Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer’s new romance hasn’t been thwarted by his rumored dalliance with a blond at a bar. The two good looking famous people were photographed poolside at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami yesterday. Aniston put her arm around Mayer in the pool and they were seen cuddling on the lounge chairs afterwards. Just Jared notes that they had a workout session together just prior to this and were cooling down.

Mayer performed last night at the wrap party for Aniston’s film Marley and Me, in which she stars with Owen Wilson. According to In Touch, the party was rescheduled to accommodate Mayer’s performance:

After filming for three months in Miami, Jennifer Aniston has big plans for the wrap party of Marley & Me, including a special performance by her new man, John Mayer! In Touch can reveal that the celebration will take place at Nikki Beach in Coconut Grove on May 10, where the sexy rocker will perform at least three songs. According to an insider, the party was originally supposed to take place on May 9. “Everything was changed at the last minute so John could do this for her. He’s crazy about Jen.” The pair have fast-tracked their romance and the insider says, “It’s hot and heavy but in that very cool way.” The insider on the set adds, “John isn’t going to hide his adoration and he’s telling everyone what a cool chick Jen is.” Looks like this relationship is anything but a wrap!

Mayer handled the big tabloid hoorah over their first photographs together extremely well, saying “This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don’t fault him. There are much worse problems in the world. Everything’s cool!” These two are really growing on me and I’m actually rooting for them.

Mayer has a new video on Funny or Die in which he makes fun of his douchebag persona. He’s wearing a tracksuit in the clip and acting full of himself. At one point he’s talking to some music producers about song concepts and says “How about something everybody can relate to, like when you’re f’ing one supermodel and the other ones jealous?”

The guy is not my favorite person and I don’t get him, but he’s not as bad I thought he was. Maybe Aniston is mellowing him out. Or maybe they have, like habits together, that help them mellow out. Nudge nudge.

Katherine Heigl might be the first of the Grey’s Anatomy core cast to move permanently into film, following her success in Knocked Up and 27 Dresses.

A source close to the actress said: “She’s working really long hours and is ready to move on. She’s a smart one.

“She saw what can happen with someone like Jennifer Aniston, who was crazy successful on TV, but can’t seem to carry a film, and she tested the waters early.”

However, Heigl - who made headlines when negotiations for her contract renewal on the show were made public 15 months ago - may be locked into her contract and will have to continue starring as Dr Isobel Stevens.

The source added to Us Weekly magazine: “I don’t think she’ll be able to get out of it.”

Katherine Heigl is pretty smart, looking at establishing a movie career as well as a television career. Of course, two comedies is not exactly a stellar movie career – dare I suggest that she is not warned by Jennifer Aniston’s career, but rather trying to emulate it. Jen starred in quite a few successful films, and proved beyond a doubt she can act in The Good Girl, but still never had a real film career. She was always Rachael from friends, and with re-runs she probably always will be. I wouldn’t give up a paying job in television just yet, Katherine.

And unlike the character of Izzie, most of us liked Rachael, and we were happy when she ended up with Ross. I for one, and I know I’m not alone, don’t like Izzie. She’s annoying, and a bit stupid, and is dating a married man, and his wife is her boss. She has calmed down in the last season though.

I suspect that the Grey’s Anatomy producers wouldn’t be sorry to get rid of Katherine – in the past she has badmouthed their plotline as being a ratings ploy, and also criticized the Knocked Up writers for making her character a ‘shrew’.

Maybe I’ve been doing this too long- but I don’t believe for a millisecond that the so-called romance between singer/amateur douchebag John Mayer and actress/professional victim Jennifer Aniston is the real deal. Maybe it’s because it came completely out of nowhere, while both of them were linked to at least one other person, and the usually private Aniston is suddenly being photographed with Mayer all over the frickin’ place. It’s so completely out of character for a woman who doesn’t even walk to her car after leaving a restaurant with friends without her bag in front of her face to hide from the paps. Anyway, everyone is talking about this “relationship,” so, mission accomplished, guys.

Although they’ve kept their relationship quiet, In Touch has learned that John Mayer is crazy about Jennifer Aniston. He flew to Miami on April 23 and checked into the Four Seasons hotel, but insiders say that he spent virtually no time there during his visit — opting instead to hang out in the $3,000-a-night presidential suite at the Mandarin Oriental, where Jen has been staying while shooting the movie Marley & Me. And the two were inseparable over the long weekend. When asked how he was doing, after spending four days with his new love, John smiled. “My weekend was good,” he told In Touch exclusively.

After a long weekend of lounging and laughing in Miami, Jennifer Aniston stayed behind to film her movie while John Mayer returned to New York.

