, but the tucked-up asymmetric hair and the dippy bow on that blouse just ruin it for me. Zoe Hart would never wear this outfit or those dumb pants with the flared pockets. Zoe would wear some dressy short shorts paired with a sexy t-shirt and some hot wedges.

Jaime King’s character on Hart of Dixie is usually styled straight out of the 50s. Jaime King the actress typically dresses much worse than this, so this navy brocade button down blouse and short skirt are surely fug, but not as bad as they could be. This outfit is Stella McCartney, of course. Her styling leaves a lot to be desired. King has one monotone shade of brown eyeshadow that she’s paired with bright red lips. I also dislike her shoes.

Speaking of bad styling, here we have AnnaLynne McCord looking like a corpse. She seems to have forgotten to wear mascara and she’s got way too much blush on. Look at that tin foil dress paired with black cage booties. This girl could do so much better.

I’m throwing in David Duchovny at the end here because he could still get it. I’ve never really watched Californication, though. I just got Showtime so I might watch some back episodes on demand. The sixth season premieres in 2013.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen look to be back together after their split last summer, as evident by these photos of the couple no one cares about vacationing in Barbados. Several photo agencies have these pictures, and again this is in Barbados and it’s not like any photographers are going to be following these two on vacation. Rachel wore several different bikinis for these photo ops (here she is in another bikini on DListed) to maximize her publicity options. I suppose we’ll next be hearing about how they’re re-engaged:

The couple, who reportedly threw in the towel on their over three-year relationship in March, were spotted soaking up the sun during an island getaway to Barbados to celebrate Christensen’s 30th birthday.

Bilson, 29, was photographed showcasing her fit physique in several tiny string bikinis while spending the day swimming in the Caribbean ocean with Christensen, whom she met on the set of “Jumper” in 2007. The low-key couple later got engaged in December of the following year.

But last summer, the actress was spotted sans engagement ring as reports surfaced that she and her “Star Wars” beau were “taking a break” to reevaluate their relationship. One of the main reasons for the split was reportedly due to the distance between Bilson in Los Angeles and Christensen in Canada.

Bilson’s rep confirmed in August that the couple’s engagement was off, but the two appeared to be giving their relationship another shot when they were spotted hanging out again in L.A. three months later.

Despite breaking up and making up yet again, the couple may have to face another geographical obstacle if Bilson continues working on her new pilot, “Hart of Dixie,” in Wilmington, N.C.

I’ve said that I don’t find Rachel as grating as Kaiser does, but I’m definitely seeing Kaiser and Lainey’s point that she oversells. Bilson had one movie out last year, she has one in the can for this year (with Kate Bosworth, doesn’t that seem fitting?) and now she’s staging vacation photos to announce her next project. She also has a porcelain line at Macys and hopes to go into bedding. I’m surprised she doesn’t have a perfume, clothing line or exercise tape out yet.

When your main career as an actor or singer is flailing, there’s always the opportunity to try and sell your personal life and launch a side business to bring in cash. Still, Bilson is doing much better than her old O.C. costar, Mischa Barton. That’s not saying much.

As I’ve mentioned before, there are few fashion houses that I think more highly of than Burberry. I absolutely love with Christopher Bailey has done with the label, but all great men have an Achilles’ heel. Bailey’s problem is that every talentless toothpick wants to wear Burberry, and they want to come to the shows too. I give a pass when it’s someone like Sarah Jessica Parker – for all of SJP’s faults, she loves fashion, and she knows a lot about it. But when the biggest “name” you’ve got at a Burberry show is KATE BOSWORTH, there are problems. Significant problems. Huge problems. Anyway, these photos are from outside of today’s Burberry show in London (it’s currently London Fashion Week). The Bos is wearing Burberry, of course, on her slouchy, emaciated body. And I don’t care that so many of you disagreed with me last Friday – I still think the bitch is jacking her lips, Lohan-style.