“They already miss each other,” says a source close to Mayer.

Adds another source, also close to the singer: “It’s very real. They’ve been seeing each other for a few weeks now.”

Aniston, 39, and Mayer, 30, were first seen together publicly last Friday when they had an intimate lunch at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in the Miami Design District. Later in the day, the two were seen at Casa Tua on South Beach.

Aniston remained in Florida to shoot Marley & Me with Owen Wilson, hanging around a hotel with her gal pals. Mayer went home to New York, hitting the club Butter with buddy Josh Groban on Monday, then joining a friend for a meal at Il Mulina on Tuesday.

John has a proven history of putting his skeezy moves on young, ditzy starlets- what could he possibly have to offer a strong, smart, more famous woman like Aniston? John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston were spotted out together a third time after having apparently having lunch and dinner and spending the night together at Aniston’s hotel on Friday in South Beach, Miami. OK! Magazine reports that they were seen having dinner on Sunday, so maybe we can assume that they spent the weekend together and that those are the times they were seen out.

OK! also says that “friends” of Mayer’s are warning Aniston that he is a charmer who hits it and quits it, and that she should watch out for herself, because he has a history of making girls swoon over him and then pulling away. He is said to have been relentless in pursuing Jessica Simpson, but to have quickly grown tired of her:

John Mayer is arguably attractive. He’s not my type, but a lot of women like the dark brooding type and he’s certainly a talented musician. What I want to know is how anyone can stand being around him for an extended period of time. He seems like such a self-absorbed talker that he would bug the shit out of even the most patient women. Still, Mayer must have something that these beautiful successful women find attractive.

In an excruciatingly long interview with Best Life Magazine, Mayer revealed that he worries about what the girl of his dreams “thinks when she reads about me in US Weekly.” Jennifer Aniston also has a whole public persona invented and perpetuated by the tabloids, and they must be able to relate to each other incredibly well on that issue. Perhaps Mayer is a better listener than you would assume, and it’s possible Aniston is willing to listen to him ad nauseum, because they have a lot in common. Maybe they’ll find some solace in each other and last as a couple. You can sort of see them working despite Mayer’s history.

Jennifer Aniston is not dating Orlando Bloom. This should be a relief for Orlando’s girlfriend and Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr.

OK! reports the new couple has been pals since Bloom was cast alongside Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2003 movie “Troy,” and that the actress has held a longtime crush on the 31-year-old Brit.

In its new issue, the publication quotes eyewitnesses who claim the pair “only had eyes for each other” at an Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation fundraiser last month.

A source tells OK!, “They were like heat-seeking missiles.”

But Aniston’s representative has dismissed claims of a romance, insisting, “Orlando is a friend. They both have the same manager and sometimes will be at the same place.”

The cover story on the latest National Enquirer is about Jennifer Aniston’s quest to adopt a baby. They say she already has the adoption process underway for a baby boy and “has been telling pals she’ll be bringing home a newly adopted son by Christmas.” Although this could just be wishful thinking on someone’s part, the Enquirer has enough supporting details to suggest this story is true. Aniston is said to have ordered renovations on her home that include a nursery, and she already has a name picked out for the boy:

The 39-year-old “Friends” beauty has shifted Operation Baby into high gear - building a $300,000 nursery, buying baby clothes and telling pals she’ll be bringing home a newly adopted son by Christmas…

And although Jennifer has at least three more films in various stages of preproduction, “her free time is devoted to finding the perfect little boy,” says her friend.

“Jen picked a name for her son from her Greek roots. She decided to name him Alexander - which means defender of men.

“She jokes that he’ll grow up to be the best divorce attorney in Hollywood…”

The Enquirer has learned the actress already has met with architects to begin further renovations on her fabulous $15 million Beverly Hills home.

“She scrapped a planned office and is instead converting the space into a first-floor nursery for her baby.”

The Enquirer says that Aniston’s good friend Sheryl Crow, who adopted a baby boy as a single mom, was a large influence in her decision to chose adoption. They also say that despite Aniston’s busy career she thinks the time is now and plans to have help and bring the baby on set with her.

As for the story that Aniston suffered a miscarriage during her marriage to Brad, that isn’t backed up by much information and may or may not be true:

“During Jen’s marriage to Brad she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage,” the friend continued. “Although she was able to pick up the pieces and move on, Jen has never forgotten how close she was to fulfilling her lifelong dream - becoming a mother.”

The article goes on to quote the same “insider” as saying that “Jen is happy for [her ex husband] Brad, but she thinks how he’s gone about building a family is weird. She believes he and Angelina have expanded their family way too fast.”