And if Kate Bosworth wasn’t enough of a completely useless, self-styled fashion girl-slash-famewhore, Burberry got a special deal: two boring girls for the price of one. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Rachel Bilson was there too.

Finally, you know it’s a sad day when I have to write this: Alexa Chung looked the best out of all of the useless girls. She completes The Trinity of Useless Famewhores.

Rachel Bilson has a line of porcelain available at Macy’s and says she plans to branch out into bedding soon. She’s already put out a fashion line, and she was accused of ripping off other designers. Unlike Kaiser I kind of like Rachel, but I’m starting to see Kaiser (and Lainey’s) point that Bilson is full of herself. What does she do exactly and when was the last time we saw her in anything? Like there’s no shame in not getting work as an actress and trying to promote yourself, but she gets papped in a disproportionate amount to her level of fame. Here is a link to Rachel’s dishwear. It’s reasonably priced but not my style at all. I like modern and minimal design, not fussy and flowery. That’s why no one is designing dishes like her. Maybe Rachel is hoping to be like the Jessica Simpson of domestic design. She’s just about as qualified as Jessica I guess.

About four months ago, I didn’t really have any strong feelings about Rachel Bilson. I thought she was cute and harmless and boring, and likely engaged to a young actor who beeped significantly on my gaydar (Hayden Christensen). Then, seemingly all of a sudden, Bilson was an old-fashioned, Paris Hilton-type famewhore. She was going to the opening of an envelope, walked every red carpet, and making sure she got herself pap’d every other day. Along the way, she and Hayden split up and Rachel somehow played that into even more “candid” paparazzi shots and appearances at fashion shows, random gossip pieces and red carpets. And before you say “She wasn’t calling the paparazzi on herself” – please. Like anyone would give a sh-t enough to say “Hey, I hear MOVIE STAR Rachel Bilson is going to be walking her dog today!” She’s not Angelina Jolie. She’s not even Jessica Biel. She’s like a less talented Ashley Greene, and that’s saying A LOT. Anyway, what did all of this famewhoring get her? A part in a movie. With Kate Bosworth. And Bosworth got top billing. Yeah… it really doesn’t seem worth it.

Anyway, People Magazine has a stupidly suspicious piece about how Rachel and Hayden are back together now:

After calling off their engagement in August, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen are giving their romance another shot.

“They’re dating again,” a friend of the actress tells PEOPLE.

And they’re not hiding, either.

Last week, Christensen was seen leaving Bilson’s house in Los Feliz, Calif. With Bilson based in Los Angeles and Christensen living in Canada, distance was reportedly one of the main reasons for the split.

So what’s this about? Did they both come to the understand that two irrelevant people somehow make a barely relevant couple? Is this some kind of famewhore negotiation process, where they’re both just in it for some extra press? How about this: instead of calling the paparazzi on yourself week after week and getting your publicist to plant items in People, you just get some work and focus on it. Keep your head down and work on your craft. What’s that? Your “craft” is walking red carpets and pushing stories about who you’re hooking up with? Maybe she should even leave Hollywood for a year or two, and go do some stage work, or even charity work. Oh… wait. Famewhoring is all that Rachel is capable of, right?

This news is sort of a non-event, but still, it’s looking like a slow news day, so what the hell. Back in June, Us Weekly reported the rumors that Hayden Chistensen and Rachel Bilson were on a “break”. The two had been engaged since February 2009, and there hadn’t been much in the way of wedding planning or excitement, so the news didn’t come as a big shocker. Plus, many of us feel that Hayden might be confused about his sexuality, but whatever. Anyway, Us Weekly got a hard confirmation from Rachel’s rep that the engagement is totally off. Still nothing from Hayden’s rep, although who knows if Harden’s rep is even answering his calls at this point?