We’ll have to see if any of this is true and if Aniston is actually adopting. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this rumor, and it doesn’t sound likely to me given her work schedule. She just started her own production company and has a lot of projects coming up. Her career does offer more flexibility and ability to be with her baby than most working mothers, and more power to her if she’s made the decision to adopt.

Jennifer Aniston is said to be writing a tell-all book, where she spills the beans on what really happened at the end of her marriage. Or at least it will share her side of the story.

Jennifer Aniston will write about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in a new book, say reports.

The Friends star is going to speak out about the breakdown of her marriage to Pitt and about his current relationship with Jolie, claims the Daily Star.

A source said: “This book could ruin Angelina and Brad. Jen will prove that the pen really is mightier than the sword.”

This story was shot down last year when Star Magazine ran a “Jennifer Aniston’s $5 Million Tell All” cover story in which it came out that they had photoshopped a catalogue she was carrying to make it look like a manuscript.

The wheels of the Brangelina rumor mill just keep on turning, and here’s the latest from In Touch magazine. It’s the same story we’ve heard before that Angelina Jolie is expecting twins, except now they’re claiming it’s a boy and a girl.

The couple has yet to confirm the baby news, even though Jolie’s ever-growing belly suggests she’s with child, and their publicist is offering a firm “no comment” on the latest reports.

According to In Touch, Jolie was overheard cooing about her unborn babies on the set of Pitt’s new movie, Tree of Life, in Texas, telling one pal the little ones are “kicking and moving.”

A source tells the publication Jolie and Pitt were overjoyed when they heard they’d be having twins after a visit to their obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Jason Rothbart last week.

I’m over the whole Angelina Jolie has another baby thing. The rumors are not going to get confirmed until the end of the pregnancy anyway so they may as well quit making up stories about it.

Some other speculation on the pregnancy is that Brad and Ange will be naming the girl twin Mallory at the request of Maddox, and that the pregnancy is the result of fertility treatment. At this point, like the Jennifer Aniston tell-all book, it all sounds made up.

Jennifer Aniston is rumored to be dating a key grip from her film, Traveling, Brian Bouma, who was also linked with Smallville actress Kristin Kreuk. Aniston was photographed with the tall handsome crew member going to her car outside Courtney Cox’s Oscar party on February 24. The two were then spotted out at dinner on February 28. Despite this promising new relationship, people are still linking Aniston to her co-stars, including Traveling’s Aaron Eckhart, who plays her romantic interest in the film. The tabloids’ attention quickly turned from Eckhart to Owen Wilson once photos came out of Wilson and Aniston on set. The two play husband and wife in the film and were acting, but of course everyone had to point out how cute they looked together and what a great couple they would make.

One story about Aniston and Wilson that sounds true is OK! Magazine’s report that they do yoga together on set with a trainer brought in for their sessions. OK! also talks about how both Owen and Aniston are in casual relationships with other people (Owen is seeing Kate Hudson, but it’s said to not be serious and they’re trying to keep it quiet) and how great it would be if they got together - since Aniston’s biological clock is ticking and all.

Now, friends say Jen is taking baby steps on the road back to love. “She really is cautious about who she gets involved with and she’s always been very discreet,” a friend tells OK!

But that’s not to say she wouldn’t click with Owen. Jen’s criteria for potential suitors includes “must love dogs,” something that fits Owen to a tee. “Owen adores Jen’s dog Dolly,” a friend of his tells OK! “He loves animals in General, but he always compliments Jen on how well behaved Dolly is. Owen is especially impressed with her training. He freely admits that he wouldn’t have the patience to train a dog.”

Owen also shares Jen’s love of yoga. “Both Jen and Owen talk about yoga on the set all the time,” says a pal of Jen. “They share an instructor who does sessions with them. It helps keep a light and relaxed mood on set.”

While the tabloids relentlessly focus on Aniston and her love life, they seem to be largely giving a pass to Wilson, who has been spotted out drinking and partying several times recently. Wilson attempted suicide last August and was said to have quit drinking and doing drugs through the help of a sober companion. He even took a spiritual vacation afterwards that included a “cleansing ritual” performed by a Native American medicine man on the walkway above the Grand Canyon.

Wilson was said to be downing tequila shots at a party earlier this month. Maybe if drinking isn’t his problem he won’t get in trouble again, it’s hard to judge:

“I saw him do three tequila shots,” revealed an eyewitness…

Later, at another Miami Beach hotspot, The Florida Room, an observer saw him down another tequila shot.