Is it sad? Sure. Rachel really seemed to love Hayden, and I’m getting the vibe that she’s kind of heartbroken. I’m also getting the vibe that Hayden couldn’t care less, and that he’s working through his own sh-t right now. I’m hoping that Rachel gets her act together, career-wise, and comes back smart. Does she think she’s too good for another television show? She’s not. She’s a cutie, and she would be great on a smart television show. Also: I’d like to see her get a new stylist. But first we need to work on her career.

Also – Hayden was seen a few days ago with Sophie Monk? Are they hitting it? It doesn’t appear so, but you never know. Didn’t Sophie fake-date Ryan Seacrest at one point? Oh, this doesn’t look good.

Us Weekly is reporting that Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson have “taken a break” from their relationship/engagement. I’m so shocked… except, yeah, I forgot they were engaged and they’re both kind of boring. But I’m getting a feeling that something not-so-boring happened between the two of them. According to Us Weekly’s report, it’s only an unnamed source who claim they’re taking a break. BUT, when Us Weekly asked Rachel about her wedding plans on Wednesday, she pointed to her ringless hand and said “No, no plans, no nothing.” Hm…

I know some people hate GayWatch and my own personal gaydar, but for all the joking around we do about people like Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, Bradley Cooper and Daniel Craig, Hayden’s vibe makes my gaydar jump more than any of those guys. And Hayden’s gay vibe isn’t sexy like Daniel Craig’s, where I want to see Daniel naked and groping another hot naked dude. Hayden’s alleged homosexuality seems sad to me. Like, he doesn’t know who he is. Like he’s hurt Rachel Bilson just because he didn’t want to acknowledge who he is. That’s just my take on their relationship problems though – in photos he doesn’t even seem to notice that his fiancee is a little cutie. He doesn’t seem engaged in her at all. But, whatever. God knows what was really going on.

By the way, a lot of people noted Hayden’s recent appearance at the CFDA Gala, and how fabulous he looked. Is he just a straight Canadian dude with style?

I’ll admit, I rarely think about Rachel Bilson one way or the other. Her style and talent seem hit-or-miss, but on the plus side, she seems like a nice girl with a decent head on her shoulders. Thus, most people aren’t paying attention to her, I think. She’s not a hot mess and she’s not some bombshell. She’s just cute and there. Anyway, Rachel has a new movie called Waiting for Forever, and the premiere was last night in New York. This white Preen dress was what she wore – what do you think? It’s weird, right? Like it could have been really special and cute and amazing, but the designer f-cked it up with those strange boob cups and the rib cage cut-out. If the stuff from the waist up was changed only slightly, she would have looked amazing. Eh.

Rachel Bilson showed off her petite figure in a bizarre bra cut-out Preen frock at the premiere of her new flick, Waiting for Forever, in NYC Thursday. (The actress, 28, also donned nude Brian Atwood pumps.)

The back of the cream colored gown featured a bright yellow neon stripe of fabric.

Bilson — who has been engaged to her Jumper costar Hayden Christensen, 28, since February 2009 — recently admitted to Cleo magazine that she’s obsessed with shopping.

“I’m not a shopaholic in the sense that I spend lots of money; I definitely love vintage and I love finding deals just like anyone else. But I do like to shop!” she said.

A hint of yellow. Eh, the problem is that she doesn’t have the boobs for this dress. ScarJo would have filled this out until the cups runeth over. Rachel just stuffed her A cups into the dress and the underwire section just looks stiff and too big.

By the way, about the actual film… the synopsis for Waiting for Forever is: “Life has gotten complicated for actress Emma Twist. Her mediocre TV show has been canceled, she’s on the rocks with her boyfriend Aaron, and her fathers illness has been deemed terminal. To make matters worse, her childhood friend Will Donner, whom she hasn’t laid eyes on since they were children, has decided now is the time to profess his true feelings for her. When everyone unexpectedly converges in Emma’s hometown, questions of family, love, and how we live our lives are explored.” Rachel plays Emma. Blythe Danner is in it too. Sounds totally boring.