If that was Britney out drinking at clubs everyone would be pointing and talking about her, but only the Enquirer covered this in an inside story. In February Helen reported on an article from the NY Times about how female trainwrecks get all the attention. The reason could be that men don’t sell as many gossip magazines when they appear on the cover, no matter how hot or troubled they are. We want to gossip about other women, so we give the men a pass. Hence the focus on Aniston and her relatively tame quiet life.

Every time Jennifer Aniston makes a new movie, the tabloids fall all over themselves, rushing to link her with whatever male lead she is working with. And when she’s not making a movie, Jennifer is rumored to be madly in love with someone new every week. Since Christmas alone, she’s been linked to Jason Lewis, Orlando Bloom, and a grip from her new movie “Traveling.” Oh, and somewhere in there she was supposedly hooking up with ex Vince Vaughn, too. Now, Star Magazine claims that Jennifer and her “Marley and Me” co-star Owen Wilson are having fun together- on and off the set.

According to a Star source, Owen Wilson has been cozying up to Jennifer Aniston in Miami, where they’re currently playing husband and wife on the set of the upcoming film Marley and Me.

“The hugging didn’t end when the cameras stopped rolling,” one crew member tells Star. “They were very flirty together, far more than you would expect. In between takes they were hanging onto each other. They are very friendly.”

Before they even started filming, Owen and Jen started bonding. Back in October, Star reported that they were speaking regularly by phone and Jen sent Owen some of her favorite books, including The Power of Now. At the time a source close to the actress said, “Owen has come to rely on Jen’s phone calls.”

Now, by all accounts, Jen and Owen, both 39, are having the time of their lives working and hanging out together.

“Jen wasn’t looking forward to it at first because she was worried about working with Owen, but he has turned out to be a real surprise,” an L.A. friend tells Star. “She’s finding out that he’s a terrific guy who’s fun to be around.”

Marley & Me, based on John Grogan’s memoir about his beloved Labrador retriever, is Owen’s first major role since his suicide attempt last August.

And it looks like his chemistry with Jen was instantaneous! “Jen is known for being a recluse on set,” says the friend. “But she’s having so much fun hanging out with Owen. She’s just really relaxed and happy, which is nice to see.”

I don’t believe this story for a second, and here’s why: The photos that go with the story of Jennifer and Owen hugging and smiling together are obviously stills from the movie shoot, in which they play a couple who owns a precocious dog. Of course they’re supposed to look like a couple- that’s what they’re getting paid to do in the movie! Now, if Star had coughed up candid photos of Jen and Owen snugging in a cafe, that would be a different story.

If I were Jennifer, I’d get pretty sick of all these stories about my love life. But who knows? Maybe she likes all these stories. It’s better than stories about a poor, heartsick Jen still pining away for Brad Pitt and the babies they’ll never have.

All of Hollywood is abuzz! The gossip blogs are literally on fire as I type. Jennifer Aniston did not, I repeat NOT – want to hang out with her ex-husband-who-left-her-for-some-hotter-chick’s best friend. Can you believe it? In the snub of all Hollywood snubs, Jennifer apparently doesn’t want anything to do with George Clooney’s attempts to be friendly. George and Brad Pitt are BFF you know. According to OK! (and just about every other magazine in existence) George and Jennifer both attended the Night Before gala, an annual party held the (you guessed it) night before the Oscars. When George went up to Jen to say hello and have a little conversation, things got tense.

Oscar winner George Clooney certainly has his fair share of female fans, but OK! has learned you probably shouldn’t count Jennifer Aniston among them! The handsome Michael Clayton star — who just happens to be best buds with Jen’s ex Brad Pitt — sauntered up to the actress at last Saturday’s Night Before gala in Beverly Hills, where she was busy chatting with Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Orlando Bloom, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan, outside of Bar Nineteen12.

“George attempted to be friendly, but Jen wasn’t having it,” one eyewitness tells OK!. “After enduring a few minutes of the actor’s presence, Jen turned on her heels and made a beeline for the Sunset Ballroom, where most of the guests were mingling.”

Courteney, naturally, joined Jen, leaving her affable husband, David, to make awkward small talk with George!

Ooooohhhh, awkward. Does everyone in the world have to love George Clooney? I mean let’s say, just for argument’s sake, that Jennifer never liked George. Why the hell should she bother pretending otherwise for more than a few minutes if she doesn’t have to? And I’m not sure “making a beeline” for the ballroom is the greatest of snubs. She’s an actress. She’s classically trained in the art of throwing a glass of champagne in a man’s face, but she didn’t do it. If she really can’t stand George, I think she showed some restraint. Though I’m not sure Courteney Cox running after Jen to make sure their umbilical cord was still attached was the most mature move.
